The staff was really nice.. The clerk lady let us tie the pup up because their are no dogs on the tubes or bus. (So heads up Pups) the river was pretty nice scenic wise. Its the low rapids that make the trip a not so smooth one.. over all worth the nice drive and cost.. thanks Sunrise

Guy, this river is BEAUTIFUL and the service here was incredible. As much as I want to keep this place secret, the woman who runs this tube rental place is awesome and she deserves all the business she can get. I highly recommend this rental place! River was a little low with rapids at some points but it was nothing dangerous by any means. It made the ride more exciting, we laughed the whole time!

Even though the river was too low to tube today, the owner Patti was there to greet me with a discount on my next visit, after the rain, when the river will be wild again!

Had a great time on the river. Patty who runs the place is super nice and gives amazing service. The river is quiet and flows pretty good. Our time on the river was about two hours and we only stopped at the sandbar for ten minutes. Definitely would recommend going and we cant wait to go back. Thanks for the great time!

We had a great time tubing! It is a bit of a challenge to get around the rocks and trees (the river is low so that doesnt help). It was still so fun though! Clean!!Service could be better... there is a couple blocks walk from the rental station to the river which can be difficult on a hot day with coolers and kids. We would go back because its local and we enjoyed the river.

We love floating down this river. Its so clean and beautiful and a decent ride. It takes about 2.5 hours and the rapids are fun but not scary. We live to take the kids and always have a blast. The staff is amazing too.

This is a quaint little place to enjoy ice cream in an unexpected, off the beaten path old bank. The ice cream war good but at a high price. The shop is small but cute. The staff was young but friendly.

Went on July 7th 2019. Trip took 2 hours had several shallow rapids that were fun if you kept your butt up. We went from 415 to 630 in the late afternoon. We were the last group out before close. My wife and two daughters 14 and 16 had fun and would go again. We stayed at the wild river state park about 7 miles away. Middle aged female manager was pleasant that got us checked-in and drove us back

Great little family owned and operated establishment. They great their customers like friends and take care in what they do.

Had another great time enjoying the beautiful, serene river. I dont know what people expect from a natural, ever changing piece of nature ~its a river! Yes there are small rapids, trees and rocks that you have to navigate around and lift your butt up through the shallow parts but thats what its all about! They cover that concept before you can even get in the water. Yes you walk a few blocks to get to the entry point. If you cant handle the walk you really shouldnt be tubing. Dont let some peoples unrealistic expectations stop you. Rent the extra tube for your drinks and snacks. Bring a bag with a couple towels and bug juice while you wait to get picked up. Enjoy!!

Great local joint. We used the tubing service. They provided great advice on bringing bug spray, when it was pretty buggy. Shuttle ran nice and quick.

June 29 2019. Nice tubing on quiet river. Our group of four only saw 10 other people on the river; both groups had stopped on the side for a bit. Otherwise a nice quiet ride. A short walk to the launch area, and a shorter than expected bus shuttle ride back. Yes, it is a river, so there are some fallen trees. There are rocky areas where you have to lift your butt. Thats part of the fun of river tubing! Overall the river was pretty shallow. I never noticed it deeper than thigh high on adult. Meandering river with vegetated banks. Great ending with available Bridgemans ice cream at the old bank building. They have pizzas too. Good family fun. Great service too. Very nice people. They may not be open on days with highs in the 60s. I would recommend, especially for a family.

This place was absolutely disgusting. Everything was dirty, I don’t think they have ever cleaned. The lady running the desk said the river was high and it was absolutely not. We hit multiple rocks the whole time and most of the people In my group got hurt. The rapids on this river are dangerous and there is a rapid right where you get out (she said there was a sign but there was no signs telling us to get out there.) My mother in law and I struggled to get out and she got stuck on some branches. The lady was also rude at The end of the river. 0/10.

Dont waste your money here!! For starters the ice cream and tubing are over priced. We had to walk a block to a park to get into the river. Once we were in, there were huge rocks and fallen trees every where. It was hard to relax and enjoy the ride when we were constantly trying to dodge debris and stay afloat. Going down some rapids I got stuck on a branch and couldnt get free for a few minutes. Once we were back on land we explained what happened to the owner and she could have cared less about our experience. She just told us, thats tubing and no one else has complained. She never once said sorry. This is the worst customer service Ive ever had and will not be going back.

We went on a day where the river was low. The ride was a bit rough but the person working told us multiple times that it would be like that and made us well aware. Even through that it was still pretty fun and would be really fun if the water was higher. Price is fair as well.

Worst tubing experience I have ever had. We were told at the beginning the river was in good condition and we would not encounter rapids and fallen trees. The employee who gave us that information had not been on the river in 4 weeks. To say the least, he was wrong. It was rapid after rapid and combined with the current it made it unenjoyable and dangerous, leaving us to frequently stop. The river experience aside, it was the customer service that did it in for me. They had no regards to their paying customers. They had assumed we were careless about time and we were cussed out for taking too long. We then sat in the shuttle while the driver angrily drove back, speeding through the park. When we got back he threw my keys at me and banned us from returning. No business should be able to get away with handling situations as such. Besides taking too long we were respectful and abided by their rules. I would give them zero stars for our experience that we PAID good money for.

Stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant while coming back from Hay Days. We were hungry and looking for some good eats. We just happened to show up as they were opening. Our family ordered cheeseburgers which were nothing short of delicious! Our kids even ate ALL of theirs. The other couple we were with ordered a pizza and I had to have a slice to see if was any good. My taste buds were in heaven! We are planning on coming back next summer to check out the tubing and to camp in the nearby state park. Two thumbs up as my kids would say!

Know what your talking about before you post! Its local friendly great food and family owned. Its the river experience. They provide the family outlet ☺

We had so much fun tubing down this river, Im not sure what the others are talking about, all the Rapids and Rocks and trees are what make the tubing fun, its a part of tubing, its rather tame to most rivers Ive tubed down, we brought our six year old with and there were lots of other familys so definitely great for kids, not really a party river. And the staff were very pleasant and helpful with us. Cant wait to go again!

My friends and I (3 of us) wanted to get together for a relaxing Sunday. We decided to try out tubing on the Sunrise River opposed to the Apple River thinking it would be a little more relaxing and quiet. When we got there we waiting for a bit by the registration office and were eventually greeted by one of the workers. When we were on the shuttle he told us there is one rapid and one tree down but other than that everything is fine. When we got in the river, the basket to put our cooler in that we paid $10 for almost broke off of the tube and we had to rush to get more twine on it. Thankfully one of my friends brought extra twine. As we started going we realized that there was more than one rapid. (Overall we think there were more than 10). They got scarier and scarier to go through. Our butts and legs got beaten and bruised by the rock and there was no way to avoid them at the pace of the current.. within the first 30 minutes we got stuck on a tree limb and my friends tube popped. So we floated the rest of the way with 3 people and 2 tubes. In one of the rapids the tube my friend and I were on flipped and broke off from our other friends tube. It was extremely scary the rest of the way with having to stop every 10 minutes to get adjusted back on the tubes and making sure we wouldnt be broken off again. When we were almost to the end a man standing on a bluff was yelling and cursing at us saying you better get moving otherwise Im leaving your a&&es here! We told him that the rapids are very bad and thats why it has taken us a while and this was a horrible experience. He replied good, we dont want people like you here. We were very confused because we didnt know who this man was or if he worked there or not. We finally got back to the stairs after a few more rapids we had to through. We saw the shuttle and the man who was yelling at us was driving. He said nothing to us and right when we got in the shuttle he put the gas peddle down angrily and drove recklessly. I was extremely uncomfortable at that point and didnt understand what we did wrong. We were nice and genuine to all of the staff and were respectful to the river. When we got back he told us we have to pay for the tube that we lost. (We lost the tube with the hole in it after my friend and I flipped off of ours). He said if we dont give him $40 for the tube hes not giving us our keys back. We said it popped and there was no carelessness involved in the loss of the tube. He then went in to talk to the manager. He came back out and said you dont have to pay for the tube but you are never allowed back here. I then spoke up and said what did we do wrong? He replied you took too long.We then tried to explain the rapids and how bad they were but he continued to throw the f-bomb at us saying get the f@&$ out of here and threw my friends keys at her.Yes, the rapids were terrifying and my friends and I have bruises all over our bodies, but Im more disappointed in the employees/ owners at this place and how they treated us. I never do these review things and Im pretty low maintaince. But I dont want anybody to have to experience what my friends and I had to here. :(
