Great food and great price! Me and my family had a great time on New years eve, they had a DJ and we dance Latin music all nigth..great place for celebrations..

Food was good, service was good. Only con was the the bill seemed a bit high for buffet and show. The waitress made an error with our bill on twice.

I go to this great restaurant a lot! This is my favorite restaurant to pass a nice evening. I go to this spot at least once a month. The food is excellent, the staff is helpful and the charge is fair. I like eating in this spot over a tasty lunch.

Great place for Mediterranean food, try the Osso Bucco

This place is a hidden gem. It is located in the corner of a small shopping center on New Canaan Avenue. I like the “mellowness” of the place, very relaxing. The food and service were excellent. We told the waitress we wanted to take our time and enjoy each course. After the appetizers, she asked if we would like our food in 20, 15 or 10 minutes… I love that! Freshly made Sangria was delicious. I had never had Tropical Sangria before, yummy. Had the Salmon with saffron sauce – I will be going back to get some more as soon as possible! I love the food here. We tried 3 appetizers, 2 main courses and 2 desserts – a good sampling of what they make. If I could eat here every day, I would! I am looking forward to their comedy and Flamingo nights. Highly recommended. Lots of parking, very attentive service, Excellent Food!

The entrees here are all delicious! Im really surprised its not busier. Maybe because of its location set back from the street? We had a Groupon which brought the price down to a level which was a steal for a meal of this quality.

Food was so so, service could have been better. I ordered empanadas and the waiter tried to stir up and offer me the used dipping sauce that another person in my dinner party who had left was just using. And when I declined told me oh but they were using a spoon. I should a left right then but my stomach made me stay. Eat at your own risk!

Some of the tastiest and most authentic Spanish cuisine weve had outside Spain. And a very warm and cozy environment. Best of all, a very authentic and Euro friendly staff. Will definitely be back, especially for some of their upcoming events!

The decor was the only nice thing about it. Service was poor, waitress couldnt answer questions regarding the menu. We ordered 4 different dishes, the rice in the paella was bland and had a burnt taste to it; the broccoli with the steak was rancid; the beef still had the fatty membrane around it( not trimmed off), the only good dish was the grilled salmon and the black beans with another dish. I do not recommend this place, very poor experience.

Delicious hot chocolate by Paul. A sweet little cafe for a coffee or tea while waiting to get your nails done. Or just stop in for some nice hot drinks. Free parking. Closed on Sundays.

We Visited Cafe Madrid many many times in the past. The food and the service has been unbelievable which is why we kept coming back again and again, but not anymore!!!Tonight 4 of us came for dinner. After waiting for 20 min (not even a menu was offered to browse) some young man came by. We joked that nobody’s working tonight, are we going to be able to get food?He’s answer was: “are u going to yell at me? THE DOOR Is OVER THERE!” I was not yelling, just making a joke. We just got up and left. We will NEVER come back!! I just thought I have to share this experience!!! First time in my life I was shown the door at the restaurant!Anna Kuznetsov

Avoid at all costs. Theyre dishonest about their Happy Hour specials. Got bait and switched today. Sat down at 6:30 pm (for their 5-7 Happy Hour) and ordered drinks, appetizers, and dinner. They advertise on their website 20% off appetizers and drinks, and advertise $4 appetizers on a sign outside their restaurant. Got the check and was surprised that drinks and apps were full priced. I inquired with the waitress and she said it was only if you sat at the bar. What kind of joke is this? The restaurant is completely empty, and Ive never heard of a happy hour being only for the bar. Take my extra $15 bucks (or whatever it was), Ill never come back to your establishment. Gets two stars because despite this, the food was decent.

We decided to try Cafe Madrid on a Sunday and it was a nice experience. The restaurant is a large room with tables so it feels a bit like a banquet hall. It looks like it may be a very lively place on weekends for dancing. We tried the soup of the day, meatballs and fried calamari. The soup was Pasta Fagioli and came in a large bowl. It was pretty tasty. The meatballs were all beef which was why we got them. They were also tasty in a good marinara sauce. The calamari was very fried and not anything special. Not bad but I wont order it again. We were going to order an empanada each but decided we were full. We opted for dessert which was the big disappointment. The tiramisu tasted like it might be from Costco. If it was homemade, it needs work. No lady fingers in this dessert. Service was efficient. Not badly priced. Nice decor. Full bar.

Place is small but really nice and cozy, the food well from my appetizer which was garlic shrimps tapas was just great my main dish a palle was amazing all was cooked to perfection not to for get my dessert was delightful I had the coconut flan.. just amazing this little jem hidden in norwalk with such great food and the service was great... wish the cook would have come out so I could let him know I would drive out my way to come to visit again.. We truly love this place. The appetizers and the main entrees were really good and tasty. By recommendations of our waitress, we had an wonderful mango Sangria, thank you Shirley!. The talented guitarist made our experience more satisfying. I would like to see Aceitunas, Marinated Spanish Olives, in the menu. We are definitely coming back to Café Madrid.

Chef Julian was able to create my dinner off menu and He executed it perfectly. Would recommend you dining at Cafe Madrid, you wont be disappointed.

Service was so poor. The moment we walked in they told us theres no room for us to have dinner without even asking if we had our reservation. My friend arranged our reservation scheduled few hours before the comedy night event at 8. We came in at 6pm, and we had no plan to stay for the event. The host kept telling us that theres no more table available we tried to explain but they wont listen. There was a miscommunication on their part but we were treated as unwelcomed guests. We had to step out and wait for our friend, who made the reservation, to come so she can explain. It was embarassing on our part. Not only that, we havent ordered anything yet, the menu is not handed over, the waitress who served our table told us to place our order quick so our food can come quick, in order for them to clean up our table before the event starts. So rude!! Its like telling us to leave right away. Its very disrespectful. We were supposed to enjoy our dinner outside but it was all ruined. The food is great but I dont think we would ever go there again with the kind of treatment weve experienced.

Good for tapas and thats it. Dont waste your $$

We came by for a Friday lunch and it was surprisingly completely empty. I got the Penne Cafe Madrid, which is penne ala vodka with some meat and seasonings, which was quite good. The portion sizes were good, as was the service. This place is quite nice, the food is good, but not too expensive. Thats enough for 5 stars from me.

I work at a local place and we called in to place a food order, the man on the phone introduced himself as Michael. As I began to place my order he became very frustrated and rude stating they don’t serve the cod that’s the corporate menu stop viewing the menu online! I informed him I needed to check with my coworker whom ordered the item and I would call right back. I attempted numerous times to call and place that order and he never answered the phone. This is terrible costumer service how can you expect to get returning service if you have no people skills??

Excellent food, warm friendly atmosphere.

Sometimes, the first clue that a restaurant isn’t quite top-notch is when the server denies any knowledge of the sign at the door about the drink specials and instead refers you to the full-priced cocktail menu. Then once you recognize that the wine menu shows white wines for $9 and red wines for $8, but the chalkboard at the bar says white wines are $8 and red wines are $9 – and it goes downhill from there. We tried the Pollo Café Madrid and the Lomo de Cerdo – both of which are nothing more than pan-sautéed meat (overcooked) topped with a salad. We guessed that the pork loin – with a bone – may have actually been a pork chop, but it didn’t matter – it was dry and chewy. The service was great until we finished our meals, and then we waited 15 minutes for our check with nothing more to drink. It was not a busy night – only three tables and seven guests in total. Overall, quite disappointing – I’d recommend skipping it.
