Great alternative to Home Depot or Lowe’s. The inventory has really improved over the last few years and the employees are always knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

I’ve been to Bills Hardware a few times years ago,, after recently moving back to the area I noticed its now called North Haven paint and hardware and decided to stop in for paint . It was nice to find that this business still runs in the same family . I’ve been back for a few things since . Terri is always nice ! (and helpful in finding what you need), if they don’t have exactly what your looking for they’ll even order it for you ! Its original location is also very convenient, not far from the Big Box Stores where you’ll waste an hour trying to find what you need !

Just walked out of the store, as neither of the two men working there were wearing masks in the middle of the pandemic. I have COPD and usually shop here. The owners really should get a grip on their staff and have them wearing masks, or thats it for me. Went back to see if anyone was wearing a mask, yesterday. Yes, they had one and pulled it up, when I entered the store. BTW, the information about wearing a masks that was taped to the door was not true and citing Dr. Fauci to prove your point was well, very uninformed.

Customer service was very poor

I went to Nortj haven paint because HD was so crowded.I didnt know what to expect bit the service was excellent ! Very knowledgeable and helpful ! There was just one employee tje day I was there. There was one guy before me, but when it was my turn I had a professional that could answer all my questions with confidence!The quality of tje paint was excellent !Will ne going back !

The owners and workers was very pleasant to deal with, very helpful to the point that they helped me with the merchandise to my car. I totally recommend.

Its hard to find a good to hardware store these days. Warners hardware, what used to be at the corner of Grand avenue and Front Street, was for more than a century our neighborhood hardware store. But they went out of business after home Depot opened in North Haven. today there are very few neighborhood hardware stores left. Which is part of the reason North Haven Paint & hardware is such a gem. They still have a wide array of stock and more importantly they have people who know what you need to do to solve the problem but you confront. Sure the big box stores are cheaper, but its more difficult to find someone there who knows which wrench do you need or how to solve your problem. The staff at North Haven Paint & hardware are both knowledgeable and friendly

Why deal with traffic and lines when you can drive up to the front door and get friendly, knowledgeable and courteous service immediately? Forget about the big box stores, and support your family-owned neighborhood hardware store!
