Bought 2 new bikes from them. Staff was excellent! Super nice, no issues. Salesman took extra items from us and installed them on the bikes while we waited.

Good selection of new bike and accessories. Previously had good experiences with a female associates when buying bike accessories. Went in to shop around for bike accessories and was at the counter with a rear rack when one of the male sales associates grabbed it out of my hand and told me that I did not have the correct bike to fit this rear rack. He informed me that the rack was for a Townie Electra and that I couldnt possibly have one. I left the store feeling defeated and a bit offended as this happened in front several customers. Great shop but some sales associates could definitely work on their attitude towards customers.

Jim was fantastic. I went in knowing nothing about cycling or bikes in general. I learned so much and was very satisfied with my purchase. Jim walked me through everything, spent well over an hour with me, and guided me through the entire purchase from the bike, shoes, a helmet, pedals, and a bike rack. He even called me the next day because I forgot to get the original pedals that came with the bike. He even guided me on picking a kick stand and water bottle holder which I would have never thought of. Excellent service and selection.

Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Andy did an awesome job in helping us select our new bikes and making sure we were comfortable. On my way home I melted the tire on my bike with the exhaust from my car. I called and Mitch went out of his way to check for a tire, tube, and rim band for me… then got me in and out quickly so I could ride. Bought all my BMX bikes here when I was a kid and after this recent experience I won’t go anywhere else for sales or service!

The store was very neatly laid out, and everything was easy to find. The staff couldnt have been more helpful, and knowledgeable, especially for a new rider getting into the MTB world. Even though I did a lot of research on what bike would fit me best before going in, I was still a bit nervous going into the store about a sport I am new to. However, the staff was super informative, they answered any other questions I might had have, and couldnt have been any nicer. I cant say enough good things about this store, and the staff and how helpful they were. Also thank you to Jim at Beacon for all the help with getting more comfortable with the MTB sport, and Ryan (I believe was his name, sorry bad with names!) who helped me with decided which bike was best for me, and taking it for a test ride.

Just moved to area, my bike fell broke a hanger on derailleur brought in to fix and tune bike up, fixed everything in 2 days. Everyone very helpful and friendly, great place with plenty of stock available

Beacon Cycling is awesome! The pandemic has created tidal waves of interest in biking, yet there are limited stores that sell and service bikes as a specialty. They are overwhelmed with demand. I was in need of a major tune-up for my 20 year old Trek bike. I brought the bike in to Beacon after having poor service at another place last summer. They told me it would take about 2-2.5 weeks (which was fine). Then they called me just 8 days later to tell me it was done. They did a terrific job. I felt my bike was in the hands of true professionals, who gave me a lot of information and got the job done earlier than I expected. I plan to get some of our other old bikes and bring them in over the next month so they can get a tune up as well.

Bought at least five bikes from Beacon over the years for my wife and I and the kids. Always quality bikes with friendly service. I highly recommend if you’re in the market for a good bike.

For many years I thought Beacon was too expensive. Well, theyre not. I was completely surprised when the service tech who ordered my bike wheel, quoted me the exact same price as I had, and I didnt have all of the headaches that come with ordering online. The employees at Beacon are exceptional. Mitch in service dept went above and beyond for me. Since there are no aluminum wheels to be found, anywhere, he spent much time trying to find one that best matches mine. He matched an alloy wheel perfectly to my aluminum. I am bicycling again, but safer than before. I recommend Beacon for service to everybody.PS:. Ask for Mitch.

I have always had a positive experience at Beacon. When I first moved to the area they helped me with my bicycle that had a problem with frequent flats. They also provided quality service on my mountain bike. (Neither of these bikes were purchased from Beacon.) Recently I purchased a Trek e-bike from Beacon. I am very happy with it and with the help and advice I was given. They provide quality service at a fair price, and they know what they are doing. They sell good quality stuff and I would recommend them for e-bikes because they are qualified to service what they sell. (Who knew that a bicycle could need a firmware update.) My experience with Beacon has been 100% positive.

Im 72 y/o and 65 tall. I went to Beacon cycling and was fitted to bike of my choice and am very satisfied with the product. I am looking forward to getting out in the drier weather to start my cycling with my wife.

Purchased my first bike at Beacon 17 years ago and she still rides great! I have passed her down to my son and now I purchase a brand new Electra townie that I absolutely love! Jim was very helpful with answering the many questions I had. Everyone there was friendly and service was fast!

Firstly, I dont even live in the state of New Jersey. Im from Georgia but I am a cyclist and am constantly in the hunt for Bike Shops that have there own Kits with their name on them. And Beacon had their own kit and I thought they looked great. Classic! and they were made by the iconic Cycling Apparel company Castelli. So in August 2020 I sent the shop an email inquiring as to whether they had the kit in Stock. and within a day I heard back from Susanna Rovins Co Owner of Beacon Cycling. And she told me that they had sold out of their kits but to connect back with her in November. And I of course forgot to do that.2 months later in January on my Birthday I remembered this Email reply from Susanna. So crossed my fingers that Beacon didnt sell out the kits given that these Shop Kits dont stay around for long. Luckily they had them. But the story actually begins this point. And crux of this story are the Rovins and the service they provided to me and the sheer expediency and Courtesy they gave me was beyond expectations. Heck they even threw in a pair of gloves and wished me a happy birthday. I can tell you that no shop in Atlanta is like that and I have been in every one of them.Love this shop. and for those that live in the vicinity of Beacon? Im pretty damn jealous

I am over the moon with my purchase from Beacon. When I arrived I had a long list of desires for a bike. Sasha took me through all of the bikes that fit my list. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I left with the perfect bike! They also installed my baby seat. The shop made custom parts to make sure my baby was safe and comfortable on the back of my new bike! They also tuned up an old cruiser of mine and it looks and rides like it is brand new! Ordered a bike online that was sold out everywhere else. Transaction was simple and the bike was waiting for us. They also adjusted the seat to fit my daughter perfectly.

Beacon was able to order an Electra Cruiser 1 and have it delivered when bicycle shops closer to me, near Mt. Laurel, couldnt. My family purchased bikes from Beacon when I was a kid, now Im purchasing from them again as an adult. Andy S. was helpful with the order, and Susanna R. made sure bike was adjusted correctly when I picked it up. The bike is great!

I purchased my first road bike there as well as my Mountain bike and I couldnt be happier. The entire process was very informative and the price was reasonable. The store is clean and well stocked with all the latest gear. I highly recommend Beacon to all my family and friends.

I ordered a bike for my daughter two months ago and was told it would be ready to be delivered in two weeks. Paid in full. The first time I called to follow up I was told in a dismissive manner that they would call me when it was ready. When I followed up again a week later I was told that they would call me back. I then received a call from the owner telling me that the bike I had paid for was inadvertently sold to another customer and that they could order another bike for us but that it would take another month. Having no other options I said okay. Today I called to follow up since I was supposed to have the bike last week and I was told the bike was on back order and they meant to call me to let me know but that the bike wouldn’t be available until October. At that point I just took a full refund. Needless to say I won’t be attempting to buy from this store again.

I purchased an Electra Townie 8i (has 8 gears built into the rear hub) in November of 2013. This bike is still working well (after 7 years) and I like it very much.

I ordered a bike off Amazon to be put together here and got no information as to when the bike would be put together. I called and was told it would be ready Saturday 6/13/2020. Saturday I called and they couldnt find my bike so I was suppose to get a call back. Few hours later I had to call again to see what was going on and ended up speaking to someone on the phone who was rude and said were busy and it doesnt help when people call cause they cant work on bikes.

Friendly service and professional / knowledgeable staff. I went in to change clips out on my shoes, and it was a snap! Or so they made it seem. No price was given as an estimate, which would have been nice, but it happened so quickly, you have to appreciate the fast service. The store was clean and roomy, a very comfortable environment.

Beacon is a first class bike shop. Scott was superb in helping us find the right bikes. He has a great knowledge of the products. The next day when we returned to pick up the bikes everyone was so helpful and kind. The gentleman who put together one of the bikes on the spot was terrific and even helped us mount the bikes on the rack.

During this Pandamic I took my bike to Beacon.Jeromy had two tires on my bike in no time and helped me put the bike in my car.Jeromy was the best!Now I can get some exercise in.Stay safe during this time in our life’s.

A large location with good inventory and a great shop. They are my local bike shop and do all of my servicing. Be sure also to visit the used section as they have some good selections there. I just bough one today for my 8 year old daughter for $159. Take a look inside the store with the 360° tour on Google.

I brought my bike in for help with assembly and the staff there was very ready to help. They were all very friendly and told me when the bike would be ready. They then called to tell me that there was an issue and that it would take one day for a new part to come in then told me the price for the part. They also fixed a dent in my frame without damaging anything and called, texted, and emailed me when my bike was ready. The prices weren’t too unbearable for what I got and I noticed the clothes and helmets in-store were all fairly priced to the quality they came in. Overall an amazing experience with beacon cycling.

I what to thank Scott for his help selecting and fitting my son for a new bike. My son has autism, he rides and competes with Sea Isle Islanders Special Olympics team, it can be hard for him to cooperate, Scott put him at ease which made the process very easy. Excellent customer service! Today I took my bike to Beacon for a Spring tune up. I was greeted at the door with a friendly smile & taken right over to the service department. Scott did a super job!!! My bike looks & rides like new. He also noticed that I live about 45 minutes away so he offered to do the job while I ran errands nearby. Im thankful that he saved me a trip back up next week.

My wife and I bought bikes several years ago. We get yearly tune ups and the service techs always advise us of any concerns. So honest and reliable. We are seniors and enjoy riding on the Ocean City Boardwalk. I’m returning to Beacon today for our yearly tune up. Usually do so in the spring, but getting the urge to ride again. They are very knowledgeable and sold us great bikes! Highly recommend!

Bought a bike there a few weeks ago, it was a great experience. Cody was awesome, no pressure. He was honest and very knowledgeable. I ended up buying an Electra, and I love it.The only thing that was strange is I got an email a couple of weeks later to bring the bike in for a free tune up. I rode it about 2 miles in 2 weeks, so I didnt need a tune up yet. How about you send those emails out 6 months or even a year later. That would be awesome.Having said all that, we are planning on coming in today to buy another bike for my wife.

Drove 90 minutes one-way to pick up a bike, only for them to wheel out a completely different bike, without having mine in stock.

This is by far the best bike shop around. The staff is courteous and professional, and the service is by far the best around. Ive been a customer for over five years now and I cannot say enough about this shop. They have a great selection of bicycles and equipment. The staff is comprised of people who do a lot of riding, so you know the advice you get is backed by a lot of experience. Finally, I will say that their bike fitting service is amazing. I did it a couple of years ago and can honestly say it was one of the best things I have ever done to improve my cycling. I love this shop!
