Fantastic place to get all your RPG, board games and more! Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful! Ive bought plenty of items from them for the last couple years and Ive never once had a bad experience or even a just ok one, every time has been great or phenomenal!

A great place for games and hobbys. Events weekly and the staff is very attentive. My only problem is the pricing on some of the products is higher than other hobby shops.

Im not into card games, but looked like there was more than anyone could ask for in that genre of gaming.Adults, kids, adult kids, enough to go around for any kind of person.Service seemed lacking, and/or their social skills need some polishing. Then again, I am a muscled American, and perhaps they arent typically graced with the presence of someone of my ilk, esp. in a gaming arena. Great game store with friendly and knowledgeable staff. In addition to general and family board games, there is a great selection of Warhammer and D&D miniatures. The Citadel paints are restocked often. No, you won’t get any special deals here on a regular basis, but there is a great sense of community. If you’re looking to play with someone, check out their website or Facebook page for designated Magic the Gathering/WH40k, etc. nights and tournaments.

I have played MTG at the Norton branch since it opened a few years ago. The facility is very nice, super clean, has great inventory, and is run by very knowledgeable and kind people. I am an older dude and the owner Chase helped me get into the Friday Night Magic scene and linked me up with a group of people to play commander with on Saturdays. Once lock down started we were unable to meet up and play cards regularly, and Chase helped me and my girlfriend start to get into DnD 5e. We have bought several books, maps, and minis here and are now totally hooked. They have an awesome amount of DnD resources, all at very fair prices.These small businesses give back to us so much by providing resources, info, and space that allow us the play the games we love. They have braved the storm working during these trying times, and putting themselves in possible danger so that we can still enjoy our favorite hobbies. It may be easier to order some of your gaming gear online, but local stores like Battlegrounds are the reason you got into playing games, and are probably part of the reason you still play. They need your support now more than ever, so that we will still have a place to come together and play when this is all over. If you are thinking about grabbing a booster or some minis or a new game swing by and check these guys out, I cant say enough nice things about the store and their management/employees.

Pretty fun shopping trip unfortunately they didnt have what I was looking for but thats due to an error on Bushiroad. Future advice for anyone coming in here look at their website. It has what theyre selling on it and it isnt a third-party website. Still I got card sleeves and anyone in TCG can never have enough card sleeves

Left work early to go here and they were closed at 830PM on a Saturday even though the website said 10PM. Ended up buying the board games from Amazon instead.

Ive only been to this location a few times as Im not local to it but every time I visit the staff is wonderful and helpful. The other customers are just as great and the selection is nearly perfect, and things they dont have they try to special order. Favorite gaming stores.

Awesome place! It nice and spacious and the place is very clean. The staff here are very friendly and approachable. Its a good place to play at tournaments and leagues regarding card games. The restroom only needs one thing, a new soap dispenser since the one that is in there is almost broken.

The staff was wonderful. They greet me with open arms. I love coming here to play modern or enter a prerelease, because the people who come to play are also very greeting.

Battleground is a great resource for all your tabletop gaming needs. They have Magic the gathering, Warhammer 40k, Dungeons and dragons, etc. The prices might be a little higher than buying stuff online but, for that extra money you get very friendly and knowledge staff. Also, every Friday they host Friday night Magic which is a fun time if you play casually or competitively.

Always have a great experience here! Everyone is super nice and the employees are really helpful and knowledgeable. Only downside is the occasional favoritism of regulars by judges at pre-releases, but nevertheless its a great place to play Magic, D&D, Pokemon, and more.

Called to see if they had something in stock. They didnt answer the phone the first two times I called. Third time was the charm I guess. Woman checked if they had what I was looking for. She told me they didnt have it in stock and then just hung up on me as I was asking afollowup. They didnt need my money I guess. I ordered what I needed on Amazon.

Ive been to a ton of game stores all over the country - Texas, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts to name a few. This store is incredibly well run. There were a lot of things I noticed that I dont take lightly or for granted based on my experiences across other stores. This place is incredibly clean and the staff cares. It is spacious for the events and games being played. I have nothing but positive things to say about my time spent here.

The best game store in the South Shore, by far. The customer service was amazing. They carry a variety of cards, like Magic, Pokémon, etc. Quite a large setup to play as well. They have snacks and other board games. I had a pleasant experience at a prerelease there and will definitely return!

Everything Ive said about the original store in Abington could be said about the Norton location as well. This is BGs second store and is a worthy addition to the company. The store manager is incredibly friendly and an absolute ironman workhouse as it pertains to creating and scheduling events throughout the year. The space is open, clean, and friendly. An amazing selection of all kinds of games as youd expect from Battleground.Of particular note is the stores resident RPG Expert, Sam. I dont know if theres a game on earth hes not played, or even more likely, GMed. He has a talent for GMing that is very rare I think. I put him as one of the best Ive ever seen or played with in my 36 years of RPGing. Seriously.Get yourself to Battleground. Any Battleground Games & Hobbies. You wont be disappointed. Tell them Bob sent you and youll get a special prize of, well, nothing. They wont give you a prize because I sent you. What they WILL give you is a fantastic shopping, playing, and social experience. Thats better than any free gift I can think of

Battleground Plainville is a great gaming store with a great staff and lots of cool stuff on sale. It has a friendly group of regular players who make even the rankest amateurs (like me) feel welcome. Its all about having a good time. I started there doing Dungeons & Dragons Encounters and have since gotten involved in the X-Wing Miniatures game.

This amazing shop just relocated to Norton MA after almost 6 years in Plainville MA. The move represents a significant upgrade not only for the store but for Norton as a whole. Its a beautiful space and easily the nicest looking game store in the area.I found the staff to be incredibly pleasant and helpful, they spent several minutes with me going over games that I can enjoy with my 5 year old and 8 year old. If youre looking for a family friendly, engaging, unplugged activity for your friends or family definitely check them out. It looks like they also host quite a few gaming events each week with a different game or games being played each day. I visited this past Sunday and was happy to see so many kids and families playing the Pokemon games. A+

Super friendly staff, very big, clean area in the back thats always got a number of friendly patrons playing games. Their games are priced such that theyre generally within a few bucks of what youll find online, so theres no reason not to feel good about supporting local small business! They have regular events, both organized and loose, all week long.They have a selection of snacks and drinks for sale, that are equally well priced, plus theres a dunks, a McDonalds, a big y, and a Mexican restaurant all in the plaza, so wether you end up staying for 6 hours or 20 minutes, youll have plenty of options available to you.Just watch out for traffic from the Xfinity center nearby. You will be infinitely better off taking exit 10 from 495 to get here on nights when theres a concert. But thats a minor inconvenience only because taking exit 11 drops you almost into their parking lot 😄
