Owner was very rude. Accused me of being in his store for 1 hour and I was only there to meet someone. I was only there for 20 minutes. I gladly left and he was cursing me out on the way out.

Like every review mentions about the owner, Indian guy. Had same issues with him. Spend your money elsewhere. Dude is trash!

Place used to be great. But, I am worried about the owner. He seemed intoxicated, which is not professional. Very uncomfortable service.

Awesome neighborhood store! Great beer selection with knowledgeable and super friendly staff. Went in unsure of what to buy and received some great beer recommendations from the guy behind the counter. They easily have the best beer selection in the area! A++

Today, one of the employees at this stores location was very disrespectful and condescending toward my friends and I, not because of our character, but because of the complexion of our skin. He kept referring to us as “Mexican illegal immigrants”, although I am Latino, I did not appreciate the condescending tone/ assumption he had created toward us. He treated us as though we were lesser than him, because of our assumed nationality. I do not believe you should victimize or subjugate a person for the way they look or dress. This is unacceptable, and I will not stay silent about it.

This family owned deli/bar/wine&beer/convenience store has everything an apartment building could want! The staff are friendly and intelligent, the item prices are competitive if not cheaper, the beer and wine selection comprehensive and selective, and the food and ice creams are a delight!My only regret is that it isnt 24h because I would pay rent to live inside the Monterey Mart!!!

Indian looking man with English accent that works there is very racist he didn’t believe my id was real called someone to check and said to the man that he hated how Mexicans couldn’t speak English and his dislike of them (assumes I am not fluent)as a Latino I would never give this place another dime.

The Indian looking guy with the English accent is a whole trashcan when he’s drunk.
