Store Has an amazing selection, especially wine. Stopped by to pick beer, wine and some liquor for a party. Went to check out and guy behind the counter was a bit standoffish, but whatever, I had other things to worry about. Then I noticed a shirt he was wearing.. I stopped and asked him what it meant (I knew what it meant, just wanted to hear him say it). He disparaged the police. I said nothing, let him ring up my order and when it was time to pay, I looked at him and said we live in a great country where freedom of speech is everyones right. I also told him it was my right to decide not to support him or his company that has those views, left everything on the counter and walked out.

This was the best liquor store I have visited in the area. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. There was a specific wine I was looking and she knew exactly what I was talking about and lead me to the correct isle. She made some lovely recommendations for my next visit. I will definitely be returning to this store for future alcoholic purchases.

Great store and owner. He is knowledgable and helps get some of the harder to find bottles. I highly recommend them especially if you are a bourbon hunter.

Store name greatly underrepresents what is inside. Sounds like the old Package Store we-sell-beer-to-get-drunk-with They have a great selection of imported wine. In fact, probably the best range of quality wine in North Reading. Its clear a lot of thought has gone into their selection. It doesnt have all my Italian favorites, but Ive yet to get a wine that wasnt quality. Youll have to go down to 128 to find better. Anytime I need a bottle on short notice, its the place to go. A new name and an updated storefront and this place would get a lot more business.

My mother and I went into the liquor store to buy some wine, not knowing what we were looking for; This lovely gentle man from behind the counter came and assisted us and gave us some great selections. One of the best selections of wine in the area! Everyone was so helpful and genuine, one of my favorite liquor stores ever!

Had to return an item today--told it will take about 15 minutes; You are the one who selected the wrong product, so youll have to wait until we can get to you, were busy with other stuffOK...I will be sure never to burden these a*holes again. Machines for redemption not tended to, had to ask for help 3 times. Stock low on items I wanted to purchase. Don`t like how new management is working out. Looking for a new place to go in future.

My trip here was absolutely fantastic. The customer service was amazing, my cashier was very pleasant and gave me several good recommendations that went over well at my 4th of July Barbecue. I will be returning here in the future. I recommend you give this liquor store your business.

Have gone to the New England Beverage redemption center ever since it use to be the redemption boys. Always had no issues with the redemption machines nor the employees. If my machine went off I would patiently wait until one of the employees could assist me. Always a good experience will return again.

This is a decent neighborhood liquor store. Their beer selection is unlimited, where you will find quality craft brews and seasonals. They have a fairly good beer selection from all over states like Lawsons, Maine brewing company, Pipeworks brewing co, wicked weed brewing, stone brewing and some well known labels from the area. The selection of wines and top shelf whiskey labels, however, is quite good.And there is no need to review customer service, its excellent and great effort👏🏼.I wish I want one of everything from the store to taste🙂Thank you guys for showing us liquor heaven😎.

Just moved into this area and visited this store to buy some beer and redeem some cans. The machine wouldnt take my Blue Moon cans and Goose Island bottles. While I was in the redemption center, some people who had redeemed previously had left a mess back there. Two of the guys working there cleaned everything and gave me my money for the cans that were un-redeemable. Not only did they do their work proficiently but they gave me some personalized beer selection. glad to say I visited the store I wasnt disappointed.

Its to bad such an excellent place has gone down hill.I live local and have always made purchases from New England Beverage do to its convenience and service. But I have noticed the prices are now 10 percent higher than other stores and the service is lacking.I dont consider them a redemption store any more, they are not registered. By the state bottle law, retail stores that sell a product must accept it for return. On a recent visit, if i did not purchase and they would not accept my bottle return. On another instants, If their automated redemption machine rejects an item you must go to the counter where they call the manager and you may get rejected or have to bring it back later when the manager is present to see if he recognizes you as a good customer.Dont waste your time here when you can go to a place without all the hassle and high cost.

Had what I wanted

I have shopped here for over eight years. Recent change in ownership and staff has resulted Im zero customer service. Asked for assistance with redemption machine, clerk reacted as if I was inconveniencing him by being there. He also told me that redemption makes no money so they dont care.They just lost my business.

Best place in North Reading to get your fix.

Asking 95 dollars for a bottle of bourbon that retails at 35 dollars. Ridiculous markup. I hope the sweet sweet 60 dollar extra profit they make is worth losing a customer forever.

This facility must be under new ownership. They used to be so nice but this time when I went in to redeem bottles and make a purchase the 2 girls at the counter started talking down to me telling me that they wouldnt take the bottles after the guy in the back said they would and then the owner said really rudely that he would take them this time only after a few more customers showed up. When I said I would just take them somewhere else he yelled out in another nasty tone ... Fine I was just trying to help you out. If he was really trying to help me out they would have just taken the 6 cans that the machine wouldnt take and not laughed at me for having a Sanpellegrino can in the mix. I went up the street to Eastgate Liquors and had a warm welcome from happy employees who gladly took the rest of my cans back. I will do all my shopping at Eastgate from now on!

Customer service is non existent I was redeeming bottles when machine stopped stating bin was full call attendant. I know it showed $4.10 before it stopped. When attendant cleared it it went back to $0.00. They would not refund me the money. In fact the manager would not even give me his name
