I am honestly stunned by the customer experience that I just had at this location. I made what I knew would be an expensive appointment to alter two bridesmaid dresses, purchased elsewhere. After an already tense fitting by the seamstress, who seemed upset with every movement I made, I was rang up by a separate cashier who, understandably, was uncertain at the price I was about to pay. I assured her that it was probably correct, given that I had been quoted $188 for the first dress alone. Regardless, she went to check with the seamstress, which I can appreciate. What I can NOT appreciate was that the seamstress deemed it appropriate to round on me and yell, (literally, yell), My friend, you had TWO dresses! I was so shocked and embarrassed that I had to take time to settle down in my car before I left the store. I have never felt so attacked by a person in a customer service role, and to reiterate, I had NO question over the price. The entire experience was just a mess because once that incident blew over, I was then rang up for a full $126 dollars MORE than the original price I was given for the two dresses. At this point, I did question the price, Ill be honest with you. The cashier told me that this extra $126 was taxes and fees. Once I explained that sales tax is 9% and this was a full 25% more than the original total, the seamstress now rounded on the cashier, making matters even worse and exclaiming, What did you do?!!! ...That situation was, of course, remedied, and I ended up paying the correct amount. But again, I cannot fathom how the behavior from this seamstress is allowed from a company as reputable as Nordstrom. Ill be saving myself and the other employees the public ridicule next time and going ANYWHERE else.
