The entire crew at the Car Care Center, from their manager, Technicians to Receptionist staff are all SO Awesome!When i arrived for my appointment, the manager was dealing with some ding-dong customer who brought in a battery for some kind of warranty claim, the customer was getting upset that it didnt work that way, and the manager, really nice guy, kept calm and keep on explaining the same thing over and over in different ways, so that eventually the customer understood and walked out, but he wasnt as upset when he left. The Manager even gave the customer his card and said to call him on his cell if he had any issues following his directions in order to take care of his dead battery.Not my direct experience, but what I saw was fantastic customer service, and the most perfect way to deal with an upset customer. This Manager was a professional.I took my car in for an alignment, and they were on time and did a great job. Super quick, and super helpful!Im not a AAA member but they treated me, and everyone else like a star customer.I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

Hello I feel like everytime I take my car there they fix something and something else be wrong. Dont get me wrong I know my car is dated 2095 Lexus and the inside its always clean it always ran excellent until I started bringing it there. Toyota dont have problems like that never had so many problems I had this car when I graduated college its my baby. I was at AAA in September 2021 and was back October 2021 and Three months before that September my bill was $1900.00 and for October it was $1300.00 and everytime before that over a $1000.00 Im sorry but I dont have money like that so this Last time I reclined I feel like all that money could have brought a new car.....so NO more...

Ive been a customer of a few different mechanic shops as of recently. Unfortunately, I havent had the best results.I almost NEVER trust national brands, as most of them charge unreasonable prices. I would never eat at a subway or a mcdonalds (just as an example).Some of my poor auto experiences in the recent past have been extreme delays waiting around for a mechanic, as well as some other shops overcharging. Rental car bills can add up to beyond the price of the repair itself.It seems like 90% of dealers and mechanics are rip off artists. You trust them with your cars and sometimes they give it back to you in worse condition than you gave it to them in, and sometimes you never get the car back at all.After being turned away from several shops for repairing the alignment on my supercharged land rover, these guys tackled the issue very quickly and very efficiently, for $105. The dealer wanted $400 and change. The local guys said it was too much of a hassle or check in with me next Thursday.I would have to say this repair experience has been the absolute best experience Ive had in the entire auto industry. Including an uncle and a brother in the car business (dont deal with them they are scams too).After a thorough analysis of the business model, I feel that AAA is one of the best in class businesses; since they dont rely on income from ripping people off who are driving in with broken down cars. They dont rely on selling you a car for double the value of the car itself.These guys rely on a subscription service, that operates as insurance, and this unique offering enables them to offer auto repair services to the public at a discounted rate.

Really like this AAA location. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Have gotten help planning and booking both road trips and larger trips. Triptiks now have a feature that can also be downloaded. They did a great job on my and my sons passport photos which are free with premier level. Have also picked up travel merchandise including rfid security items and they have a tire/ repair center. I have had nothing but positive experiences and therefore highly recommend them.

I called to make an appointment. And was treated with attitude I would never bring my car here. I was having battery issues and asked when they might be able to look at it. I was told I dont know what to tell you they are really busy. You can leave it if you like but dont expect it to get looked at (for 4 or 5 days later). They obviously dont want my business so they wont get it.

My wife and I came here for information about a France trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I browsed around the store and found the hugh change of AAA services. AAA has evolved to a face I could not recognize. To attract customers, they have even expanded to car maintenance service... This location is quite big and well facilitated. It surely gives a comfortable service environment....

I went for 4 tire alignment and they aligned just the front tires, they said the back tires were not aligned because they dont have the tools for toyota.So I paid full price ($89.99) for a service not performed.I request a return and they refused it.So I disputed the charge with american express and if they still refuse it I will resolve it in court.This AAA IS A SCAM.Never going to this scam place again.Probably after this post, someone from this company will apologize for it but they will not offer any solution, because all this AAA company is a scam!!!!!!

Ok with scheduling appt.the quality of auto service. :(i when for a oil change with all the service complete,tire rotaccion, safty check etc .i got the oil change ok how ever the rest of the other services not.i will not go to the locavion again unless its an road emergency.i regularly go to the eatontown location and i have no complains . ;)

I took my vehicle to fix my Air conditioner. I was told they had to take it apart to “figure out the problem.” Said it would cost well over $1,000.00 to get that done. I went to a local mechanic who fixed it in an hour for $140. Fair to say I won’t be coming back here lol.

Went to scheduled appointment first day all bays full asked for newt day put in for 7:30 a.m.was there b4 all employees waited for mechanics. When tech looked at computerhe said there was some notes with only 3 or 4 cars there all day i didnt get out until 3:30pm for a shock absorber and a oil change which led me to believe that the note that was left was to screw me over all day, good thing i got paid for the day, made it worth sitting there n lookn at their faces. My experience for my car needs was done professionally from the time I arrived the staff was exceptional everyone I had contact with was very welcoming and understood my needs. The convenience of maps etc. and items to purchase were displayed conveniently for viewing. The friendly atmosphere and comfort and cleanliness of the waiting area made the whole experience for me a very positive one. I would recommend this place for any auto needs. Large location with a customer seating area that has coffee and other treats. You can browse travel maps and what not while waiting for your car. When I was finished I felt that the mechanics did a great job with my service.

The personnel there are very professional and courteous. I bought my vehicle there to be serviced for a specific reason. They actually discovered a safety issue which could have been deadly. My steering and sway bar linkage was totally broken out of place. They did not want me to leave the facility without it being fixed. They actually stayed over one hour past closing so that I could have my vehicle that evening. I highly recommend that facility.

This is the second time this office has completely dropped the ball.I broke down in rush hour in the center of an intersection. Not the side but the center. Im now blocking everyone. I tell AAA this several times that the police need them now or they will have their own contracted company tow me out. They assure me it is a priority call and they will come asap.Fast forward an hour and forty minutes the driver shows up. He sees where I am and asks why I didnt tell AAA that Im in an intersection. I tell him I did, every time I called. He shows me his call information that in all of the sections dispatch could have written this, they left blank!He is quick and professional, Hands me an ice water, and gets me where I need to go.Bring us to today, I call at 8.35am. They give me an estimate of 9.32 but since long tow they want me to go with the driver. I have my mom rush over to take my kids and wait. 9.45 comes and I call. This is the ACTUAL STATEMENT THE REPRESENTATIVE SAYS:We cant find a driver willing to bring you 63 miles.Are you kidding me? Every single time you call AAA they beg you to upgrade. Every. Single. Time. I have now upgraded to their top tier program. I cannot go any higher.Now I want to use this service I have paid for for years but have never used.And the DRIVERS dont feel like DRIVING.Imagine you told your boss you dont feel like doing your job?!

WARNING! NEVER TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO DO WORK ON YOUR CAR!! I went in for an oil change and many other services were recommended. We chose to do a fuel service. This caused our car not to start. I had to be boosted back once & towed back another time, both AAA who said the service center did something wrong. Had to take car to dealer who had to fix the issue caused by AAA. 8+ people and later who said AAA caused the issue and $2000 in expenses. AAA still denies any responsibility. THIS IS JUST ONE OF SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE AAA CARE REPAIR. STAY AWAY.

I came to get worked done on my coolant system, shocks and struts replacement, as well as fix a tire which had a nail in it. The process took a while and was expensive. Providing the amount of repair done, I guess the price is justified. Overall I cannot complain and so far I do not have any issues after the work has been done.

Went to center for help with international travel on a busy Saturday. Reception employees were extremely gracious and very apologetic for an understandable mix up that caused a delay in seeing an agent. I was very impressed with their attitude and effort to make it right. The travel agent was excellent,too- very patient and knowledgeable.

My husband and I were there the day before Thanksgiving. One tire had a nail hole in it. They kept the car for many hours and finally called and said the tire can’t be fixed and you need four new tires. We went back during rush hour and got our car back as we knew that what they told us was a complete lie. Took it to an auto repair in another town and they plugged the tire and charged us $60.00. This AAA in North Plainfield is a complete rip off!

Car service portion of AAA North Plainfield doesnt even deserve 1 star. I brought my car for my 10am oil change appointment last week. At 10am when the store opened, no one was there yet. There was a line of people waiting to get in. My car was not looked at until almost 1pm. Remember, I had a 10am appointment. They called to tell me that in addition to the oil change I needed front and back brakes and rotors. When I declined the almost $1200 service, the service rep proceeded to attempt to bully me and scare me into getting the service done. I was basically told that my car wouldnt stop while driving out of their garage. After a 15 minute attempt to take advantage of me, I still declined the service. Fast forward a week and I bring my car elsewhere for new brakes. The mechanic brought me the brake pads to show me that yes they were worn, but in no way were any of my brakes dangerous. This was AAA attempt to bully a female because they thought I didnt know any better. Never again will my car be brought to your service facility... never again will you have the chance to try to bully me into spending money on unnecessary service.

Doesnt even deserve 1 star. Terrible experience paying membership. The bill says STOP BY a AAA LOCATION. I did this as it just opened next to Costco = how convenient. A rep called later that night to tell me North Plaianfield was not my region and they could not accept the payment, but would mail it to the Union location. Next day - sorry we stamped the check on the back and Union will not accept it. You have to write a new check and go to a center in your region. What !@@#$ is that? The bill says stop by and I did. I guess you dont want my money.

Went there for tension belt assembly and simple belt replacement. Technician torques the bolt which is attached to engine block which breaks. Then says he has to try to drill it out but does not have the time. Then they send me home in a lyft? Car still sitting in the shop. This place is a joke. Should not be doing business.

Even though they dont entertain retail customers on a Sunday and I am not an AAA member, met up with Tim and he was an absolute delight. Dont be fooled by the fact this service center is affiliated with AAA. This is a long one, but I recommend reading this.Ive been a AAA member since 05 and I have never been so disappointed with their service. My car would crank but wouldnt start on 7/30. So I figured why not use one of AAAs service centers. That was a huge mistake.7/31 I notified them at this location that I was having my car towed after hours and told them the issue.On 8/1 I call in the morning to make sure my car was there. The gentleman tells me they cant find my key. First of all I only have one key for my car. Second, wouldnt you call to tell the customer you cant find the key!! The key was found, onto the next. That evening I called for an update. I was informed they still dont know whats wrong and they would call me with an update. No problem.8/2 and no update, so again I wait until the evening to call. I was told my car started no problem. The gentleman said they would see if it started Saturday morning and update me... you know because they have been soooo good at contacting me with updates.8/3 a friend picked me up to bring me to check on my car around 12:25 PM. I walk in and go straight to the service center where I see the gentleman I have been contacting the past few days looking down... he was most likely on his cell phone. I wait 3 minutes until I say, excuse me. I tell him who I am and he told me again my car started again with no issues this morning (mind you I never got that update call I was told Id get) and they cant charge me the diagnostic fee if there is nothing wrong. Which is great because that would save me $60 something (thats with my AAA member discount). I was embarrassed and apologized. I felt so stupid that my car was okay after all. He said he would pull my car around for me, taking his time getting out to my car and starting it. I saw him pull out of the space so I told my friend she could leave. Im waiting 10-15 minutes. The gentleman comes up telling me my car was sounding weird and now wont start. This is very odd to me, but ok. Again, I was told they will call me with updates. Guess who didnt get that update call? This girl.8/4 It took me 30 minutes, calling a different location and getting transferred for them to finally answer the phone. This time it was a lady who answered. I was told again they still dont know whats wrong! I told her Its most likely the fuel pump, filter filter or maybe just the relay! Ive had this happen on another Cavalier. I told the lady I have never had a car take this long to diagnose. She told me she would speak to her manager and call me right back. I told her no Ill stay on hold since no one likes to actually call back. I was on hold for 54 minutes... I hung up and called right back. The lady immediately answered and said they THINK its the fuel pump. Magically they have a diagnosis after I mouth off some random things that could be wrong? I told her they are not to touch my car and Im getting it towed somewhere else. Im now on the phone waiting to schedule a tow, she calls back. For the inconvenience they want to give me a discount to fix the fuel pump, you know the issue they think it is. Curious, I ask how much and if it will be fixed today? She says yes id have my car by today and it comes out to $550 and some change. Wow, now its going to be fixed in one day... get out of here. My car was towed somewhere else and Ive now been carless for 6 days. I will stay away from AAA Service Centers from now on.

I wouldnt even give 1 star if it were an option. Had a 1pm appoinment and my car did not get pulled in until 2:20pm. I arrived 10 minutes early out of respect for other peoples time and unfortunately that courtesy has not at all been returned. This lack of professionalism is completely unacceptable. Once the service of wheel balancing, alignment, and oil change is complete Ill post another review. Thanks for wasting my time AAA.

BEWARE is all I can help people by saying. This establishment is a joke. PLEASE read all the negative reviews before trusting your car to this place of business. I took my vehicle there on 9/15/18 for what I already knew was a power steering fluid leak. My mechanic at the gas station I go to diagnosed the problem but didn’t have the time to fix it & I also right after that went for oil change at Valvoline & they said “do you know you have a power steering leak”. So there I had 2 opinions. At AAA I told Demitri what I knew was the problem but he said it would cost $50 just to look st it. All in all the cost I am out is $297. After putting car up the lift I could see thru the big open windows Demitri & mechanic looking perplexed. After a little while Demitri comes in to tell me they can’t find the leak but they are 90% it’s coming from the return hose so they will start w/repairing that & if cat still leaked fluid to bring it back & leak would be somewhere else. He said there is just no way to tell where the leak it. So fast forward 8 days & I see the liquid reservoir is way down. No way was I taking my vehicle back there. I take to a mechanic down the street. The man there laughed when I told him the AAA incident & the fact they could not find the leak. He said it is one of the easiest leaks to find. All you do is put car on lift & have someone turn the steering wheel & pressurize it & that will show where the leak is. He did this in under 10 min & found it was the rack & pinion repair. What upsets me is the fact AAA is employing undertrained mechanics who have no idea what they are doing. Maybe they are good at oil changes but not much else which is scary to think our lives are in their hands. Do yourself a favor & find a good mechanic who is knowledgeable & who can be trusted. This place is NOT the establishment. Yes I am a woman. Hmmm...bet that made a difference. They think we don’t know anything about cars. Well think again. WHAT A JOKE THIS PLACE IS!!!!

If I could, I would rate this place a negative star. I waited over 2 hours - with an appointment- for an overpriced oil change. Dont come here just because youre a AAA member - you only get about 5 bucks off. Grease monkey worker conspicuously left fingerprints all over my touchscreen, made my steering wheel greasy, and inflated my tires to the wrong pressure. Do yourself a favor and save your time and money by going elsewhere.

This review has no bearing on the staff but rather the store location. It used to be across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall and was a beautiful store and location. They moved from there to a strip mall on Rt 206 S in Raritan and the parking and location was not ideal. They moved again into the old Albers Fireplace building in the medium on Rt 22 in Bridgewater. This is a horrible spot and DANGEROUS to enter and exit onto the highway in the fast lane! What corporate imbecile makes these decisions, especially from AAA who professes car and travel safety. Im sure they will wind up moving once again after losing business at this location. If your a senior citizen, forget about going there as your risking your own safety!
