Very big store, clean, good fabric selection. The employees in Norton Shores are however, not happy. It isnt just one employee, there were 4 of them in a foul mood and not motivated to help me find things on my last trip. Big frowny face! We are talking about shopping for fabric here people! When I see 4 people in a lousy mood working in a craft store Im blaming that on management not making that store a good place to work. I shop in all the Joanns in West Michigan and have actually visited the facility in Hudson. (big, big fan) Holland and Grandvilles employees make it fun. They want to talk about what you are making.People shop in craft stores for the joy of creating things. 99% of the time it isnt something people have to do.Come on Norton Shores, cheer up! Youre selling FABRIC!

My go to place for all my crafting needs. I absolutely love Joanns here in Muskegon and online. They always have stock of whatever Im looking for.

This place was busy when I went ( a Sat.). I went to just look around, came out with a few things. The line was long.. only one check out person, not good, they opened up a second lane when I got to the front of the line, haha, my luck. Other then the long line, everything was good. If youre fully vaccinated you dont need to wear a mask.

Tried to call and checked their website but there was not an option to file a complaint on the weekend.My family and I were just there today right before 8pm and the cashier was very rude. My sister and I asked a question about a coupon and she was very unhappy with us. She took my phone out of my hand and was abrupt when ringing us out. My sister was trying to be nice and said that she was quick ringing us out, and she said dryly “yea because I’ve got people waiting in line.” Up until that point, we were the only ones in line and other people just walked up. She was hot tampered with us. I understand being frustrated that you are the only cashier, but to be so rude and mean to people who were not reciprocating the rudeness is shocking. I’ve been in customer service for years and never talked to someone the way she talked to us.

Going through checkout, I mentioned to the cashier that my items were not ringing up at the sale price of 60% off. After 7 times of mentioning it to her she rudely stated that that sale was no longer in affect. I mentioned that the signs were literally hanging everywhere, how could it not. She continued ringing up my items with no explanation and definitely way more then I expected to pay. I kept asking her to stop with no compliance. This is now the 3rd time Ive tried to shop here with all 3 being similar experiences. I left the store without those items and actually drove 45 away to a Michaels... and paid more to at least get decent customer service. Will not ever go back for that treatment again. P.s I would have paid the correct prices with just a hint of acknowledgement or even an answer to my very reasonable question. Tsk tsk

Terrible workers. They are always rude and pushy to just get you to go away. I love Joannes but Muskegons Joannes is full of rude people who don’t care about there jobs.

What can I say it is a fabric/craft store they sell fabric/craft supplies. The quality is good, the staff is friendly, prices ar fair and the store is clean. Coupons are great also.. I recommend this store to everyone who needs craft supplies.

Took my adopted mom to Jo-Ann Fabrics due to she likes to do a lot of crafts

Most people there were helpful but the lady cutting the material was very rude and short I wish we would have got the older lady she seem to be very nice with the customers I will never go back to the Jo-Anns in Muskegon again because of the lady that cut the material was so rude to my wife and I

Went in looking for several things, but was only able to purchase one item on my list as they are out of stock. It seems like I interrupted the lady at the cutting table from doing something else she preferred to do. I realized once there that the velcro I had grabbed was sticky back and asked if they had any that wasnt. She informed me that all velcro is sticky back. I said I had bought non sticky there before when she told me they had NEVER sold it. Guess she has worked for JoAnns since its conception. She also informed me that I could use 3/4 inch elastic in place of 1/4 inch, that it was the same. It worries me that she works in an area that requires measurements.

Good selection if you are looking for crafts and supplies. Decent prices too. Clean store and friendly staff is a plus.

I ordered 1 item online for curbside pickup this morning. I also planned on getting a mask kit to donate. I have been waiting all day for a confirmation it was ready. I went ahead and went to the store. At 5:35 I finally received an email. Unfortunately it was to inform me that it was not available after all. I have tried calling several times and I get hung up on everytime. Its very sad.

First time in the store, looks and smells clean. It has thousands of fabrics and crafting items. Prices are average and they offer some great online coupons. We love this location because it is located between some other shopping stores so we can walk to all of those.

Sooooo many fabrics. It was hard to choose. I did find some. Wish they had more tent camping themes. Not everyone is in a camper.

I am very disappointed with the people working at the cutting table. The last three times I have been in and needed something cut I have been met with nasty and angry attitudes. The first time this happened I just figured that they had encountered a bad customer before me, but since it has happened 3 times I assume that being nasty to the customer is a requirement to work cutting fabric. I will be shopping in another location from now on.

Love this place. Sometimes when Im having a bad day I go in just to look. Everyone, even the shoppers seem to be in a good mood. I enjoy getting inspired by all the crafty sutff.

They need more than one person trained in the framing Dept. First time I went in the woman was in vacation. I came back and we worked on a canvas project. She was very helpful. I decided to wait on the purchase and she saved it in the system. I came back and she wasnt working and no one had any clue on how to do framing even when it was saved. Frustrating.

Made great halloween costumes from these fabric. Its a shame it had to close right now due to this covid pandemic.

Went in to pick up online order and also buy other supplies for baking and started off as a bad experience, but ended well. JoAnn Fabrics sent me a $4 coupon off a $10 or more purchase and I wanted to apply it towards my STORE PURCHASE, NOT my online order...The clerk couldnt get the coupon to work, but after the Manager came to the front to assist the clerk, she stated, You CANT use the coupon on Doorbusters and let me know that shed just put up the signing for Doorbusters on my merchandise. I told her that; They WERENT In place when I was in store shopping. She then refused to apply my coupon. I nicely stated, Well, I dont want the items. After going back and forth a couple times, she relented and Applied the coupon. It was moreso about PRINCIPLE than the coupon. Sometimes, the clerks arent very friendly when I go in there, but I like the stock that they have and spend alot of $$$ with that business. I wish that we had MORE options around Muskegon area to choose from. I would SIMPLY take my business elsewhere. #RACIALDIVIDEISMOREEVIDENTTHANEVER!!

Staff is always kind and gives a lot of space when youre looking without being standoffish. Huge selection of fabrics. Very relaxing to be there and theres a large selection of difference craft supplies, ranging from leather work to soap making to scrapbooking.

I went on Saturday for the cricut sale. I was interested in some items that were locked so I looked for the nearest associate. Her nameWas Linda. She was very rude upon asking if she could unlock the things I wanted to buy. She let out a groan and said “ugh I guess, I’ll go find the key” I was with a friend and we both looked at each other like “so sorry I was such a inconvenience” . Also when we were in the cricut area so stepped in front of us as we were looking at some of the other accessories with out saying excuse me or anything... just pushed her way through. The woman at the cash register was AMAZING! Super friendly. She was on cash register 1. Very knowledgeable and friendly!

Jo-Ann fabrics has always been a favorite of mine. Iam new to this city and wanted to find them. Vary helpful and friendly staff.Always a good sale and prices are at an affordable price.

They have tons of fleece!! And lots of craft things as well as sewing items. I think if you are sewing flannel, fleece or quilting you are all set!

Store is clean and mostly organized but Ive been coming quite regularly for the past couple weeks and if your not an expert at your doing there certainly is no one that wont scoff at you for asking seemingly dumb questions and thats really only if you can find someone. I walked the entire store twice and found no one to help me locate a product and when I went to fabric to ask they explains no one is on floor because they are cutting fabric or at register. Under staffed, I left my would be purchased and left.

They have a fantastic selection of various kinds of fabrics, including a growing section of Licensed designs. Definitely check out their coupons before checking out, theyve usually got some really good ones!

Great items...Im not into crafts.

I was way out of my element shopping at JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts, but I needed some supplies for a DIY Halloween costume. The staff was quick to help me find what I needed and even had a couple suggestions that were better suited for my project than what I was looking for. I definitely plan to get more crafts and supplies here in the future.

We just came in and there was a sigh out that said 50% Off Lilac. I picked out a fabric from right behind the sign whos label was clearly lilac, as were most of the ones nearby, and went to get two yards cut.When we got the cut slip, it only had 30% off applied. I asked the lady at the counter, and she said That only applies if it has a lilac sticker on it. So the lilac tag doesnt make it lilac? No. It needs a separate sticker.We went back over to where we found it and looked at every bolt we could see. We found plenty with the lilac colored labels, like ours, but nothing with a separate lilac sticker.I dont know if she was lying, mistaken, or if the whole this was meant to be some kind of misleading ruse (though I cant imagine why they would do that.)Either way, we left the two years on the counter with the 50% Off Lilac sign and the cut slip and just left. I hope they figure their sales out and work on how their sinage. If you have a whole bunch of product labeled with a color, you shouldnt use that color to represent a sale item unless you intend to apply that sale to the products with that color label...or at least make the sign say Does not apply to lilac labeled merchandise, separate lilac stickers only.

I love this store, just not the prices. They have such high prices and run 50,60, and 70% off deals all the times which makes them around hobby lobbys, some still more expensive.

Although the staff was awesome. It would be nice to have price tags on the backs of the items. Frustrating, when youre adding up the amount and have to go back to all the tags to get the prices.

Disappointed, they didnt have all the necessary colors of yarn for my project. There were however multiple boxes of yarn that needed to be put on shelves.

I prefer hobby lobby, this store is a little more expensive and they dont have as much sale as hobby lobby

Purchased an expensive item but had a 50% off the original price coupon I thought Id use. They wouldnt accept it because the item happened to be on sale at 30% off this week. So instead of getting 50% off the original price, I got 30 off. I didnt think I was being rude when I questioned why they couldnt take the coupon. But the clerk, Bonnie, copped an attitude and told me that had been their policy for 18 years in a way that suggested I was stupid for not knowing this. Not friendly at all. Well, excuse me for not knowing your policies. And, I didnt say this to her, but in my opinion this policy shouts poor customer service.
