I had purchased 2 new trucks from Novato Ford from super salesman Ray Wiser. RIP. The place changed owners and it was time for a new truck. I wanted to buy local but Ray was gone. I started working with Glen Ross on a highly sought after truck. Glen was answering ALL my questions and earning my business. And then Covid hit and I had to delay or several months. Now Ford production was shut down due to Covid and the truck was even harder to find. Glenn was patient and helpful and persistent to find what I wanted. Other dealers were charging $5000-10,000 more for this vehicle (and could not find one). Glenn found me exactly what I wanted and gave me the deal I needed. I felt like Glenn and the team treated me like a repeat customer. Their service team is makes servicing my truck easy. Fran, Roger and Luis are great. Thanks. I look forward to continuing our relationship.
John Preston and his complete team at Marin County afford always go beyond to exceed customers satisfaction. They treat you like family and truly listen to you as a customer. I’ve purchased many vehicles from Marin County Ford. Thanks again John and the complete team at Marin County Ford. Definitely appreciate the 5 star service
I have a great experience, Nikki, Tsoai and John are the best. No- pressure, trustworthy, they listen to me, quick and clear communication, no games. Cannot recommend them highly enough!
They are definitely. My extended family there. They arent your run if the mill car salesman. They actually care and they give you the choice. Never pressured and talk sense into you (well... Me🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤣) if your decision might not be the best one to make. Love love them!!! Shouts to Glen, John ans Soey!! They are the best!
Tsoai & Glenn are awesome and friendly! They make you feel like youre part of the family and I bought from Ford in the past but never Marin County Ford and now this is the only place me and my family as well as friends will buy a car!! Great deals an amazing team makes you feel like youre home!
My wife was in needed of a car. So I found one but it was a 1.5 hr drive. The car was everything she wanted so she purchased it. Oscar was the best & service was worth the drive. Happy wife! Happy life!
Luis @ Marin County Ford is the BEST for service. He is always available, knowledgeable and customer centric. And, Luis alleviates the pain of sticker shock for service calls! And, if you’re ever in the market to buy a Ford, ask for Glenn Ross in sales and he WILL take care of you.BTW: Ask for Marco if Luis takes a lunch hour.
My husband and I were looking for a new, certified pre owned car and were on a budget. We called Ford on a whim and John pulled a few cars in our range to have ready for us when we got there. Everyone was so friendly and helpful when we arrived and Oscar helped us test drive and crunch numbers. We had no intent to buy something that day but within 2 hours we had a deal, they cut 5k off the asking to make the car we wanted work for us. We walked out proud owners of a 2018 Ford Edge and we love it! Thank you to the gentlemen at Ford for all your help! Souixy, Oscar and John are all awesome. :-)
John Solis go see him hes a real professional salesman who is informed about the ford products. I could not have had a better experience at Ford Marin with John. I will be doing business with John and only John in the future if you’re in the market for a new car do not hesitate to call and ask for John. Ford Marin is a must go over these so called other “dealerships” in marin that will just waste your time.
Couldn’t be happier with the customer service at Marin Ford. I worked with John, Glen and Tsoai. All good guys who helped create a first rate buying experience. Highly recommend.
Interested in a new Ford Bronco Sport I was not expecting my car buying experience to be so easy and professional, as it was recently at Marin County Ford. This was my first time buying from a Ford dealership. We wanted the hard to get Bronco Sport, and we wanted it in a very specific color called Area 51 blue. We were preparing to have to wait forever or pay extra to get it. Instead, the complete opposite happened. Apparently, this dealership is part of a large nationwide group, so they were able to locate the vehicle at one of their sister stores. The dealership’s general manager John Preston found the car and worked out a trade! We paid a great price and were able to finance it at a lower rate through Ford than we got from our normal Credit Union.Overall, the staff at Marin County Ford really impressed us and made a huge difference. A special note of thanks to Nikki Zavala, Choy Saechao and especially John Preston! Everyone there, was so professional and so accommodating. As my wife mentioned to me, “It felt more like shopping at Nordstrom than a car dealership.” Nikki was so incredibly patient with us spending a lot of time going over the vehicle in detail and making sure we understood how all the technology worked...they even synced our phones!Ford has a winner in this SUV! The Bronco Sport is fantastic! Its such an incredible ride. For a compact SUV it feels large inside. It actually turns heads everywhere we drive! We could not be happier. Now that I’ve had my first Ford buying experience… I am a customer for life!
I just purchased a pre-owned Ford Escape at Marin County Ford. My car buying experience was the best! My salesperson Oscar was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. Tsoai completed all the paperwork quickly and thoroughly, and was easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this dealership.
If you are looking for a vehicle ask for me Nikki Z, you will have a great experience 😀
I just bought a new truck at Marin Ford and my experience was Awesome! Big Thanks to Glenn Ross who was super helpful and straight forward from the get go! John the sales Manager was also very accommodating and helped me get more $ for my trade in. Amir my finance manager was wonderful as well. Thoroughly explaining all of my warranty options in great detail as well as all that paperwork! 😆 I already know your service Dept has the best reputation in the Bay Area....I have good mechanic friends that have always told me so. Well I’m off to go drive my new truck and jump my horse! Thanks Guys!💪🏽😁🏇🏼
Love Marin County Ford. Purchased a new 2020 Ford Ranger. You wouldnt know that I was Alex Perezs first sale. The team of Adam Brown, Tsoai Gordley and Alex Perez were great to work with! My wife was even able to get a new car. Couldnt be happier!
My Sales experience at Marin County. My Salesman Christian Lujano communicated through the whole process very well. Christian wasnt pushy at all. before coming in to the dealership Christian had sent me some Fusion choices in what I was looking for. He was very good about getting me price quotes with a break down of cost and monthly payment with the estimated APR options. When I got to the dealership Christian already had 1 of the cars we had talked about ready to look at and test drive. Christian let me take my time looking at the fusion inside and out. Christian let me take a real test drive on the freeway, streets and back roads to make sure that was the car I wanted. After agreeing to the purchase of the car, the car went to detail. Because the car was a left over 2017 it had developed water spots on the paint and on the Rims it also had haze on the front an rear windshield. The Detail tech that day was not able to correct those things. Christian promised to have it taken care of if I could bring the car back and leave it with them for a few days. Christian kept his word, got me a nice Fusion Loaner for the time it would take to get the Detail perfect. Christian has been honest and upfront through the whole process. I really respect that and would be happy to buy another car from Christian in the future. Thank you very much
I found the folks here to be very straight-forward and clear which I really appreciated. I bought a used truck from them last Sunday and I felt everyone there was extremely polite, professional and helpful. The transaction was very easy. And thank you very much for arranging to return my other vehicle back to Sacramento where I live! Thanks guys-especially Tsoey, and John
Bought one of my favorite car from Tsoai Gordley, very happy experience, strongly recommend this dealer!
I had a great experience at Marin County Ford. Purchased a new 2020 Ford Escape and the team there made it work for me and my budget. Adam Brown, Tsoai Gordley and Alex Perez are rock stars! Couldnt be happier.
Had a great experience purchasing a certified used 2018 Ford Edge from Marin County Ford. John Solis in sales helped us through the process and really went the extra mile. He let us test drive multiple different models with no wait time, he answered our questions and offered his knowledge on the different models, and gave us space and time when we needed to discuss our thoughts. The buying process was straightforward and John was transparent with the different line items and options available and worked with me on meeting a price that we both agreed on.The car did have a small noise issue which John helped us to get fixed under warranty. This took a bit longer than expected taking a week and a half, but John texted me everyday with an update, called me several times, and even checked in on his days off to make sure the service center was keeping on top of it. Mind you this was also after the sale had already been completed. If thats not going above and beyond I dont know what is.Thanks again to you John, Tsoai and Adam for the smooth process, we love our new car.Shout out to Roger in the service center who hooked us up with a free rental when the repairs took longer than expected.
Very friendly. Great people to work with
I friggin love this place! They are my extended fam damley :) if I put everything I wanted to in this review, no one would read it because Id go on forever! Glen and Soey, those guys are the most genuine men that I have come across in a long time. This is my 2nd car from them and as long as I live in California, I will never buy at any other dealership. Its not about a sale to these guys there. Its genuinely about helping another human and letting them experience the quality that life can have even in these dark and trying times. So, if your like me and are quickly losing faith in the humans of today and wondering if theres anyone out there anymore that is purely a kind person and cares about all that surrounds them. Well folks, I found them and their my friends at Novato Ford. I just cant say enough. They truly are amazing and caring people just here to try to help others and to be positive and to show you that some things shine brighter in the dark.
I am very turned off by this establishment. Once was a place of great business suddenly turned to a place that doesnt follow through if your not making them money. Never coming here for another car. Well that mostly depends on if those I do trust are working..
Excellent! Going to Marin county ford in Novato is a great experience, I just bought a Ford Escape and Jon Elvenia was great he was very helpful, he made the 3 hours that I spent there go by so fast he is so funny!
Thank you Edith for your great customer service last weekend. I went in with my husband as he was looking into purchasing a new truck and Edith went above and beyond in making sure things got done in a promptly time. She is the best! 👏🏼
Great experience. Nice people. Very transparent transaction. Treated us professionally but set up a casual and comfortable interaction. Would highly recommend.
Amazing customer service. Edith was an amazing help ! Definitely would recommend to friends and family looking for a new car.
Without a doubt the best car buying experience Ive ever had! Edith and her team did a fantastic job, I never felt pressured to buy, and they made the whole process easy and I knew what was going on the whole time.I cant say enough about Edith, as far as Im concerned she is underpaid. She was able to hook me up with a great loan package and a great car.And when I went back in a couple of days because I had a question about my car the sales people there were absolutely fantastic and help me out even when Edith had a day off. The entire staff at Marin Ford was fantastic and everyone gets a 5-star rating. Edith gets 6 stars. I would never hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car. Ive already told for people I know what a great experience I had. I am more than happy to leave this stunning review for a stellar dealership.
Thank you very much Tsoai Gordley you are the best .
Excellent! Fast easy helpful! Truly had a great time. I went to change some transmission fluids, it took about 2 hours....got dropped off at the mall and picked up! The consultant specialist Fran was amazing trully above and beyond of what I expected! He was kind, had a wealth of knowledge and truly cared about my car and my experience.Bravo Ford!( Have had luxury cars and the service at Ford was equally great if not better! )Very Happy Client!
Six months ago I purchased my car from Edith. I had issues in my previous marriage that messed up my credit but Edith assured me that I could buy a car with bad credit in Novato. I only had $500 to put down and a low monthly budget but she got me behind me into a car and I looked at my credit today and because of my car my credit score is going up!! I’m so happy and thankful for her experience. Also, she’s good for laughs.
I bought a 2020 Ford Ranger from Tsoai Gordley. Tsoai did a great job getting me a deal that would work within the budget parameters I had. John Preston also did a great job as manager during the deal making process and subsequent follow up on service for my Ranger. Finally, Roger Toupal in service and Mike Boasso in parts were very knowledgable and a pleasure to deal with on the service and parts side of the dealership. Im happy I was able to buy from a local dealership and look forward to continued good service from Marin Ford in the future.Id be happy to buy another vehicle from this dealership in the future.
I just purchased a newer SUV from Chris Foy at Marin County Ford. He was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable! Buying a car can be a lengthy and stressful experience but thanks to the guys at Marin Co Ford I wasn’t pressured and the whole process of buying a car was executed in a timely manner! Thank you!
As a woman, do not go here and negotiate alone. They scammed me out of my rebate. I’ll never buy a Ford again due to my experience at the Novato, CA location.
These guys are awesome!!!! Every service was fast and professional. I had a 2011 mustang which was serviced by them and now a 2018 gt. They even realized the second trip monitor on my gauge cluster matched the oil mileage and reset it. It’s the little things right?!
Not very helpful via phone, but once you go in, their service department is on it! Got the part I needed ordered and put on quickly with excellent service by the staff. Will definitely be taking my car in here again for maintenance.
I went to Marin County Ford to trade in my used vehicle. I was greeted by John Solis, who contacted me about my used car and he was very helpful in looking over my car to see whether it was worth trading in on a new car. He handed me over to Tsoai Gordley who helped me test drive and find the right car. I found that both employee where very helpful and informative. Tsoai made sure that I left with the car I wanted with the best deal possible. It is notable that they stayed with me until the process was over (9:30pm). I had a wonderful experience with Marin County Ford due to Tsoai Gordley and John Solis.
OMG I love cars and in the last 40 years i haveBought over 25 cars and seen a lot of dealsPut together for me so I Can say that no oneCan come close to marin ford there generalManager is very helpful and goes the extraMile for you. my salesman Jon E is awesomeKnowledgeable and very patient with me I knowThat was the first time I actually enjoyedMyself in a dealship it took me over 40 yearsTo find you guys but I Am sure glad I DidI recommend these guys to everyone. An amir there finance manager 5 gold starsBy himself I Believe he is the best I ever crossedPaths with in the car dealship world.
Too busy. Service appointments booked weeks out.
This place deserves more stars if I could give them! In late November my car started acting funky and a transmission failure light came on which was concerning because it is a 2017 model. I called Serramonte Ford considering I live closer to them. I told them that I had a transmission issue and they were not helpful at all and told me they couldnt get me in until January...with a transmission issue.I called Novato Ford and they got me in four days later, they got the issue figured out, their communication was great, and I was back to driving my car a week later. Highly recommend these professionals.
This is MY go to Ford dealer for all my automotive needs and maintenance. The entire staff at Marin County Ford ~ in the sales room and the service department ~ is wonderful. Theyre engaging, helpful, courteous and just all around nice. I purchased my 2017 Escape here and bring it here to Marin County Ford for ongoing scheduled car maintenance. I usually wait for my car during the service period and the time has flown by [never more than 2 hours] because they have cable TV. Whenever Ive come for service, the manager always offers me a ride to and from the local mall, Vintage Oaks, but I always stick around and wait for my car because it gives me an opportunity to relax and watch TV! Funny, but true ~ the car service time forces me to slow down!Marin County Ford is definitely a FIVE STAR car dealer!
Great prices on new cars. Super competitive compared to other dealers is the area. However, once they get you to sign, the service dives at a rate equal to or greater than the depreciation of your new car. Had a few issues with my vehicle right off the bat and got a lot of promises over the phone and even in person, but they never made things right. The service department tries their best to convince you that there is nothing wrong when there are clearly issues. Multiple times they told me that an issue I was having was like that on purpose. I also had to go back more than once for them to fix issues that they said they corrected. And when I pointed this out in a Ford customer survey, they did wash my vehicle and do the first maintenance for free. However, this resulted in my vehicle not being ready to pick up when they told me it would be ready. I even called 30 minutes before I got there and was told it was ready. I ended up wasting 30 minutes standing around. Then I get a rude comment from the service guy about how they took care of me so now I don’t have to beat them up on the next survey. Bottom line... great prices but poor service. Do like I did and buy there but go somewhere else for service. Or get their best price and take it to another dealership for them to meet or beat.I thought I would add an update to this. I took my truck back for an issue with the door lock. Their service rep wouldn’t even give me an appointment to get it looked at. He insisted that there couldn’t be any issues with the lock because the national recall didn’t cover this year and model of truck. I pleaded with him to just have someone look at it because the door would not shut right when temperatures were near freezing. He refused to schedule me an appointment. I wonder how he feels now that six months later there’s a national recall on this exact issue! They also scratched a piece of the trim on the outside of the truck when they were making a separate repair and the service rep refused to order a new piece of trim because he insisted that all the trim came scratched from the factory. Absolute terrible customer service!!! I will never go back to this dealership for anything, including purchasing a vehicle regardless of how good of a deal it is! They have definitely lost me as a customer for life and I advise all my friends, family, and coworkers to stay away from this dealership!
Wheres the option for 6 Stars? There was a system error in my favor that wedged my appointment for an oil change right in the middle of their already booked day. Fran (I believe was his name) explained the situation and helped arrive at a very amicable agreement where my car would be looked at, but he could not guarantee anything besides it would be done by the end of day. It turns out he fit it in almost immediately as he could see I was going to be waiting around for it and I was out the door in less than 90 minutes. I am very grateful for the exceptional customer service and hope that everyone that comes in knows that they are in very capable and caring hands.
Beyond over-charge: My lift gate stopped working on my Ford Escape. The service center told me it would cost $700 for them to repair it. I went home and researched the problem on YouTube, and purchased a part on Amazon for $22 which was delivered the next morning. I replaced the part myself while my laundry was drying. It works like new! This simple fix cost $22 and about 20 minutes. Shame on them!
First time taking my Ford Escape for a service at this location. Roger Toupal is friendly, funny, awesome and honest. He doesnt seem to try to con me into an additional services which at times some places try to. Roger was super helpful! He made it to be a pleasant experience. I will definitely come back to other services in the future.
I just picked an F150 Raptor here! John provided superior service, was friendly, transparent and fast! Amir walked me through the paperwork, explained everything clearly, these guys rock!
I had a great experience purchasing a new Ranger. There were cosmetic flaws in the paint and they will be addressed. They offered a loaner during the time needed to correct the flaws. I knock one star off for not taking care of a recall before purchase. *EDIT* never called me back about fixing the paint flaws on my new truck. Avoid. There are better dealers out there.
Straight forward sales process. Bought a car 3+ years ago and have used them for service ever since. They try hard to be customer centric. Loaner cars, free local shuttle service for while you wait service. Nice and pleasant staff.
I bought my 2019 f150 work truck from Edith in may- her continued service after the sale is why I rate this 5/5 stars
We purchased our car here before it changed its name. At that time the Sales service I received was very good as I was very happy the purchase. Since then I have been back for service. I feel the work they do is great. Even so the service dept communication with the customer could be better. I hope they are planning to install a carport near the service drop off area. This way durring rain or supper hot days customers can drop off or pick up there vehicles comfortably.
I just bought a brand new 2019 ford f150 and I am a happy customer
Sales staff here a super helpful and very knowledgeable. We loved purchasing from them. Felt at ease with bit too much pressure to buy right away.
We had the most awful experience ever. I am highly disappointed in the sales department, management, and finance department. It was an overall crap-fest. The salesman Ben Ritter quoted us $33,000 for a truck with $4,500 trade-in for our vehicle. We went back a week later. His word was not his bond, and he went back on what he said. He then tried to sell us the truck at $40,000 with a $2,000 trade-in for our vehicle. Then they lied about our credit score, trying to make profit off of the interest. After we left we told him we did not want to further our business there. The next day he pulled our credit again without our consent. We called the manager and he didn’t find that wrong, so no help there. It was raunchy how they dealt with us before and after. Do not buy here! We took our business elsewhere. We got a much better deal, and when they ran our credit it was 53 points higher than what Ford told us. Ford was trying to charge us 9% interest rates, while another dealership gave us a 1.9% interest rate. Also, we didn’t even need to trade in our vehicle. Do not get sucked in to these scams because dealerships often use this tactic - telling you your credit is lower than what it is so that they can bank off the interest you pay.
This is a review for the service department. Excellent customer service, Bob and the team took care of us promptly and were great communicators. Highly recommended over Serramonte for folks in the city.
The Service Department is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. It took me a week to get speak with someone for an appointment. I finally got ahold of Bob the SM and he was unapologetic for my inconvenience.I brought my car in and went over what needed to be serviced/looked at with Luis. Basic requests.... We received a call around lunch time that my car was ready for pickup. Great! Once we arrive Im at the checkout counter( Gal could not answer any questions about my car) I waited in another line for Luis. I inquired about a specific item I asked to be looked at. His response was oh no the mechanic “forgot” to do that you’ll have to bring it back another day. Wow!!!!I get in my car to leave and my “check tire pressure light” is still on. Hmm I guess he “forgot” to fix that too. Long story.. we left my car another night and had to delay our holiday plans. Walnut Creek Ford Service Department is 💯 better than Novato.
I went to the service department to get a recall that had been pending for 8 months because the parts were not available anywhere. Carlos the Service Manager not only had the parts in stock but he schedule me in the same day as a walk in and got my car back on the road the next day. Great experience. Definitely recommend.
Just bought my second car from them! Great service dept. I have had the same person from Day 1. Both experiences purchasing a car have been A+. No pressure from sales people, very straight forward team.
I had a great experience buying my Mustang here. I also purchased the CarDoc service package when I bought it. On my second service I scheduled it on the phone and was told I would receive a phone call to set up my loaner car. I had to call the day before my appointment as I never got a call. Luckily Rodger was on the phone. He did not have my appointment on his schedule but took care of me anyway. He also got a loaner car set up for me. He told me I would get a call once my car was finished. I never got a call and called 2 days later and he said that he did call and leave me a message. A clear indicator that there is a problem with communication here. Roger is the man and took care of me none the less. I suggest Ford invest in a better process in actually communicating to their customers who spend thousands on service. I already paid for this and it shouldnt be this difficult to get it scheduled.
Thinking about purchasing a Ford Focus in the next two weeks. Journey has a great team. I felt very comfortable during my entire visit. I hear nothing but great things about these guys and now I know why.
William said his service technician was great and he was happy to get his vehicle fixed. He said Roger handled it very professionally and he was very courteous with him. Roger followed up with him and told him what needed to be done.
If you need recall work... GOOD LUCK, I have been calling Marin Ford EVERY week since Dec. 2017. They tell me to call back every week. THIS IS INSANE!! They dont want to do work that will not put $ in their pockets. Because of this I will NEVER buy a Ford from them!!!
The service department has been wonderful to work with. They has really gone above and beyond to help me out. Much appreciated.
This dealer has no professionalism, I exchanged all the possible information to not waste my time going to them, and was told that I would have no problems, I spent 1: 20h driving to the dealer, I waited for another 3h the approval process of my purchase, so they tell me to come back the other day because my credit was low and that I did not have to worry that it would be approved, the next day I send a message to know how they are and they return saying that I would have to give $ 2500 more in the downpayment, I said it was a lot, and in less than 20 minutes of conversation, and I negotiating the downpayment, they return the message saying that they sold the car to someone else in the morning, I want to understand how companies of this type continue to work, make people a fool and nothing happens. So I recommend to get away from this place, especially if you get in touch with Danny and Chris .. thanks!
We use Marin County Ford to help service our fleet vehicles.
These guys have been so good to me. Roger is my service advisor. My Ford Edge is under great care. Really enjoy this service center.
Fast and friendly service with no unexpected surprises. They help keep our Escape running great!!
This business is great. I usually gets helped by Roger and I did not know what to expect with Hiram, but Hiram was wonderful and I was as satisfied with him as I am with Roger. I was thrilled with the quality of service from this business.
I just bought a 2010 Ford F-150!!! Im so excited!!!!!! Best experience ever. Be sure to ask for Edith if you need a car!!
Spoke with Scott. He said Fran is awesome. Fran deserves a raise and should be given a new Mustang every year for being such a great employee.
Richard said his service manager, Fran, was outstanding and does a good job in leading his technicians. The personnel are very business like, yet very friendly. They do great work and advise him correctly.
When I walked into the business it was like back in the 50s. Everyone was smiling; they were very helpful and kind. There was no delay and they directed you exactly where you needed to go. They went above and beyond and Roger, the service advisor, actually took the piece out and tagged it for me to get it taken care of. The shuttle service was very nice and everything was positive.
Worse experience ever with the service department when the automotive its under warranty wow they are amazing once its out of warranty they willing to do nothing for you. Even tho they were the only ones that touch my car the first 2 times it went then the 3rd time same issue as the last 2 times but now they cant fix it cause its out warranty come on seriously worse
This business is great. They did an exemplary job. I brought in a certified pre-owned vehicle I wanted from another place for them to check out and do a diagnostic. They discovered a bad catalytic converter, which the auto business that wants to sell me the vehicle told me theyd replace. I was completely satisfied.
My husband was very satisfied with his overall experience. There was a sales lady aware that this vehicle lease would be up in three months and was very knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant.
I must say I thought it was a good experience till the sale was final. They lost the only thing I wanted off my trade in and have been getting the run around ever since.I even arranged to go up and deal with the problems however when I showed up at the arranged time, no one was there! If you are going to buy a car, stay away from them.On a bright note the service dept is nice and friendly.
I have bought or leased all of my cars (4) from this dealership for 11 years. Todays Escape, Fusion, or C-Max are not your Fords of yesteryear. These cars have beautiful designs, abundant technology, and have provided my family with practically repair-free vehicles for over a decade. We currently average 63 mpg on our commuter cars. Lastly, the deals you can get at this dealership are nothing short of awesome.See Amir, the salesman I have worked with for 3 years. If you finance your purchase or lease agreement through Ford Credit, Toyota wont be able to touch the deal youll get.
Nice and friendly employees. Great selection
Update 3/26/19:I had an issue with my vehicle recently and Marin County Ford surpassed my expectations with their commitment to my satisfaction. I’ll keep updating this review with my positive experiences as I have them with MCF. Honest business practices deserve to be respected, and MCF has acted with integrity whenever I’ve dealt with them.Original post:I had the best vehicle purchasing experience ever at Marin County Ford. The distinguished gentleman who helped me, Jason, was extremely pleasant to work with, honest, and knowledgeable. The other staff I was fortunate enough to meet were also extremely respectful and intelligent. They have high standards at this place!I’m very happy that I purchased the extended warranty and service packages when I bought my beautiful Mustang from them, as it means I’ll have a positive reason to come back and see all these good people again! When I get this one paid off and it comes time to get another new Mustang, I’ll be coming right back to this place. If you need a new Ford vehicle and want to go to a dealership where they treat you like a person and not a walking checkbook, go to Marin County Ford. I’d rate them ten stars if Google would let me.
Very impressed with the Service Dept. at Marin County Ford. We travel full time and while traveling / staying in Novato CA, our truck needed service. Both times the service Dept handled our request with professionalism. We only service our F250 Diesel at a Ford Dealerships so weve had our share of 1 Stars and 5 Star service depts. Marin County Ford Service Dept is definitely a 5 Star service.Great job!!!
Roger my service advisor is the best. Always helpful and pleasant
Just leased a brand new 2017 Fusion Energi from Marin County Ford, and the entire experience has been great. I love in Fresno, and they had the car delivered to me the next day. (The only reason it didnt happen on day one is because I waited too long to make my decision). Dealt with Ben over the phone the whole time, and he really did everything he could to make sure I got the car I wanted, at the price I wanted. Patrick and Danny Connelly helped make the deal work along with Justin Miranda, and I couldnt be happier. I also want to say a big thank you to Tom, who drove the car more than 200 miles to my house. Then he had to drive the whole way back in my trade in. I really appreciate what everyone I just mentioned did to get me in the exact car I wanted. I plan to check out this dealership for every other car purchase going forward.
Roger and Denne always make service visits quick and easy.
Purchased a 2014 F-150 from Marin County Ford, smooth, easy, and got a decent price. With the purchase of a used truck they give you 2 years of car-doc service, which is free oil changes + some other stuff. Its a nice deal as these trucks take 8 quarts of oil... but the experience of using it was a total disaster.Wife has a day off so she takes the truck in to their service department (with an appointment scheduled well in advance). They take the truck around 1pm and say few hours, and theyll call when its done. She waits down the road at a coffee shop as hours go by, no calls. Finally around 5:30pm she calls the service department only to find that THEY HAVE GONE HOME. She is now stuck, with no car, an hour drive from home. She hurries back to the dealership and fortunately there was a salesperson there to get the key. They say its all done & ready to go, truck is parked on the street.I found it strange that they didnt reset the oil mileage warning, so I checked the oil, seems kinda dirty but who knows... checked the oil filter and its covered in mud, from a trip about 1 month earlier.Turns out they did nothing. They claimed they changed the oil & filter, and didnt. Complete waste of a day, and potentially hazardous as I was departing on a 5000 mile trip within days. This was months ago.. I emailed them about this through their website, no response. Emailed victory auto group, also no response. Combination of poor quality & poor customer service = 1 star.Im never going back and you shouldnt either. Even to get my free service.More recently: I had a flat tire, and got a chance to closely inspect at the aftermarket rims (came preinstalled on it). While they look great, the rims are narrower than the tire manufacturers recommended safe width. Now I have to buy all new rims to fit the truck tires, or put skinny car tires on the truck. Probably not a huge deal, but its carelessness or cutting corners.
Let me disclose the only reason I take my car here is due to the extended warranty. I purchased it from Albany Ford (LOVE them) however it is not super convenient for servicing since I live in Marin.I am typically able to get my vehicle in at 3 weeks to 1 month out due to Saturday being the only day I can leave the car with them all day. They do not offer rentals while yours is being serviced, nor do they offer out of town ride for work, etc.Be cautious when you sign anything! (Yes, I should have already known)I thought I was signing a release for them to assess the issue, but it was permission to do the work if it was under an allotted amount. Not the best surprise to come back to.The most helpful, and kind person is the woman taking payment or getting you set up after you have work done. Everyone else has been condescending, assuming you dont know anything when asking legitimate questions or calling them out on their wrong doing.
Got a good deal on a beautiful used car that 9 months after still looks like new. The service people were super nice and professional too.
Good sales staff. Great service department.. Especially Rodger.
Waited 3 weeks to get an extended warranty appointment. Scheduled an appointment first thing in the morning on a Thursday. Already knew it was an alternator. Jason in service had all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday. On Wednesday when we had scheduled to pick up the vehicle were told the wrong part was sent. 5 business days for an hour and a half job. RIDICULOUS!
I have been working with “D” for the past week looking at different new and used trucks. D is very polite, no BS guy, extremely professional. Then the “Sales Manager,” Patrick Connelly came in to show me “numbers” for the truck I was interested in. He was clearly annoyed me when I questioned the “deal” he was giving me. Then he said “look, I’m going to do you a favor and show you how much we paid for the car.” Ok, I’m 53 years old.... having been through this process a time or two in my life and I know that game about “showing the customer what the dealership paid for the car”... THEY DON’T! So when I told him I knew this game already, he said “you’re a very cynical person aren’t you!? I’m done here, what do you want to do?” I explained to him that I have done a lot of research and I was attempting to get the best deal I could, as all good consumers do. He said “well let me know what you want to do” and he got up and walked away.I feel sorry for D, the nicest guy ever, for having to have his sales manager basically blow a deal right out of the water. I’ve NEVER experienced such rude behavior from someone who is suppose to be a “manager.” I’ll go elsewhere to make my purchase as I have MANY other options. Shame on you Patrick Connelly for your behavior. You shouldn’t be working with people, you should be in a basement counting paperclips out of public view.
Honest Service Department, great customer service.
I called this dealership because they had a preowned F250 listed online that I wanted. After negotiating the price over the phone with salesman Jon Elvenia I agreed to buy the truck but needed about an hour to make arrangement to fly out from San Diego and also get them the agreed deposit. Fast forward an hour and I called Jon back excited with good news that I manged to buy my airline ticket for the following day and was about to give him my credit card number for the deposit...Nope! in the hours time that it took me to buy my ticket this snake of a salesman dishonored our agreement and instead sold the truck to a walk-in, whats worse is that after complaining about the unethical sales tactic I was promised by the internet manger by the name of Richard Colbert that he would find me another truck and still honor the agreement, that turned out to be another lie! he told me that he would send me pictures of 3 other trucks but never did.So beware! after dealing with the lies I would NOT trust them and Id be a fool to believe any response they may have after the fact, they had ample time to make things right and now its too late.Very dissatisfied
Took our Escape here for service, had an issue with the part I had ordered a few days before... Anyway, the service team worked hard to correct the issue and turned what could have been an ugly situation into an incredibly positive one. Thanks, you will definitely have my business in the future!
Fail, fail, and fail. Ford Warranty services or lack thereof. The red tape of requiring Techs that they be able to recreate a situation that happens only in the rarest of times(extremely dangerous loss of power while accelerating), deems them worthless. If you cant touch the truck without a computer telling you a code, then what good are you as mechanics/service? What good is Ford warranty services if they dont have the good sense to just fix it based on my word as a man honest top paying customer(we own several F150s). Dont wait for it to fail Ford. And since thats your MO, you fail. Horribly. Last Ford truck we buy for this company while I have a say in it. The easiest fix couldve kept us buying new trucks every year. Looks like Toyotas n Chevys here on out. Yelp, here I come.PS-the one thing that Service supposedly fixed, was not fixed(door panel). The panel started rattling a week later and was loose from door hardware that was installed backwards or not at all. You guys fail.
The new Service Manager, Carlos is a good addition to the team. Appears to be very helpful.
Great dealer, they treated me super cool and got me a car the same day!!!
I went in looking to upgrade my vehicle and found just the right guy to help me, Eric! He found the right car for my family and I and really made the process much easier than I thought it could be. I was on a tight schedule & Eric went way above and beyond, lining up the paperwork, making phone calls, running around the lot & just being a great guy. Saidu in finance was also very helpful, friendly & efficent. I cannot think of a better car buying expirience! Thank you to Eric & the team over at Marin County Ford here in Novato!
We live in San Francisco. When we 1st went to Our local dealer, which we had been dealing w/ since 2003 for our Ford Taurus purchased New, and paid cash for it. 1st Generation. They treated us well, till the warranty ran out. The repairs, the cost, enough said. Tried to give them another chance, ( Thinking New Blood, new employees). 2nd Generation,2015 We walked in with 3/4 deposit, stated what we wanted and what we wanted our monthly payments to be. They told us what they could do and made us fill our color. Not today and not anymore!Marin County Ford reached out to us via internet. Glenn Ross has since sold us our 3rd car. We have intentions of bringing 3rd (our son) Generation to Marin County Ford, which will be our 4th car.One leaf from the Family tree fell,But another one has grown in its place.Thank you Glenn, Edith, and Marin County Ford

There is ZERO accountability in the service department from the person who answers the phone too the manager who tells you hes on his way out and blames the technician who isnt there.THIS IS SOMEONES FAULT TAKE OWNERSHIP! BECAUSE SO FAR THE MANAGER HASNT AND THE TECHNICIAN HASNT. WHERE DOES THE BUCK STOP!?!?!?If you are reading this and have any doubts about coming here, please I beg of you, consider other mechanics, because the amount of inconvenience and frustration I have dealt with could easily be you.P.S.Dear owner,I would greatly advise you to remove this behavior from your establishment as another customer has been lost due entirely to poor service but more importantly inept customer service.
Excellent service, nothing else needed to say. Just bought a car today after losing my original car to a hit-and-run accident. Shout out to Damion Wiggan.
