Had an Akropovic full exhaust system installed on my 21 Ninja 1000sx. I really appreciated Justins knowledge and passion for the work done on the bike. Justin and his staff were great to work with and took the time to discuss the work being done (Justin knows his craft!). Wont go anywhere else for service....

The man says he can look at the bike after I describe the issue he tells me to bring it in.i tell him I have to get it towed.which I wasted a tow truck on... Then he tell me after I call 4 days later(I called the 1st and 2nd day he hadnt even looked at the bike) that the key didnt want to open the gas cap.and he couldnt see if there was fuel in there.my question was WHY DIDNT I GET CALLED AND WHY DID I HAVE TO CALL YOU?.then while I was talking he cut me off to say you gonna have to get the bike picked up take it somewhere else..a week wasted.

Justin was the mechanic we interacted with after an unfortunate accident right at 5:30 on a Friday night. I was buying a motorcycle after travelling from out of town, and was hit in an accident. During a stressful time with a wrecked bike, Justin stayed open late, postponing his weekend on a Friday night, to help me out. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I left the bike with him to potentially get repairs. Unfortunately, the damages were assessed as a total loss, and I didnt get to use Justins services to their full capacity. However, he kept me posted at every step along the way and had amazing customer service, offering knowledge and advice . If I very need an honest and hard-working mechanic in Charleston again, itll be Justin at DOY Motorsports.

Justin and the guys there delivered what they said they would... I told them Im very happy with the very difficult job they did repairing my broken timing gear in the rear jug on my Yamaha 1100 Classic... I let them know the job was done well only after I put over 1500 miles on it shortly after I picked it up... Taking my wifes bike to have it repaired also... Would and will recommend them to all my bike riding friends.

DIY has always been accommodating to my time and schedule needs. They always provide a firm quote that has been very reasonable and fair. They stand behind their work and honor the services they provide. With their high performance background, they have a totally different prospective in regard to service than most shops that want to plug in a computer and see what the software tells them to fix.DIY uses their head and vast experiences to trouble shoot complex issues.

I did my fair share of research before I took my bike to just any shop. I dont ride a Harley so there so many stickler shops that suck their teeth at anything but. So I looked for one that was more on the kawi Honda and of course for me the Yamaha side. DIY stood out to me amongst the rest. I called in I talked to Justin. Man oh man does DIY have a good one there. That dude knows his stuff. I mean his passion alone gives you a sense of ok let me take my bike here. He was very friendly and knowledgeable on every level. Also they were straight forward. They were backed up like most shops and he told me that it might be 2 weeks before he can even look at it. But he needed the bike there so when he had the time he could just dive right in. He didnt beat around the bush and say yeah man bring it up and Ill take a look and then 2 weeks later say oh man Im just now getting to it. He said what it would be it thats what it was. I was ashamed of my bike because Im the guy that broke something and then put it on athe back burner and then the outside elements got to her for a year. I drive 1986 1100 Yamaha Virago. She was in pretty rough shape. When I brought my bike thinking it was the worst of the worst Justin made me feel like that was nothing. What he has seen and fixed is beyond me. He said my bike was in great shape and he had seen 400x worse. That was a sigh of relief. Needless to say Im riding my bike again after some gnarly welding, a full carb rebuild, fuel system flush, handle bar and control switch and of course basics all for $100 under what I had originally anticipated. I paid my bill and took her for a ride and in the 7 years Ive owned my bike....it has NEVER rode this great. Im the happiest camper out there. I recommend DIY Motorsports to anybody. I will be going back for regular maintenance as well as my future bikes. I am now a loyal DIY customer.

TERRIBLE. THE WORST EVER. SEAN IS RUDE AND VERY DISRESPECTFUL. JUSTIN IS A GOOD MECHANIC, HONEST AND HE HAS GREATEST INTENTIONS, HOWEVER,I CAN SAY COMPLETELY THE OPPOSITE FOR SEAN (THE OWNER) . I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY. SEAN CHARGES FOR PARTS THAT HE DOESNT EVEN INSTALL. I CHECKED MY PARTS RECEIPT. SEAN CHARGED ME 24.3%SALES TAX. ISNT THAT ILLEGAL, OR JUST IMMORAL ????I JUST READ SEANS RESPONSE. I HAVE RAN THROUGH 4 TANKS OF GAS. NO PROBLEMS WITH THE WAY THE BIKE RUNS. JUSTIN DID A FANTASTIC JOB. I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH OIL LEAKS THAT I PAID TO HAVE FIXED. I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE BIKE NOT STARTING. THE BATTERY IS NEW AND JUSTIN REPLACED THE STARTER BRUSHES. SEAN ADMITS TO OVERCHARGING FOR TAXES ON PARTS. I HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED A CALL FROM HIM OFFERING A REFUND ON OVER TAXES. SEAN WILL NOT WARRANTY DIY WORK.BY THE WAY THE WORK THAT I DID ON MY BIKE, I INSTALLED A LICENSE PLATE.I PAID OVER $1700 TO DIY MOTORSPORTS FOR REPAIRS. I GOT A BIKE WITH OIL LEAKS AND DOESNT WANT TO TURN OVER.IF YOU TAKE A BIKE TO THIS SHOP HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, CALL YOUR BIKE A BASKET CASE AS TO NOT HAVE TO WARRANTY WORK AND OVERCHARGE YOU ON TAXES.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.DID I FORGET TO MENTION THAT HE HAS A TYPICAL LITTLE MAN COMPLEX. HE CUSSED ME OUT BEHIND MY BACK DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF MY FIANCE. WHEN HE REALIZED THAT SHE HEARD HIM HE TURNED AWAY LIKE A TYPICAL LITTLE MAN THEN HE LIED ABOUT CUSSING IN FRONT OF HERTYPICAL LITTLE MAN COMPLEX.
