I bought a cool vintage amp here but it needed to be be serviced and I had the original cord replaced to a safe 3 prong. AJ and his Dad are nice people. They are not very flexible on pricing so be prepared to pay high end retail prices here. They had several cool vintage guitars but I thought the prices were way too high. Guys with a lot more $ than me will likely not care. They know a lot but not everything about vintage amps and guitars. Do your homework and know what to look for before making a purchase.
These dudes were less than knowledgeable about guitars. They were rude and grumpy. I liked the idea of going to a family business. But thats not what this is. The people were awkward and it was a bad experience. I will be going to one of the more qualified and substantiated business from now on
AJ was more than fair to me. Did an awesome job adjusting my fender jazzmaster. Good soul; fun to talk gear/music with. Takes the comfort and safety of his customers seriously. I will be back and send everyone I know.
Stepping into the best of the past music has to offer.
AJ has a great down to earth personality !
Absolutely vintage.
Bought a 67 Telecaster a couple years ago. Got it for a very reasonable price. When it arrived, it exceeded my expectations. Would definately buy from Bay State again. Very friendly people to deal with.
I dropped off my Taylor for a pre-winter setup. The staff was friendly (Father & Son run the shop) and they even turned around my setup in a few hours allowing me to pick it up the same day. They also recommended some ways to keep my acoustic properly humidified through the winter and overall I had a great experience.I would never get this type of service at Guitar Center and lets face it, at Guitar Center its all about trying to up-sell me more stuff I dont want.Drop the big corporate chain guitar repair shop and support this great local business.
Go here! The man who works here helped fix my sons bass, and I would say is among the best people you meet on this planet.
I have found them very helpful, a pleasure to deal with and have had them work on my guitar and a lap steel.
These guys have amazing vintage gear AND they do great service/repair work on both guitars and amps. The polar opposite of those big-box music stores.
Great spot to bring your amps in for service.
Awesome, expert, friendly service!
Craig has been in the business of selling vintage guitars and amps for more than 40 years and has been a beacon in the industry.
