We had a custom tool made for a customer and what was supposed to be an 8 week lead time turned into a 10 month ordeal.The tool was made after 4 months and after shipped to customer it was wrong. Sent back and they were trying to fix it. Unfortunately they could not after 2 months. Its ok...it happens of course but then we couldnt get a refund they promised. Took 5 more months to get a refund check after numerous attempts to get one. They deducted 2 stop check payment they said they sent but no proof of that when asked. We lost our customer and lost $150 from stopped check and overnighter a check to us.Communication would have saved a lot of time. They blamed us for not getting the check?m the first 2 times? Not sure how that happens.All in all...customer service and communication could have helped a smoother process. We may have been able to save our customer and remain a customer of theirs as well. Didnt work out that way.
