Very nice facility and the staff is top notch. One of the most difficult courses in the area, but who doesnt like to test their skill once in while? The prices are very low for such a great golfing experience. If you are an avid golfer that likes the challenge of a links style course- You must play Bobcat Trail.

Goat Track is the best description I can give. What used to be a very nice course now looks like a pasture. Only paid $18 for 18 holes and still got ripped off. New owners/management should be ashamed.

The greens are very good. The wind was a factor for my score on such a great course. A breath taking lay out . Food was great. Service is first class. I love and enjoy food at 5 star restaurants. The club house has 5 star behavior.Keep it up.

Played a few weeks ago and the course is in very good shape, the employees were are very pleasant and a special shout out to the lady who was driving the refreshment cart. I cant imagine not smiling being around her and her unbelievably pleasant demeanor! And not just because she was bringing beer! Great value for the money!

Charlotte Harbor is a great course. Easy access from 75, great layout, course service was friendly and accommodating. We had a group of 12. Course was clean and well maintained. Carts were in good shape. Staff and clubhouse were awesome. I recommend this course.

My husbands review from 4 years ago has been altered and was reposted as new. Update... in the last two years the owner has done nothing to maintain the golf course. I can not even give it one star, oh... I have to at least give it one so I can post. Our hearts are broken from what he has done to the course and our community. He had monetary support from the community and once he had the money he screwed us all. You cant make this stuff up. He has taken advantage of the elderly and this should be a front page article. Instead he declares bankruptcy to avoid bills and then withdraws because he had no way of paying his bills or improving the course, no plan.

This golf course is enjoyable for all skill level golfers. Excellent staff members who make you feel welcome and comfortable! This course is highly recommended and cant wait to play it again!

Awful, all the greens were brown and had many weeds and dirt. Worst condition of a golf course we ever played on. No water on the course to drink. We were told after nine hole at the clubhouse thatthere was water on the carts in a cooler. Gee. They could have told us! No code for the bathrooms. I called pro shop, no one was available to talk too. Very disappointed. Save your money and dont waste it there.

Anyone know when this place will reopen? Been closed for weeks and appears not to be maintained?

Played April 1, 2021. Reasonable nice layout, however most greens were in terrible condition, and several fairways were bare in many areas. Greens almost looked diseased. For the shape of the course, I felt the price was rather outrageous, $85.00. Plenty of nicer courses in the area, far better shape, less money. Disappointed to say the least.

Extremely friendly and engaging staff!! Sadly, the course is one of the worst Ive ever played. Oil burn marks on a green, weed patches on several greens, more dirt than grass on the fairways. Highly disappointed on the lack of TLC and upkeep for such a beautifully designed course.

A course with a nice layout that has been ran into the ground. Greens are in horrible shape. Many, many dead areas in the fairway. Six months ago it was not this bad. Too many other nice courses in the area to play at comparable prices.

Giving a 2 star rating is being generous. The fairways are sand, dirt and dead grass. The greens are a dead brown dirt and sand mix with sprouts of grass interspersed. They have the audacity to chage full price for a round of golf.

So sad - well designed course, but not sure if theyve watered it this month. Greens are splotchy and burned up. No ranger to speed up slow players. Slight discount rate compared to other courses, but not worth it.

I dont like to give negative reviews, but in this case I feel obligated to speak up and inform others how bad this course is. The layout has potential, but the condition of the course is appalling, dead grass and dirt fairways and the worst greens Ive ever putted on. I organized a get together of old friends at this course and was embarrassed that I selected such a terrible place. Not sure what is going on there, but do not waste your money at this course.

Still has a nice layout. But all tee boxes are ripped apart with no evidence of work taking place to restore them. If you like 220 yard par 4s and 85 yard par 3s, you will love it. Bunkers are improved. Not sure why they flipped front 9 and back 9.

During the summer they didnt have tee boxes because they were working on their tee boxes. Well September came tee boxes open and seems like no work were done on them... tee boxes were in bad shape, missing grass and the fairways could be in better shape. Somentee boxes should of been open over the summer, but common sense wasnt used. The layout is very nice, but conditions need improvement. I feel sorry for the owner the way the tee boxes turned out. Hopefully he didnt subcontract out the work, because he would of been robbed.

A fantastic golf club whether youre a beginner or a seasoned veteran! The course offers a wide variety of tee boxes, allowing you to play the massive sized holes or you can shrink the yardage to your comfort. The greens are firm and fair; the layout is diverse and provides many angles and many different approaches. You can play on Saturday and return on Sunday and play what you would perceive as an entirely different course. The ammenidites are spectacular and so are the employees. I recommend this treasure and cant wait to get back out there myself!

I had the opportunity to take part in our company Christmas function at Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club at Bobcat Trail. It was quite the experience! Being new to golf, it shed a ton of light on the sport itself. I now understand why this is a popular hobby and the course makes for a luxurious experience overall. The course was gorgeous and was treated very well by each and every staff member, they made me feel like Tiger during The Masters Tournament! Not only would I recommend this Club but, I would advocate for the younger generation to check out this Golf thing.

My wife and I golfed there on April 2, 2019 we hadnt played here for a long time I was expecting a lot more from the course, the tee boxes, fairways (a far amount of weeds), and sand traps (lots of fluffy white sand) were all fine but the GREENS ... quite a few of them need work, very thin in the grass department and there is no excuse for that. To me the most important part of a Golf Course is the GREENS I can ignore the rest but the greens are the most important part of any course. Sorry there are many other nicer courses to play. We wont be back

This place is like a cow pasture. The green have fungus and the tee boxes are better to be called sand traps. Customer service no good only feel like they want the snow bird money

The course should be condemned - not a single blade of grass on any Tee Box. The fairways have at best 20% grass coverage. The greenskeeper (if there is one) should be locked up. I would never play this course again.

Today we had a golf tournament at Charlotte Harbor. The course was very nice but more importantly the staff did a phenomenal job. The food, both breakfast and lunch was on point and delicious. Thank you to everyone involved.

I normally really enjoy this golf course its usually in very good shape however as of this posting In May 2020, The tee boxes have no grass on them and the greens leave a lot to be desired

The course appears to have not had any water on it for several weeks. The tees had no grass and were hard as a rock. Very difficult to get a tee into the ground. Greens were just as hard. It was a shame as it is a great layout but very poorly maintained.

Another nice golf course, easy to get to, just off rt 75. If you have guests visiting during the off season, I would highly recommend Bobcat. Good prices. Nice menu. Always in good shape.

Very reasonably priced golf on a great designed layout. Condition good, although spotty in a few places. Staff is nice. Good bar food. I play there regularly.

Since the course has changed hands it has been a great improvement. We will play the course this winter. We are waiting to get a tee time for January 14 or 17.

Was there for Christmas party and was overly impressed with how good of condition the course was in and how nice everyone on the staff was! Will be going back there on my own dime many, many times!

It was a nice enough course and I enjoyed the scenery. We saw about 5 or 6 different gators laying on the shore. My one knock is that they charge $30.00 for 20 year old Wilson clubs that you rent. They had to go to the basement to find missing clubs for the bag. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE CLUB RENTALS.

Course is in terrible shape after the renovations they did this summer. Tee boxes are very poor and the greens dont hold anything. Very disappointing. This was a great course last Winter.

This golf course, which I went with my friends couple, was messed up with the construction of a tee box, and the fairway literally seemed to have passed through the grass. It was a play course that was worth a single dollar.

It was horrible I would not come back for at least a year it really needs help after not watering the tee off greens or boxes sad . I love this course but it’s not on my list to play . Needs a lot. Of work and over cost to play now!

Tremendous value! The golf course is in great shape. Very innovative ownership and a very inviting membership. This place feels like home.

New ownership as of July 1st. Major changes currently underway. Will be better than it was when Golf Digest rated it in 2003. Has gone downhill severely since that point. A new beginning come back and play the cat. You will not be disappointed

A great staff, excellent food, the course was in great shape with the best bunkers I have ever played. Home of one of the best instructors on the planet Charlotta Sorenstam. I will definitely come back.

Nice fairways. Greens are not only lightening fast but massive borrow which everyone blames for the three puts, but I found them fair. The front nine can kill your score if you dont pay attention to the water.

Awesome track! Lots of improvements (incredible sand traps, with incredible sand), other improvements on the course and in the clubhouse. An overall tremendous experience!

We did not have a great round. Booked on golf now and it was not posted that the greens were air rated and covered with thick sand. Fairways are thick in some spots and thin in others. The GPS run carts stop more than 100 yards away from the greens and many holes were cart path only. No signs to warn of cart path only so when we drove on the fairway the cart would stop. The only saving grace of the day was $25 price. But really, if we had known all the issues we would not have spent that!

Played in late November. Greens were fast coarse was in good shape. Traps had a lot of stones and shells other than that it was a nice wide open coarse.

Course is in terrible shape. No grass on fairways or greens. Traps have very little sand in them, a problem known to members for the last couple of years. Had a 45 minute delay because of frost but after seeing the course I wonder what the delay could have helped. Starter pushed to get people off the first tee which resulted in 4 groups on the second hole (a par 3). Pace of play 5+. Definitely not worth the price they charge.

Love this golf course. Tons of sand pits and hazards to try to avoid. Definitely one of the longer courses in the area. Takes a few hours to do 18 holes. Rates are high ($100) during season and low ($30) during the off season.

Great round...wide open fairways...bottled waters and iced-down carts. Challenging pin placement and some tricky greens...plays like a $100 per round championship course!

Excellent golf course now, after all the money and work, they put into the course. Restaurant will be better after all the renovations are done....

Fairways and bunkers are in great shape. The greens are scheduled to be be redone, but theyre still better than most others.

Very nice course. Do Not play unless you are with someone that knows the course very well. Also recommend 20+ handicaps stay away. They are very serious about pace of play. We tried to take my parents there and were forced to skip 3 holes because we were out of position after having a hot dog at te turn and being too slow.

The last 2 times I played the course the upkeep was horrible. If it was still just $30 I probly wouldnt complain, but at the rate of $60 for a tee time starting at 1245 is not great. pay a couple bucks more and play sarasota national. trust me you will have no problem spending $5 more.

I dont understand why they close the Pro Shop so early. I called today, on a Thursday, and they said they close at 4:00. Its frustrating for people that work, that they cant even go out to the driving range after 4:00.

The course is under new management and they are definitely making positive changes and bringing the course back to life, It is a little pricey but overall its a fun course and offers a moderate challenge.
