Mike and Lee were over the top helpful in my tire purchase and installation… I have a van and it needed a specialized set-up… they were recommended to me by Owl Vans as the only tire store to trust with this intricate process… Mike got me in right away even though they had a full house and both gentlemen were kind and professional and even let my dog stay in the waiting room and made us feel welcome… Luis did an amazing job with install in the back .. I highly recommend Toscalitos for tire prices and professionalism of staff - great experience!

Have a Tesla with no key fob had to open it manually for them upon request. They never got frustrated they were easy to work with I highly recommend them

Dropped off my car to get an alignment and 1 tire replaced after my tire blew out on the freeway (got this tire from here as well and it was only a year old.... not sure why it broke so fast). The guy at the counter tried to upsell me for 3 new tires when my front tires are perfectly fine and will be probably for another year. After attempting to upsell me and mansplain we told him we were going to a movie and would be back after the movie but we got back 3 hours and 45 minutes later and the car hadnt been touched. They were just going over to start the work on my car. 45 minutes later (the actual amount of time it should take to do the work) the car was done. Wouldve been nice to know that it was going to take 4 and a half hours to just replace 1 tire and do an alignment.

Amazing experience! Got a flat tire in a rental car and Mike and Tony were so accommodating and helpful! We were running late for a reservation and they got us in and out in 30 minutes!

Ive taken my car to Toscalito Tire in Novato twice and both times were very good experiences.I used to take my car to a competitors shop in downtown Novato but after a HORRIFIC experience I decided to branch out and Im glad I did. The GM Craig and Asst. Mgr Mike are good peeps and they offer great customer service and value.Full disclaimer: I do not like taking my car to any shop to get work done and I prefer doing it myself but I do not have a an alignment rack so here I am.I would highly recommend taking your vehicle here especially if you have a performance vehicle. I often have a hard time trusting my cars to shops after several bad experiences but I would feel very comfortable trusting the staff here with my car.

Lee knew I was on a tight deadline and budget and he worked with me to get the repairs I needed fast. I couldn’t be happier with his help in a time of stress for me.

I took my car in for a quick trip check. Leigh called to tell me that I needed a more serious repair. If he and the mechanic hadnt caught the issues, more than likely I would have been broken down somewhere between SF and LA.I have been taking my car to Leigh at Toscalito Tire for years. Leigh explains all of the issues so I can understand them. Many auto repair shops talk down to women - not Leigh. I drive to Novato from SF for repairs. It is worth the drive. They are conscientious and do the work on time.

No business should rely on one exemplary employee to bring in work and insure that its completed to a clients satisfaction and I sincerely hope that isnt the case here. However we go because Lee is there and likely wouldnt if he wasnt. The rest of the group seems superb

All I’m going to say is get a second opinion. These guys quoted me twice as much as another mechanic to get my car up & running. This place also “diagnosed” an issue on a part I was told by another mechanic did not need repairing.

Horrible customer service. If costcos is 10 toscalito is ZERO. The manger just defends their limitations and incompetence. How many trips does it takes to change into new tires? Six and i still have to go somewhere to fix the mess they created. Toscalito is a tire company that cannot even read the label on the car. They put wrong size and messed up suspension, tires rubbing every turn. Messed up on alignment completely once the right tires were put on. Endless woes and totally unprofessional and incompetent on the one thing they claim to know. There are so many choices, why choose misery and pay for it. The manager is clueless about repairs or service. They have bad reputation. I wish i had listened.

I brought my 1997 Acura CL in to replace a blown out tire on 11/7/2020Leigh Connor informed me that one of the other tires should be replaced, and then he said the CV Boot ripped open and there was little to no grease in joint to keep it lubed. I usually take my car to Acura Dealership, but I will now be giving my business to Toscalito !!!It took one day for the crew to locate the proper part and Tony and Craig kept me posted via phone as to when the part would arrive. Leigh Connor also brought out the broken CV Boot to show me how bad it had become! I waited in the immaculate waiting room until I was told that they didnt have the part...and every customer that came in seemed to be very happy regulars. I have purchased some tires for the Acura in the past, but didnt know that Toscalito also did Auto Repair :)I will be a regular customer and inform my friends to follow suit by using your wonderful repair/tire store.Keep up the GREAT work!!! I just brought my 1997 Acura CL in on September 1, 2021 for clogged windshield wiper sprayer, tire rotation,oil change and anything else this very honest establishment told me that I needed. Lee called me and informed of original radiator hoses and clamps were crunchy and needed to be replaced. He also said that the timing belt had been replaced 12 years ago, but only had 24k miles on it so we should keep an eye on it.Also replaced thermostat and gasket.I used to take my Acura to the dealership where i purchased it used...but I am so glad to have found Novato Toscalito Tire and Automotive to take care of my old but still low mileage Acura!!! Called to schedule an appointment for a brake change. And he gave me so much different reasons of why and what i need changed. Annoying!!!!!! I just want one thing. Nothing more. Simple. But you just lost a customer thats less money in your pocket. Wow

Leigh Connor - simply said is a wonderful store manager, and easy to work with, and so were all of the mechanic pros that work there.Leigh in particular took me in for an emergency 4-tire replacement, alignment and shuttled me locally in Novato to and from work. My work took a two day appt., and they squeezed me in, and I love how my car performs on the long distance highways, with my 50-mi round trip commute.Tires are the best for the heavy back end of that prius I own and the alignment for those type cars are super tricky because of the frame to case the battery system but its straight as an arrow, and turns hug the road and this is my new place.Cheers!

Big thank you to Toscalito Novato! I was driving home on 101N the other day and my low tire pressure warning light came on, indicating that one of my tires was at 20 vs 37. I needed gas as well so I stopped at the gas station. By the time I got gas it was really flat. Another customer at the gas station mentioned Toscalito was close by. I filled up the tire and drove to Toscalito. It was 4:50 and they close at 5:00 but they took care of me because they knew I needed the help. Thank you so much for fixing my tire that day when I’m sure you all wanted to go home!

I was in need of a new tire the day after the power outages came back on and the people in Novato were more than kind to help me and get me up and running with a new tire. Their recommendation of insurance on the tire was well worth $6! two weeks later a screw got into my tire. I went in to the Novato location and was helped with kindness - driven home, driven back when the tire was ready and no charge! a very happy customer...

These guys were amazing! found a small leak in my wifes car and gave me a good price. After that my battery in my own car died and they let me borrow a battery kit to jump start my car! These guys are good honest people that are here to help. Ill definitely be going back for all my services!

Generally, service and prices are reasonable. I took my car in for an oil change and a new set of tires. As usual, I got a call with other things that should be done. It was recommended that I have my brake fluid changed because there was over 4% water content. This seemed strange since the brake fluid was flushed and replaced at Honda just last November. I declined the suggestion. When I came to pick up my car I asked how the measurement was made and if it was accurate. John offered to show me and we checked my brake fluid with the device. It showed just 1% water content. He apologized and said it was a tech error. My concern is how many of the suggestions for service are not valid causing unneeded service?

Wife was told over the phone that she was not able to put in a request for an appointment to have her tire fixed, and to simply bring the car by and leave it and it would be looked at by the end of the day. Next day, I go to drop off the car and was asked by the counter if I had an appointment for our car. I let him know what was said to us, to which I got the blankest stare back and shrugged shoulders and saying that without an appointment no fix could be made. Crazy that I have been coming to this location for over five years with no issues with customer service, but I guess this new batch of people are not in the same category as our old crew. I will NEVER use another Toscalito service center again simply due to the indifference that I felt today.

My last trip here on my way to Oregon was nothing but great, unfortunately I moved away and will most likely not get to bring my car to my favorite shop any longer. As I said my last trip to Toscalito in Novato was outstanding, they got my vehicle in did an inspection with my service, showed me what was going on and fixed it in a timely manner. While I was waiting they had several customers come in for help, being in customer service for as long as I have, I could see I was not the only one they handled very well. Andre, Pablo and Craig are very gracious and honest. I tried to Yelp what I experienced several times at this shop, but for some reason they take it down and hide it in a filtered section with about 40 other 5 star reviews. Thanks again Toscalito Novato for several great years of service.

I cant understand why customer service is so bad. We used to buy all our tires there; 3 vehicles and a boat trailer, but when I took my wifes car in to see if she had a leak (and she did) they wouldnt help me TWICE. So Big O is now our choice.

I have had two different mechanical break downs on my 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe. this past year. Toscalito was able to diagnose the problems right away .They actually had me look at the underside of my car while it was on the rack to show me exactly where a leak was coming from. My previous mechanic supposedly fixed this leak two times... it was coolant dripping on my driveway. Both previous repairs didnt solve the problem. On the third time, I finally went to Toscalito, they diagnosed it and fixed it within two hours.

Recently the Check Tire Pressure warning popped up and my tire guage wasnt helping diagnose the problem! I put air in, but it didnt register....I stopped by Toscalito, by then it was lunchtime, and requested assistance. These men couldnt have been nicer and more helpful! Manual came right over to my car, took the pressure (his guage worked!), filled my tires, and gave me a new plug for one tire that was missing one! Then he asked me if he could reset the computer, so it wouldnt keep showing the warning sign!!!! And, all for free...yes, free! He also informed me that if I ever needed help to come in and he would be happy to check the problem!I dont usually write this kind of review, but these guys were so nice and helpful I just had to let others know!!!

Misdiagnosed problem. Cost me $600 for part replacement I did not need AND had to return the truck because tires out of balance. Did not fix original problem. Would not go back again

I had a flat and aaa towed me to this shop so it was my only option. I had to pay $200 in labor for 2 new tires because of 1 flat. Horrible customer service and the staff talking about drinking was more important then helping customers waiting infront of them.When I called at 7:30am after droping my car off the night before I was told a tire repair service would be performed sometime between now and 5pm. I called 5 hours later and was given the same answer rude answer.I hope nobody else gets trapped at this repair shop like I did and get rapped with over price charges.

I went here for tires and was happy but not blown away. I went back becasue my car broke down, and had the best possible experiance. They had 3 different people check it out before telling me what was wrong becasue they wanted to be 100% sure what was wrong. I thought I blew a head gasket and lost the motor, but it turned out to just be a $200.00 repair! They knew I though it was a lost cause and still didnt try to rake me over the coals! Thanks guys! You have a customer for life!
