Very helpful. Took the time to help me find a discontinued product. Even the dealership couldnt get the part
Customer service need improvement. I didnt feel welcome there.
We were traveling cross-country, and stopped in Northport to visit our son & daughter-in-law for a day - we lost our u-joints, and took it to Bells - they got it fixed and got us on our way by mid-afternoon - they treated us well & the price was great - thank you, Bell Auto for taking care of us!
WARNING! WARNING! WARNINGWe took our car for what they told us it was only a valve cover issue. After an hour my son drove it 50 yards and the car stopped. They then told us the engine had burnt up. They told my husband that it would only be 30 days to get the engine. 9 months later after lots of patience from my husband we had it taken to another mechanic. We were told by the new mechanic that our car was being used for parts to fix other cars apparently there was parts missing. It was also wrecked on the bumper while it was sitting on their lot from other cars being moved around mine . They lied about what was wrong with our car and they messed it up however; the new mechanic found that it was never the engine . They didn’t properly put a part back the way it was supposed to be. They lied and the stole and I would not recommend this place . I heard from the new mechanic that this is their reputation that they take parts from your car and use them for others to make money. They are not trustworthy AT ALL !!!
To all the negative people you realize this is a machine shop they rebuild things and the time frame is longer because they go more in depth than a regular auto tech
TOTALLY RUDE GETS AN ATTITUDE AND HANGS UP ON THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! WHO DOES THAT NEVER USING THIS SHOP EVER!!!!
I am originally from Tuscaloosa, but now live in Nashville. I save my routine maintenance for times when I will be in Tuscaloosa because I trust Bell more than anyone else. The folks at Bell do a great job and its worth the drive for me. I have had Bell work on both my Mercedes and BMW. My Mercedes was having all kinds of electrical issues and Jr. found the issues, explained the issues to me clearly, and fixed the issues quickly. The price compared to a national chain mechanics and the dealership is a steal. My entire family takes their cars to the folks down at Bell. I would highly recommend taking your car European or not to Bell.
Very rude & unprofessional.
If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I have just experienced the worst service. I am having issues with my transmission and find this place through google and someone I know saying theyd had work done here before. As directed by their website I call 24 hours in advance to book an appointment. Im told just bring it by in the morning, they let me drop it off early. At 7:30 AM I call to let them know I dropped it off and where the key is. No one asks my name, just confirms my number. I ask, do you want to know my issue? Oh yeah sure is the response (I had told the person the day before, but wasnt sure if I needed to again) I explain that I just got the car and noticed some issues, took it to a Toyota delearship who did a road test said it was the transmission and it probably needed to be replaced. Since Im now stuck with the car I am needing to know how bad this is, if a transmission fluid change would help since I noticed it was brown or if I need a transmission. Well take care of it, Ill call you in a couple of hours. 10:30 AM- call to get and update, told that the guy who answered doesnt know anything other than they did diagnostics on it and the guy just went to work on 1 more thing for it and I should get a call shortly. 12:45 PM- I callback due to not getting a call. Was told that everyone was in lunch, was asked what was wrong with it anways, explained same story, told it probably wasnt the transmission since its a 2010 and someone would call me shortly. 3:30 PM- still no call. I call and ask about the car since they close in 1.5 hours, finally get transferred to Mike Jr. I tell him Im just looking for update on my car. Immediately Im hit with a rude, condescending attitude. Lady there aint nothing wrong with the transmission, what youre hearing is Street noise, you have bad tires Due to this simplistic answer I ask what did you do all day with my car then? Why is this something that took until 3:30 PM to tell me, with the customer having to follow up? Had I been updated this would not have been a questioned asked. I get met with a wrath of ugliness from Mike along with him telling me hes working on over 100 other cars. I then proceed to explain that I know this is not Street noise, I reintrated why I brought my car there and questioned what was done to test as he couldnt duplicate the issue. Ill call you back in 20 minutes Im told and was. Mike Jr. then proceeds to be even more snarky and says that it isnt my transmission its the torque converter and if I looked at the Toyota website Id know there is a recall for this and he didnt know my odo reading but its only covered up to 150,000. I said ok well mine is over 159,000 so what can be done/needs to be done. I get told that I needed to be referred another place for those questions. The place he named isnt good so I said oh my gosh I dont like them. Him Half yelling... Well lady were going to have to part ways, come get your car. Their website states they specialize in transmissions along with other services, by this experience Id say that is false. The whole ordeal was unprofessional. No concern for the customer. I understand I am not the priority, however providing a timely update and a professional mannerism shouldnt be unreasonable to expect. Id like to mention I now have the unpleasant task of removing grease/oil stains from my previously unstained cloth seats, cloth door panel and the middle console. I have never received a car back from any mechanic with oil stains left behind. I DO NOT recommend this business.
