People are very helpful. It’s on the pricey side but I’d rather support a small locally owned business than a big national chain. I also like that it’s employee owned.

I walked in asked for help with matching paint. 2 sales people standingAround doing nothing, didn’t move to help me match paint.When I asked if they could shake some paint I bought from another manufacturer they said they couldn’t do it, it was against their rules.I went to Home Depot, they were helpful and shook up the existing paint I had. I’ll never go to Pini again for anything.

Everyone is so helpful, Im not inept in a hardware store, but the staff here saves me so much time helping me find the aisles I need.

While they dont have a huge selection like some of the bigger hardware stores, they make up for in customer service. I have yet to walk in there and not be helped. Within a minute there is always someone there that can help you find what you need, and if they cant, they promptly find someone that does.This is a great local place and I will happily go there before I go to Home Depot or some other large chain.

A solid neighborhood hardware store that focus on helpfulness and knowledge, with prices competing well with Home Depot. Despite its size its stock is fairly comprehensive. The Ace rewards program is archaic though, relying on mailing expiring vouchers rather than just adding a discount to your account.

Always five stars. They are always helpful and nice. Love shopping here.

Pini and Pacific hardware in Vacaville or two of the best Ace hardwares Ive ever been to in the whole country.

Lesson learned: check for fit before leaving store -- angle stop and (should have been) connecting supply line picked from stock by staff expert were incompatible, necessitating return. Presumably an honest mistake, but I want my hour back...

Very well stocked. This is a ardware store like they all should be - crammed with stuff you didnt know you wanted! I do wish they were open a little bit later. Location is super convenient, and pricing is reasonable.

Considering there isnt really any big box hardware stores very nearby. Pinis Ace Hardware has to qualify as a pretty good local asset. They have a lot of a little bit of everything. And while most of it is priced along the lines of most Ace hardwares a little above the big box stores, I actually spied a few bargains the last time I walked in there such as the multi-pack button cell batteries for for a mere $5. so its nice to see theyre not out to ream every Novato resident out of every penny they can simply because theyre the closest game in town. I docked them one-star because the parking sucks for anybody who has a trailer behind them. And I cant even say that thats really their fault its the shopping centers.

Plenty of staff around to help and they are friendly and helpful, real old fashioned family hardware store feel.

THEY WERE GREAT. Plenty of helpful. Knowledgeable staff all over the place. It took 5 minuets or less to have 3 keys made, I was directed to the SILICONE GLUE I needed, I stood in line for 2 minuets, Yadda-Yadda-Yaddaaaaa, Back home in a flash.

Long over due review for this great store and employees. Top notch staff here. I’ve been shopping in store for years and now with COVID-19, I’ve been using curbside pickup and delivery. Every facet has been amazing. Curbside pickup is easy and employees are super friendly. Delivery drivers are great and it always goes smooth. I try to give all my business to Pini’s before the big box. This is a prime example of how businesses should hire, train and operate. Best place for all of your hardware needs in all of Marin.

Prices are kind of on the high end but in a pinch u will never find a better place

What can I say about Pinis that everyone doesnt already know? It is not only the best hardware store in Marin, but quite possibly the best store period. There is a reason it has been a Novato staple for so long and why everyone shops here: the staff.Ive been shopping here for 20 years and some of the employees have been working at Pinis longer than that. Everyone here is knowledgeable and friendly.The floor staff knows where everything is and offers super valuable advice with whatever project I need help with. The checkers are always friendly and genuinely seem to be happy working here.I really cant say enough about this store, but thank you Pinis, for being such a service oriented establishment and maintaining such consistently high standards.

Most of the staff at Pini Ace Hardware are excellent. There are a couple of exceptions that are mediocre at best. If you happen to get one of these people, its okay to let them know that you just want to look around, and then find someone more helpful. Look for their specials which will save you money.

Ive been shopping here for many years. Pini has a really good assortment of tools, supplies and gadgets. Save yourself a trip to the big-box stores. They have everything you need for your home remodeling our repair project. Cookware, precision computer tools, canning jars, paints, stains, brushes, glues, caulking, BBQs and related supplies, screws, nuts, bolts, bulbs, lights, electrical, plumbing, cleaning supplies, etc., etc. If you need it, Pini very likely has it in stock.

Pillar in the community; I remember visiting Penny family hardware on Grand avenue with my dad when I was a kid. It was always a really sweet time, and the staff has then just as personable and kind ever since. They will always go out of their way to help. We are lucky to have them!! thats why, when it came time to buy a nest security system for my house I chose to purchase it here instead of on Amazon.

While certainly not as cheap as Home Depot, they have a reasonably good selection, and great customer service. They have a pretty good selection of plumbing, electrical, irrigation, tools, paint, hardware, and more. They are definitely not the place to go for Lumber, or building supplies, but I think anyone going there probably already knows that (and goes to Novato Builders Supply....).Its a great example of good customer service and selection. Love Pini Ace!

In the best sense Pini is like a hardware store from a generation ago. TheStaff is friendly and helpful. They know where everything is. Theyll give you good advice and even cut something for you. Buy local instead of the chain hardware stores.

Great breadth of inventory in electrical, plumbing, nuts & bolts, household, and more.And the checkout line, which always moves fast, has a surprising collection of small, simple kids toys like classic rubber band powered balsa airplanes.ACE card earns points toward cash cards plus senior discount day (Wednesday?).Ive never been disappointed :-)

I make excuses to go here because I love it so much.Im a stay at home mom and the house handy-man who learns home repair on the fly. The Pini staff cant be beat. And its always the same staff that have been there for years and know what the heck theyre talking about and could probably point you in the right direction in their sleep.Between Pini Hardware, Novato Lumber, and Marin Landscape (colored gravel) I have managed to avoid home depot for years and have made a great connection with my own awesome community!

I cant say too much about the store it was the first time Ive ever been there and it was really hard for me to find someone that could help me look for the tools that I wanted to get. I did have a key made and the guy who made Mikey was extremely polite extremely knowledgeable and we actually chatted while he was making the key and that gave it a homey feeling... I did end up buying a tool set and their prices were okay and their stock was good lots of variety... all in all it was an okay experience...

The best Ace Hardware franchise Ive been to -- been going to this place ever since they were in Downtown Novato. The staff is always friendly and more than willing to provide assistance for all hardware supply needs. The inventory is always well stocked as well.

Incredibly helpful. I was ready to walk out with the wrong light bulb when an employee asked if he could help. Here compared it to the one I brought in and showed me the right replacement. Its like a hardware store from 20 years ago and I mean that in the best possible way.

I do pro audio repair, mods, and fabrication. Im at Pinis almost as much as electronics parts stores. Saved me many times with the outstanding nuts, and bolts section. Very helpful staff. A real local treasure!

Great store. leaps and bounds better than Home Depot. On most visits I cant get 30 feet into the building without a friendly employee asking me if they can help me find what Im looking for. Prices are usually 5-10% higher than Home Depot, but its certainly worth it - way better than driving out of my way to get to Home Depot or Lowes.

Phenomenal. The staff has always been incredibly attentive and helpful. Srsly if I got some extra profit please give em all a raise.
