We went to the store after confirming the availability of the new Apple Watches at the store over phone. But, the staff at the store summarily declared out of stock of the new Apple watches. When we pushed citing our phone conversation just a few hours back, staff reluctantly checked the system and admitted to the availability of the new watches.We couldnt understand why they were turning the business away that was walking into their store. Could be arrogance or fatigue, we do not know, but neither of bodes well for Apple Retail.We did buy the watch from the store, but after initial unpleasant conversations, which left a sour taste in us.

I came into the store to purchase a computer. They told me that I need to schedule a time to meet with someone online. I only had a few questions regarding buying a computer, but they insisted that nobody can help me today and that the earliest was tomorrow. The host mentioned that I can purchase the computer online. So I did. however, because there was nobody to talk to regarding the computer, I accidentally purchased a computer with the wrong port primarily because there was no customer service in the store. 2 weeks later, I returned to the store with my new computer that was shipped to understand why I received a computer without the ports that I ordered. They explained that it was a miscommunication on my part in not understanding the various ports that are available. I didnt realize that the 3 and 3.0 ports are not the same thing. I explained to them the entire situation about purchasing this computer and the frustrations that I encountered along the way. The manager just said that you can return the computer or purchase the $20 conversion cable. Honestly, thats what frustrated me the most! Of course, I needed the computer. After spending $2,300, I would think that Apple would have the decency to offer a cable as a small gesture for being a loyal customer for over 20 years! This cavalier manager couldve cared less. In the end she said, We treat everyone equally. Thats correct, equally with No Respect. And definitely no compassion for their loyal customers! This manager has a lot to learn about customer service. This experience was very disappointing. Unfortunately, I dont think that Apple really cares about their customers. Shame on you Apple!

Last Friday at 4 pm, I attempted to make an appointment at the store front; however the short lady in large blue was totally unApple!!! She robotically scheduled my appt for 6 pm ref#ci8y6j3t8B. I walked into the store and the specialists were standing without customers!!! So, I went to talk to two of them asking if I could get some help since they weren’t busy, and that the little appointment lady wouldn’t cooperate. The cool young man with red hair and long golden chain stated to warm up and sweat as if he was offended because I told him he wasn’t busy. Quickly, a young lady, Hala, stepped in and said I can help you. Totally Apple approach, Hala! Thank you for your guidance and expertise, Hala. I ended up spending over $2,000 because of the amazing professional specialist, Hala. She took the traditional service approach and took the time to explain to me and my family what we need to know, while we were piling up the purchase. Apple is fortunate to have Hala at Northbrook Court. Congratulations!!! Highly recommend asking for Hala to receive the Apple service excellence.

Too many employees standing outside and none of them are welcoming, security guy took the temperature check to collect my order outside the store, they are not letting you inside for pick up orders. Overall experience is awkwardI feel like they don’t need so many staff standing outside chitchatting with themselves, doesn’t know what customer service isI will prefer delivery next time rather going to this location.

My iphone 11 pro just felt on the swimming pool and completely dead.. i just bought this phone because of your ad, you guys mentioned its water resistance upto 30 min. but for me its only freaking 4 min. then i went to apple store at northbrook they told me i have to pay $600 for another iphone.. they told me to call AT&T. AT&T asking me to pay the balance $630 for the dead phone. then they can give me another phone. So now my question is, why i have to pay $1230 for a new phone when you guys advertise that its water resistance upto 30 min...

I went yesterday... why are Apple stores still requiring masks for those fully vaccinated? I went to the line and an employee asked what I came for. I told her I already spoke with an agent on the phone who told me what to buy. One minute later, a security guard came up to me asking why I was there.What kind of business runs this way? There were only 3 people in line.Finally, I was given what I was told to buy, only to come home and see that it was incorrect. On the phone I told the agent I needed a thunderbolt to HDMI, and he said to grab the usb-c to hdmi, which I understood was the same thing because he interchanged it with that.So my time was wasted as a result and now I have to go back to return my purchase.

My phone was water damaged. I called apple (I do have apple care) and they told me it would be faster to go into the store and have my phone replaced. I made an appointment which was 6 day later. The technician spoke to me like a child. I remained polite throughout and accepted when he gave me two options. The phone would be replaced under my coverage for a fee of $99 but he would still send my phone in and it would take 3 weeks to get a new one. The second option was to call apple and do it over the phone which would take 3 days and they would place a hold on my credit card for the full amount of the phone until I returned the damaged one. This is what I was trying to avoid. I went with the first option and called apple from home. The person who helped me (Mike) was very nice and he told me that he worked at a store previously and the policy was to replace a water damaged phone at time of appointment in store. I dont think Jordan at Northbrook wanted to help or may not know the policy. As a result, I have now been without my phone for 8 days and it will be another 3 days before I get the replacement and then will need to send the damaged phone back.

We came to this store on 05/18/21 to exchange our AirPods Pro for AirPods Pro Max. We initially purchased 3 phones and AirPods Pro on April 27. After that my husband went on the business trip with his AirPods Pro and realized that even though it’s wonderful product the AirPods Pro Max will be better option for him. Since he came back after the Apple return and exchange policy has expired we had to call the store and asked if we still can be able to exchange them. The store employee suggested us to schedule and appointment and it will be up to a store manager to decide whether we still can exchange the AirPods Pro. So we did as suggested. So we not only exchanged them without the problem. Jasmine who helped us with the process was wonderful. Courteous, friendly and patient. She went above and beyond to made our experience at this location completely satisfactory and pleasant. Northbrook is our favorite location of Apple store. We are always happy with service there. And to be honest with new policy of scheduling an appointment to shop it’s even more convenient and less crowded in there. Thank you guys for wonderful experience.

After making an appointment Sunday, I go in Tuesday to try and get my battery replaced on my iPhone. I was there before 6pm so they would have had 1 hour to change a simple battery...instead the manager said no. No actual reason was given (does battery replacement take all day?!). Avoid this location at all costs. I lost about 1 hour in total and now I have to go to a different store to get the battery replaced. The manager was a short jerk with 0 customer service skills. Im embarrassed for him actually. I couldnt even enter the store. Time was 6pm 3/23/21.

Howard, Steve and Cynthia did a phenomenal job helping me get in and out quickly without and appointment! I was able to resolve my issue and felt 100% supported! The only thing I would suggest is a reminder regarding secure apps... I’m having a hard time getting access to some of my accounts logging into work apps but I should have my information in a secure location to access not their fault I wasn’t prepared... just maybe remind customers about that. Thanks again!!!

*NO STARS*Was transferred to this store location from an Apple Rep about speaking with a store associate about purchasing an Apple Watch series 6 Nike edition watch and that purchase could never happen because whoever was assigned to work the phones this day 06/06/21 at 3pm choose to answer then hang up in my face after being on hold for 15 minutes. The person said nothing, picked up the phone, and placed it back on the receiver. As a result I will not be purchasing my $530.16 watch AT ALL. So thanks to whoever hung up that phone, you just missed a sale! 😊

Just had a terrible experience with the manager at this location. I normally go to the Deer Park location and never had an issue.Last night I ordered the apple wallet for my iPhone 12. I went in with my order number from the email they sent me. They asked for a picture ID but I didn’t have one with me. The manager refused to deliver the product I paid for to me.I could have walked in off the street and used Apple Pay on my phone which is linked to my Apple Card and they wouldn’t ask for an ID.There were probably several different solutions this manager could have requested to prove I was me! With millions of people out of work this guy should be one of them! If he worked for me I’d fire him on the spot!

I went with my son to look at iPhone12 and was discriminated by a pathetic tattoo guy who claimed to be supervisor and is Blaine. Then another guy Michael Page who is production manager claimed to be supervisor threw me out of store through security as I told them they are harassing and are not letting my son look at the iphone . As a moral obligation since they will go to hell I have notified higher authorities and will find more layers to get this discrimination be known.

I came in for a shopping appointment to look at Apple Watch. I told the rep that I already looked at the information available online, and wanted to look at the watches live. The rep was generally uninterested in helping me, when I asked him to show me available colors, he said I had to narrow it down to what I was interested in and then he would show me! The watches of all colors were right there in the pull out tray, all he had to do was to open the drawer. I even told him that I won’t touch them (given COVID etc), that just wanted to see. He did not bother showing me the actual watch functionality. I was comparing models 6 and SE, and when I was asking him about battery life and charge time, he gave information nation about his SE, but said he did not know about model 6 because he personally did not have model 6. He just sort of stood there waiting for me to leave. Did not ask me questions about what was important to me, did not try to help choose the right set of options. Hugely disappointing, since I have been wanting to look at the watches for several weeks, but with the need to schedule a shopping appointment in advance, it was hard to find the time to come in. This experience probably cost Apple my purchase, but the store rep did not seem concerned.

I ordered iPhone 12 pro Max. and 3 iPhone 12 pro. Max in Michigan they tell me I can go to University Park in SouthBend Indian. It took me 2 hours to get there and when I get there my iPhone is not avail Le because something hold up with my order. After we settle everything she told me there is one available in North Brook mall in Chicago. It took me another 2 hours drive to get here and I don’t have confirmation order yet. I call apple service and online with them for over 90 mins and still having got my confirmation yet. They said something wrong with the process with my order. Now I have to wait till the mall close which is 8:00pm for the confirmation # that another fu$k 4 hours off waiting and another 4 hours off driving back. This is the worst experience off buy a phone I have ever been through. If this keep on happening it will lose a tons of customers.

Rude security guy stopped me from giving this store 5 stars. Ive never been to this location so I was a bit distracted looking around for it. As I see these line dividers in front of a store I realize it was Apple. I stop at the divider to get my phone out of my purse and I hear “Hey, hey, come over here!” I look up and I see this mad looking guy wearing a black shirt talking to me. I had no clue he was security so I’m looking at him totally confused. He then says very rudely “come with me!” I ask him for what? I seriously didn’t know what was happening. He rudely asks me if I had an appointment with Apple, and I respond yes. He wants me to walk with him over by this sign which was facing the complete opposite of where I walked in. He tells me he needs to take my temperature. I lift my baseball cap up and I’m looking at him like “Seriously dude?” He couldn’t take my temperature when I stopped by the line divider where he walked up to me? No one was even in line! He asks me while taking my temperature “Are you ok?” in a condescending tone. I was having a great day and as much as I wanted to lose my cool I decided he wasn’t worth it. I told the lady who checked me in that their security guy is rude but she didn’t seem to care. She responded “they’re just making sure we’re safe.” Safe from COVID? I was the only one in line! After that ridiculous experience every single person in the store treated me good and were extremely helpful. They fixed my phone within an hour - thank you!10/12/20 (arrived at approximately 4:50 PM). Although I didn’t catch the security guards name he wears glasses and has tattoos on his left forearm. Please get him some additional training.

Weve just visited this store and cant be this bad. The keyboard cover came off, and even though it was during the Quarantine period, I couldnt wait any longer, so I made a reservation. But she stood with an angry face woman said, We cant cover the keyboard.” She did without looking into my laptop from the beginning. My husband said that the cover had come off not long after he bought it, but she didnt seem to listen to us very well. There was no detailed explanation of how long the warranty was left and when it had passed. Its so rude and upsetting. My husband is looking for a computer now and he wont buy an apple. I dont think Ill ever buy an apple again. I regret buying an Apple laptop. I cant believe the keyboard cover came off in less than a year.

I went with appointment because of an iPhone mic issue. The support guy took his time and did a wonderful job and fixed it. The reason is there is some dust in the mic. A tip when you want to clean your phone mic its free even if you run out of warranty.

If the other manager didn’t step in for Pauline (the second store manager) she would have lost a $3k sale. We ordered a Mac Book Pro and the store was having problems with their system processing in-store pick-ups. We asked Pauline for help and she gave so much attitude and no help besides to get a refund or wait. Her delivery was very tacky and rude. She didn’t care if we got the product or not nor did she take the time to explain what’s going on with our order. The main manager stepped in an gave a full detail reasoning of what’s going on and how he could help. I would not recommend Pauline stay the store manager with her lack of customer care and service.

The mall is a nice hot spot and the Apple store here is no different. The store, like any other Apple store, is well stocked, clean, and mostly pleasant. On a good day it’s an in and and out situation. On a busy day like Friday, Saturday, or Sunday - it can be hectic. Recommend scheduling and appointment prior to your visit and on during Mon-Thur if possible.

It’s a pretty good apple store, my visit was pretty fast and we were set up with a representative within 5 mins of reaching the store, he explained all the new features that were introduced to the new phone compared to the old one I had. The only thing that took a while was setting up the phone and moving the apps and data I had in my previous phone onto the new one, but I can’t really blame them for that. Overall I had a pretty good experience here.

Embarrassingly bad customer service, especially in 2020. Since this store is not staffed up with technicians and is not doing in-store repairs due to COVID, they are instead shipping them to offsite facilities. One month ago, my computer needed to be shipped out for a simple battery replacement, and the computer sat around in the Apple Store for days before they bothered to ship it out. Many weeks later the product came back to me, broken, and they charged me anyway. Now I have sent it out for repair once again, and a week later, it is still sitting in the store, according to the online repair status page. Today, I tried calling the store twice, and I was never able to get through. The complete negligence and lack of respect at this location concerns me deeply and undermines my faith in Apple’s customer service. I have not had a functioning computer in 5 weeks.

Ive always found Apple Store to be extremely busy however, whatever the electronic problem is they find a solution. Its a great service, from start to end. No matter how busy the place seems to be, Ive always been greeted at the door, and you get fitted into the schedule. Its always a wait, but I dont mind the weight (could be an hour or more). This is what happens when you dont schedule an appointment before getting there.

My phone had to be wiped which sucked, but was no fault of the staff. I had an appointment at the Genius Bar and when I arrived, I thought the employees were very friendly and welcoming. The associate that helped me was extremely knowledgeable and my repair was done within an hour. The one thing I think they could work on is time management.My appointment was at 1:30 and I didnt sit down with someone until about 1:45.Usually I dont mind waiting but I was on the clock.Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely go back.

I am having an issue transferring apps from an old phone to the new phone purchased on Monday evening. I called the number on the receipt and thought I would be able to talk to a person at the store right away, however, it took me 40 minutes to get connected with a lady, probably the at home apple support person, who is not very helpful or knowledgeable. She even provided me the wrong info that me my old phone was on the way to Indiana. (Its actually not after I found out.) Then she put me on hold while trying to figure out the issue with the store. Finally, she gave up and transferred me to the store. And then, I was transferred again to the genius admin who has the info I need and was able to assist me. I found out that my old phone is still at the store. Terrible experience with Apple Support. Its way too difficult to get hold of someone who knows the right answer. The store is nice and the genius who sold me the product is friendly. I had to repeat the same info to three different person. Apples customer service (at least phone support) definitely needs to be improved. Please hire more support person to handle the high volume of inquires.

Ive visited this location multiple times and the majority of my experiences have been pleasant. Ive mostly gone after making an appointment online with the genius bar. I wish the wait times when you go in with an appointment was shorter. Longer wait times are understandable if youre just walking in. Nevertheless staff has always been super helpful.

We waited for over an hour for our appointment. We were sitting in the waiting area for about 55 minutes and NOBODY came up to ask us if we had been helped even though we already checked in with someone 10 minutes before our appointment. Finally we went to somebody and they said that they just skipped us somehow. Regardless of the reason, someone should’ve come up to us in the 55 minutes that we were sitting in the waiting area waiting for anyone to help us. A very poor experience and I will not be coming to this location again.

I was disappointed how I wasted time here as well. I signed up for an appointment and went in when it was around time for my appointment. And I hear that it fluctuated so much that I still had to wait for an hour and a half. And the store clerk told me without being apologetic at all as if it was nothing. I think wait time is way too long.

I realize people have had both good and not so good experiences here at the Northbrook store. Thats life. But Ive found that what you bring to the party has a lot to do with how the party turns out. I found the people I interacted with to be intelligent, friendly and helpful. Remember, we all have good days and bad days.

Very poor experience. Apparently there’s no one available to make a purchase. Guess they don’t want customers. Employee Jamie had said all managers were unavailable couldn’t even offer anything to improve the experience. Other customers were able to get their items and I was left waiting for almost half an hour after I already waited an hour and a half. It was a very frustrating experience and I think I’ll be switching to a different phone brand because of this.

I find Apple stores to be a joke and a straight rip off, but the guy running the creative drawing course for treehouse designs was awesome. That made my trip there with my fiance actually worth it.
