Im a visitor from the twin cities, first impressions is this is the cleanest store Ive been in. Product was professionally labeled and price correctly, coming to the end another register opened for us. Over all not bad for customer service in a small town :)

Great remodel on the store. Now if only the hot bar was actually stocked on a regular basis. You can visit coops in towns like St. Peter and Grand Marais that consistently have good food at their hot bar available throughout the day. Not in Northfield...for some unexplained reason they stop serving fresh food at 5pm...? I mean who wants dinner from a hot bar right? 🤔

Love co-ops. I found a package of 8 reusable make up removing cotton rounds. (4 smooth & 4 exfoliating).5 $ cheaper than an online site Ive been trying to order from but theyre always sold out. Score!

I used to enjoy shopping at Just Food, until the pandemic happened and management chose not to take the precautions they should be taking to protect their staff and customers. Obviously, they are not responsible for the pandemic, but they are responsible for how they implement safety measures in their store. Ive seen firsthand, many customers being allowed into the store with no masks on, even though they have a sign in front of the store that says they require masks. They do not enforce that requirement. I, myself, as well as MANY other customers do not feel comfortable shopping while there are others in the store without masks on. I know many of my friends who shop there will agree with me, as well as the staff who work on the sales floor. I find it very rude that the management doesnt seem to care at all about the comfortability, well-being, health, and safety of their staff members and their customers. It seems they only care about money. I know a couple of people who have actually attempted to bring this concern up with Sherri Meyers (GM), and she dismissed them, because she didnt care or didnt want to deal with it. There are plenty of other stores that actually enforce the wearing of masks, and Just Food should really follow those examples. For goodness sake, customers have the option to do the curbside shopping as well, which would mean they dont have to get out of their car. That is written on the sign in front of the store as well. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in how Sherri has dealt with these issues. Big thumbs down!

This place has a wonderful selection of food, and I found cool and surprising things, like duck eggs. Their meat and fish selection was good and seemed fairly priced. I also liked their produce selection and the staff were friendly and helpful with finding stuff.

How can l explain this cute grocery store? If you like Fresh Thyme and Trader Joes l would say the co-op is rolled into one. Different types of food which is nice. Like to try different items out. I have found another grocery store l like! Please go there, Im sure you will not be disappointed.

The atmosphere was extremely pleasing as all the employees were happy to help me. The pricing is a little on the high side but you’re definitely getting what you pay for with the wide selection of local and organic food. The checkout process was pretty quick and I found everything I needed. A great place to shop!

I thought it was overpriced for a Small Town Co-op

It is nice to have a coop in town but overall I have to say I am not very impressed with this store and their way of doing business. They have some of the rudest and unfriendliest staff working there that I have ever met.The prices are the highest of any coop in Minnesota and often the cheese and dairy produce has gone way past its prime.

Great selection. No need for me to go to multiple grocery stores after going here. They have everything I need for my family of 4! They have also started an order form online to pick up curb side during this time.

I may be looking through rose colored glasses since I am a member, but I feel Just Food Co-op is an amazing place to get real food. Great staff, local products. Nice bulk selection, and fresh produce. At Just Foods you could sit down with a friend and have coffee or a special sandwich and soup and enjoy the atmosphere. I should note there are only a couple of tables to sit. But you can easily get a wonderful take out lunch thats fresh and healthy. Theres a nice selection of spices, baked goods, dairy and meat. Check it out. You wont be disappointed.

Love the bulk section! Its definitely possible to make zero waste meals with the amount of bulk items they have. I do wish they had nut butters in bulk though. It seems like a lot of stores lack this these days.I just have to edit this and say, yay they have nut butters in bulk! Fresh peanut and almond butter for the win! :)

Its a smaller store but is impressive in selection, especially that of local foods. Customer service is excellent too.

Good prices on sale items. Sales were cheaper than big box stores. Good cheese selection. Love that they have so many local items. Happy to support local businesses and family farms. Wish they had more meat.

I love the Co-op. They have an awesome selection for the size of the store, would like to see an expansion of the hot/cold bars though! Would be a nice place to go for meals if there were a larger selection. Love the free membership for college students--accessibility is everything!

Just Foods has the prices on the best organic food in town. Period. If its on sale at Just Foods, you wont find it on Amazon or Thrive or ANY online site for cheaper (barring the rare manufacturers coupon). I shop here so often because I am supporting local growers, less carbon waste in food transport, fair trade companies, and good farming practices that enrich the soil. Their bulk section is truly an opus (and truly fresh, since so many use it!) Once a month they have 10% off their wellness products (supplements, herbal tinctures, etc) which is nice. Being a member at Just Foods, youre doing so much more than saving money: youre staking yourself into the community.

Cute little co-op with everything one would need. Would have like some larger fresh departments, but building.size does not permit. Enjoyed my shopping experience and would visit again. Thank you!

Excellent service and selection. If they dont have what you need theyre great at trying to find it. If youre a member or at one of most Co-ops you get a discount on special orders.

This place rocks. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Their section of goods is outstanding. They also have a hot bar for lunch that has never disappointed.

Great co-op. We buy all our veggies and fruit here because it is always the freshest. It may cost a little more, but you get better quality vegetables and fruit that are organic and last longer than what you can get at other grocery stores. Also their dairy section is at cost with other places or cheaper. You would think they would be more expensive, but they are not. You pay a little more for things, but the quality and nutritional content is just better. We shop here 50% of the time and at other grocery stores 50% of the time.

Always a pleasure, staff is friendly, store is clean. Food in deli is great. Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian food available.

Went here twice, great place, many options. Nice people. Many homefoods . I feel like it was hard to find stuff for a small place. But overall good atmosphere. I like the new chia pudding!

A great community resource! In addition to providing fresh, local food choices, the coop sponsors community events such as CSA day and farm tours, as well as providing a community meeting space for classes. Some things are a bit pricey, but I have gotten great deals on staples there in the past, as well as monthly deals on bulk foods.

This is one of the best co-ops in the area. They have a lot of local produce. The employees are friendly. Watch for their specials because you can get great grocery deals here.

We buy all our spices when we come into town. Way cheaper than stores. Spices are very fresh!! They provide small baggies to put your spices in.

Changed my life, and that of many Northfielders, when Just Food opened up. Ive belonged to a few different co-ops in my life and while it isnt THE BEST CO-OP OF ALL TIME its still quite good and an important community asset.

Id give it 5 stars of it werent for the staff member in the back corner with the oils and beauty supplies. Several times Ive gone in looking for certain products that I end up finding, but shes clueless as to what they are. She a lacks customer service attitude; becomes very rude and defensive when toy begin asking questions. Thats my cue that she doesnt know what Im asking. I love shopping the produce! I buy grains and a few other refrigerated items there as well with great satisfaction. Sadly since Jesse started working the essential oils and beauty/health section, I shop elsewhere.

Was a great experience picking up some lunch items passing through town. It says a lot for the people of Northfield and the community having such a refreshing coop in town. Been open for 10 years so its working. Keep up the good work and friendly smiles.

I start my day here every morning with a hot coffee. The staff here is wonderful, and selection of deli food items is excellent!

Did not have things I went there for. It is continually products they used to have but Dont anymore. It was products Not found anywhere else in or around Northfield. Sad. They should gather data on this at the register to take advantage of their competitive niche.

A cute small town co-op! When I lived in Northfield I frequented it with occasional trips up to Valley Natural in Burnsville (much larger). Pleasant environment.

As the other reviewer stated- Just Foods does have the best produce in town. Plus they have many things that I used to drive into the city for. I was surprised that when I looked closely at the prices between Just Foods and other local big chain grocery store that many things are priced lower at Just Foods.Take a look for yourself.

I hit just food 5-6 times a week for milk and eggs. Produce is great in the wintertime. Meat dept needs a bigger case.

Great produce, kind workers, and reasonable prices for the quality you get.

Sometimes a bit pricey, but certainly worth it for specialty items. Some specialty items (tofu etc) are even less expensive at Just Food than at Econofoods. On the other hand, buying exclusively from here would be a bit spendy.

I have loved Just Food Co-op since its inception. Together we have created However, as a member, I am dismayed to learn that the mood between workers and management is so difficulthigh due to employees are to unionize.

Expensive--excessively so for some items--but if you can afford it, Just Food does have the best produce and meats in town. And to be fair, their prices on some items are competitive with the big groceries.

It is sort of small, but excellent store!
