Spent a day here. Wonderful service. Bought some nutritional supplements, salad from the hot bar (shrimp Gumbo) some water and a delightful cup of coffee which a lovely woman in front of me paid for inexplicably. Saw the sun go down over the parking lot. I have to hand it to to these Northbrook residents. They really know how to live. But remember: most of them are scam artists
Has a little bit of everything from all over the world. We just stopped to grab some water but was pleasantly surprised and bought many different things to try.
This place is very basic no bells and whistles. It is always clean and they have everything at a good price. The fresh fruit and vegetable selection is like being at a farmers market.
Beautiful store and nicely laid out. I asked an employee the location of some drinks I was looking for and instead of the Its in aisle 3 answer you commonly get, the associate stopped what he was doing and led me to the spot where the items were located. I am impressed with the culture of customer service. Bravo! Other grocery stores should take notice and follow Whole Foods lead.
We go to This store often. Even when its busy the check out lines move very quickly. They seem to get more healthy options all the time and the prices are very good on most items
Very nice and clean store. Great prices and good selection of produce and other stuff. Love their organic coffee and fark chocolate.
Everyone I have met here has been just wonderful. The store is also well arranged and the location is wonderful. I have to refer my friends to this place!
Product quality is excellent, there is a large selection, and the restaurant is a pleasant location to dine. It offers a pleasant and well-kept family restroom.
I enjoy shopping at this location. Never too crazy busy. I enjoy how clean they keep this location and the people working there are pretty sweet as well. The only downfall is, they might have one person working the deli and youll have to wait a bit.
Its spotless and well-organized. Excellent value for money. I adore this location.
Wonderful shopping experience. Is well organized and clean. Aisles are a good size and easy to maneuver through the store.
Still great. love the remodel. I know it was done awhile ago but I havent posted since.
The store is lovely.... The place was spotless, and the food was delicious!!! You did an excellent job!
I live a mile from This store and shop often. So convenient and great prices. A few things I dont buy here, bread products in particular as it tends to be soft but so dry it crumbles, but most things are spot on.
We love to go and see what new items are the store. very Friendly! Dont forget your quarter for the cart. When you leave you get the quarter back!
Its like a cross between Whole Foods and Market Basket; everything is premium and organic, and its well-organized.
Whole Foods had let go most of their people working at the register. One register was open with lots of people and the self checkouts had a long wait as well. But the rest of the store was empty. And they stopped selling the products I used to got to Whole Foods for. Whole Foods is now an expensive Aldi. I left my cart there and went to Tonys Fresh Market where I got great service and plenty of checkout lanes with real people. Not going back to Whole Foods anymore. I am very sad what Amazon did to this former great store.
Love this place! Very good selection of products and the place is very clean and well-ordered.
Will in the bakery gets the award for employee of the day! He was so accommodating and patient with us as we ordered our bridal shower cake. I wish all employees were as wonderful as he was!!!
The prices are good and the staff is kind. Highly recommend!
This store is large and attractive. Im looking forward to my next visit.
This market is an excellent community based business that has served the area well in good times and in bad. The staff is always attentive and helpful, the products are great and reasonably priced and it is always clean and organized.
Really like this particular store.Very nice customer service.
This is a fantastic supermarket. This supermarket offers a wide selection of foods to choose from.
A well-stocked shop with many exquisite and stylish items.
The deli is amazing as well as their meat market. I wanted to eat everything there.
Best store ever!So nice since its been remodeled
Its a terrific location to shop, and the employees are all extremely nice.
Staff is great here. Selection of food is great here. I like this spot.
I have a few things to say about this store. I gave it one star not because of the store itself, but because of the people who are in charge of running it. I love shopping at Whole Foods, but I dislike how this particular store (from what I have observed) handles business. The Whole Foods Market in Northbrook has to be one of the most uptight north-shore grocery stores I have ever seen. Since I do work in the area where this market is located, I have the pleasure of being able to see the managers turn away individuals who come to provide entertainment. While they do have the right to make them leave, why is it so unwanted to have free entertainment that many shoppers, and other customers in the area actually enjoy? I have heard TONS of people talk about how nice the music is. These talented violinists usually set up on one of the medians outside of the store. This can be “dangerous” yes, with liability if someone gets injured in the parking lot. So Whole Foods, let me ask you, why do you turn away free and entertaining musicians, instead of asking them to move onto, lets say the sidewalk, where they are out of harms way, and still able to entertain guests?? It makes no sense to me why these managers have such large sticks up their butts. Its absolutely ridiculous. I have observed in the last week alone, about three different times that these players are being asked to leave. The most recent time it only took about three minutes for a manager to come storming out on the phone with the police yelling at a woman to leave. While the store is nice to shop at, their values and treatment of others tells a totally different story. They may sell nice things, but these employees and employers need to take the stick out and look at it as something that people in this area enjoy. Next time, why dont you instead of calling the police on these people, say, “Can you move your setup onto the sidewalk and out of the parking lot traffic?”. But since these are prissy north shore managers, I doubt that would happen.
Always love this store . Good products, good prices and often extra finds!
Very clean well stocked& prices in full view curteous staff.
Cleanliness and friendliness of the workers, as well as clear labeling and easy navigation.
Very spacious. Very clean. Good prices
I love the prices people are always nice and they always have what I need.
Speedy checkout, great prices, quality of produce and meat always looks fresh. Clean store
Excellent location with a large choices. If youre unfamiliar with their stores, it can be confusing at first.
Great prices & helpful, friendly workers.
A bit older WF, but still a good WF. The parking can be tight during peak hours.
Employees go out of their way to assist in the search for things, even custom-cut meat if required.
Looking bare. And a terrible selection of whole grains.
Never enough Cashier on time, but they work pretty fast when the line gets long
Decent food, with okay prices
FAVORITE GROCERY STORE OF ALL TIME. I COME HERE LIKE EVERY 4 DAYS.
The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional.
Great selection. 1st build your own salad bar Ive been to in over a year. Very sanitary.
Always have what I am looking for
The store just keeps getting better and better adding more gluten-free items by the day
I had an encounter with a very rude staff member. It was a woman near the produce department who had an attitude with me. This was the only time in my life that I left my cart with its groceries and simply walked out. I will never return to this location after that.
I stopped by the floral department today and it looks so amazing I had to pick up flowers for a party I was hosting there was a big round table full of beautiful flowers ! Thank you!
Bakery has fresh cookies. Helpful worker in the hygiene section. The Only thing that sucked was the self checkout helper she was rude.
Went here for Amazon return. Quick and easy return process and refund processed same day
The store was nice and clean.
I LOVE THIS STORE !!!! Best beefiest ribs EVER!
I walk in to store to shop. I grab a cart. Im stopped before I touch it. Let me sanitize that for you a young women said. I shopped and as I checked out I was stopped again. Let me sanitize the pin pad for you. Random guy walking by..... I love it. Thank you. For making me feel safe and valued. Yea young women. And random guy with sprayer!!!###
Exceptional customer service. The Manager is so nice and very helpful. He offers to get the items I am searching for and actually does that. Thanks to Bob and his staff who have some of the best customer service skills I have ever encountered.
I came to do my Amazon return and their costumer service is used just like another register so line is huge lol 😆 not something I expected from a big store like this
Service was friendly and helpful. I know it doesnt help the employees there but a self check out would be nice for busier times of the year. Best meats in the area though!
Good store but so big it is difficult finding what you want so I ended up with things I had no intention of getting and could NOT find the item I was looking for, so will have to go another store. Prices too high even with Prime membership and service was non-existent!
Nice place for shopping
Clean and VERY organized!
Very patient friendly staff! I incorrectly thought I was mischarged for Prime Deal item. The person who answered my phone call very patiently explained how the pricing was shown on my receipt - she was right. I appreciate the one-way aisles and the friendly staff in every department. Great Store!
This used to be the best place to get quality groceries. I love fresh fruit and vegetables. And whole foods was the only place I could get great fruit and veggies all year round. But, in the last 6 months or has been a steady race to the bottom. I wont even but their fresh squeezed OJ now because it is so bad. It is yellowish from using unripe oranges. The blueberries and raspberries are still good. But they are just as good at Jewel, so why bother. I only go here now to get a few specialty items. I dont know if Amazon changed it, or if something else is going on, but the quality of the fruit and seafood has plummeted.
Someone has to say something. Since it was purchased by Amazon the quality definitely went down.No longer we can find the organic rare brands that we used to find on the shelves. Instead they got Cheriose... Honey Nut Cheriose in your local whole foods. Not whole and doubtedly food. Also when you carry the same items as in Walmart then make sure to have the same price and not 30% more expansive .So did whole foods went down in quality or did Walmart got better? I dont know but I know who is cheaper and who is not trying to push expensive upsale in my face.
People who work there were very helpful! Also they have gf truffle mac and cheese bites that are REALLY good.
Nice, clean and kind
Healthy food and holistic supplements.
This is definitely the cleanest Whole Foods in the North Shore. They always have the salad bar clean and sandwiches are always fresh. The produce is always in perfect order And they always have really fresh coffee beans ground up
I go shopping here once a month
When I lived in the city I had a Whole Foods next to me so I’d go there all the time. They had the best flowers and you could even ask for them to create a bouquet for you. Now that I live in the burbs I don’t go as often (Mariano’s is my preference). The flower section here was not quite on par with what I had in the city. Not terrible, but not great. The rest of the store was kind of as expected, which is good.
Im bias. I work here.
Food is great but the service and its employees are the worst. They need to treat customers with respect and not bring their personal problems with them. Also they are mask bullies.
Buyer beware of what you are getting in their ground beef labeled 85%. It comes in from a vendor and they grind it up. Who knows what is in it because it is a big secret. Trimmings they say and it doesn’t taste good.If they were a high end grocery store they would have a 100% ground chuck option available so you would not have to purchase their crummy 85% secret ingredient ground beef. I don’t want a mix of different beef I want 100% chuck roast ground beef.Whole food grind up your chuck roasts and sell them as real ground chuck and give your customers a better option. I realize since amazon took over they have not catered to the customer. Sunset Foods sells 100% ground chuck.
YOU MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT YOU. I am hearing impaired and I hate talking on the phone. Plus you have to wait on hold and waste your minutes. I went to your help pages and its a labyrinth of stuff to go through. You only want to APPEAR as you care but you wouldnt make it so hard to get help if you really cared. I was robbed by your store and that is a fact.I went there on aug 1st and was robbed. The two young cashiers kept pretending they didnt know how to charge an ebt card. They kept asking me to slide my card because they claimed it got denied, I was sliding my card and entering my code about 10 or 11 times, I finally said NO! the last time and left my groceries and left the store extremely upset. When I got home and logged into my ebt account 3 large charges went through and my card was cleaned out. I had NO FOOD AND NO MONEY LEFT for the whole month. I will not ever recommend this location to anyone, they knew I didnt take my food, but they kept the money THIEVES!!!
Nice store. Well staffed
Love the store and products..just dont have enough help and open registers.
Excellent place to get food when in a rush. Their service is speedy, pricing is reasonable, awesome vibes. Highly recommended.
Expensive food you can brag to your friends about buying
This a great store. The prices are mid range but the experience is better than walmart or jewel. If you are tired of the same old shopping experience of the popular chain stores than this is the store for you. You find wares not seen at other chains. The staff seems to actually enjoy their jobs to.
Good selection
Whole Foods has terrific fresh vegetables, and organic selections in almost every product you buy. Its my go-to place for more and more products over time.
I love the idea that you can get really clean produce and all types of foods at Whole Foods but ever since Amazon got them it seems like they have less of the good stuff they’re known for. They even discontinued the Sicilian almonds which are pure organic and raw compared to the American version which aren’t 100% organic and raw but are pasteurized by a gas chemical that can be dangerous to some people. It would be easier to buy these in store as before instead of now having to order them online. If I’m paying top dollar stick to your purpose of trying to get us the best quality everything while still having lesser quality’s available.
Witnessed several employees go into the Mens washroom with their aprons on (not-allowed) AND skip washing their hands. Super filthy. These folks could be stocking inventory or cooking meals, just awful.
One of my favorite stores..
Every cashier and self checkout had long lines. All the people in line had very full carts. I went to the customer service desk which I have done many times to check out if I have one or two things, and the lines are long... I stood at the customer desk holding up the one thing I needed to buy. I waited until between calls to ask the women with the long gray ponytail who was transferring calls if I could pay for this and she said no, go to self checkout, so I did, and waited... and waited and then as I waited I watched her ring up other customers who had a lot more than one thing to pay for. I went and said something after I was finally done, and she rudely said “oh I didn’t see you only had one thing” which is impossible because it was all I was holding... she was just being rude.
Love their deli
Good selection, helpful staff
Great for oedering.
They do not allow cash on cashier.they want to kill cash money making pandemic a good reason.not going there anymore
Unlike at most other locations I have been to, a some shelves are out of fresh stock. There also does not appear to be as many things in choice here. When it comes to shelves that have stock on them however, the quality is still great. There may not be as many people working here as we would like to see, but the organics still remain the highlight of this place since everything here is still organic. That is what whole foods is for anyway. After all, this place is not actually good, but it is absolutely NOT bad at all. This is a reasonable place to shop at.
The Hot & Cold salad bars are outstanding, especially when you want a quick good meal without waiting. Large store, well lit and clean. Nice indoor and outdoor dining areas. Plenty of parking. Nice selection of specialty type foods. The specialty cheese shop has an overwhelming selection. The to-go sushi is awesome.
Staples are low low prices.
We travel from Wisconsin to shop here. Worth the drive!
Good selections of fruits and vegetables.
Lots of interesting and different options. Super helpful and nice, makes shopping there a very pleasant. Very great prices!
Updated 8/1/2019Today, I talked to someone from the regional office. I was given a Whole Foods gift card for the amount of work that I was out of. The regional office will or has talked to the store management. Unfortunately, the store employee in question incorrectly gauged the situation and misgauged me. The regional office was in denial over that which I hope they get out of. Right now, I am only giving 3 stars because I want to wait and see if there are any fundamental changes here and to make sure that I dont have any further problems. I will shop here for the time being and see how things go. Whole Foods will have to work and show me that they are serious about being inclusive and to regain my trust. I will update this review down the road at some point.Updated on 7/12/2019I followed up with their website form for help. The national customer care person gave me the standard apology and forwarded my complaint to the regional customer care team who I never heard from. The national customer care team member followed up with me today saying that Whole Foods never heard back from me even though I never heard from anyone else at Whole Foods.Since my review, other people have gone into this location and have not had any issues with the employees or the store manager. I guess Whole Foods strict photo policy applies to disabled people. Also, I am out money because I wasnt allowed to finish my work at this location. I have been doing this kind of work for awhile and I have never had a problem at any other retailer before or since this incident.I am unable to tell anyone what the employee or the store manager was thinking but both of their decision making and thinking abilities are problematic. I dont know what they are hiding at this location but I am sure it cannot be good.So far, the effort put in by Whole Foods has been lackluster. This is a situation that can be easily dealt with if Whole Foods decides to deal with it. I had been shopping here for 8 years but I have gone elsewhere since I do not feel safe here. If Whole Foods wants to earn my business back, they will have to earn it back.I was here on Wednesday and got poor treatment from an employee and the store manager. Obviously, taking 4 photos on behalf of a vendor is a problem. The only problem that I see is that the store manager and employee have something to hide. All I have gotten from Whole Foods are generic apologies and we will look into it but I have NOT heard anything further about it. The store manager and this employee flunked big time because they have something to hide from vendors along with the fact that the store manager could have cared less about losing my business as a Whole Foods customer too. This definitely is not the way to be running a store, hence the store manager needs to go along with the employee.
I love Northbrook, very nice customer service. Cant say enough about Northbrook
