Over the past two years, Warren Hay Mechanical Contractors has provided both maintenance, repairs and, yesterday, installation of a new HVAC system. Always, their technicians have been timely, knowledgeable, professional, extremely thorough, and personable! Working with Mike Montgomery in the pricing, purchase, install and payment was truly effortless😃. Many 👍’s for the services provided by this company!!!
They do all my work in myrtle beach at multiple houses, thay are the very best and very dependable and reasonable.
Warren Hay was contracted thru my home warranty company to repair my ac unit. It took them almost 3 weeks to come out and repair the unit after the initial consultation. I had to call and follow up as the office did not reach out to me to schedule an appointment to install the new compressor. The lead tech waited until the end of the installation to tell me that there was an uncovered expense. when i told him that was something that he or the office should have disclosed before beginning the job he became upset as though I told him something wrong....the other tech was apologetic and very friendly. After my experience with this company I will be finding another hvac company to service my unit .
Blessed morningSo it’s not done behind you’ll back. This is the review I will be doing for Warren - Hay NMB. Have a blessed and safe day.I wouldn’t recommend this NMB location to anyone. For services or employment.Service reasons- I witnessed a No A/C service call request. Where the Warren - Hay employee Joshua. That previously went out installed a part wrong. That’s why the customer wasn’t getting A/C service.- I witnessed another service call where Joshua didn’t suggest or mention. That the customer had ice on the evaporator coil. That could cause more damage. With the customer not knowing about the problem.- I have witnessed preventative maintenance calls. Where all the preventative maintenance that could be performed. Is not performed but it’s not mentioned to the customer or documented. What’s the purpose of paying for a service that’s not fully performed.- I witnessed a service call for a new compressor install. Where Joshua didn’t mention to the client. Before performing the service about a fee he had to pay. Then didn’t understand that it wasn’t the fee. That was the problem it was the principal of not. Knowing until the end of the job about the fee. Also on this same service call. The client capacitor was reading fine. But Joshua was gonna replace it and bill the client. Warranty company for something that didn’t need to be replaced. Until he called his brother and he told him “he did it last time he was at the client location.”- It’s common courtesy. To introduce yourself when you get to a clients home. And when your re entering into a clients home. So not to startle them, just in case they forgot you was there, etc. It shouldn’t be irritating that someone has common courtesy.- Joshua curses while speaking with clients and while performing services. With windows open in the work area.- They currently don’t have the staff for installations and current preventative maintenance customers. So instead of informing the clients and warranty companies. They take the job and schedule the clients way out. Like they busy, when they not. They just very under staffed. For the jobs they taking on.Employement reasons- To have a company Mission Statement. That’s not followed by all employees. When it comes to sucess and driving company vehicles. Makes no reason to have employees receive and sign the handbook. Especially when office staff knows that there not being followed and apparently don’t care.- I’m a black women. Michael the SC area GM stated that “I don’t talk black.” What do black people talk like? Then when I asked him. “What does that statement mean.” Michael and Meaghan denied it was said (when he did). Then Michael tried clearing it up by saying. He said that “ I talked proper.”- Michael feels that “I’m not blessed because I’m still working”. Just because I’m still working. Don’t mean that I’m not blessed. Blessing come in more ways then just fortune.- Meaghan shares employees personal information. That shouldn’t be discussed with other employees. No employee should know that. This company knowingly had an employee working. For six years with no drivers license and how much money he owe to get them back.- If your being yourself (a people person). Meaghan will fill “your over doing a good impression”.- This location only has two HVAC employees. One is good (Jimmy) at what he does and take pride in his work. The other one (Joshua) shouldn’t be alone. Especially if he has to keep calling the other one for help, installing parts wrong, not recommending/mentioning needed things (ice on evaporator coil) to avoid a bigger problem, etc.
These people should be in jail, I have American Home Shield and they tried to sell me a new AC system since the dispatcher took the initial call. It has been 3 weeks and I still have no ac with 4 young children in August in surfside beach. I tried to get cash out money with American Home Shield to have my neighbor fix it who owns AC company but warren- hay refused to send invoice of work order and wont call me back now. Please pray for me and my hot family and more importantly pray for warren- hay.
Our AC died and needed to be replaced. I called American Home Shield and they sent out Warren-Hay. I couldn’t of asked for a better company to deal with. They were fast in getting my replacement unit in and were the best price. I highly recommend Warren-Hay.
Our Home Warranty Co. sent this company to fix our AC.This is an outstanding company. The gentleman that did our work, Chris T (I believe) is very thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place!
Warren-Hay was contracted to repair my AC through American Home Shield. We live in SC, its extremely hot and I have 4 young children, including a newborn. During the initial call, I told them it was an urgent situation because of my baby and young children. Warren-Hay took over 3 weeks to finally show up to my home. Instead of repairing my unit, they are trying to sell me a new unit. However, they have not provided the correct work order to American Home Shield so that the new unit is covered, as stated in my contract. There have been endless phone calls with no solution. At this point, I have no AC and no parts have been ordered and nothing is happening. Im waiting. This is completely unacceptable. Stay away from this company, they are a scam. They take more work than they can handle and they dont try to repair units, they just want to sell new units. They are not here to help the customer. They do not care if your family is suffering in the heat, all they want to do is make extra money. If American Home Shield sends Warren-Hay ask for another contractor. This has been nothing short of a nightmare and its not over yet. BEWARE DO NOT USE WARREN-HAY.
Joe from Warren-Hay was so great and helpful... We found Warren-Hay via American Home Shield, and we are so glad... They came all the way to Wilmington, NC very quickly and Joe was very fast diagnosing and fixing the problem... This was especially critical due to the fact that temperatures are in the 90s here in August... Thanks again Warren-Hay!
Have been waiting 3 weeks total now for our unit to be repaired, they were sent by American home shield and although I understand things need to be approved and parts need to be ordered, the time it is taking is ridiculous. Last Thursday we were told we would be the first appointment this Monday morning. Well, apparently one of their techs had an emergency and called off today resulting in us now being rescheduled to tomorrow. When I inquired about sending another tech I was told the other tech is in NC. So there are only 2 technicians for this whole company?! I am curious to see what the excuse will be tomorrow seeing as its supposed to thunderstorm! Meanwhile we have taken off of work and are losing money each time! If we were paying for it personally and it wasnt through our home insurance plan I would have called another company right away, but what else can we do but wait now.
We have done business with Warren Hay Mechanical for 2 1/2 years to 3 years. We have a service contract with them for a our place on Oak Island. They have put in 2 new systems ( upstairs and down) for us over the last 2-2 1/2 years. All of the Technicians are very experienced and professional. I even had additional venting done, as I had never been happy with the airflow in the master bedroom, vanity and bath area. Tim measured the output capacity and realized a need for a new intake vent and new output vent in the vanity / bathroom . What a remarkable difference! Most recently, as renters were leaving, they reported a problem with the upstairs AC to our management company. Warren Hay works well handling issues, even when owners can’t be on site. Chris came out for emergency service. Even though we have American Home Shield coverage, I ALWAYS defer to Warren Hay. They are extremely timely and give expert attention and service when needed. (American Home Shield has competent enough staff, but they are NEVER IMMEDIATE, reaching them is difficult, they always wants a 2nd opinion, and then ‘nickel and dimes’ you. When it comes to HVAC, that is NOT an option)! Chris spent 30 minutes on the phone with me, as we troubleshooted a ‘locked thermostat’....he pointed out that it was ‘ Locked’ in the ‘COOL’ position. Meaning, that when FALL WEATHER does roll around, I would not be able to get heat! Yikes! Thankfully, he pointed it out to me. Incidentally, he discovered that when he checked my downstairs system. BTW: He had a ‘work order’ to only investigate the problem in the upstairs system. That ‘above and beyond’ effort was a real blessing for me.I would resoundingly recommend Warren Hay Mechanical to anyone in need of quality HVAC services. Their knowledge, professionalism and quality products will leave you very satisfied. I know my husband and I have first-hand knowledge of that.
I was contracted to Warren-Hay via American Homeshield. No problem with them inspecting my HVAC and determining the best resolution. In my case it was to replace the whole unit. We picked a system, and scheduled the day and time to have it done. They were punctual and extremely courteous. They were equipped with everything they needed, and in three to four hours we had a new system up and running. They worked efficiently and made sure they cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. I appreciate what they did for me! The cost was very reasonable - even lower than the lowest estimate I got from a well known competitor. I got a quality system, at a decent price, installed quickly and efficiently.
SUPER KUDOS to MAC and MEGAN, and the rest of the crew at Warren Hay! They made my day...got caught with a bad condensation pump on my AC and these guys jumped right on it and had me up and running in no time! My experience with Warren Hay was ABOVE AND BEYOND expectations!
BEWARE!!! We spent $2,000 last December when they installed new coils in our Trane system. They claimed they would give a full year warranty. LIARS! When we called this week, less than 6 months later, with the same problem they refused to send a technician out without payment. Do not trust these people to do anything for you. Find a more reputable company to do business with.
Clown outfit. Rude, disrespectful, and offensive. Probably the most unprofessional company Ive ever dealt with. Came to do a service call and said they didnt want to even be there and wouldnt want to do anything at our property. Dont waste your time.
This company is joke. They have the worst customer service I have ever received. I have been with out AC for over 2 weeks and they have yet to fix. They do not care. We had to fire them and go with another company. I will never recommend them to anybody.
Terrible company, after telling me they would be here for my repair at a certain time, no show. Took them 3 days for them to tell me that they dont even service my area!
