This place has a wine inventory and selection that is amazing. Not like other places, you know like confusing, precise.A staff that has knowledge. You ask which wine for your party and Ill bet the cost of the bottle, it is spot on. Great.

If you were like me and stopped going to this store under previous ownership because of the staff attitude, try them again. So much nicer now. Or maybe I got lucky?

Great selection of wine. The staff has always been very helpful. Theyre knowledgeable and are more than willing take the time to help customers make a good selection. The store is clean and well organized. To be honest if you shop around you can find slightly lower prices at the discount stores, but I still think theyre worth it for the level of customer service they give. Theyve never given me a bad recommendation.

I am very happy for new management. The last owner was not community oriented. Her customers are happy she is gone.

They have a great and large selection of wine, which is what I mainly come here for. Staff is nice too

The people here are very friendly the service is good. The only reason this rating is only four stars is as they are quite expensive especially in the area from my experience I wouldnt tell you not to go there but for the items I was purchasing the price was a little bit too high

An expert in our little town?!I have known Betsy and the establishment for over a year now, and can state with confidence she is the most knowledgeable person regarding spirits I have ever known. She actually travels abroad to learn more about various distilleries! You are far better off asking Betsy what you might need than going to anyone else-including online.Plus, shes really nice! :)

Don’t waste your time going to this store the cashiers are remarkably slow and you’ll be in line for 20 mins. Why waste your time here when you can go to bean hill right down the road.

The worst liquor store in Norwich as of now. Ive been here multiple times and there was never an issue until the older angry lady with the glasses decided to give me a hard time. Every single time Ive been here Ive used my moms card, as she is the one who wants the liquor. This is the first time that anyone has told me I cant use this card because I am not the person. Unbelievable. Suddenly there has been a problem that I have been using my moms card. The woman is extremely unfriendly, awful customer service and should not even be at the register. Will no longer return to this liquor store.

The staff are so wonderful and helpful. Its easy to just go to work and punch the clock but it feels like the staff go above and beyond not only helping with selection but theyve even helped bring things out to my vehicle. The store selection is great and even if they didnt have what I was looking for, they were able to order it for me.

Decent selection of wine, but abysmal beer selection. Prices are very high compared to other local places, and the staff is incredibly rude and pretentious. I used to enjoy stopping in for my needs due to great suggestions and help with my selection, but service has gone downhill consistently and I’ve been made to feel very uncomfortable in this store and treated like trash for having to come inside with my child. Sorry I won’t leave them in my car alone out in the parking lot! Lost my business and that of my friends and family today for good. Bad business outweighs good wine.

I love going to Towne Liquor. The staff is extremely attentive, and always showing me the latest beer and whiskey offerings. For a store thats known for their wine selection, they will easily impress with their beer and whiskey. The staff is always friendly, and happy to help me bring my selections out to my car.

Went in for a 6 pack of beer, cashier said I didnt have enough product to buy something with my points credit card.... she then suggested I get 2 more additional single beers to qualify for the credit purchase, I said no thanks and began to leave out of disgust and then was offered to let me purchase the 6 pack, just this one time. I accepted the offer and never went back and never will. Their cheapness lost a customer, I wonder how many others theyve lost?

Betsy and the entire staff at Towne Liquor Store are consistently helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Im always greeted with a smile and when I have a large order at the holidays they help me out to my car. Theyre ability to make recommendations based off of the meal, event and price amazes me. Even my guests who dont usually drink wine love their suggestions. I highly recommend Towne Liquor to everyone I know. Ive sent family and friends multiple times who now invite their own friends and family because of their high quality service. Even though I live twenty minutes away I make a point of stopping in for any big occasion or celebration.

There is something for everyone, ranging from the Monday night football fare to the most memorable vintage in bubbly or still. The staff is knowledge without pretension, eager to share the value vintage secret special. This place is a must for beer and wine. Trust me.

Not very friendly toward anyone that looks under 30. Employees are very paranoid. My first experience here I was asked if I was purchasing alcohol for minors or if I had a minor in my car (neither applied). Workers -- which are mostly managers or owners, can be snobs. They are knowledgeable about alcohol but this place seems to be better for middle aged people looking for wine recommendations. Beer and Liquor selection is minimal

Every time I go in i receive friendly and helpful service. No matter what you are looking to buy and no matter what your price range theyre always very knowledgeable and can direct you towards something that you will enjoy.

Two of their workers followed me around the store step for step as if i were a theif. I bought some grain alcohol and AFTER paying for it the cashier wouldnt let go of the bottle until he explained the “dangers” of it to me as if i didnt know it was strong and flammable. Never felt so patronised in my life. This is the closest package store to my house and i drive right past it to go to a different store whenever i want liquor.

After so many years buying there today was my first discriminatory moment my purchase was deny because we were Spanish and my 47 year old brother didnt have his ID with him even though the three of us had ID the owner or employee deny us the right to purchase but is also his right to sell to whoever he wants to sell but in this day and age really???? I found it highly discriminatory and Prejudice but this is my opinion and my experience no ifs or butts my three older brothers, my brothers ages from the 40s 30s and late 20s,,,, shame on you I will bring my money somewhere else but still shame on you,,,,
