Very reasonably priced. The salad was really good kind of plain only lettuce and tomatoes but very fresh. The staff was amazing but the Pizza crust was a little dry not the worst but definitely not the best pizza I’ve had.

This was our first time here. We had the chicken bacon ranch. It was delicious! Would definitely come back!

This was the first time I tried California underground and I must say, it was way better than I thought. It was one of the best pizzas IV ever eaten. Very impressed and we will be back for sure 💘💞💙💕💓😘😘😘

Love this place. The workers are very friendly. There pizza is the best. There is a girl named Camryn that works there. She was very helpful and kind. A very nice lady.

California Underground is my preferred pizza place. They have a great selection of toppings, allow you to create a pizza of your own. I love their crust choices, sauce choices, meat selections as well as veggies and cheeses. Their customer service is great and they offer reasonable prices. Best local pizza you can get.

Was looking for a good local place since moving here and Ive found it. Fresh, the ingredients were so fresh. And worth the money, which wasnt bad 14.75 for a 14 Deep DishIll be getting my pizza here from now on.

So the wife and I decide to check this place out tonight. We get there and read the menu posted on the glass, never saw the very faint paper saying no dine-in, so we open the door and out of nowhere here comes a curly haired kid saying HEY YOU CANT COME INSIDE, WE ARE ONLY DOING CURBSIDE!!, now it is not what he said its how he said it, this child is probably 16 and I am 49 and spoke to me and my wife as if we were the kids. Respect comes at all ages. This child doesnt not have a clue. So we walked off and will never try this local business again. I have heard this from other people about this place, but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. BIG MISTAKE!

We were visiting the area for a week and ate here twice because the pizza is so good! We love that it’s family owned and the food tasted incredible. We eat a lot of pizza at many places around the country and this ranks at the top. Tons of fresh cheese and a soft perfect crust. If you want amazing pizza in the area this is your place!

One of the best pizza joints in Tuscaloosa, i eat here all the time and still cant get enough of it. The staff is one of nicest people you will ever meet, and tbey really care about their customers. They have endless specials and rewards that I absolutely love. Cant wait to get my next tasty pizza.

Best Pizza I have had good prices for large legitimate pizzaNot some prefab frozen dough disk with a can of tomato sauce dumped on it. No the pizza is something else my guess is the cook makes it from scratch everyday.

This is definitely the BEST pizza!! I guess some people who clearly have never worked in the food service industry in their life dont realize that day 1 mistakes can happen any time to even the best in the business. People do mess up. However, their food is AMAZING. One little mistake wouldnt run me away from anywhere, but especially not this place!! Plus, they are one of the only pizza places in tuscaloosa that use fresh toppings.

Have bought pizza here for years. Always bought the California Cheeseburger pizza. Loaded with meat, tomatoes, onions, peppers. A favorite of our family until tonight. Went to pick it up and there was literally 2 chunks of meat on each slice, hardly any veggies. When I said something about it she said that wasn’t right for “gourmet pizza” and they would add more. Now we have 4 little DRY chunks of meat. Save your money— go to Hungry Howies. They just lost the business of 3 families that have been customers for years.

Absolutely THE BEST pizza in Northport!!! Have tried them all--just tried California Underground & we love it!! We are shocked at the short hours!!! After reading the owners response I would like to thank the owner for his/her acknowledgement of the situation. Anyone who knows me knows the owners version does not sound accurate of my typical behavior. Our decision to try your business was based on customer reviews mostly being favorable. I stand by my statement.There is a menu posted next to the door.. We tried ordering a special listed there. Cashier would not honor it. Rolled her eyes at me and went to get Abby the manager. Abby also was unfamiliar with the menu (assuming from this she isnt a real manager but maybe a family member of the owner?) but said would honor it after I showed her the posted special.A large dog then ran out of the kitchen into the lobby. I apologized to Abby that I am allergic to dog hair and as the dog ran from the kitchen we needed to cancel the order. Didnt get ugly with her just apologized for the inconvenience and tried to leave. She then tried to force me to pay for drinks we had not been served which were still in their drink cooler. My son opened the door for us to leave and the dog ran out with Abby chasing him down the street. When she rounded up the door she began yelling at me we needed to leave (hello crazy lady we were already leaving standing OUTSIDE at this point) and never come back that it was a service dog and she could have it. No real service dog will run wild like that. Hopefully the dog doesnt bite a small child who startles it. If you like dog hair in your food and horrible service this is your place I guess.

I actually do like their food, maybe the best deep dish in town. But when I get to your restaurant at 4:26 and your door is locked and your open sign is off yet you open at 4, I have lost all respect for you. You are only open for 5 hours a day for crying out loud and cant even get that right?? I am moving away from this end of town, have run pizza places for years myself, and was actually craving some today which is rare.. But this Day 1 level screw-up is enough to have solidified the notion that I would never drive back up this way for their food in the coming years. Any franchise owners or interested parties in the pizza business, PLEASE put a store into this Winn Dixie shopping center. Since nothing else delivers to much of the growing, surrounding area off Hwy 43 and your competition offers poor service with premium prices and limited hours of operation, this would be a gold mine to the right investor.
