I brought in my VR5 a few weeks ago for a simple oil change and a full inspection of the battery, transom, engine along with a cleaning and tune up. I spoke with a gentleman named Jack, who assured me that everything would be completed in about 10 days...it has surpassed that amount and every time I call the business number, it goes to voicemail. No texts have been responded to either. I drove by a few times, and absolutely nothing came of it as no one was at the location. Just fully unprofessional, will never stop by again. I have no doubt they pay for their good reviews.

Love this shop. Since I found these guys I wont take my boats anywhere else. The have worked on at least 4 boats for me now and have exceeded my expectations every time. Very knowledgeable and always go above and beyond. I recommend them to everyone with a boat I know.

Basing very knowledgeable I dropped my boat off with ease. Only 4 stars because Im waiting for the work to be done !UPDATE 7/13/2020:We picked up our boat and its working great! Everyone at BJ marine was awesome and they did great work. They were able to get our boat done within a couple of days and allowed me to pick it up a couple more later! Would recommend this place if you need boat work done!

I purchased an older ski boat (1995). The outdrive started to make an odd noise after my first trip out. I brought the boat to BJ Marine and they found that an outdrive bearing and several gears were shot-metal chunks were found inside. They recommended I replace the unit and they had a rebuilt available. Picked it up a week later and had an amazing day at the water. Great job by this team and I will bring it back for any future issues that I encounter. I recommend them to anyone that needs marine service!

Bought a used trailer from them that they customized to my boat. Was a bit complicated, but they did everything I asked extremely well. Wish I could give them 10 stars.

I had to replace my engine, and it went smooth and on-time. Big job that no one wanted to touch, they did it no problem. Ive referred several people there with the same experience. In a world of shady boat mechanics and empty promises, they delivered big time! Would recommend for any job.

We took our Dorset boat in to be looked at with an overheating problem. Jack looked at the boat said the motor was very old and hard to get parts for which we already knew and he sold us another engine and out board for a very reasonable price however when they took the Motor and out drive out they found that the boat which was a 65 had lots of rot which we didn’t know about, they gave us a price that seemed fair to fix everything, however it was much more than we wanted to pay to have the boat fixed, so Jack took the trailer and $100 to dispose of our boat which was very fair. We thank Jack and his company for his customer service under this bad situation and we will use him again and we will refer him to whoever we know that needs boat parts. thank you JackJohn O’Brien

I bought a boat for $300 on CL. The motor was bad. I went to BJ Marine services hoping that they could help. He actually HAD the I4 volvo q130 motor that I needed and he sold it to me for a fair price. I had his shop go through the whole boat. (SIDE NOTE: you should do this when you get a new (old) boat). Anything he found that needed repair or replacement, he called immediately.He also separated out need to from the should do for me. I ended up replacing some stuff, saved other stuff. He rebuilt my power trim and dual carburators. I put it on the water a YEAR AND A HALF AGO. NO leaks, and everything works as it should. This boat has been on the river FULL TIME since the day it left his shop.He charges a fair price for very good work. Trust me, you do NOT want to skimp tobfind these problems when you are floating down the river.I am taking a second 23 foot day cruiser to have a motor installed in it the same way.Very honest shop, and they are responsive.Schedule ahead to bring something by as they are pretty busy.Happy boating.
