I absolutely love this store and the young gentleman that work there are wonderful and helpful. I have recently had to search high and low to find bones for my dog. They even ordered some for me and both my dog and I are so grateful for it lol. These folks are wonderful in their meats are out of this world. Although you may pay a little more for somethings its always wise to remember that you get what you pay for And you are supporting a small local business and getting fresh meat. Cooking for one now, its very nice that I can go into Chartleys and just pick up one steak, or one chicken thigh and cook one and not have to worry about having leftovers just dont necessarily taste good when reheated. The food is fresh and high quality.

Quality meats and service all the time at the Norton Chartley Country Store. Love the selection of meats and deli items at comparable prices. They will freezer wrap items on request and always pleasant to work with.

Asked if they could shave a rib eye for a really good sandwich. The guy looked annoyed and said, you can shave it at home. I said excuse me. He replied Im not shaving it. You can. I was shocked. I said so, if a customer comes in and asks for a type of meat cut a certain way. Youre going to tell them no!? Depends he replies... Terrible attitude for a small mom and pop shop. I wont be back.

The place needs an update but love the quality of the meat and the employees are very helpful.

This place has been here forever. Love the selection of meats and minor groceries. Love the creaky old floors and the place feels like an old time butcher shop. Prices are decent, but you get what you pay for lady.

Great neighborhood joint staffed by emotionless millennials. In fairness, they are surely courteous and they get the job done. Food quality here is very good and it is well-stocked. Dispense with any reservations about trying anything .. I keep trying new things and I have never been disappointed in anything yet. Give them an honest shot

Nice little country store. They have a variety of items for purchase and great fresh meats available. Their grocery items tend to be a bit over priced but a lot of convenient places are like that. The staff is always pleasant and on top of customer service. Parking is a pain, as it tends to get busy very quickly. It couldnt hurt to call ahead for specific items, Ive gone for simple grocery items and had to go down the street because they didnt carry what I needed.

Nice little country store to pick up what you need! They have hot dinners and subs when you dont want to cook. But the high point here is their meat counter....fantastic quality selection! You can purchase a whole piece of meat and theyll cut it to your specifications! I purchased a entire piece of filet and they cut into thick filets for me. They tasted great on the grill!

Great meat and produce. Look for the pre-order packages. Best for all occasions. Even grabbing cooked food on lazy days. Could use less salt in all batter....but still A++++

Went to this place loved it at first the meat selection was amazing got a bundle loved everything I got, went to go talk to my daughter for a min since she was buying steak.as we were walking to the car a worker ran out to make ask if I paid! Paid for the meat?! Like what kind of place questions if you paid for your meat?! I was so offended that I took all the meat we bought back.
