Leisure Depot on Dorchester Road in North Charleston is a great place to go for all things home and outdoor items. I really like their selection of hot tubs and furniture here. They make the process very easy to shop and get everything. The staff here is very knowledgeable and helpful.

I purchased an outdoor kitchen about 15 months ago. It included a grill and refrigerator.Upon delivery several times came off. After calling for a repair someone came out and re attached the times. Twelve months later several times came off. I called Sandy by dales person who promptly forwarded me to someone else. I was told that it was out of warranty and it was up to me to repair as I had not applied the proper finish on the tile.After several calls they agree to fix my tiles.The result is one tile still missing, grout on the refrigerator, on the stucco siding of the unit, a different grout color used and finally grout stains in a dozen spots on my Trex deck.We paid $10,000 for a unit that is ruined.Now I may need to replace decking not to mention the unit itself.What a terrible experience.Fred Morganthall

About a year ago I purchased an outdoor kitchen which Leisure Depot sub contracted to an installer. Within that year the tile started dropping off the counter. When contacted the response I got was that it was a problem for the installer. My response was I paid you (LD) not the installer. After a week of some back and forth, I finally spoke to who appeared to be the owner. My initial impression was that he was acting like l showed up as a disorderly back man…partially true. I did show up and I’m back. However, I was not disorderly. I was just frustrated having paid about 20k cash and getting no service after the sale. The person they sent out took about a week to reinstall the broken tile. Six months later the tile has fallen off again with others falling off or about to fall off. I will be heading back to the store as a non violent mad black man…I think 20k entitles me to that!!

Updating this review as we had a different installer come out to the house. He was very pleasant to work with and showed up on the first day he scheduled. So it seems the problem here lies with the single installer group, which is unfortunate. Overall, we are now satisfied that our pool is up and running. I will still leave off a star for the absolute headache this whole process was and the fact that we had to call and complain so many times to get anything done.We purchased a pool from here in March. The sales team is great. I was very impressed with the pool education and the time they have taken to walk us through everything we were being sold in the package. Unfortunately, working with their installers is a very terrible experience. We had a leak in the pool immediately after filling it. That’s fine, it happens. They came out to patch it. We then found two more holes and it became very obvious that it was just a poor liner. We spoke with leisure depot about the issues and they’ve issued us a new liner which is great. However it is now July and trying to get these installers out to the house is basically impossible. They make appointments with you and don’t show up. No call or explanation until you are the person to reach out to them yet again. I was told to drain my pool because they would be out on Saturday. It’s now the following Thursday and I still don’t have a date or an explanation on why my pool is not fixed. So I’m sitting on an 8k empty pool in the middle of summer that I drained right before a holiday weekend. I understand these people are not exactly employees of leisure depot but at this point I’m regretting this pool purchase all together.

I just bought our first pool. I am excited to pick it up and get it set up. Jeromy suggs is always very helpful. I also bought 4 chairs from leisure depot back in 2018 I still have them and love them.

Walked in not knowing much about hot tubs. The staff (Michael) was very knowledgeable and did a great job of educating us on the various products. I would highly recommend this place and the sales person we dealt with.

We went in to buy a pool today and with the wonderful help of Jeromy S. We were able to get more pool for the money. We thought we might not be able to even get a pool this season. Not only did we get the pool we wanted it was at least 1/2 the price. I had been looking online at web based pool stores thinking it would be cheaper. Nope! The installation crew came and dug the hole for our new above ground pool. They wanted to let the dirt settle. On the day they were to come back, it rained(not their fault). I was then told I was at the end of the list to complete my installation. June is the earliest they can come back. I dont think I should be put at the end of the list. Im now left with a hole in my back yard. I called Leisure Depot and was told it was between us and they offered no support except to try to give me names of other installers. Leisure Depot support after the sale is lacking. I doubt if I will do business with them or recommend them.

I was working on finalizing a purchase only to be told by another salesman that it would not work. Only to be emailed from the original salesman that it would work. Very confusing and frustrating to drive from Daniel Island to be jerked around. Backyard retreats in Mt Pleasant was a little more expensive but worth it for the customer service.

Great experience shopping here. They really know what theyre talking about and are not pushy at all. Would shop here again. Only concern is half the staff dont wear masks even when with costumers which is disappointing.

Went back to purchase furniture covers for our patio furniture that we purchased last year for our brand new built home and received the same great service. Bought a Sundance spa from Leisure Depot in February. Our salesperson (Jen) provided regular updates as to its shipping status from California and promptly assisted us with arranging for its installation once it arrived to make sure it would be available for planned out-of-town guests. The Sundance Edison model is a good choice for two to four person use. There are numerous jet and flow combinations that can be combined to meet the needs of almost anyone. Would recommend this product and store to anyone in the market for a hot tub.When arranging electrical service to this spa, keep in mind that it can be run on 40, 50, or 60 amp service (220v) and that 60 amp service is required for the heater and secondary jets to function simultaneously.

Anthony was great at getting our Swim Spa ordered and installed. Highly recommend you work with their recommended contractors. Josh and Jeff were exceptional at concrete and electricity! Ed Parker Rigging had to bring a 100 ton crane to lift it 120 feet over our house to the back porch. The neighborhood loved the show! Follow-up has been great and we couldnt be more pleased.

Well where to start, the sales team was great. Service after the sale is just plain terrible. Had our pool Installed by their QUALIFIED Installer. What a joke, first the installation is still incomplete due to a warranty issue with the manufacturer, second they improperly installed the first liner, leaked like a sieve, when they came back to install the new liner, they messed up the base sand, and now the pool if full with ruts in the sand under the liner making it difficult to vaccum. Third, the installer replaced the leaking filter hoses, used the wrong sized clamps and cut the hoses which are now leaking and will need to be replaced. For a professional install team they did a very poor job. Do not recomend using Leisure Depot as their installers do a poor job and Calls to Leisure Depot you get basically told not our issue, call the installer. Also one of the install team was totally rude to my wife. Unfortunately the install team who are contractors reflect poorly on Leisure Depot, thus my poor rating. Leisure depot needs to take responsibility for its contractors.

What a fantastic store! They have an amazing selection of outdoor furniture and accessories. It would be hard to leave without purchasing something! Weve bought patio furniture and pillows, all of which were great quality, super-comfortable and are lasting well (3 years later). Today we went for additional pillows and werent disappointed. Howie and Katherine couldnt have been more helpful or welcoming and made a great shopping experience even better. Im looking forward to another visit when I need more goods!

I bought a hot tub and a radiant pool in 2016. The hot tub didnt last 2 years. I was told I had a 10 year warranty on my pool liner. Of course they no longer sell radiant pools so they sent me to another company that would not even talk to me. I called leisure back and they informed me my liner wasnt under warranty because it was a chemical issue. They decided this without even looking at it. My liner was not under warranty is what they said. That was not what they told me when I spent $40,000.00 with them. I am contacting my attorney asap! They do not warrant anything they sell. If I could give them a minus on satisfaction I would. I asked for the manager and they wouldnt let me talk to that person either. Waste of money on anything you buy from them.

DO NOT BUY AN ABOVE GROUND POOL FROM HERE!!! My family recently purchased a pool from this less than desirable establishment a few weeks ago. At first everything was fine and once they got their money the nightmare set in. The certified installer that they had reach out to us asked me to mark where I would like the pool. I made clear markings around the exterior with not only paint but stakes and line. I was unable to stay home and supervise this process so I asked CJ (certified installer) to give me a call if he ran into any issues. We had my mother-in-law let the install team into our back yard the next morning. CJ states to her that they are going to move the pool as they cant put the pool where I had laid out and proceeds to put it where he wants it. I came home on my lunch break to see how the process is going and seeing they did not put my pool where I wanted. When questioning CJ he stated it was too close to a tree root system. I then stated that I was not worried about the tree roots and I wanted it moved to where I asked. CJ then stated that where the pool is is where its staying. His team puts the pool up and starts filling it while I was finishing my day at work. The pool never got moved causing more issues with the pump install. To not slow up the process, I set my placement issue aside and had Leisure Depots pump installer come out and install the pump. Again, Not being able to be home at the time of the install, I waited to return home to see the final project. I came home to a electrical pump mounted on a plastic sheet and said pump leaking! After seeing this I was beyond mad. The next day I called and spoke to Anna in their customer service department. I dont know how this person keeps a job. She was less than helpful with my issues stating that they are not responsible for the Sub Contractors install even though they are the company that arranged the entire process! I have asked her to email me CJs business name which I still have yet to receive. Also, she stated that she would have the owner call me which has yet to happen. Do not Accept any customer service from this company after they get paid. They are incapable of such demands. READ OTHER REVIEWS ON GOOGLE, BBB, ECT. I am not the only customer having these issues. This companies owner should be ashamed of how their team treats customers.

He took the time to show us many different options throughout the store and provided a great solution when I wanted to add a fire-pit table from a different set by showing us how he could get it ordered in the darker wood comparable to the color/grain of the set we were about to purchase. Delivery was great.

We wanted to get a larger pool. I called and talked to Luke in pool sales. He spent a long time on the phone educating me on the technical details of the equipment I wanted in the new pool. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. The next day my wife and I visited the store and were met by Luke. He showed us all the equipment we discussed and educated me on how it worked. We bought the pool we wanted and Luke put together a custom package to fit our requirements and time frame. He also was able to discuss the install with the install contractor and answered my specific questions about the custom install needs. We were very impress with the service, knowledge, and attention. This is our second major purchase from Leisure Depot and I highly recommend them.

I visited a couple of places attempting to find out how to convert my standard Coleman pool pump to a sand filter pump. Spent almost 6 hours in time and gas trying to track down the correct part needed. The other pool establishments could not provide me with adequate answers to my question or point me in the right direction to solve my issue. I walked into Leisure Depot where everyone I spoke with was super nice. They directed me to speak with Bob in the pool section. He answers my question and provided me with the correct part needed within 2 minutes. I highly recommend Leisure Depot Ashley PHOSPHATE.

I brought back an item that was not functioning correctly and to my surprise they replaced it without any pushback. They were pleasant from the moment I called to the replacement at the service desk. Although the sales staff seems very knowledgeable when it comes to hottubs the montra here is high pressure better buy it now tactics. While dwindling stock and long shipment dates maybe the case for them there are plenty of others out there with inventory. I was able to find more than a couple locations that either had hottubs on hand or had shipments arriving within weeks and actually ended up purchasing from discounthottubcharleston who had several ready to go home that day. I suggest you do your research with sites like hottubuniversity and consumer affairs for honest information and dont let yourself be rushed into making an unnecessary decision.

Went to this store to buy a big green egg. Luke was there too “help” us, but had a terrible attitude and did not seemed interested in selling his product. Highly recommend going to Coastal Cupboard in Mount Pleasant, much more knowledgeable and much cheaper!

Howie was awesome to talk with and very helpful.. We took delivery of our first tub ever and upon delivery had issues with lights, then couple days later losing water and took pictures and videos under tub, tech came out tighten some things up then speakers went out.. Well being brand new this was all unfortunate issues and we were completely unhappy with it.. But leisure depot staff came through with their customer service.. Went back into store and picked out a different brand as I did not want to repeat the issue again. They picked it up and took it back on return which is technically against their exchange/return policy. Since getting new one we had zero problems and was a smooth delivery and setup.. This is what I expected taking delivery of the first tub. We have had the tub hooked up and functioning for 5 weeks now and has been great.. Since they do stick to their word about making things right they get an A+ in customer satisfaction.. Anna was helpful as well with new tub questions and concerns and assisted with them as best as she could which was great!! Victor, the gm was easy to work with as well with this hot tub switch out and very understanding as wellSide note--- buy a green egg you wont regret it! bought one of those couple of weeks ago and cant stop smoking food on it.. Back yard setup is coming along..

This place is top notch! My wife Carolyn and I wanted some new furniture for our screen porch so we decided to stop by. We spent some (hassle free) time looking at product outside prior to entering the building. That is when we met Howie Appelt. He was extremely knowledgeable about every furniture set that we looked at. After selecting a particular love seat, 2 chair with a table set, Howie informed us that the set did include the cushions and the 2 throw pillows. Wow! game changer! However, Carolyn was not enthralled with the throw pillows so Howie told her to pick ANY 2 from the floor that she wanted! Really? Who does that? He was determined to close the deal and did so by cutting a few more bucks off of the price. He came close to selling us a hot tub too!

My husband and I came to Leisure Depot today and let me be honest I really didn’t want to do anything but look. And I’m in sales so I’m not always an easy sale, but after coming in today and speaking to Luke he put my mind at ease. If I could give 0 stars I would. None of the employees seemed to want to help us the first day we arrived. Then a sales person made a very inappropriate joke as we were purchasing our pool. We were mislead by the same salesman that someone would come out for free to install our hard plumbing on the M series pool, later to find out that we were charged for it. We asked for all of the plumbing parts so that we can install it ourselves and Stacy said we could be refunded. We went back to the store for the parts and refund but Anna tried to give us store credit instead of a refund until I told her that I had been refunded previously. After we receive our refund we will NEVER give this company our money again. I advise no one else too either.

If I could give them negative stars I would. None of the furniture I bought could be put together. None of the predrilled holes lined up. I had to drive the furniture back to Charleston from Columbia and exchange it.I also bought 2 sets of Adirondack chairs with the tables and was told the tables “just slide right on”.No instructions no predrilled holes.I am so displeased with their products. I wish I had never gone into their store.

I have a family of 6 and we finally made the decision to get our first hot tub. All our research lead us to Leisure Depot. We were very happy with our decision. Luke was our sales rep. and he walked us through the process and educated us on all pros and cons. We bought a Hot Springs and hope to be in it SOON!! Im not going to lie I was a little sceptical about coming in here due to the price. BUT within minutes of stepping in the store Jeremy greeted us as if we were old friends. He was super knowledgeable with the products, wasnt the typical pushy salesmen but respected as customers and easy to work with. We came in here to pick out patio furniture since we just moved into our new home this past October. After looking at places like Lowes, Big Lots and At Home Goods, we were discouraged we wouldnt find anything until we looked up different places that sold the patio furniture so we thought wed give it a try. Long story short we left Leisure Depot with furniture to fill our patio and in our price range!!! Not only did we find one that would fit a small space patio but at a price that beat out the three stores I mentioned before!!! We were so excited we were able stay in budget by going during their end of year sale during the Christmas season. It was like a Christmas present to us! On top of that since we are a military family they hooked us up with three free pillows!! I found that quite nice of them doing that for us when they didnt have to. Thank you Leisure Depot for helping us find exactly what we needed!! And thank you Jeremy for being an awesome salesmen!!
