Arhaus has a beautiful selection of furniture. The staff in Bethesda is great specially Kent. However I placed an order over 4 months ago and paid in full for a pretty expensive table. Arhaus lack of customer service and commitment is disappointing ! Arhaus has not taken the initiative to call me not once to offer an update about my table. I was told the table should arrive within a month of my purchase. I had to call Arhaus concierge three times for an update and I have every time been told “we are sorry your item is delayed “ . Three weeks ago I called concierge and requested to speak with upper management, I was told I would receive a call back from the Regional Manager in a 2 day period. NEVER GOT THE CALL. I Emailed concierge last week. NEVER GOT A FOLLOW UP. You would assume Arhaus is a serious and committed company. Unfortunately that is not the case here. I believe a 5 month wait is absurd. I also bought furniture pieces from stores such as WestElm and my furniture was delivered within the time frame originally promised. I would hope Arhaus will read this review and someone will follow up with me with an update other than “we are sorry your item is delayed “ Extremely Disappointing.
Love the furniture, organization, layout, and quality. Its a delight to visit and I enjoy looking, and in some sense dreaming. Sales staff is courteous. friendly and helpful.
Bought a sofa set on March 25th and was promised a delivery date around July. Someone reached out to me a month later and said that it would be August. I was patient and waited until now. Its August!! Not one update, but I get spammed everyday. I reached out to them on Monday the 9th and have yet to receive a response. I called the customer service number and requested to speak to a supervisor and left a message. Crickets. Called again asking for someone to speak to and supposedly the District Manager will reach out to me. Im not going to hold my breath. What upsets me the most is that Ive been paying for something for months now and havent even received it. I wouldnt be so upset if I just received an update. You would think that I would receive a excellent customer service experience from a high end store.
We placed an order in May for 2 sofas and Janine promised that one of them would arrive by August and the other in the fall. It is now September and we have not received the sofa promised to arrive in August. We called the manager and she was very disrespectful on the phone stating that they never promised and that there was nothing they could do and that she is unable to provide an estimate of delivery. This is awful customer service and we will never purchase from this store again. I suspect we were given a false promise just to make the sale.
My favorite furniture store! We adore Ken, he’s the best, and his taste is impeccable!
Complete bate and switch. We purchased a sofa months ago with a promise of a delivery date at the end of May. Its been pushed back three times now and we are looking at the end of July with absolutely no guarantee of delivery then either. If I knew what a hassle this would be to get a product we payed for months ago I would have certainly gone with a competitor.Edit to the response below: Weve reached out to staff members on numerous occasions but there is no resolution to the actual issue here which is that we payed for a product months ago and Arhaus is unable to give us any confidence that that the date they give us will be honored.
I was trying to buy a chair, but one of the workers kicked me out because i was just browsing. She told me “no ma’am” saying i had to leave. I was just trying to browse but they clearly do not let costumers do that?
This was my first visit to Arhaus. What a beautiful, welcoming and, yes, enticing showroom. The furniture tends to a style of modern traditional.Very well made and totally customizable to fabricsLead times to delivery vary but tend to be 6 to 10 weeks, even 14 weeks possible. Service was superb. Our rep took time to understand our needs and addressed our opinions with options. The negative is the cost of parking. There are 2 free hours but expensive rates thereafter.
My wife and I have purchased several pieces of furniture from this particular store and they have been great each time. We like the look and quality of Arhaus furniture, and we have found the manager here to be super helpful and friendly. She was a pleasure to deal with and helped us find a couple extra chairs from another nearby store.
My wife and I just purchased a king size bed from this Arhaus location over the weekend. The staff was very helpful and made for a wonderful visit. While they did not have the specific model on display at this location, the salesperson on the floor named Kent and his colleague at the register assisted us with similarly sized beds. They also provided us with a swatch of the fabric to take home. It was a five-star experience all-around. Given how, like many people, my wife and I read online reviews for this store beforehand, I think it is important to address some of the negative ones from our own experiences as recent customers.1. Most nice furniture stores, among many like Arhaus in the DC area, do NOT carry inventory at the location. This is not an IKEA. They are more like showrooms and the salespeople take your order and give you the their best delivery ESTIMATE at the time of the order. Issues with delivery discrepancies are not the fault of any specific store or the salespeople working there. They are not maliciously trying to deceive anyone with overpromised delivery dates and simply provide the information they see from their warehouse systems. While I am not excusing gross delivery overpromises and I do agree it can be frustrating to have delays from delivery dates given at the time of the order, these delivery related complaints are best served to the corporate entity and not the retail store staff. Think about what you would do if you were in their shoes.2. Complaints about a specific piece of furniture, e.g. the fabric, again are not representative of the place of purchase for a nationwide retail brand, but rather can be very helpful as a review on the products webpage. The Arhaus website has every product they sell along with a place for customer reviews. Take for example, if I purchase an iPad from the Bethesda Apple Store and the screen breaks from what I believe is a poor quality material - it is asinine and unfair to write a negative review for the Bethesda retail locations salespeople regarding issues with a specific product. I can and should share my feedback with specific to the product elsewhere, just not here.
We own something like 15 pieces of furniture from Arhaus. They have such an eye for stylish, timeless furniture. Truly heirloom quality as well. We just couldnt be happier with our bed, dressers, chairs, dining table, love seat, ottoman, executive and writing desks, filing cabinets and book cases.
Great customer service every time I come for my purchases. Fair prices and the excellent selection of furniture is what makes me come back more and more. Bravo!
Jamie provided excellent help and advice with design and colors. Her expertise helped me achieve the look I wanted and my living room looks amazing!!!! Michael was incredibly helpful with customer support and very professionally handled all my requests. Decorating a challenging room with their guidance was an exceptional experience.
Bad customer service. Do not recommend. Furniture too overpriced.
If you place a custom order from them, it may take up to 19 weeks to be ready.
Furniture too over priced, bad customer service, staff not helpful. Not a very welcoming environment.
Staff was incredibly helpful in picking out new lamps and the right fabric for my sofa set. Everyone was very professional and courteous in the store.
My husband and I bought 2 living room chairs, a chair and a half with an ottoman. The fabrics are truly awful. Within the first year, the large chair and ottoman started pilling and feathers were coming out. The living room chairs attract dirt that will not come out, we have tried everything, even a professional cleaner, who charged a large fee, couldnt get them clean. When I calledArhaus, I was told, We guarantee the the furniture structure, not the fabric. Someone came out and fixed the escaping feather problem. That was it. We thought we were buying high quality living room furniture that we could be proud of for many years. Before it was two years old, we were embarrassed to have guests come over. I am writing this for anyone who is buying an upholstered piece from Arhaus. Be prepared to have your furniture reupholstered within 2-3 years at another big expense.
Lovely furniture! I dread every time my wife wants to just walk through the store.
Nice selection. Overpriced as hell but nice.Stay away from their Arhaus credit card scam. They promise you rebates and money back certificates, but getting these certificates is like pulling teeth.I had to threaten legal action against them to extract my certificates, which eventually came 9 months late. Using the certificates was a whole another ba of dirty wax. Stay away from their store credit / rewards scam.
Very bad experience, will never do business with them again and will not let anyone I can influence do it either.Ordered furniture on Dec 20th 2017 and emphesized we need it by mid March for an event, you will have it by early March latest promised the salesperson.Came early March and we called numerous times to get a delivery date and was told it will not be ready and we never promiss a delivery date says the manager now.Long story short after talking to their headquarters numerous time since we got no answer from the store I noticed they are not much better at headquqrters and the lady who was responsible for disputes promised to call me the next day which she never did and also lied to me later promissing the store manager will give us a discount for our inconvenience and he never did, finally after 5 month on May 12th 2018 we got our furniture and some parts are still missing.very poor performance and customer service. Except towards the end when the store manager called me since I complained to the headquarters not even once they called or emailed to inform us of the status of the order and delay in delivery
This store is an absolute nightmare to deal with!! We purchased a number of pieces from the Rockville store in Feb and told that most pieces would be ready for delivery in late April and one piece estimated for delivery in early May... We get notified in MID-MAY that a few items are ready for delivery, but that they cannot specify which items they actually are... Soooo, we receive 2 night stands (no bed) and 4 kitchen chair cushions (no chairs and no kitchen table). Basically, a useless delivery. Fast forward to MID-JUNE, we finally receive the rest of our order, minus a coffee table. HOWEVER, our kitchen table has a significant crack at the base, and the kitchen chairs arent properly prepared to have the cushions installed onto them! The assistant manager comes to the house to assemble the chairs only to inform us that someone will have to come out another time since holes werent pre drilled. It takes them another month to replace our kitchen table and we have the forsight to cancel our coffee table order. Throughout all of this, the staff at Arhaus were extremely unhelpful in providing updates, offering solutions to our ongoing frustrations, and were overall a nightmare to deal with! Their furniture is indeed very nice, but not even close to be worth purchasing with the quality of service and communication (or lack thereof) that they provide... TERRIBLE!!AND, to add insult to injury, the delivery company put a 3 foot scratch into our hardwood floor today while swapping out a damaged item!! Seriously????
Eclectic, unique, stylish home furniture.
Customer service is terrible, people are rude, and the furniture is overpriced. Save yourself the trouble and head to Belfort furniture.
Very nice
