Great store for magic the gathering. Awesome aesthetic store setup for tournaments.
Just go to Mana Bar. Probably the worst customer service Ive ever received. Me and some friends almost brought alot of business to this place but they lost it. Everytime we went in, the kid working there would make us feel rushed as we were an inconvenience. Our calls were constantly ignored. Told to message them on Facebook to order singles and they never return messages. I love magic. But this place takes the fun out of it. There are so many other great places in buffalo. Dont waste your time here.
A little cramped but overall a fantastic experience.
I mean they have games, magic cards, more games, and a few other collectibles. Play a round with somebody & stay awhile. Or ask after a card and see what they have. I dont know...Ive only been here once and dont know much about it really, but I liked it and the owner was nice. Maybe they have other stuff--stop in and find out!
Beginner at MTG? They have all the tools to build your deck from scratch. Novice with a little background in it? They can make your deck that much better. Advanced player? Put your money where your mouth is and go up against others in the area to see if your deck measures up. Either way... Dark Forest is the place to go.
Excellent selection of rare mtg cards and accessories (all 10 dual lands/piles of GP and championship playmats). Awesome trade rates. Knowledgeable and courteous staff. Will definitely be hitting this shop up again when Im in the area!
A nice business owned by young person. He has tournaments and provides economical and nice place to play Magic and other card games. You can also buy supplies for playing.
Cool little shop, very unique. Matt is great and always willing to help with whatever you need and answer your questions.
Great place to get things like magic the gathering cards and other card games
The absolute best place to go to buy cards, MTG merch, or for friday night magic and prereleases. Plus you can trade in cards for credit if you end up with extras after buying boxes.
I really like this store been comming here, off an on since they opened. ownership has changed but that has made it better. they 98% of the time have what your looking for.
Small place, but friendly staff and reasonable prices.Ive been here for pre-release recently and there were about 45 people or so, good turn out but nearing max capacity.
I used to love these guys for their Minis, but the new owners dont seem to have them. However if youre in the magic they got you covered and theyre pretty good Im bored Games and have a bunch of space where you can play.
Best place for singles. I often go there thinking he wont have the random 20 year old cards i need for pauper or my cube, but always wrong. Fast on getting you what you need, with prices often lower then what you might think. Ill keep going there for me and my kids.
Dark forest is a great place for Magic and any other nerdy desire you may have. The atmosphere is always friendly and inviting and there is always something going on. I would highly recommend checking it out
Matts my favorite game store owner that I have come to know. I would recommend to any magic the gathering or board game player in the area.
Always fun to stop in and look around for magic of the gathering cards
With new ownership the shop is great! Matt is very responsive with singles and decklists. They now do Friday night commander for $5 store credit for every win in your pod. It is tons of fun and the people there are very easy to get along with.
Great place to play! The staff is great and always have great recommendations.
Had warhammer and magic with very little of anything else. Went in on a Friday evening and there were about 15 people playing. No employee even talked to me. Mtg Single prices were very high despite a good selection.
Been here a few times for MTG events and thats the basis for my review. Pretty much your average local game store. Does seem to be primarily mtg oriented but they have other tabletop games. The owner is an exhuberant friendly guy and the prices have been reasonable. Atmosphere for events I have been to on Saturday and Sunday is usually pretty low key and not super competitive. Nice place to do an mtg prerelease.
Place is great. Friendly local MtG community. Owner is a cool cat.
Very friendly and helpful. Limited stock, but able to order any game youd like within a week.
Visited for an MTG Pre-release event. Prices on MTG singles and sealed products was good but not great but overall the location was welcoming and clean and the players and staff were a nice crowd. Would recommend!
Nice crowd suited for all levels of play. Very organized and makes it fun for everyone
A friend and I stopped in for some Magic Cards and sleeves. The owner was very friendly, honest, and helpfull.Thank you!!!
Matt is outstanding. He is patient and knowledgeable. Also its absolutely wonderful to ask for a card and have it in your hand within a minute because he has everything so well organized - I cant stand digging through boxes of cards yourself not really knowing what is in there. He just finds it for you quickly. Matt also was kind enough to help me with a deck I was frustrated with - his ideas were great. And instead of trying to upsell the noob (me) he just made suggestions that were extremely reasonable pricewise and considerably less expensive than what I thought I would need.
An awesome magic the gathering store. Go check it out! The owner is a swell guy
Good game store. The owner is friendly and helpful and the other patrons were nice as well.
Ive been here only a few times, but I can confidently say that this is the only gaming store between Lake Erie and Rochester. Theyre a little slow on getting new product in, but they order based on what people buy. They have a healthy no-jerks policy, and built a great community. The owners helped me pick out my WM army and gave me impromptu painting lessons, ordered product that they didnt have in the store. Im normally wary or even shy around new gaming stores because you never know what kind of people youll find there, but Dark Forest is a class act.I dont feel like im pushed to Buy-or-Die like other game stores, so i feel much more comfortable giving them my money.Oh! And Its Clean!!
Very nice selection of singles. Worth the drive.
Best selection of magic singles, owner is super helpful with all things mtg.
Awesome store will being doing business there again.
Although they are transitioning away from miniatures gaming and focusing more on CCG, the staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Hosts Magic drafts in Tuesday and Modern tournaments on Wednesday.
Won a game with a Tibalt. 10/10 would FNM again.
Matt is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful
Great place, suggest it
Not always open when they say they are, but otherwise, its a great place to get Magic: The Gathering cards or table - top games.
Great shop for Magic
The new owner is always knowledgeable and helpful with any questions from customers. Specializes in MTG.
No quality interaction with any customers and prize support for tournaments are altered in the middle of a tournament. I dont there still fixed there clock years later.
Friday edh is the best
Not nice people bad service
Great place
Always has what I need.
Welcoming
