We had an awesome 4 hour charter with Captain Ty, not only was he a respectful young man, he was a very knowledgeable Captain. His knowledge of the area we fished was incredible, we had an amazing day on the water with this young man. We also rented a small boat for a day on the water which his father delivered to the dock, he gave us a quick tutorial and away we went. We had a great 2 days on the water and will patronize Fish-on outfitters when ever we are down in the North Myrtle Beach area.

Sold a reel, that was missing screws did not work. Than refused to replace refund or rectify. Basically laughing about it. Complete sham business. I should have asked locals first. Because many ended up saying. It’s always the same story with this place.

Very nice and helpful lady, but a very run-down and very old-looking and unkept business, starting from the outside sign, to the parking lot, the outside displays/bait coolers, the inside, etc. Everything looks run-down! It almost looks abandoned. That said, I did not use any of their services, so maybe the optics of the location dont reflect their fishing services? But personally, given how the place is kept, I wouldnt risk doing business with them

I’ve taken several trips with Capt Ty. Always makes sure he gets you on the fish! Very knowledgeable about the area and the waters.

Had a wonderful time with Captain Ty ! Caught some really nice Flounder. Highly recommended for a great day on the water.

Great place to get bait and tackle, small business but very knowledgeable about fishing in the area. Did rent a boat but they seemed to have two available for around $250-400 for half a day.

Hey y’all this is Capt. Ty! I just wanted to say we are a very up-kept business and we are not abandoned! We are currently in the middle of remodeling our bait tanks and signs so we can have a different variety of baits instead of just mud minnows and crabs, stop in and see us today!

Loved.loved loved the little lady behind the counter! Bought myself a new Mako pole.. a HUGE crabpot....lots of bait and tackle...and even a nice pair of Calcuttas for my hubby and a bucket hat for my little man. Super friendly! Will be back every time we are down!

Decent selections of rigs and tackle. Didnt have any live bait. The frozen shrimp wouldnt stay on a hook definitely past their prime.

Do NOT go here... terrible service and ugly attitude. My wife bought bait here around 11am. And perhaps, she really should have paid better attention to the quality. But after arriving home 5 minutes later, we discovered that most were dead or dying.So, she went back an hour later... and the lady at the counter was rude and non-emphathetic.My wife left with the original, mostly unusable bait. Never again. If this store does have ( and I really dont care if they do ) an all sales final policy... there is still a right way and a wrong way to treat customers.I realize that this review will have very limited impact on their existing customers. I just hope that it will cause potential new customers and vacationers to think twice, before giving up their money.Sarcastically speaking, I hope that the $12.99 for a bag of bait is worth more than the potential loss of business.

Terrible customer service. Do NOT buy from this establishment.My wife went into the store, earlier today to buy bait. Once getting home, we discovered that they did not seem to be alive, though we had kept them cool during her 5 minute ride home.Yes, my wife should have inspected before purchase. I can understand that. But when she went to return them unopened ( an hour later ) for a better container, the older lady at the register was rude and non-emphathetic.Not sure ( and really dont care ) if they have an all sales final policy. There is simply a right way and a wrong way to do business.I realize that this review will not matter to her regular customers. But hopefully, potential new customers and tourists will think twice... and perhaps take their dollars elsewhere.

I was very polite and did not deserve the attitude I received from the lady at the front desk. She made me feel bad for not having enough cash on hand (had to run to the car to get the rest). She told me a certain price but when I came back in it was a different price. I then told her I had to go back to the car to get the rest and she was upset. The guy behind me said he will get my change (it was .29 cents more) and in a condescending way she thanked the man behind me. Never going there again.

Best bait shop on the strand, did not charter with them but did use them for pole rentals and bait, FRIENDLY as a Midwest Sunday morning, Sue fielded all my initial question on the phone and what she didn’t have a definitive answer on she referred me to Ty who handled everything like a true pro, offered local intel and advice on the areas we fished. The poles we rented where ready at 6 am when they opened, they came rigged ( Carolina of course ) and ready for action. If we vacation next year at North Myrtle ( we mix things up a lot ) I will assuredly be taking out their skiff for several days. If you’re in the area and plan on fishing I’d give them the time to stop on and say hello because those folks are as good as good people get.....

Captain Ty took my family out in the inlet today. Everyone caught something, but even better, we saw amazing sights and learned a lot about the flora and fauna. A must-do in Cherry Grove!

WE GOT BAD WEATHER

I simply stopped to check directions on my phone. Trying to find a local repair shop. Wasnt stopped no more than a minute. I can not drive and look at phone. The person running the store come running out and WAS VERY VERY rude. Instead of asking if he could give us old ladies directions, told me to get off his property that I was blocking his business. I never put my truck in park, had foot on brake and constantly watching for vehicles. Also there were other entrances. If thats a southern nice gentleman, then I pray I never meet another one. All I can say, one day he may need directions and I hope karma bites him where the sun dont shine.

Not the biggest selection of tackle, but they have the basics covered. The lady running the bait counter is super sweet and proud of her fresh bait.

If you want to fish on the beach or pier, this is your shop. The lady running it is an expert and can get you all geared up if you have nothing or simply get you the proper love bait for a good price.
