The customer service representative George was polite, intelligent and gave me wonderful knowledge of the recliner. I called three times to check if the chair would be the correct size. George called back in a short time when promised and had extreme patience with my order. I finally ordered the larger recliner and this will be my second chair. The first recliner I absolutely am satisfied so I wanted a second piece of furniture from La-Z-Boy. Your furniture last and last and the material is exceptionally comfortable. I will definitely tell my friends of this wonderful product and dedicated the sales person, George.

He works at Lazy Boy only on weekends currently in North Plainfield. If you want a great sales person do your best to do your shopping on the weekend.

I ordered a recliner, cocktail table and an end table. I was told that the recliner would take 2-3 months to be delivered and the tables would be 3 weeks due to production issues (due to COVID-19). I received the recliner in 6 weeks and the tables arrived 3 months later, with a big gash on end table. I refused the end table and asked for them to order another, 3 weeks later, I’m told that they are trying to determine if they replace the damaged shelf or it’s a six month wait to order a new one. Unbelievable! Poor customer service and poor quality assurance. I didn’t mind the wait initially, but they don’t inform you that it’s going to take longer to deliver and when it finally arrives, it’s damaged. Now an even longer wait period for replacement?

The employees were very friendly and not pushy. They answered all my questions and when I was ready help me make a purchase. When they delivered it inside the provided window of time told they set it up right where I wanted it and even removed the old one outside. It was fast and efficient. I would definitely purchase from them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for new furniture thats built very well, with lots of options.

The entire furniture buying experience was extremely wonderful and comforting. We knew that we wanted and needed to buy a couch (my wife and I), and we kind of knew what we wanted. I have to say that I was taken aback when I learned that LaZ-Boy customizes what they have on the showroom floor to suit our needs. Kiera was the sales associate there, and made the experience a pleasant one. The staff as a whole was supportive and also professional, but comforting to our tastes. We had a very pleasant shopping experience at La-Z-Boy in North Plainfield. I met with Sharon and explained what I was looking for a recliner sofa. She took me to every sofa that met my requests. She took the time to explain each sofa and made sure I sat on each one. She took her time and didn’t pressure me. I left and promised I’d be back the next day with a decision, once again she didn’t rush me and answered all my questions. She was extremely knowledgeable about the product and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this store.

We went in to purchase a sofa and were waited on immediately. I knew approximately what I wanted I was shown what I came to see and a couple others I liked better and we purchased our sofa. We were done and out in less than a half hour.

I pretty much have an entire living room from La-z-boy for about 3 years now. I do not regret my investment. Every time I have gone to the North Plainfield store and they have been nothing but kind, informative and very professional. I always recommend la-z-boy.

Stopped in at LaZboy in North Plainfield to look at Sleeper Sofas. We were immediately greeted at the door by Sharon who couldn’t have been nicer. She asked us for specifics and seemed to know all of their inventory and there were many sleeper sofas to see. She spent the entire time with us and answered hey all of our questions and worked up various prices on those we were considering. We left with a good idea of what we wanted after borrowing several fabric samples to take home (for 48 hours).We returned in 2 days and Sharon helped us again with ordering the sleeper sofa. The only negative is the 7 months of waiting for the finished product which we understand is ‘due to Covid. I highly recommend La Z Boy and Sharon so far.

My wife and I purchased a powered recliner. The sales staff was knowledgeable and did not pressure you. They explained the product, let us take the time to test the various recliners and answered our questions to help with our decision. The only issue is that the custom order will take six months. That shows you how valued the product is. It will be worth the wait.

Greeted within minutes of our entering the store by Gilbert. We told him what we were looking for and he directed us to those options. Answered all our questions. Put our couch selection on a computer screen so we could get a full visual of our room including our wall paint and floor color. We had him change out several pattern selections for the chair and couch we selected. He as patient and did not rush us. At one point we were the only customers so his colleague Kiera joined in with suggestions and support. We ultimately purchased a sectional couch and chair from them. Great customer service!

We felt comfortable walking around looking at the different styles. After a bit George came over and said if you need anything, we still wanted to look a bit, by ourselves. After we had an idea we spoke with George who was able to help bring our idea together. He was very professional and knowledgeable on the styles and product. I’m looking forward to receiving our furniture in 8-10 weeks! Update after 12 weeks and some phone calls checking on status we were told the furniture was in, paid for the furniture in full and booked delivery for 10-10. The night before I never received a call so I called and was told we are not scheduled till the 17 which will be hard we will be out of state. So they scheduled it for 10-14. So we will see!

I recently went to La-Z-Boy in hopes of purchasing furniture prior to a move. The entire staff is helpful and amicable. The store is also very cozy and relaxing. What really sold me on my purchase was my salesperson Kiera. Kiera is friendly, patient, and beyond all, knowledgeable about the products. It was as if Kiera knew what I wanted before I even stepped in the door. Could not have asked for a better experience and I will definitely be returning to La-Z-Boy North Plainfield!

My sales associate was good and patient with us.... was disappointed in the lack of negotiating on price. The furniture is very expensive and the manager was not willing to offer anything to a customer willing to spend 6,000... instead, we changed the furniture selected and spent less than was intended which theoretically caused the store to lose 2K worth of a sale .... you would think given the mark up on furniture that they would be willing to come down a little on price and sell 6k instead of 4k worth of furniture

We’ve never shopped here before, and our first experience was excellent. There were plenty of styles to choose from, as well as fabrics and colors. The prices for the pieces we feel are reasonable. Only downsides were delivery charges and placing used furniture at curb instead of disposal. However, our saleswoman Anila worked with us and we feel that she and the store are deserving of five stars!

I was looking for a chair with really good back support but not a rocker. George was very patient, listened to my needs and showed me my options. He didn’t rush me and let me test ride each chair. It came down to two. Luckily, both were in stock. I chose one after texting And gaining approval from the boss lol. Thank you for your help.

We purchased our first Lay-z-Boy recliner sectional 19 years ago and it held up very nicely and were very satisfied with the quality. So when we were ready to buy again we went directly to Lay-z-Boy again and purchased a new recliner sectional. Our salesperson was very knowable and courteous. The process was quick and easy. We just received our new sectional and are very happy with it.Also Lay-z-Boy stands behind there product with no questions asked and replaced broken parts.

I am quite used to the quality of the Lazyboy chairs as I have owned many. They are durable comfortable and you get full value for the price you pay. Special notice from my latest purchase should be given to the Store manager in North Plainfield. His efficent courtesies and friendly way turned a difficult situation into another pleasant experience at Lazyboy.

The worst customer service experience I have EVER had. I was told by my sales associate, multiple times, that my chairs would arrive in 4-6 weeks. When I called during the 5th week for an update I was told they can not give me an update because are still in their time frame of 4-6 weeks.I called again 2 days prior to my 6 week mark for an update and was told that the chairs would not even be hitting the warehouse for another week. And they cannot tell me anything further at this time. I spoke on the phone with the NASTY woman who sold me the chairs. She was the most inconsiderate, people I have ever spoken to. She would not even let me get a word out, any time I tried to speak she cut me off.I have reached out to corporate about this individuals attitude and the lack of customer service at the store level.Unfortunately the customer service at the corporate level seems to be lacking just as much. 3 days after my initial report, I receive a 1 sentence email with no resolution to my problem, or update on my order.I will NEVER shop here again. As if the bell on the front door isnt sign enough, these people only care about making the commission, and do not care about what happens to your order after you pay them A LOT of money.

It took almost 3 months to receive my chair & couch, I was told 4 to 6 weeks. Problems with a couch. A lot of BS about it. Terrible communication, no one knew what was going on. Didnt get the couch I picked out, got a better one actually. But bigger, I needed a smaller one, like the one I originally purchased, it was a floor model. Got to see, test it, the size. My room is small, hard to find the right furniture, I can get big anywhere. I would need to pay a 250.00 restocking fee for them to take it back.I ordered a chair, that is awesome, but dont like how my LR looks, there screw up took away the joy, unfortunately.

Didnt buy a couch yet but rating my experience at this location. My wife, 2 year old daughter and I worked with Gilbert on finding a reclining sofa. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and provided a no-pressure experience. Would recommend this location.

It was a pleasure working with George at the North Plainfield, NJ store. He was knowledgeable, fast, and cut right to the best price. He also let us take borrow some leather swatches to match up to the other furniture in our room before purchasing. Would highly recommend going direct to La-Z-Boy for no gimmicks and the best customer service.

Excellent furniture store. The furniture is excellent quality, while still being affordable. We dealt with multiple sales people and everyone was very helpful, friendly and not pushy at all. We were told to expect our furniture to be ready within 4 to 6 weeks and received a call less than three weeks later and our new sofas were in our living room exactly 4 weeks from the date of order. The saleswoman was very nice but she was unable to answer questions and couldn’t really help us at all. A lot of stuff we didn’t know and my wife really loved the couch that’s the reason we bought it. Store is nice and the person helped us was very nice but just very uninformed. The couch was expensive it’s not like we went to a cheap place and we hear you guys were the best rated furniture company in the country. Very disappointed with the buying process. I don’t want to complain but it’s hard when you are trying to know answers to questions that no one had.

Excellent place to shop for specific type furniture, many other stores carry recliners, but not like Laz-Boy does, if you cant find it here your not looking for a recliner. Sales person George R. Was very well informed about his products, NO high pressure, looked at about a dozen chairs found the one I like asked him to price it up, by the time he did I had changed my mind, but no problem went with a chair with custom features and fabric, will be delivered late Feb.will be called before delivery, they will remove old unit and p,ace new on where I want it as well as plugging it in & testing the feature to be sure all is working as required.
