I had a custom ring made at Northampton Jewelers about a year and a half ago and I absolutely love it. The jeweler is a really skilled artist/ metalsmith. He paid attention to what I wanted, my aesthetic and also the type of ‘wear’ I would be putting on the ring in order to make something that would suit me and my lifestyle. Im very happy with this item and wear it all the time. It’s very ‘me’!

This man messed up every piece of jewelry I gave him. He kept my stuff for 4 months and I had to call the police to get it back.

I gave the owner an idea of what I wanted and the timeline that I had for my fiances wedding band. He was great about walking me through the process and was so knowledgeable. He was very reasonably priced compared to other local jewelers. He even dropped the ring off at my house when he was finished. The ring is beautiful and well made. I am very happy.

This guy is amazing!!! My husband & I first came in the day we were engaged with a ring from his family. He did a great job resizing it & replaced the setting because it was so old i was going to lose the diamond.Today I can in again with the same ring that I destroyed on a hot day inside a garden glove. It was no longer a circle & one of the prongs was bend so bad it was next to another one & I was about to lose the diamond again. I wasn’t expecting for him to fix it right away. He had it fixed up & I was on my way in no time! I highly recommend him!!!!

I’ve never seen such creative genius in jewelry design and I’ve been around some. Father was a Geologist gemologist and big business with rocks and minerals. Just amazing designs. So so Rare and beautiful! What a place!!!

Here’s a timeline of my experience:1. Enter jewelry store. Jeweler is courteous and personable. He takes sterling silver band (no embellishments, no stones, it’s a silver band) for resizing; tells me it will likely be a week.2. I call after a week. It’s not ready.3. I call again after a week. I speak directly to the jeweler. He informs me the ring is done and I can come pick it up whenever.4. I go to pick up the ring. He has no recollection of talking to me and the ring is not done. He tells me he’s busy because it’s wedding season and that someone will call when the ring is done.5. A week passes. My husband calls to check the status. The jeweler says he’ll check and call him back. He never calls back.6. Another week passes. No call.7. Another week passes; no call. Husband goes to collect the ring whether it’s done or not. He is informed the ring has been done for two weeks.Keywords: Careless dishonesty, wasting my time, poor communication. Go elsewhere; he clearly has no respect for customers who need small jobs done, and let me add: all he had to tell me was that he was too busy to do it. Totally unnecessary.

Amazing service, superior craftsmanship and really phenomenal experience. My wife and I had my wedding band made by the master himself. We worked on a design, materials and overall plan. This man is swamped with work, period. He is also a true artist of the highest caliber. This is not your mall store, you cannot expect a turn around in two weeks, if you need that, go to the mall. I remained in touch with him throughout the creative process, design and actual production. He made our timeline. I feel like we have a friend in Northampton as well as special place to visit as we invest in more pieces and grow old together. Hopefully he clones himself and we win the lottery so we can have more pieces made.

Tried to have a silver watch bezel made, I brought my mould for casting into the store. (I had my own mould made) I was told it would be about 2 weeks. After almost 5 and a half months and many phone calls of being told it will be done next week, I returned and collected my bezel mould. No work was ever done. The owner seems nice enough, I just can’t ever get anything done there.

The jeweler is a very nice man. However, I brought a watch in and it took ages for me to discover it couldn’t be fixed (by another man who on,undoes watches on Monday). The jeweler cut off rings that were too tight. I returned in November for him to repair the rings so I could wear them. It is now April. I visited once in February and they weren’t ready. I’ve not gotten any calls, so maybe it’s up to me to check back. These are not any rings. One is my mother’s engagement ring, my wedding ring and my college ring. I so want to like this shop and man, but I’m totally frustrated. I’m sure repairing rings isn’t as lucrative as making them, but then don’t take on the job. So—not the place to go for small jobs.

I had a great experience discussing design options for a very simple custom ring for my sister. She needed it for an event in 6 months, and, like a lot of people here, I called regularly for 5 months. Heres the thing, when he missed the window for me to give her the ring in person in time for the event, he overnighted the ring to her internationally, out of pocket. He spent $75 to ship a ring I paid $150 to do right by me as a customer. He takes a while because hes an expert craftsman, cannot recommend enough and absolutely worth any headaches.

Should have read the reviews before coming to this place. The store has been closed most times that Ive tried to visit, despite their operating hours. I dropped off my watch one evening to be resized, and the jeweler said it should only take a day and that they will call when it is done. I call at the end of the next day to ask about the status, and the same man couldnt remember about it and kept confusing it with other work orders. He then told me he would call back the next day. Its been a couple days now with no response. Ill take my business elsewhere.

Just awful!! Brought in two clocks for repair and the owner said they would call me the following Monday. Never did and 3 weeks passed. I tried calling, emailing and even stopped by and they were closed. The second time I stopped by he told me they could not be fixed and gave several different excuses why they dont check the email and why the phone doesnt work. He said if they could be fixed it would cost a huge amount of money. I contacted a different place that fixes clocks and he repaired them in 2 days. This guy is not honest even if he smiles and seems friendly. Would never shop there again.

I am NOT happy! I brought in a necklace to be fixed in a few places. The owner told me it would take a few weeks. It’s now been a few months! I call every week and he gives me the run around about how difficult it has been to repair and he also sent it to California!? To his “friend” that he sends lots of repairs to.... this man seems shady and I wonder if I will ever see my beloved gold necklace again..I wish I knew that 3 weeks really meant 3 months. I regret ever bringing my necklace here. My next call will be the police.

Having the jeweler, make a eternity ring for me with square & round diamonds. Real nice man, listened to what I was interested in,I asked him suggestions,,new exactly what I wanted. Told me about cut, &clarity.showed me the ring in beginning stages. Spent a lot of his time with me. First time ever having a ring made for me. Mr. Cuauthi (sorry if spelling wrong)seemed to have a few followers, because people kept coming into talk to him about previous jewelry. I know he has made me a follower hopefully for my 40th anniversary ( 2 yrs) I will be back for another ring! Looking forward to seeing his design of the ring. I cannot wait to wear. Thank you sir!
