Absolutely horrible customer service!! Manager Jeff lets Ryan talk to you anyway he wants and defense him even with proof!! Lied to as a customer and condition of a furniture when you ask for repairs to be done you get blamed for the damage even though piece was used when you got it!

So I am now done with my Rent-A-Center contract, but not happily. I called the store at 525 Pine Island Road in North Fort Myers on July 3, spoke to Dale and explained I was short on funds this month because of COVID shutting down the business I am involved with. At that time, I asked how much the buyout for the contract would be and was told $241.36. I indicated it might be a week or two before I could raise it and was told that would not be a problem. I finally found someone to loan me the money and called last Wednesday to pay off the contract and was told $289.96 because the figure quoted me did not include sales tax + insurance + late fees, none of which was told me on the first call when I asked for the TOTAL. I called corporate and filed a complaint and was told the district manager would contact me within two days. Two day later, having not heard anything, I called again and was promised I would be contacted within the hour. This morning I called and finally got someone who said they would try to help me and put me on hold. The call was disconnected. So I called back. (Bear in mind every time I called was a minimum 30-60 minute wait for customer service -- apparently I am not alone.) This time I was told there was nothing corporate could do and was connected to Dale at the store again, who told me the total had now gone up to $301.08. I spoke to store manager Jeff, who said my record with the store was so bad they would not do me any favors (I have been late a number of times due to my circumstances, but always paid the late fee without argument when I did). I gave up fighting for my rights and paid.I feel my rights were abused. When someone quotes you a price they should hold to that price, or at least tell you if it does not include taxes or late fees or any other charges (I was not told this). Is it wrong of me to cry foul on this situation? I dont think so. Dont use Rent-A-Center unless you enjoy being harassed, lied to, and cheated. As for me, Im off to the Better Business Bureau!

I only say three because they only had two TVs in the store very huge 75 in now we thought that the Cove in waiting on shipments everything backed up another time Id give him five stars its always clean their always friendly their helpful they go out of their way to look things up to find the info if they dont have it and Ive gotten several products beginning to end and ring that Bell I do it again
Not sure why there are so many negative reviews here. I have never had any problems with the store. The customer service is great, they greet you by name when you come in to pay your bill, and they take the time to get to know you. The quality of the products are good, and if they arent up to your standards they are been willing to work with you on the price or take the product back with no questions asked. The delivery/install team is always on time, fast, and super courteous. This is a great way to get the things you need/want if you are not in a permanent living situation or you dont have the means to buy things outright, but know that you have steady income.P.S. Andrew and Angela are especially good. :)

Been a customer for about 6 years love these guys Jeff is an awesome manager. Set up crew is nice and courteous,never had an issue and they were very understanding about payments after hurricane Irma helped me out a lot. Thanks guys Oh and if you want nice things and cant afford big money out of pocket like me, making payments are nice.
Got a dryer. The first ones heating element went within a month. I called, took them 5 days to come out and tell me they cant remove it. I fix the problem, took them another 2 weeks. Then they give me a loaner for over a month and when I get my dryer back, it works for a week. Now, after Ive been trying for 3 months to get a new one, this one doesnt spin. Cant get a hold of the regional director or district director.
The manager likes to spout gossip an dish dirt wont be shopping there for my home

Worst experience of my life. Terrible staff. Someone broke into my house and stole a bunch of my things including items of thiers. I was upfront and willing to even pay it back still. Then all the sudden I get calls from the manager here accusing me of being a pimp. Like legit pimp. Saying I sold women like I was running a brothal. Callled corporate office and they never got back to me about his conduct but I was left alone.
They all have problems and I know they do drugs when my stuff was dropped off all I could smell was weed and than found a pill in my drive way. Scum bags oh yeah cant for get about the bed bugs

Horrible customer service. Save yourself a headache and go to Aarons. The so called Manager has no type of knowledge of the regulations from Rent A Center. And the women that works in the front has no type of customer service.
