I shop here frequently and as far as hardware goes, you cant beat it! Great staff and helpful too. Go here before you go to Lowes. These are good people.

Love this place. Love the small hardware stores... sure the big box stores serve a purpose. When youve got a big project. Or just need to find the same generic parts. But if youve got a small project that requires specialty pieces. take a gander down the nuts-and-bolts aisle.! Youll find the most random things youll ever need. Or never need... Guaranteed I spend an hour in their minimum anytime I walk in.

A nice approachable local hardware store. We rented a large wood chipper (pictured) from them. Very convenient. Friendly staff and the prices are reasonable compared to the big box stores.

Clerk was more concerned about getting his display set up then the customer standing in front of him. Offered no help with what i needed. Went to Ace Hardware and the clerk found what I needed within seconds. To bad, this use to be my go to store, now i will travel further to get what I want, but will never go back to this store.

Great neighborhood hardware store. Cant compete with the big box stores in terms of products and price. However you get help from the same people each time you go there. Its like walking into a small town and having everybody know you... Theres something very comforting about such an experience. The staff is very knowledgeable. Almost any question I ask them is answered with lots of detail. Everyone is positive and cheerful. I enjoy going to the store.

Thank you South Fork Hardware. You have saved my but many times. I am a repair plumber, I cant count the times I have gone to a job and not had the part I needed. On my way to the supply house across town I have stopped in a neighborhood South Fork Hardware and found that part I needed!! Instead of losing an hour or more of time I found what I needed and was only gone minutes.

I have been coming here for years, they have the best selection of bolts, nuts, screws and other fasteners in south Davis county. Its a small store, personal service, unless they suddenly get slammed. Which means you get to wait your turn. Throwing a fit because you dont get to jump in front of everyone else for service reflects on the customer, not the store. BTW, the sign is awesome, it is not too bright. To the other reviewer, stop using hallucinogenic drugs!

They never let me down. I have been working on a faucet issue and after 3 trips to Lowes and mindless wandering knowing what I needed but not finding anything that would work and little support from customer service, I headed to South Fork. I knew I should have went here first. Not only were they right there to help me but he took about a minute to explain how to help the job go smooth and had me on my way. He even pointed me to the plumbing supply store if I needed. Like I said they never let me down! Next time maybe I will be smart enough to come here the first time!

You need help with a project or to rent a tool for a certain job this is the place to go. Trust me your time is valuable and they know it. We go there instead of any big box store because they know what they have in stock and what you will need to finish your project. They also offer great advice to help you get your project completed faster.

Every time you enter this store the employees instantly greet you and are eager to help you with finding what you need. Its so refreshing to come into a store where customer service is still a high value.

This place is always the helpful place. The customer service is unmatched. They will often help me brainstorm for the best plan on my outside-the-box ideas for home improvement. It is a MUCH BETTER home improvement shopping experience than the big boxes.

These guys make Home Depot look good, and thats saying something. When I returned a rented sewer snake, the guy wouldnt give me my deposit until I had cleaned it with a power sprayer! A garden hose wasnt good enough. A total PITA. Never again.

Rented a skid steer. The rear tire was a little low, but I figured it was no big deal I have used them many time with lower pressure. Halfway through my job I made a turn on concrete and the tire came off the wheel. Again, no problem! I have rented from Diamond many times and thrown a track on an excavator and they can up and fixed it. So I called to let them know that the tire came off, no damage was done to the rim just tire came off. Two hours later (6:42 pm) I was informed that I was liable and if I didn’t have it returned by 7:45 they would have to Charge me an additional 160 dollars.First am I wrong in thinkin that if they rent me a defective or even deficient piece of equipment that they should have to fix it. If at the end of the machines life it broke a piston rod would I have to fix it?Never rent from them. Sure you may save a few dollars, but if you have any mechanical problem, Zack the “regional manager” will give you a call and say “you’ re liable” and we need it back tonight”.Bad experience

The best home improvement store hands down

Customer service is excellent! They always tell me right where to look when I need something. I guess thats why they can charge a premium for most things here. When I want to save money, I go to Lowes. But when I need a small item or two in a hurry, I go here.

Don’t rent equipment from them, they will not help you if the equipment breaks down. “You’re responsible for fixing it”

Helpful people. Cody and Diane know where EVERYTHING is. Prices are comparable to big box stores, but you can walk it from end to and without getting winded. Gotta love it.

Extremely disappointed in the level of customer service, I bought a double set of master locks for a job box I own, come to find out in my rush to get to work that I purchased a lock set that the u bolt is 1/2 to long to accommodate my box so I attempted to exchange them and was told that theres nothing they could do even with the receipt because I damaged the packaging when I removed the locks to affix them to the job box... What kind of b.s. Service is that?

I usually shop here only if Im in a hurry because its close to home I do like to get my keys cut here though because they always work. Cody is a bit of an in-your-face know-it-all but he does provide excellent customer service and product knowledge.

I like this a lot better than Lowes or Home depot. more family friendly and they always have what i need.

Prices might be a little higher than larger chains sometimes, but its convenient, fast, and sometimes they have stuff you cant find elsewhere. Great selection of work gloves that go up to XXL in some cases!

The staff was very helpful and nice. I was extremely disappointed in the minimum purchase to use a credit card. It is 2016, you need to accept cards for all purchases. Because if this Ill probably keep going to Lowes.

I decided to write a review because when I was looking for their hours, I saw one that wasnt a review, some one put up a complaint because of their sign. its a digital sign... jeez, I am surprised that the country bumpkin that complained about the bright sign could figure out how to get on the internet...ANYWAY, I use this store all the time, its about 10 blocks from my house and they stock so many hardware item that its just plain hard for me to stay away from. Its a converted True Value and they have kept it that way, if I want to find a GOOD brass valve instead of rows or cheap plastic ones, I go to this store. likewise for many hardware items. They USED to be a little more expensive but I keep going back for many things because Lowes and Home Depot are have raised their prices as well. if you live in Bountiful, this is a very convenient option.THEY HAVE. Garden supplies and tools, a little automotive and RV, plumbing for days and some electrical, mostly smaller household type wiring and such, a very small amount of finish lumber and posts mailboxes NUTS AND BOLTS GALORE, PAINT, and related tools and such and lots of other things like that. Good hardware store, you will find what you need fast and be out of there without the crowds and confusing places.

When I remember to come here, rather than one of the big box stores, I usually find what Im looking for, sprinkler parts, rent a log splitter, bolts and screws.

I have also had a very bad experience renting from South Fork. They also have high prices and a poor selection.

The store is smaller than the behemoths Lowes/HomeDepot, but there has rarely been any hardware item I could not find there and on a couple of occasions I found items there which I was unable to locate at the behemoths. They seem to know what to stock and keep shelves packed with inventory and variety. One thing that stands out and keeps me coming back is the helpful attitude of a particular energetic employee who goes out of his way to assist you and offer you useful advice. Too often at Lowes/HD, if you can even find someone to help you, they will offer advice which doesnt seem logical or thought-out (a know-it-all attitude ). Ive been steered toward several poor buying decisions as a result of this. At SouthFork, the gentleman I mentioned before, provides good advice and I never get the sense that he is talking out of his behind. If he doesnt know an answer, he doesnt make one up. Im very pleased with my experience here and its nice to see the small guys do well and satisfy customers.Regarding the review about the sign -- I dont get it. The sign is not that bad and is in an area where there are much-worse eyesores and there are no residential areas nearby that would be annoyed with it. Sounds like someone needs a nap.
