We had pool and cage installed late in 2016, our cage is the only one standing in our neighborhood. It is very solid and very happy with the construction. I have a minor screen repair needed, I am waiting for the repair to be made. I am also still waiting on my roof to be replaced so in the big picture I understand how busy everyone is and will be understanding and have patience. I would recommend Upright.
The service is was phenomenal!
This company installed our cage when we added a pool in 2013. After Irma, we needed all of the screens replaced. I called early October and was told that we would be put on a list and it would be at least 5 weeks. I said that would be fine. A few weeks later, I emailed and called just to be sure that we were in fact on a list. A week later I received an email confirming that we were on a list. Sever weeks later, a man shows up at our doorstep (unannounced) saying he was there to measure the screens. Yay. He measures and said that he would take this info back to the office and we would have a quote within a few days. 10 days goes by and I call to inquire as to the quote. Spoke with Vanessa who said that she would talk to the installer and get right back to me. 3 days later, I call again and she doesnt seem to know why Im calling. I explain again that we have not received a quote and she says that she will get right back to me. Next day she calls and gives me the quote which is very high, but I ask her what next? She tells me that once I sign off on the quote, they will put me on a list. I ask her to email me the quote and she takes down my email address and says that she will get it right over. That was almost two weeks ago. Needless to say, we are not using this company to install our screens. I realize that screening companies are busy, but this is ridiculous!Diane Kuntz
Great partner to work with innovative design!
Our screen enclosure was installed by Upright Aluminum when our Toll Brothers house was constructed in July 2014. Less than two years later some of the screens were already loose and this was PRIOR to Hurricane Irma. After Irma, our reinforced cage still stood but one support beam came loose and the screens that were gaping open prior to the storm are now completely wide open in multiple areas throughout our pool cage. As other reviewers stated, we were put on that infamous Waiting List and now, six months later and following MULTIPLE requests for service as well as countless empty promises by Upright, we continue to be completely ignored. Okay, we get it...following the hurricane they were likely slammed. However, at this point, the lack of communication is completely unacceptable. We have no doubt that if you would like to construct a brand new pool cage theyll be beating down your door but if, like us, youve already been a customer who needs warranty repairs (again, prior to Irma) you may as well hire someone else to do it. We will never recommend this business to anyone. If anything, all I can advise is to just stay away and research other companies because honestly, customer service at Upright is seriously non-existent and warranty claims will NEVER be addressed.
We installed an Upright Aluminum ClearView structure through our pool construction company, Nassau Pools Construction, which was completed Nov. 2016. Our pool cage completely collapsed during Irma, Sep. 2017, while other non-Upright Aluminum cages in our development only had minor structural or screen damage.Despite repeated requests, Upright made no attempt to remove the fallen cage and quoted over double the original cage price to replace it, with nearly a year lead time for re-installation. TPI, in contrast, removed the fallen Upright Aluminum cage within one week at a nominal fee. The new TPI cage installation lead time was only three months. We are pleased with GL Homes recommendation of TPI for our new pool cage and the TPI over-engineered design is superior to Upright Aluminum’s.7-inch bolts replace Upright’s short screws; 9-post structures replace Upright’s 4-posts; cross beams mounted across the entire upper cage perimeter vs. zero cross beams from Upright. Upright’s rebar/concrete filled post design could not hold up to Irma’s winds, yet the vast majority of TPI cages at RiverStone withstood the test.No wonder that it only took 2-days for two Upright Aluminum construction personnel to assemble their poor cage design, compared to 7-days for six TPI workers. We learned a valuable lesson and offer this review to others who may be considering a pool cage company.
Excellent customer service
