Griffin and Dan just left my house. They installed a MASTER CLOSET for my husband and I - our closet really needed something special.... and these guys and company delivered! I love the design for the space, I feel the price was fair and feel I was treated very well. Closet looks amazing.... now to fill it! Worst decision we ever made was to hire this company. Every part of the job was done poorly. Workmanship and materials were terrible. Every piece is nicked or chipped, edges dont line up. They tried to hide and cover up chipped edges with calk. I could of taken a dozen more pictures, stay away.

Recommended. We approached two companies to refit our pantry, our master bedroom and a linen closet with purpose made closets and cabinets. The Closets by Design designer spent an entire morning with us with samples and a computer enabled design tool that allowed us to arrange the spaces to our liking. Allowing for supply chain delays, they called ahead to arrive on the schedule date with all components color coded to the spaces. Installation, to include removal of existing floor molding, went smoothly and they finished early. Now, everything is off the floor, in assigned spaces, and visible, with ample storage for everything. This definitely helped us make full use of the space available.

Love my new pantry designed and installed by ClosetsByDesign. Perfect use of space. Amazing accessories like pull out baskets, wine and spice storage, slanted can shelves, and drawers. Transformed from collapsing wire shelving to a new luxury pantry!! Highly recommended! Could not be happier.

My closets were just installed and Im delighted! Our installer, Miller, did a fantastic job and I cannot recommend him highly enough. All by himself he worked so hard and meticulously, competently and conscientiously installed both closets. He cleaned up and vacuumed everything when done. A truly exemplary employee. The closets are so lovely, I almost hate to fill them up. They fit the spaces beautifully, the drawers glide and the mouldings and toe kicks really set them off. The whole process from design through installation was uniformly excellent. We had a very large closet and adjoining laundry room project with an added element of complexity since we wanted the closet to extend to the top of a 10 ceiling. Our designer Melissa was very patient and took several hours with us to design both rooms before passing the design off to the installation team. Our two installers, Richard and Sean, were extraordinarily talented and able to make some essential modifications on the fly. No matter how much thought you put into your coset, when you actually get it installed and start using it, youll see some minor things that simply dont work the way you want. Richard is a true craftsman and was able to take our feedback and without complaint customize critical elements during his installation that made the closet much more usable. We upgraded our closets finish so it looks amazing and adds enormous value to the house. This is the third house where weve had to install custom closets, and this was by far the best experience and greatest value.

The consultant was great, the closets work well. My issue is with instantiation. The consultant assured me that the installers would modify the toe boards to allow the air register to get air into our closet, this was not done. The installer covered up the register. Then while removing the existing shelving, the installers destroyed the sheet rock where the old shelves supports were. I expected the holes in the back of the closet, these are smaller and mostly covered by clothes so we declined to put the backing on. What I was not expecting was the damage on the side walls that go past the shelving structure. To properly fix the area the sheet rock will have to be cut out, a patch put over the hole then mud and paint.When I contacted them about the issues they said they are not responsible for any damage. They did offer to come out and put mod over the holes and fix the toe board. However, they never showed up for the appointment.

The notification of install time should be communicated more than one week in advance since the install date was set three months prior.Also the panels for the closets should have more depth if possible. i would make the product much better and efficient.

We decided to use Closets by Design to upgrade our walk-in closet in the master bedroom, we reached out to three companies. Closets by design was very responsive to our needs and the Design person was very knowledgeable. The installation went well and it looks fabulous. We would recommend this company to anyone looking to upgrade their closet.

We had a great experience with Closets By Design! From consultation to installation, everything went just as planned. Diana consulted and designed, then a team of two installers, Dan and Ricky, completed the work. They always arrived on time, got straight to work, and cleaned the work area when finished. They were always polite and professional. We couldn’t be more pleased!

Do not use Closets by Design Charleston. Very poor quality and horrible response to correct the unfinished work. Missing drawers, incorrectly installed island that swayed. Missing components. Desk installed incorrectly. 5 separate visits over 6 weeks to correct the problems. Always a different crew on each revisit. Each crew did not have all of the parts nor did they know of the other items that needed to be corrected. Connor, Ken the install manager and Troy Brown the owner never really took responsibility for the mess. Subtlety suggesting I was part of the problem. Not sure how missing parts and poor construction was my problem -but of course it wasn’t- just the poor attitude of the company to a very poor job. We have had other closets installed so we are quite familiar with what to expect. Swaying storage islands, missing drawers, etc. are not the work of a good company. Use this company and you will be sorry.. I promise you.

Customer service is top notch. We received a phone call from their office with their eta and the guys are punctual and polite. They have all the parts and get right to work. No inconvenience to us at all. Definitely recommend!

A perfect experience! Stress free. From the moment we started planning until installation. I really liked how I was part of the planning process. Lori was our planner. She listened to what we thought we wanted and also made suggestions for practical ideas. CBD also moved mountains to install my walk-in closet as soon as possible. My closet had collapsed due to faulty install from our builder. I was in a mess. CBD made all my problems go away. In fact, it was such a great experience, I am now having CBD install cabinets in my garage and they are doing my reach in closets and an Office! I highly recommend CBD for a stress-free life!

First off let me say that(Jessica Nieper) my designer was professional polite and excellent to work with. . I ordered my closet on December 7th and was told in advance that it would be installed on the 28th. Long wait but It was worth it .I had a small issue and (Ken Strand) and his installer (Tyler) came back the following day and corrected it . Not only did they correct it but they threw in a little extra for the inconvenience. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future for a nursery room. Good product and excellent customer service!!!

Griffin did a great job and was very professional while installing our closet system but the salesperson measured incorrectly and they had to modify our closet design. Double check your measurements before you complete your purchase!

We worked with them on our master closet, laundry room, and a small nook area outside the master bedroom. Our designer Shannon was very professional, friendly, and eager to meet our design needs. We were able to get everything we were looking for and still stay roughly within our budget. There was one flaw in the design that was not caught until our installation day., In the master closet we added the crown mounding feature to close off the top to help with dust buildup. Once the rest of closet was installed it was realized that the air conditioning vent in the ceiling was in the way. We had to scrap the crown last minute, but they were quick to issue a refund for that item. Our installers Miller and Bradley were also very professional, friendly, and detail oriented. It was very easy to see that they took a lot of pride in their work and wanted to ensure we were pleased with the installation. If you are looking to add additional storage, and upgrade from the base materials the builders install, I would recommend reaching out to Closets By Design.

I used to hate doing laundry because I hated putting away the clothes, now it is almost fun. I love my closet with lots of drawers and different hanging spaces. The designer utilized space all the way to the ceiling and everything is adjustable and customizable. I could not be more happy and sometimes just walk into the closet to pinch myself! My closets look beautiful, best money ever spent!!! The two installers that came to my house were professional and so polite.

The design process was incredibly seamless - the install process however was not. My 2 day project took a week to get completed, and not because of any delays and/or mishaps on our end. That was pretty frustrating to deal with.I also think its a bit absurd to expect the customer to have to re-spackle & sand most of holes that are made when custom closets are being installed. For the 5 figures I paid for 4 closets & a drop zone to be installed, I would have expected to simply be able to just paint over those holes when the project was completed vs. having to re-spackle most, wait a day, sand down the spackle, then finally paint over the holes. Id recommend better quality control when it comes to that.Ultimately, Im satisfied with how the end product ended up - just dissatisfied when all of the work I had to do post install before I could actually put clothes back into each of the closets.

The company was very on top of our job from the time we signed the contract. We were notified each day of the time the installers (Jeffrey and Alex) were due to arrive and they arrived on time. Jeffrey and Alex were very respectful and reviewed everything they were doing before they started to work each day. They asked us if we had any questions and responded to each one. Used Closet by Design for our master bedroom in our new home. The designer Alicia was GREAT, her design was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Now when the installation day came the person installing did a terrible job, it did not look like the design, it was uneven, one side was 13” and the other 24”, he was asked to stop and fix it, he continued, left it like that and then said we had to call and speak to a manager. Which I did the same day, that was on the 23rd, kept getting the run around, that someone would call me back and it wasn’t until today (6 days later) after the 5th time I called that I was able to speak with someone for them to tell me that I had to pay an extra $120 if I wanted them to go fix it when they didn’t do the job right the first time around. The first manager I spoke with was Mike, literally the worst manager I have ever spoken to, he was rude, condescending and disrespectful. Asked to speak with his supervisor, was connected to Andrei, a little better but still kept wanting to charge me to come fix what the installer did wrong.Anyhow needless to say I WOULD NEVER recommend this company, use ANYOME BUT them.

The installers very courteous and installed our closets quickly and neatly. The only suggestion I will make to anyone interested in redoing their closets is to allow enough time. My wifes one request was to design a closet that did not lose her any hanging space. Unfortunately, we lost about 50% of our hanging space. Even though the representative assured me our hanging space would stay the same, if not be expanded, Closets by Designs retort was that I should have remeasured their design and compared the hanging space to my original closet. Wow. Product is well below what I was expecting also. Definitely dont pay for the upgraded design. I would hate to see what a non-upgraded closet looks like.And in response to Closet Designs response- I did call your office and the manager said that since I approved the design that it was just too bad that it didnt work out and that he considered this project closed. Am I supposed to remeasure your technicians work to double check the values? I assumed that when the closet builder tells me I will have more hanging space, I will have more hanging space. If I would have known that I would have had to measure and check the closet design myself, I would have used an online service. I thought I was paying a premium for quality and service, but now I just feel robbed. Very, very disappointing experience from start to finish, and the customer service failure to culminate my horrendous interaction with this company was the cherry on top- prompting me to write a review. The only thing worse than the experience could be the quality of the product. My closet that I paid thousands of dollars for looks like a home kit from Home Depot in a glorified college dorm. In hindsight, I could have gotten the same closet for 90% less at a big box store.

As part of a kitchen remodeling project, we asked Closets by Design to design and install cabinets & shelves in a new laundry room. Their representative, Connor, presented a creative design that optimized our space, an estimate and installation date. He even provided a dining area for our cats! The installers, Trent, Tony and Jeffrey, were very polite and capable making adjustments to ensure the fit was perfect. Our cabinets look sleek, modern and are very functional. We are more than pleased and will not hesitate to recommend the Closets by Design team to anyone wanting to have a room well organized.

Very pleased with my designer closet. Amazed with the capacity I’ve gained. Installers were great. Only complaint I have is the designer, Diane, in order to make the sale made promises she never followed through with. We met with Diane on a Saturday and let her know we were meeting with another company on a Monday. The earliest install date available she had available was out about 6 weeks. When we said we’d wait to see what the other company had to offer she called her office and was able to get an earlier date. The date was not good for us because we had company arriving that Friday and staying for the weekend. I didn’t want to have clothes laying all around, wait for the install to complete and then have to deal with putting them back in the closet. Diane said she had rolling racks she would bring over so I wouldn’t have to deal with moving the clothes until after my company left. I told her I would rather move to a different date and would see what the other company had available. She then offered to take our old racks down and said she had spackel and would bring that over and help spackel. Against my better judgement I ended up booking it. Sadly Diane did not follow up on her promises. No racks and no help taking old racks.

This group knows what they’re doing. They’re customer focused, prompt, great communication/scheduling and did a wonderful job from the first on site visit to final install. Tyler was the main installer on our job and he was fantastic. He was efficient, always on schedule and left the workspace perfectly clean and ready to go. Great job! We are thrilled with the outcome.

We moved into our home a couple of years ago, and we don’t have very good storage. Our home was built in the 70’s and all of the closets have a bar for hanging clothes and that’s it. Needless to say, they don’t function well. We decided to have CBD come out and walk us through the process of custom closets. Rebecca was AMAZING at explaining the design process!! She was personable, listened to all of my wants and needs and the installers made it come to life. We couldn’t be more happy with the finished product and look forward to have the rest of our closets done, this year. I wish I could give you guys 10 Stars!! Thank you again :)

Closets By Design completed our work on our new home. We had them do a pantry and master closet. They were very professional, workmanship was excellent and clean up of their job was exceptional. Ken was very courteous and polite.

My experience with closets by design was over the top. They just finished a buildout of an office complete with a Murphy bed and storage cabinets in the garage. Both build outs were done on time. I was so pleased with the projects that they are also doing a built in of a china closet and buffet in February. I worked with their designer, Robyn. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable and provided excellent advice on design options that I hadn’t considered. The communication from this company was unbelievable. I was kept informed of every step of the installation. I am really into customer service and I was pleased that I didn’t have to initiate any follow up calls to them. 5 stars to this company !

The office staff, designers (Conner and Cassie), and installers (Scott and Jeff) are all highly professional and proud of their work and product as they should be. We shopped around and considered three different companies. Closets by Design offered the densest wood product available of all of them. We HIGHLY recommend Closets by Design.

You will be in great hands with this company. I had an 8x13 closet that was a sad dumping ground for everything from Christmas decorations to a western show saddle. Now it is a joy to go into a beautiful, organized closet and see lots of hanging space, drawers, and shelves--with all the extra “stuff” hidden in a wall of large cabinets.My designer, Diane, did an amazing job creating solutions for my unique needs and went out of her way to address my concerns and guide me through the process all the way into installation.I also have to compliment my excellent installers, Ricky and Tyler.
