This location is definitely the dirtiest, unorganized and terribly stocked location out of the OSJL that I have been to. ( and looking at other reviews not much has changed over the years ) And their shipping carts are terrible, they are rusty missing pieces and the wheels are bowed. Lucky for me there is more locations in the area.

The store was empty pretty much. But once you got to the check out they had 2 people working. They were really slow.

I quit my job at the Norwood Ocean State Job Lot today and walked home. When I got home police were at my door. The manager lied to the police and said that I said I was going to kill myself on the way out. I hated it there anyways and they are horrible people! Don’t work for them! EVER!!! Honestly if there were a zero star rating option I would have chose that!

I love shopping at Ocean State. I find every that I am looking for and the price is really good.

Clean store. Friendly and helpful staff. Some areas with sparse product on shelf but I may have visited right before delivery day. Would come back here to shop.

Swung in for a replacement cover for outside furniture after the crazy wind. In stock and priced right. Found a cute Easter card! Bargains galore, nice and helpful staff.

Today the shelves were pretty empty but there was a lot of inventory in boxes and on pallets EVERYWHERE! I would give it some time for them to restock as there were very few employees there mid afternoon.

They couldnt show me where the item was it was looking for I didnt have time to bother store is in deep trouble here dont think Ill ever go back there

Website shows stock when there isn’t any so I drove here for something specific and it was out. Then if I had wanted to buy something the line was literally to the back of the store with one register open.

Its not unusual to go there for an advertised sale item just to find that its not there, again not unusual. The people who work there are helpful, but appears its a place for short term employment as there are always different faces.

Usually love this place, but they send out a flyer and when ya get there they dont have anything theyve advertised. Dont know whats going on lately, maybe staffing, deliveries, I dont know. Kinda disappointed lately.

Great place to run in and out to get what you want. Great snow brooms for reasonable prices!! We all know in New England, the weather changes every 10 minutes!!! They offer many seasonal items for fair prices!!! Something for everyone.Staff always good natured and very helpful.

I like the place and can find lots of stuff I need but you often have to go when the item you need is in season, otherwise its not the place to go to. For example if you need patio furniture, only in the summer, if you need salt or something for the snow you need to go late winter, you need stuff to close your pool, only at the end of the summer. Basically if you need something in season, great place to go to. If you need it when its not on season, look elsewhere.Also Im annoyed that they often try to trick you into buying stuff that arent crazy deals because they are in the crazy deals section with other items that are similar. And always the item thats not part of the crazy deal is very expensive and the only way they could sell it is to trick you into taking it to the register only to tell you, oh the crazy deal is for all the other ones, not this expensive one. So some people will just say, doesnt matter, Ill get it anyway. This hasnt happened once to think this is random or a coincidence or anything else. It happens a lot.. Ive seen it dozens of times. Basically anytime they have an item that is good and a good deal and they also have a similar overpriced item in stock at the same time that they want to sell.This trick they do would get them a one star rating, but I do go there often for stuff I need in season and do often find good deals.. So 3 stars.

I did not enjoy shopping at this store, its so cheap. Some areas the items are so messy. Its a weird shop, I am just a visitor to the USA and visited this store out of curiosity.

I always find something good! The arts and crafts section has some surprising finds, so does the beauty/personal care section.

Decent, smaller store so sometimes things are out of stock..

Employee/ woman on register 7 at 1145am was rude. Yelling across the store to comustomer service. Telling the old woman 80yrs old. shes not a cashier and hates waiting on people. ZERO rating

They have plenty of items to shop. I just feel the store is dirty. Not the best feeling during covid, but the prices are good value.

There are lots of good finds here at great prices. Its my go to store for dog treats, paper goods, quality food items, art supplies and even clothing. Supplies vary but so worth the trip!

Inexpensive off brand items here. Good for saving a penny however the store layout is very confusing and items seem somewhat random as if a garage sale.

Ocean State in West Roxbury didnt have what I wanted but the ocean state in Norwood did always love Ocean State

Ocean State Job Lot offers clothing, foods, garden supplies, patio furniture, toys, pool chemicals, toiletries and other items.They also run special crazy deals where if the item is purchased, the consumer received a crazy deal card worth up to the full amount spent for the item. This means that the consumer is getting the two items for 50% off. It is a good deal if you really want the original item and the one you buy with the crazy deal card.I stop in almost weekly.

Best store ever

Really like this store. I come random times and its never overly crowded. I always find the specific things I want and usually at lower prices than Walmart like trail mix, air wick refills, pillows, leggings, batteries, candles etc. Its a great place to just pick up stuff you need and I always come back. I know the layout of this location and they have a lot of stuff so I prefer it.

Love going in and browsing to see what new thing they are selling this week. Found some nice make up I never saw before and got house hold items I needed and just enjoyed taking my time and looking at everything

You truly can get almost anything you can think of. Pool supplies, yard tools, household items and office supplies. But you can get food here as well. The store is pretty clean.

Ocean State is a solid chain, and this location is no exception. Always the best in store selection of Bobs Red Mill (especially the gluten free things), Lundberg Rice, and Sam Mills products. While the seasonal items and special one off loads of things they get are often great, it is the reliable pricing and selection of staple foods that make me a regular customer.(Well, that and the great staff. The people who work there that Ive interacted with have all been lovely)

A store in constant transition. A third of the shelves are empty, half are full to bursting. The floors are unkempt, as none stay clear long enough to be cleaned. It is too crowded at all hours, nearly claustrophobic. If you come here, you were already expecting that, though.

I found several items I was looking forward to buying. Wasnt sure i would find them. Today was a really good day shopping at Ocean State as I found what I was looking for. Service at the register was good.

This job lot was much better than Dedham or Mansfield . Its more organised

Its a bargin basement type store. You know this. We come here for bargins, not flash. Decent value for your buck, I shop here for that reason. The empty shelves, and mislabeled merchandise is just a part of this experience.

The shop has lot of items at a very cheap and reasonable price. Lindt bars for $1 😉. The same chocolate was about $3++ in the near by shops.Variety of Asian and Indian ready to eat items were available. I am not sure about the quality and how old are those stock.A bit cleaner arrangement of items would be helpful.

Hectic, but has everything I need.

This Job Lot has really gotten much better in the last few years. When I first went there several years ago, it was the junkiest store Id ever been to. It made Building 19 look like Bloomingdale s. Its cleaned up and definitely improved.

Looks like a thrift store going out of business. had absolutely nothing. although I was looking for something particular, I still didnt see much of anything else.

A wide variety of merchandise, combined withsome very good prices makes for a good store to add to your list. There is ample parking, handicap accessable (parking) public restroom. Usually they have two or three registers open, the isles are somewhat narrow and congested, often blocked with a pallet or items waiting to be stocked. There is usually plenty of employees available to answer your questions, and for the most part they are very helpful, one gentleman seems to stand out... Howie (if I remember correctly) he is always upbeat, smiling, friendly, and eager to help. If you are a frugal shopper they have a Customer rewards program that offers even more savings combined with the Crazy Deals makes for some serious savings. The check out lines are often congested, and the difficulty of locating items, with isle congestion makes for the 4 star.
