First time Ive been in nearly a year, I was the only non-employee. Very quiet and pleasant! The employees were all very nice as well, and working diligently restocking shelves.

Great buys on some items... some poor quality mixed in. Be careful. Best to read actual customer reviews of individual products on their website before buying... particularly with power tools. I own several... some are good and some not.

Today was a great day at Harbor Freight on Dorchester. We had three separate associates check on us to offer assistance. The actual manager came and offered some guidance on the most appropriate nail gun to purchase.Store was bright, organized and staff incredibly helpful.

It can be hit or miss with Harbor Freight tools and other items when it comes to quality but this year something crazy happened that made me change my mind. I would give this store a great review but what there doing is awful to all the loyal customers. The stars in the review represent the corporate guys taking away the 20% & 25% off coupons for good and now its just another $1 dollar store quality tool place......Thanks REH

This place has the best prices for tools in town. The problem is they are always super busy. Subsequently, they are almost always out of stock. The associates are friendly but but always have way too much to do. There really should be a 2nd Harbor Freight in the area.

This is the first time I have gone into a Harbor Freight. The prices are good and the selection is very good. I will try my new purchases to see the quality

No longer features the free item with purchase, but this is a great place for batteries, flashlights, solar panels, tools and more. They have automotive stuff, welding stuff, outdoor lighting stuff, etc. You can stock the garage with this place and you should go by here every weekend. And on Wednesdays. Get me something when you visit... Did i mention they have tools? Greenhouses? Car ports? Home security cameras. It just goes on and on.

Harbor Freight Tools on Dorchester Road in North Charleston is a great place to go for all things tools and parts. They have an excellent selection of items available at good values. I have been able to find exactly what I was looking for each time I have been here and have been happy with my purchases. They have good customer service here.

Good variety of brand name tools at good prices, so that there is a good choice for everyone. Nice, helpful staff also!

The help in the store is top notch. The product is description is not. The website said one thing, while the physical product is different.

Theyve reorganized the store. Its much less congested and it looks cleaner. The Covid barrier boxes at the registers can be revamped...its time! Theyre sunken in because theyre used to hold everyones purchase. They could have taken some 2×4s and some plywood to create distance by now. They have the tools! The cashiers are always very friendly. Of course I love the prices...for a beginning woodworker.

Over the years, one can accumulate an arsenal of tools to handle any size job, big or small. Harbor Freight makes that process a little bit easier, with coupons and fair prices. This is usually my first choice for buying tools, not cause of price, but more due to selection. When they dont have it, I usually panic. When its a tool I need immediately, I dont want to have to use Ebay. Associates are pleasant and do their best to manage the long lines. Wait time is to be expected. Be patient, we all have chores to do.

For a diy mechanic, they have tools that are decently made and priced fairly reasonable. Bought 170amp mig welder, welding shield, extra MIG wire, and a dual piston low profile rapid pump 3 ton floor jack and a year membership in their buyers club all for $400

Small but robust in inventory. Easy layout makes shopping quick. Well, not really quick, its a tool store and youre kidding yourself if you think youre not going to go down every isle and question whether or not you actually need those needle nose pliers with the 8 inch long snout, angled end, and an ergonomic handle that makes needle nosing things effortless.Snack selection sub par.

Had to ask for the stuff but they were helpful and got me what I needed.

So I had been looking all over for a 6ft ladder. Found one inside harbor freight and it was the only one out. Waited in line patiently just to be told that It couldnt be sold to me because its a model. Its not my job to stock the store, its my job to find what I need and purchase. I felt as if I was denied a purchase because some one failed to keep the floor stocked. Wont be spending my hard earned money here any more.

So Im not sure what happened to this place. Used to be everyone was friendly. Now you have to ask for help and when you do. Noone really gives a flip.... I did meet one person that tried to help after asking 3 others.

Very friendly staff and willing to help you at all times. Generally the store is having less items I used to use, and more of things that I just dont need. Theyve completely revamped the store and it is now very confusing to go in and try and find something. The selections on the prices on their supposed higher quality electric tools are getting very close to the professional models like Milwaukee and DeWalt that are a lot more dependable. Ill keep shopping here though because it is convenient and the prices are okay.

Place is amazing staff was amazing. I forgot my email and they still gave me 20%off all my stuff. I have been going here since the store opened and have never been let down. NOTE: Industrial tool boxes are just the same as any other major(overpriced) brand. I have personally tossed them off a fork truck and had no issues.

Employees are so nice and they are willing to show you where things are located.

It has been remodeled. It is still the place to go to get off brand cheaper tools. I have had excellent results from most products that I bought there. 2 refunded products in about 15 years.

They changed the layout which makes me spend more time there.

!@#king horrible!!! Where do I begin. Most of the staff have a big chip on their shoulders. I walked around looking for someone working the floor and there was no one to be found. Told the cashier I needed help and he had an attitude. Waited about 10 minutes and walked around again. Told the kid again he rolled his eyes.Finallt got some help, the individual that help at least was customer service oriented. Went to check out and the other cashier also had a chip on her shoulder.I recommend Liwes or Hone Depot, at least they have more respect and the climate is more positive.

Cashier was extremely nice!!! 2 staff members in the store while I was shopping asked me if I needed help finding anything, which is always a plus! Although the store square footage is smaller than expected, they had a good amount of inventory and some really good deals.

HFT has been the savior for many folks looking for less expensive options to Snap-on or Craftsman, etc. They sell a plethora of different types of tools and items people need, either for home or work, or both! There are manual and power tools for woodworking, automotive, landscaping, and much more, as well as paint supplies (they do not sell paint at this particular store & not sure if they do at other locales)

Very unprofessional. The store was supposed to open at 8am. It’s 9am and customers are standing outside because the opening manager is not on time.

Always a good selection and inventory. Store is clean and well organized. I usually go for basic things like zip ties, magnets, tarps so I can’t really speak to quality of tools.

Great deals on tools. Hand tools are good but the electric tools don’t last too long.

All in all if youre looking to save money and you dont plan to use your tool out in the construction field maybe just around the house or rip small projects. Id recommend Harbor Freight Tool they have really come together with some nice battery power tools as well as welders also just a regular drill bits painting stuff cheap tarps I would definitely go here before I go anywhere else. Definitely sign up because they have a lot more stuff in the catalog

Staff was awesome. Prices and selection were awesome. Store layout was very confusing and the checkout line was chaotic and crowded. But most importantly, I walked out with pretty much everything I needed for a very good price and suprisingly good quality.

People obviously hate their jobs and their lives who work here. No refund on Inside track membership even though I bought it yesterday evening and have not used it. As a former technician, I learned the value, in certain places, for having good quality tools. With that being said, when it comes down to just needing a tool to get the job done, nobodys going to know whether it says snap on or not when the job is finished. Whatever help gets the work complete, thats what Im going to use. And harbor freight tools are great for that purpose. The staff was very helpful in finding anything that I needed help locating. Dont always have what you need and they sometimes break, but you get what you pay for. Normally their tools and such are not bad. Shop here plenty cause of the cheap prices. They really should carry more of actual tools though. A larger selection would bring in more business

Mostly quality tools for low prices. Im here all throughout the year. Have very easily exchanged a faulty tool or two with no questions asked. Theyll even open a pack or screwdrivers to give you the one you need. Great warranty on the Pittsburgh line and Ive been very pleased with the durability and performance of all their tools that Ive purchased.
