Took my class today 6/12/21 and it was fantastic the instructor in the class room Adam and Adrian made sure we knew everything there is to know about becoming a carrier.....very professional and then we got to the range and all 4 of the instructors were fantastic ...i would recommend workman firearms to all....I give it 10 starts on top of the five that i already gave....

My name is Ron Horning and I just completed a CCW course. The instructor was Tom Dillon and let me tell you he knew what he was talking about. Never once did I get bored or got tired. He did an amazing job teaching the class and I would recommend Workman Firearms to anyone. There was also another instructor named Jason that was there to observe Tom and he was great also. Jason was an amazing instructor. I would recommend any of there classes. I myself attended the ccw class with Jason and the knowledge I walked out with was awesome. I was so not looking forward to sitting in class 6 hrs but because the way Jason taught it felt like I was there for an hour. I was actually bummed when it was over, I wanted more lol! The CCW class was a gift and it really was a great experience. Tom kept everyone engaged, entertained, and informed throughout the classroom hours and really reiterated the important parts until they really clicked. Great and effective teacher. Harry was such a great line Coach and took his time to help and make sure I understood what I was doing and helped me feel very confident. What a great crew there. Highly recommend. We took our class at the Brunswick location. Our instructors Adam and Rick were phenomenal. They were upbeat, entertaining, and kept you engaged in the class (which is what you need to learn). This class far exceeded my expectations. I learned a lot, they were amazing, and very patient with me.I would highly recommend anyone of any age to attend this class.The team in Brunswick were great!!! Love them.

Took the CCW class with Buzz. This was an excellently run class with lots of content. Buzz is high energy guy (with bad dad jokes) and great at explaining CCW. Made the day fly by. Adam Fronsee was excellent on range & made slight tweaks that helped a lot. The range is a clean and safe environment. I’m going back for more classes & range time. Overall, great experience.

Just finished my class today, had Nick as my teacher and he did an amazing job of going through every little detail on laws, gun safety, and protection. He was also a funny guy so noone was falling asleep. The course was a good experience and i would recommend it to anyone looking to get their CCW.

The staff was very knowledgeable and personable. The facility was clean and well maintained. They dont just teach the bare minimum, they go above and beyond. I would recommend them for anyone getting there ccw and any other classes they offer.

Tom Dillon was the CHL instructor for my class. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in his teaching. I went in with the just let me qualify and go mentality. But I am glad to have sat through the class I learned quite a bit.Cheryl was also very knowledgeable on the range. I had a few misfires and she cleared them well. Great instruction on how to do so also. I have never shot left handed nor one handed for that fact. I attened one of Workman Firearms CCW/CHL courses. Our instructor, Nick Quella, was concise, informative, and engaging. He easily couldve just boringly listed off all of the rules, protocols, and training materials, but he went above and beyond in presentation. He ensured that everyone in the class comprehended the material- especially in regards to safety-and provided ample opportunity for audience interaction and questions to be answered, which he did promptly and without ambiguity. The course wasnt just educational, but actually entertaining, which defintiely aids to the rentention of the vital information being provided. Would absolutely recommend.

I had my class this week, and cannot say enough good things. Chris was my in-class teacher. He made a few good jokes and kept the class interested. I had Cheryl for range time, she was awesome! Supportive and informative. I walked away better because of this class.

If you are looking for CHL class this is the team. I have talked with many people who have taken from different companies and my experience was nothing like theirs. Jason knows how to keep the class engaged and speak and present in a manner that you will be paying attention and enjoying the class. I have also taken a one on one and I am very pleased as someone who came in need a refresher this was the prefect choice.

I took the concealed carry class in Norton this past Saturday. Jason Soca was the lead trainer. He is extremely knowledgeable and did an outstanding job conveying the information to the class. The class consisted of first time shooters through lifetime shooters. Jason taught the class in a way that made the first timers feel comfortable and at the same time kept the more experienced shooters engaged. I have been shooting since I was a kid but Jason and Buzz were able to tweak my grip, making a noticeable difference on the range. Workman Firearms is a first class operation. Dont even consider going anywhere else for firearms training.

I have had conceal and carry license from two other states and this class surpasses all other training. I was amazed at how much material was covered and how much I learned. When I went to the range with Scott he went the extra mile to help me. He was very patient and considerate. I will definitely recommend your classes to others. The only other thing I would have preferred masks being required for students in the classroom.

Took the ccw class 11/29/20, Tom Dillon the instructor, great teacher, the instructors on the firing range, great. Don,t over look this place it’s the best.

Enjoyed the class, very informative and helpful. Walked away feeling more confident in handling a firearm. My instructor Larry was very patient with me and his guidance helped improve my aim. But...the class was too large, class numbers should be smaller in light of the pandemic. I had been told that the class numbers were smaller, certainly was not the case.

I took the CCW class on Feb 22 with lead instructor, Jason. The class went by so quickly as you found yourself deeply engaged in all information Jason was providing you. Hes an excellent instructor and extremely knowledgeable. I was a beginner at shooting a firearm and any knowledge surrounding the laws and basic safety of a firearm...I was never made to feel uncomfortable with the more advanced level of shooters taking the class. Harry did an amazing job as my instructor when I began the range shooting portion of the class. I was extremely nervous and he was able to quickly put my fears to rest and guide me to a successful range experience. I would recommend this class and these instructors to everyone! Thank you again guys, It was truly an amazing experience learning from you guys!

Took the CCW class with Buzz this past Sunday. First time gun user.Excellent class. Very knowledgeable instructor. Very friendly store personnel. They treated me with kindness and didnt intimidate me because I was a fist time user. Geared toward gun and gun usage safety. I highly recommend Workman Firearms.Took the Intro to Semi-Auto class with Scott this past Saturday. Excellent class. Scott did a great job. The instructors at Workman all are genuinely interested in making sure you understand everything no matter what your particular skill level is. Check them out for sure.

I took the CCW course at Range 42 in Norton today. Nick and Adam did a great job teaching the course. Colin was very helpful at the range. I was surprised how well I shot the 9mm I rented. I’m looking forward to taking more classes to improve my self defense skills. I highly recommend these guys!

Attended the 8/22/2020 CCW class in Cleveland (North Royalton). Classroom instructor Tom Dillon was engaging, witty, and knowledgeable. One might think that the required hours of class time would be tedious, but the time flew by. Range time featured individualized coaching with attention to fundamentals as well as the little details that make a big difference in results on the target. Highly recommended.

My husband and I just took our CHL class at Range42 in Norton. It was a long class but we had Jason as our instructor and he was very informative. We learned so many things about Ohio Laws, carrying a gun, and how to use it properly. Thank you Jason. Great Class! Now Buzz was my range instructor and he was fabulous. He was very patient with me and kept me encouraged. I wasnt lining up my sites correctly. He helped me fix that and I got all my targets. Thank you so much for helping us get through this. Completed my CHL recently with Workman Firearms. Great class, very informative. Nick was a great instructor. Would recommend this company for anyone interested in firearm safety at any level. Nick was very knowledgeable in the rules and laws of the State of Ohio. What was even more impressive was that if he didnt know he would tell you that and would work to find the answer. One on one instruction at gun range was excellent from all of the instructors there. They took the time with anyone that appeared to need the extra time and answered all questions that were posed to them.

The CHL class was fantastic and extremely informative. I especially appreciated the fact that they teach you the proper way to speak to a police officer if you are at a traffic stop, very helpful for future if needed. These guys were great in Brunswick. They were very experienced and knew the answers to every question that was asked. I was dreading the fact that it was a 9 hour class but they kept it fun and informative. I felt confident to shoot at the range for the last 2 hours of the course. I have already signed up for the Trauma class and the first level handgun training class. Im excited for my future training and would recommend this place to anyone!

Best training in the Ohio area by far. If your on the fence about taking one of their classes just sign up you will thank me later. Great group of talented professional instructors. The classes offered are very diverse and cover all aspects of good firearms practice. If you want shotgun, pistol, or rifle you will be hard pressed to find any training for the money that will even remotely compare. If you own a firearm training is a must! This company has it all!

This was a great course, they are very thorough and they want to make it their duty to make sure your informed and properly prepared to carry a firearm. I took the concealed and carry class at the Cleveland location on 1/25/20 and had a great experience. The classroom portion had great content and I learned a lot I can use in everyday life about personal safety ( it does kind of drag on toward the end a bit, but the instructor did a great job keeping people engaged). I feel more comfortable and knowledgeable conceal carrying after this class. I do feel that the range session at the end was the most valuable part of this class. The instructors were nothing short of incredible - patient when I was struggling with certain concepts when using a firearm and extremely enthusiastic and helpful. Can’t say enough about this part of the class was excellent and made me want to take more classes. Would highly recommend to any one with no experience or a lot - catered to all.

Instructor Buzz was awesome. Made the class knowledgeable and fun for the 6 hours. Also the range instructors were great for the range portion of the class. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get their CHL/CCW.

Instructors were certified. Very friendly. Helpful for all levels of gun owners. never once made me feel bad for asking lots of questions. FEMALE FRIENDLY! Safe environment to attend class and not have to worry about ones personal safety. Even provided helpful information on finding holster for female without bulk.

I completed their ccw course recently. The staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home. You get one on one range time, which is very helpful for someone who hasn’t shot a firearm before or doesn’t have much experience. Highly professional and safe environment! This class is top notch whether you are experienced or not. The instructors are friendly, and are available for any questions you may have. The range is set up nicely and provide any ear or eye protection needed. Pistols are available to rent if needed.

I took a ccw class here and Jason was my trainer . He is the most informative trainer ever!!! He kept everyone engaged and was very friendly . When it came time for me to shoot I had went through 2 trainers because I wasn’t getting how to shoot at all and Jason came and helped me and was very patient with me and also calming my nerves !! I just finished my CHL classes with Workman Firearms. I didn’t know what to expect when I went in because I didn’t have a lot of experience. The instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful. The class takes six hours but it felt like two. It was not only very educational but fun as well. Sometimes you go to these things and you feel like Charlie Browns teacher is talking to you. These guys had me laughing half the class. Everyone was joining in on the discussion and cracking their own jokes. They encourage you to ask as many questions as you have and most of your questions tie in well to the class. When we went to the range I didn’t know what to expect of myself. I have shot a lot of rifles but not many handguns. They do a good job of prepping you in the classroom so when you get there it goes very smooth. When I was done, I had a very nice grouping center mass. I didn’t think that was going to happen. The instructors stand right beside you and let you know what you can do to improve whatever your lacking. It was a breathing issue for me but they got me dialed in pretty quickly. If your looking to get your concealed handgun license, I would strongly recommend Workman Firearms.

I took the Concealed Carry class and am very pleased. I went in with no knowledge of firearms and very little about the laws regarding them, and feel as if Ive learned so much in just 8 hours. Jason is a great instructor. He was thorough and patient, and also kept the class interesting. The instructor I had on the range was also very patient and helpful, as I was pretty nervous. I definitely would like to take more classes here, and recommend Workman for people of all levels of shooting experience.

I highly recommend WF as they are very well staffed and have experts on hand to help instruct/teach you about firearm usage and safety. They have lots of options for the novice and expert marksman.

I literally just got home from my Concealed Carry class, and it was worth every penny spent. Jason was the class instructor and I thought going in that a 6 hour day of class time was going to be miserable to sit through, but he kept it interesting the entire time and was very informative and made sure everyone understood what was being taught. The 1 on 1 Range time was great as well. All the other instructors did a great job insuring you knew exactly what you were doing and were able to correct any mistakes as you made them. There’s a reason they have a solid 5 star review, I will most definitely be returning for more courses. Can’t beat their prices either!

I went into this class thinking Ugh! 8 hours! I hope I can stay awake!This course was packed full of useful information. The instructors were knowledgeable and came with a lot of experience. Teaching others a skill is a skill itself and Workman has mastered it. I highly recommend. LOOK NO FURTHER!! If you are apprehensive at all about getting your concealed carry, go to these guys and take the class. They pull no punches. They tell it like it is. It is by far the most informative. You will know at the end of the class if its something you want to pursue. My instructor was Jason. He was so patient. He also gave great advice on holding my firearm. They also offer other classes that will couple with this concealed carry class. I intend on taking some of those as well! I have not used a firearm in over 20 years. They were very instructive on stance, grip and breathing mechanics. Jason did a great job explaining the laws and proper procedures of owning a firearm. The class was a large demographic of zero experience up to seasoned military members....at no time was anyone intimidated! Great Instructors! I highly recommend this course!

A group of myself, a few of my family members, and many of my coworkers decided to use Workman Firearms for our Concealed Handgun License class. Every single person in our group agreed that the class was extremely informative and well taught. You’d be amazed how fast 6 hours of class time can go by when you have the right instructor teaching. Our instructor Nick was top notch and answered all of our questions thoroughly and also kept the class interesting. The range time with multiple certified knowledgeable instructors taught me more about shooting a pistol in five minutes than in the countless hours I practiced by myself before attending the class. If you’re inexperienced and want to gain a LOT of knowledge and get your concealed license at the same time, this is most certainly your best option. Also another great feature they provide is the ability to rent a pistol for the class for only $15.00. So if you can’t afford hundreds of dollars for a gun at the moment you can still get a top notch education for only around $70.00 Thank you to the guys at Workman Firearms for doing such a great job. Went to the CCW class this past Saturday and had the best experience! The main instructor Jason Soca was amazing -very witty and kept things interesting, especially by the class being 8 hrs.+...The entire class was VERY informative and of course shooting was fun with tons of just as knowledgeable instructors at the range. Everyone was patient with the students and gave you more than your money’s worth. I recommend EVERYONE recommend EVERYONE to get to this class. It’s worth it!! I promise:)

I just took my CHL class here after being referred by my boyfriend, who also took his class through Workman Firearms a year ago with his friend. All three of us had an amazing experience. Their team is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and are all more than qualified. My instructor was Jason and he was awesome. He kept everyone awake and entertained throughout the 8 hour course. All the range instructors seemed very helpful and had great attitudes. I learned a lot of good tips and feel more comfortable than ever handling my firearm. This was not your basic, sit and watch videos class. These guys were teaching, interacting and making it fun while still maintaining the seriousness needed for a class like this. The classroom instruction was very informative from beginning to end, no stone was left unturned. I cant single out not one instructor, because they all were full of great knowledge and experience, and made sure you left class with all questions answered.Now what can I say about my range instructor (Buzz). I was very fearful when it came to the range part of the course. Nathan Buzz Johnson had great patience, he paid attention to detail, and was able to give me awesome techniques with me being left handed. Jason was my instructor and he was THE BEST! I can’t remember the woman who coached me on the range, but she was AMAZING as well. I learned so much from Jason. He is very personable and I felt very comfortable talking openly with the class, and privately with him. I think he conducts the class very causally but makes certain to stress the importance of fire arm safety, and the laws as he knows and understands them to be written. I appreciated the videos he shared... all of the time he put into what he taught us. My range coach was also very helpful. When I left that Saturday evening I went to the range with my husband and I applied all of the new information they both gave me, the woman really took the time with me, helped me relax and really squeeze the trigger, instead of just pulling and i can’t believe how much accuracy comes from one little adjustment. Took the CCW class at Workman Firearms North Royalton yesterday. Nick was an EXCELLENT instructor who really knew his stuff. He made the entire class feel comfortable no matter what skill level they were at. He explained the material extemporaneously and from personal experience without the need to read from notes. Your could really tell he knew his stuff. All material was important and power point presentations were excellent. The class “gelled “ as a group. The range component was thorough and well organized. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get skilled in firearms training. Well done!

Our instructor Buzz Johnson was the best! Kept the class engaged,moving,interesting& light hearted..except when he had to make a point. On the range he had tremendous patience with us 1st timers, but kept us aware of all safety rules at all times. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thanks Buzz! Ur the best

I recently came to Workmans for their CCW class in Norton, OH. The facility was very nice and so was the classroom setting. The instructors Nick and Adam were great teachers and i honestly learned so much. We laughed, had discussions and they were always willing to answer questions if something wasn’t understood. I’ve only been to a shooting range once, so I was very nervous to go in the range. Adam was very hands on and helped me so much, I no longer flinched at the sounds by the end of the training. The instructor who helped my boyfriend (I don’t know his name, I’m sorry) was very helpful as well. Even the gentleman working the register was super helpful and eased some of my nerves. This was great experience for my boyfriend and I. We will definitely be back to keep practicing! If you’re looking for a range, or classes for licensing they offer so much and they have a good staff. I would definitely recommend Workman Firearms to anyone!

Buzz Johnson was an awesome instructor. He is knowledgeable on the material and also made it fun and interesting to learn. I took the CCW class this past Saturday, July 11th and learned so much! He was also my line coach at the firing range and was very patient in going thru the firing sequence with me. Adam was also very helpful before we headed to the range. I would recommend Workman Firearms to anyone that is looking for this very professional training. I plan on attending at least one more class or two with Workman. God Bless all of the instructors.

Excellent class! Instructor Jason Soca covered a lot of material and kept it very interesting. Great instructor during range time. Very patient and knowledgeable. Had me hitting my targets spot on! Because of this, I have signed up for additional classes at Workman Firearms!

Jason Soca was very funny and kept everyone very enthused . I love the fact that he would answer questions during his presentation. I enjoyed the fact that he honored our veterans tying their life experience with firearm safety. I rate the experience with 10 stars.

My wife and I along with 4 of my friends all attended the CCW class together through Workman Firearms. Our instructor, Jason, answered everyones questions and even asked if they understood his answers. Never made anyone feel uncomfortable due to their lack of experience or knowledge. Safety was their #1 priority throughout the class and was not only preached but practiced as well from the instructor. This was a very easy 8 hour course and very informative. The course pricing was very reasonable. They tell you about additional courses you can take through their company but do not pressure you to take the classes. I highly recommend Workman Firearms.

We have taken this class in 2 different states and this one was excellent. They were very informative and thorough, not only during the class but also during the shooting portion. You had someone one on one showing you what you were doing good and what you could improve. I definitely recommend them and will be looking into some of the other classes they provide.

I took a private CCW class with some friends and the instructor Jason was absolutely amazing. He kept the energy up in the room throughout the entire 8 hour course. He made the in class entertaining and he was an expert on the range. He was really hands on with the beginners in the class which was extremely helpful. Clean classroom and expert instructors, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The instructor was knowledgeable and encouraging. Id recommend them, and return for additional instruction.

What a remarkable course. Top notch instructors/mentors with impressive, admirable backgrounds, plus military prowess packed with information, instruction, great (authentic) stories and a touch of levity.  I expressly reveled the crowning two hours on the shooting range, with individual coaches who are authorities in accelerating and encouraging you to make the grade. I never felt bulldozed or intimidated but reassurance almost like being with family. I highly recommend for all ages.

As a person who did not grow up around firearms and had no familiarity with the laws pertaining to guns - or even how to use a handgun in general, I would highly recommend Workman Firearms for your Concealed Carry course, as well as for any other firearm training. The course itself was very informative and practical. Glen was very thorough with his material and is clearly up to date with laws, as well as technology. His presentation was highly instructive and very easy to follow. Later, when his team arrived to assist with the hands on training itself, they were all highly knowledgeable and obviously well trained – not to mention patient. Each of the instructors assisting students one on one with the range portion of the class were extremely professional and efficient with their assistance. I entered the range with a lot of anxiety, but was immediately put to ease because of the thorough instruction and training. I will definitely be following up with other courses as this team clearly possesses valuable and useful knowledge.

Attended the training in Amherst on 2 June 2018 - Nathan Buzz Johnson was both our Classroom Instructor and our Range Boss! It was a small class and Buzz had time to answer any and all questions - which he did quickly and understandably, personally demonstrating stances and proper body posture when holding a firearm. Buzz is very knowledgeable about firearms training and all the people he works with. I am very thankful that I found Workmen Firearms LLC advertisement online and was able to get into a class so quickly. I am an older woman who has not shot a gun for many years, so it was just like I was brand new to shooting again! However Buzz kept encouraging me to keep on keeping on! 😌 Thank you Sgt Glenn Workman for starting this well needed training for people like me who really need guidance with firearms! A GREAT BIG BRAVO ZULU goes out to Sgt Workman and his staff!

Very informative, fantastic instructors... The instructors really genuinely care about you, and are very helpful. They make sure you understand and have the knowledge needed to be a successful student. The course was highly informative from beginning to end. Each instructor were highly knowledgeable and I left gaining so much information. My range instructor was patient with me and taught me how to self evaluate my strengths and weaknesses. I am looking forward to taking more courses! Jason was a great instructor that made the class fun and was very knowledgeable. The range portion the guy (sorry I cant remember his name) that helped me gave a lot of good pointers to help my accuracy. I will be recommending Workman Firearms to friends and family.

Actually-this is Greg Ss wife making this review-as I took the class but he has a google acct. Loved this class!!!! Very informative, as well as interesting. This was my initiation into firearms. I had never fired a handgun before and was nervous about that & maybe not being able to hit the target. The Instructors for both the classroom & range were awesome! Thank you Gentlemen!!! Andrea S.

The CCW class was amazing, the instructors are very helpful, and the course was informational. The whole facility has a very positive attitude and a great vibe. Highly recommend!

What initially drew me to this business compared to others was the background and experience of the staff providing training. During the class it was mentioned they have not raised their cost in years because the biggest focus was not profit but delivering sound training. The class was engaging and very informative. The one on one range time was helpful. They are passionate about what they do and work hard to foster a low stress learning environment.

Very in depth information and very enjoyable class. When you go on the range it is one on one and very personlized teaching. They helped me with my grip and shot placement. The only thing I would have liked is if we actually got to have a little longer on the range with the instructor. with that being said they do offer other classes for furthering you accuracy and control. I will definitely be taking more classes with them in the future!
