Beautiful place, super clean and organize.Its so easy to find what you are looking for, because the products are well placed. Customer service was okay, respectful and helpful. Parking space is big so you dont have to worry about it, handicap doors are available, etc....

I go to get this spice that I like and I always find other things as well. Today I found low sodium foods that other stores dont have.

This is a staple store in the community of North haven! They have so many selections of great brands its refreshing in these difficult times

I hadn’t been by Big Y in a while for various reasons. I stopped by this morning to pick up my daughter’s birthday cake. They have the best bakery! :)And it was truly such a lovely experience! The doors were wide open with a beautiful patio set on display with the brightest, adorable cushions. Talk about bringing a smile to your face! :)The store has been remodeled- and the bakery area is wide open now with new display cases. The staff were all busy stocking and filling up cases/ shelves throughout the store. The floor was so clean- you could eat off of it. :)The new self checkout counters are so clean and clearly wiped down often. The entire store had a beautiful and clean vibe. The parking lot was so clean. I did not need a shopping cart and so did not pay attention as previously that was my one gripe- the carts area would be quite messy.The staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone looked so happy to be there. This always makes me feel good as well. And nowadays it is a treat to walk into a store and feel that way!The bell has been removed for Covid most likely but had it been there- I would have rung it many times.I wanted to seek out the manager to compliment him/ her because of how I felt entering and leaving the store! Beautifully done! Thank you for all your hard work- it shows.

Biggest sushi collection Ive seen at a Big Y while the store is kind of small comparatively. About the same selection of gluten free items as the one on North Haven. Not the nicest floral department. About 10 minutes from Gaylord hospital so it was close enough to kill some time while the patient was in therapy. Id shop here if I lived close by, but Id get cheaper basics at Aldi. Nice produce section, but a bit pricey.

Great Store, Everything is delicious that is made in store kitchen. Best menu. Prices right.Bakery second to none. Cakes,rolls and breads are supurb.The Cafe is a great way to start off your day with a fresh brew of Green Mountain coffee and a fresh pastry or muffin.Try it! Youll like it!

Young man welcomed us as we entered and even cleaned my cart for me. Vegetables and fruits section clean and appealing. The personnel that we came across were pleasant and helpful. Thank you for such a clean and positive atmosphere!

I love shopping at Big Y in North Haven. Its the most friendliest of all Grocery stores. We use to shop here all the time but it seemed that the prices were not as good as they seemed. I myself would still go there because I feel good friendly service is worth more than anything. But I dont do the shopping in the house.

I have been going to Big Y for many years now and have got to say all of the staff go above and beyond but, I have seen John (the janitor) on many occasions and he has dropped what he was doing just to help me out. Also when ever I have used the restroom it was very well kept. Every time I leave I make sure to ring the bell on my way out.

This store is very clean and well organized. It also has a variety of items to choose from. It can be a bit pricey, but I stick to sale items and I like a lot of the Big Y products as well. Also a nice little restaurant inside and you can bring one of their pizzas home!

They charge for paper bags, which are not taxable per the state law. Despicable! A response from Big Y basically says that Big Y feels it is their responsibility to decrease the carbon footprint of the world and therefore are penalizing patrons for not using reusable bags by charging $.10/paper bag. I strongly feel that this is a spin job to justify the charge. Who are you to penalize patrons? Secondly, if that is the true goal( doubtful that big y really cares on a corporate level) then i question the safety of encouraging people to bring reused bags into the store. With the current pandemic reusable bags may carry active viruses into the store. So not only does this policy penalize patrons it may also put patrons health in jeopardy.

I am truly enjoying going to the supermarket which is something I didnt think I would over the past few months because the people inside these establishments treat customers not just myself very well theyre nice the courteous and some of them like Ive been experiencing lately go out of their way to not only tell me where items are but take me directly to them and its just so appreciated when people are nice and kind they make you nice and kind and I love it when people can put a smile on my face and I can keep that smile because it makes my day and they made my day and at Big Y this was my first time and this store ever this store is located in North Haven Im Washington Avenue and I was so pleased that once I was cashed out I stood in front of the store and I said excuse me everyone but I love this store and the people that work in here they are the greatest and little did I suspect a lot of customers actually clapped and said ye to them not to me to them but I did it to let them know that I truly appreciated their service and I told them I will definitely be back great ending to a great day and they made that possible

I usually like this store however my experience yesterday was unfair.My cart consisted of crab legs, fish, a few produce products and an amazon card. I went to cash out and the cashier asked how I was paying and I told her with a debit card. She asked to see my card and license and I told her that I have my husbands debit card and gave her both items. I did put my Big Y card in the system as well. I began to tell her that Ive never was asked for my license when shopping, ever. Cashier says well I guess Im the only one that follows policy. I tell her well I can go to the ATM and get cash if you want. Then she says Im sure its fine but let me get the manager. Now know this, Im getting offended...first off this is my 3rd visit to store since June 12th and used the same card and never asked for my Id, also Ive shopped in many places and never asked for my ID. Never happened before!Anyway, the manager comes and tells me that this is the procedure and next time I need to have the matching debit card and ID. Mind you my husbands info is on our Big Y card as well.Has anyone else been asked for their ID when using a debit visa card. Please let me know so I can feel a little better.

Theyre renovations to accommodate covid procedures are excellent. They added a ton of spaced out self checkouts.

One of the better Big Y locations. The store is not cramped, usually well stocked and organized. Checkout is often backed up early AM as there is only one register open. Id like to see improved response to customers with reusable bags; please dont automatically add a disposable bag to my order, pack those bags full!

I enjoy shopping at Big Y the store is very clean you have friendly staff who are always there to help & the donuts from the bakery are the best Donuts around. And the cashier Lady Sue is very friendly shes a real nice employee and she always talks to customers, and when I cash out I always look for her to see if shes there cuz I like going to her to cash out.

I was in and out to do a quick shopping visit to return one item and purchase 2 more. The staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. The store was clean and the parking lot lightning could have been better. The prices were affordable too. There was a vast selection in which to choose from when looking for something. All in all I give them a thumbs up!

Clean, well lit store. Polite employees. Well stocked. What else could you ask for in a grocery store? Well they also have delicious sushi made fresh in the store daily. Some of the best chicken noodle soup around, and they make a good sandwich at the hot food counter.

I usually like this store, but with the advent of Covid-19, shopping has become very stressful. I appreciate they are trying to assist customers with keeping their distance, but without making more room in the store for people to self-distance, they make it harder. Could they remove the cases that are in front of the Dairy area so people could get around other shoppers who just linger? Just put the bread items in the bread aisle, and the other items all have a place as well. Put the Entenmanns in a less trafficked area.

Great selection as a local grocery store, prices arent too bad if you know what youre looking for but can be rather expensive compared to other places around town. Their seafood and deli has noticeably fresh food compared to others. Plus you can save money if you become a member of their program.

Love this grocery store. Stopped in recently after my visit to Elysian Aesthetics Center up the street. They have an amazing selection of organic foods and wonderful fresh fruit. Way better than stop and shop in my opinion!!

Great bakery, have noticed slippage bake goods coming out later and later, cant get fish to about 9 and lot of items I purchase seem to be getting removed. Once I got yelled at for ordering 3 lbs of sole without calling ahead but noticed that guy isnt around anymore.

My cashier was super nice, however everyone I encountered throughout the store were either dreading to be there or on a cloud far far away. I wonder what would happen if the customers were distant and stayed far away?

Im not going to comment on price differences because I truthfully dont notice. I can say the North Haven location does an excellent job of getting customers out the door. Theyre customer service is impeccable in that I have never had to wait in a check-out line. The store is always clean and stocked and is the only place I shop for groceries.
