Every time I visit a new city and Im driving through their neighborhoods, I make an effort to spot different cultural shops, stores or restaurants and this little Mexican Carniceria was quite surprising. I was expecting to find your typical taqueria in the back of the store, but I was excited to find that they also sold raspados!I was super excited because ever since I moved out of LA and to Atlanta, I have not been able to have a raspado in many years. It was really good and it reminded me of home, but I was a bit disappointed when they didnt have any vanilla flavor and had to get a half coco and half strawberry. They also provided the La Lechera brown drizzle instead of the original Carnation white condensed milk, but in all, it was good.Lastly, I did order a chicharron quesadilla, but the chicharron was a bit soft, instead of crispy, but overall it had a good flavor and it was huge! So I highly suggested come with an empty stomach.

Smh i paid 30 bucks for 3 pounds of barbcoa the res an when i got home it was not what i wanted an it had bones it an all kind of different meat. I know the guy understood what i wanted because I spoke spanish to him an he said ok. When i got home an opened it up it wasnt what i paid for smh. If you go please dont order any meat from the back .

Best tacos ive ever eaten! So good all the way from work during my lunch Just to eat them. They also have some of the freshest meats one could ask for. Very nice butchers and cashiers.Highly recommended.

OUT of all the things about this store for one it is way over priced as something simple as a cucumber. Second of all we got a Roastery Chicken from them (after a long day) only to get home & have a rotten chicken at our dinner table. We went back the next day and explained the situation. With let alone a very unsatisfactory response. They’re wasn’t an apology let alone a refund giving at all. Very disappointed. Don’t recommend employees are very rude as well.

I have been coming here for over 2 years now because This is the only supermarket where I can find the freshest meats, best prices and the nicest people. I have been to others in the Charleston area and can say none of them come close to the experience I have at the Esperanza. The employees are always friendly, the warm foods always exceed my expectations wether it’s tacos, quesadillas, their steaks or even if it’s their delicious fresh pork rings. Best I’ve ever had. Truly best cuts of meats that I know, I come here knowing the meats get freshly cut daily rather than a Walmart or food lion where I can’t see or know anything with the meat. They have beer and items that I can’t find anywhere else in common butcheries or stores in Charleston. This place has the best authentic Hispanic foods and products. I encourage you to go and see it for yourself.

Theres a reason prices arent marked on most items...Check the expiration dates while youre at it

At this store I went to the butcher and asked that they give me 2 pounds of cheese to start me off. The butchers hurry up and when I ordered my cheese from the butcher the remaining cheese fell out and so he put it back in the refrigerator I did not want to say anything but the truth is that I do not think it is anything hygienic because he put it in front of us like he dont care.
