I had a great experience at Davis Eye Center! All the staff were very helpful and friendly and everything turned out smoothly. At a typical eye doctor, I’m usually in there for two or more hours and that’s just to be seen! At Davis, they are quick and efficient and you won’t be disappointed!

I was able to secure an appointment rather quickly for myself and my daughter. The process was seamless, and fun actually. I was fitted for contacts, and my daughter was able to snag a pair of sleek designer glasses. I do appreciate the patience, and attention to detail from the doctor. The assistants were very patient as I tried to insert and remove my contacts as well. I was also very pleased with the experience. I will certainly return for my, and my family’s eye care needs. Definitely recommend.

Brought my son here to get contacts, they decided that he didn’t grasp inserting and removing contacts to their liking, so after 1-1/2 hours told me he will have to come back to try again. They would not give me samples to have him practice with, or even allow me to purchase contacts/ they also wouldn’t release his prescription without their approval. The boy just wants to play football, don’t waste your valuable time dealing with their nonsense.

Professional, customer service and family friendly, on time and they have a very pleasant attitude with everything you ask. Jason just helped me pick out the best frames and he was one on one with me and I felt good after not knowing what frame to pick after I just lost mine. The staff explains everything from the time you call, your arrival and departure. Great job!! They even mailed my daughter glasses while she was in school that helped me out so much!!! Thanks

Went in very excited for a routine eye exam and was treated very cold and uninterested by all of the staff even though I arrived on time and THEY were delayed, then I felt rushed, and the office is old and outdated. I only went here because my insurance “covered it” only to be told of extra fees afterwards. Will not recommend, there’s much better eye doctors who have genuine interest in patients and better offices at more affordable rates.

I went into Davis eyewear last year in 2020 right around the time COVID-19 was escalating to get a eye exam. Because of the increase in nos I was not able to return for my contact pick-up/ adjustable. I canceled my appt for over 10 months. I returned to complete my contacts adjusted and I was charge another contact fitting fee. I really needed my contacts so I paid it. My eyes was reexamined and there was an attempt to fit my for the correct prescription. I was told the contacts prescription I need was not on site, it had to be ordered. Three weeks in, I didnt hear anything so I called and was told the contacts was not in.Weeks passed so I stopped in a was given a pair to try thats still not the correct prescription. I would like a refund for my second charge for examination. Not right!

Arrived 10 minutes before my appointment. They got me in right away. Dr. Cogswell was awesome. Great experience.

They have an excellent choice of frames. I introduce my daughter and granddaughters to Davis Eye Care and they like going there. My daughter really like the services and the frames as well.

Just to let you know ask what’s covered under your insurance plan beforehand Davis eye care purposely takes several tests then tells you after it’s done u need to pay out of pocket your insurance doesn’t cover this then try’s to hustle you about contact insurance when clearly I stated I’m not interested there crooks all they care about is money and not your health

I placed a order for contacts and never got them because they never shipped them out. So I asked for a refund and still haven’t received a refund. It has been over a month now. Will never go here again.

The Dr’s and optical staff are very friendly and the office is clean, but there is absolutely no follow through. I ordered glasses 6 weeks ago and was told it would be up to 3 weeks due to pandemic. I called at 4 weeks and was told they would call to see what was going on and call me back. No return call. I called at 5 weeks and was told by receptionist she would have them call be back. No call back..... called again today. Exceptional rude receptionist told me once again someone would call back. Couldn’t tell me who it would be or when.Overall perception, they have my money already and could care less about me. Been going here for quite a few years. Definitely won’t be ordering glasses again.

I felt safe is regards to COVID-19, waited in my car to be called in to the office. There was distance between patients and a temp check. I was seen by a resident, she was great, explained everything clearly. I honestly come back to Davis eye care because of the awesome team in the optical, shout out to Janette who is always friendly, helpful, and makes picking out my new pair of glasses fun.

Doctors here probably the best I had and I am eyeglass wearer since birth. However I ordered glasses 3 weeks ago and was told latest it will be ready in 2 weeks. Called to follow up at 2 weeks was told 2 more days and itll be ready. Called 2 days later and receptionist now is telling me they dont even know when I have my glasses and is not even willing to go and check proximate date.... Now I usually dont post negative reviews like this because I get that place is busy but receptionist was just most ignorant person that I have talked to in a long time. Its a shame because this is front face off the entire office.

I took an eye exam and ordered a pair of glasses December 18th 2020, I was told it will be ready in two weeks. Glasses just got ready February 10th 2021, two months after. I drove an hour to pick it up but they put in the wrong prescription. Everytime I called, a girl called Adriana answers the phone, she has the worst attitude ever. She told me she mailed my insurance card out and I should keep checking my mailbox, only to find out it was still there in the office when I went today. Theres no way she should be in the front desk or be a customer rep. She also said it was my fault because I included color coat as advised by a gentleman since my insurance was paying for it. Adriana has anger issues and Im sure this is not the first time someone is reporting about her. Fix your attitude. Now time to play the waiting game and see how long it will take to correct the error. Doctor said they put in negative instead of positive. Interesting.

Amid COVID-19 I was concerned Love the decor very clean, inviting and comfortable. Got eye exam all equip was immediately disinfected. Every frame I touched was piled to be wiped down. This will definitely be my new permanent eye doctor. 08/2020. Oh and variety of frames

I was a new patient at the Davis Eye Care on 02 July 2020 for eye exam in new glasses. I understand during this time dealing with covid-19 there was going to be a wait, and from the offset the staff was very professional. I met with Dr. Robert Davis for my eye exam and he was just great he explained some things about my eyes that I didnt realize he was just great. After that I proceeded to the second half of my eye exam and this is where my experience went downhill. While waiting to complete the second half of my eye exam one of the optometrist assistants Im not sure of her name but I know she has several tattoos on her forearm. Decided to totally skip over me for whatever reason and pull someone else and before me. This increase my time there by a additional 30 minutes. I dont know why she skipped over me but Im kind of hard to miss 605, 270 lb black male. Maybe she was having a bad day and wasnt on her a game I pray that she gets better at her job. However one of her co-workers quickly realized the mistake in got me inside for the second half of the eye exam along with Dr. Robert Davis got me fitted for new glasses and out of the office and less than 10 minutes thank you guys. My review of this place would have been higher but I can only give it three stars at this point because of what one of the optometrist assistant did. It wasnt the fact that she skipped over me, I realize we all make mistakes but she couldnt even look at me and a knowledge the fact she had skipped over me and apologize. Again one of her co-workers quickly realize the mistake and was very professional and apologize for the mistake. Schedule to pick up my new glasses in a week or so we will see how that goes.

First time there and was very impressed! Had a problem with my eye for days...had no idea what was wrong. The doctors got me right in and diagnosed me within 2 mins. The treatment she gave for my eye infection worked overnight. Already clearing up beautifully! Very friendly staff as well. I will definitely be back!

I received excellent services from Dr. Davis. I was seen promptly Myexamination was thorough. Dr. Davis carefully listened to me and answered all of my questions about treatment options for eye Care. Also, assistants upheld Covid19 prevention standards by enforcing mask wearing rules as well as sanitizing furniture and equipment.

My husband had an eye appointment on September 1st (three weeks ago). The only star this review gets is one, for the doctor, because after his exam, while about 4 employees loudly gossiped as if they were women in a yoga class, he was measured for frames instead of trying frames on. The frames, that fit his facial measurement were going to be ordered and he was told it would take up to two weeks and they would call him when the glasses were in. It’s now three weeks later, he called Friday, they told him they were in the finishing stages and they will be ready Monday, today is Monday and we were told they were in the finishing stages, again. Yet when a request to speak to a manager or one of the ophthalmologists, everyone seems to always be busy. I wonder what Davis Eye Care defines busy as... does busy mean we are in the middle of a gossip session? Does busy mean we are measuring customers for frames instead of letting them try them on? Regardless, this is the most unprofessional eye center I’ve ever experienced, and I highly recommend you find another office to get your exam at.

And everyone has always been relatively nice but for some reason maybe they were feeling the pressure of the demand to get people their product idk 🤷🏽‍♀️ but some failed to give good customer service. I am warning anyone who want to go to this place . It is a rip-off.Even the doctors are not honest in their medical opinion . All they want ; how to get yo your pocket.the staff is so rude not professional. I will never going back to them again . I had an eye exam, the doctor said i need soft lenses and expesive operation. And after the exam, the doctor took my paper straight to their optical center in the same clinic.Their frames ae so expensive, i dont want to make my glasses in there. The give me hard time to give my prescription, so, i can go somewhere to do my glasses. Also, i had a second opinion, i dont need the operation or the soft lenses.

I am very very disappointed in this eye center although Ive been going there for a couple years, the professionalism and the help from the staff is very poor. I have been calling for nearly a week to speak with someone regarding my prescription and have yet to get a call back. Needless to say I will not continue to use this facility for my eye care.

Office got us in on two hour notice for an emergency. Doctor and nurses were very friendly and nice to my 11 year old daughter. Highly recommend.

Awful customer service. Little to no proactive follow-up from staff. Emails and calls get attention for a moment and then seem to get forgotten. Ive had several interactions like this over a the span of a couple years, its systemic and not intermittent. The owners need to overhaul how staff to customer interactions are tracked and handled and ensure communication and resolution of issues have proper oversight and are not simply lost for weeks at a time.

I took my mother to a standard anual eye exam everthing was fine up until we had to deal with JASON DAVIS he was completely rude and unprofessional and hostile towards us.. he was claiming my mom has to pay for the glasses i politely told him she has insurance and we been coming here for 3 years and the insurance always pays for it. JASON DAVIS seemed to hate dealing with people who have insurance from the state i told him we no longer want the glasses due to his horrific attitude i asked for the prescription so we can get the glasses elsewhere he demanded i delete all the videos i took of him with his hostile behavior he kicked us out and told us we are no longer welcome here he made my mother cry we felt that we were discriminated against because we are arab. i pray that JASON DAVIS learns how to treat all customers with respect and dignity as he is required to i still have the videos of how bad he treated us and i will make sure all my friends and family never go to that place ever again

I really liked the visit here. I took my two toddlers... 6 years old and 4 going on 5. They are very active so I was hoping the visit wasnt too long and it wasnt. Our Dr. was very kid friendly and patient, there were also 2 women who did some more tests and they were nice, everyone was very nice. My daughter doesnt know all of her alphabets and they were able to accommodate with pictures which wasnt an option at some other eye doctors. My babies will be going back next year and Im going to go there for my next eye exam. Thank you.

If you would have asked me what I thought about this place a year ago it would have told you I love it the service and the doctors. My feelings towards this place has changed due to the a necessary named Sandy she was extremely RUDE! My family has been coming to this place for years. My mom had called to make an appointment for my siblings and asked if she there was someone available that spoke Spanish, Sandy said no. My mom asked if someone who spoke Spanish would be available any other day because her English is choppy. Sandy kept saying no cutting my mom off. I then translated and tried making an appointment for my sister and every time I tried to speak she would cut me off and would not let me finish my sentence. After she would finally listen and let me speak she asked for my insurance and said we wont take it I said thats fine I would still like to make an appointment. Sandy then began to cut me off saying we are not going to take it I then stated I understand I would still like to make an appointment and would not let me speak. After a couple minutes my mom then called back asked to see when a translator would be available hoping that someone other than Sandy would help her. Again she kept snapping at my mom which I dont know why it was necessary it was just a simple question. I honestly am so disappointed because I loved this place and their selections in glasses I have never had an awful experience with them but Im truly disappointed!

I went here years ago and have never gone back. I took my daughter and my son to get glasses and everything was fine till it was time to pick out the glasses. An older man helped us in that area and he was very rude! He practically threw the tray of glasses on the table and said You have state insurance so this is what it pays for! I said ok and he walked away. Then looked at some papers and said oh he has state too referring to my son. Fine! Started getting annoyed that his tone and attitude were very rude and Im assuming because I was paying with Medicaid. My son didnt like any of those glasses and I asked the man if he could show us different glasses that were on the shelf and he said No you have state! State only pays for those! I said yes I know that! So I went and looked at those myself and this man was no where to be found! He had left for the day and never said anything, just left us in the room until the girl from the front called out to us asking if we were finished. I will never go back!

My son had sprayed something in his eye when I called the office to make an appt for him they told me bring him in right away! The dr was extremely kind and assured me my little guy would be back on his feet in no time!

My family, along with myself, have been seeing (get it!!) Dr. Davis (the younger) for decades. In fact, he’s treated two generations of my family, thus far, if memory serves.He and his staff are phenomenal. Entirely professional while maintaining a personal touch. Never have been disappointed nor let down—even in slight emergency situations, when I needed a quick replacement pair of contacts, in a pinch.Cannot say enough good about all of these guys. They’re the best there is, in the Chicagoland area—and beyond!!

I find Davis Eye Care Associates to be very professional and caring when it comes to their patients. All of the optometrist are attentive to your needs. All members of the staff are always considerate and respectful, it makes for a pleasant experience whenever I come for my appointments. Jason is exceptionally knowledgeable when it comes to the final aspect of you visit, his professionalism and courtesy is comforting when it comes to choosing which glasses will be best for each individual.

Not happy with the service at all front clerk can be a bit snappy not friendly at all. Ive been waiting on my glasses for 3 weeks now..... The young lady that help me out with the glasses was very nice and professional. I would even known my lens was on back order so they say if i didnt call the office. Still havent received my glasses and no dates when theyll be ready.

Never will go here again. Last two times Ive come in here the front end clerks have acted snappy and unprofessional - its been two years so I cant keep catching them on a bad day. Its too bad because the eye doctor was decent. Its getting past the front end that I dont like dealing with. The last time I was in there they let a candidate have his way speaking to me as if I was an idiot. I had to shut him down politely but thought the staff should have stopped him. I think, he saw because I was a black woman he had the right to campaign me right in front of the doctor to go on to tell me how much he was against liberals who want to give handouts and so forth - sounded more like a subtle way to speak down. I was upset that the staff did not ask him to cease the behavior instead they all snickered with amusement as opposed to saying Mr. Nobody please refrain from appearing to solicit inside our office as not to upset our patients. I was so disgusted because even if a candidate that I agree with should not treat a person in that way inside a eye doctor - not the place. Come on...the ladies up front were too dismissive to me for the last time so I have dismissed my self from them. Be alert

I have been a patient for many years and the care Dr. Robert Davis has provided has been wonderful. I have a special condition with my eyes and he is always working to improve my vision and offer something better for me. He takes time to explain whats going on with my eyes and always has time for my questions. Although the time waiting can be fairly long at times, the office is well kept and with friendly staff.

At first when I got to this place I was like it’s really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. I place an order on a new pair of glasses. I waited a month for them to come in and that was only because I kept on calling them! I went it to get them and I didn’t like how they tried them on and adjusted them. The service that was provided while in office was fair. The girl who helps pick out glasses could have certainly been more friendly. I was not happy with the fact that I paid over $400 out of pocket for my frames and was not notified when they were available for pick up. I had to call and gather information even though I was informed that I would be notified when they arrived.

Money hungry and rude. Tried to scam my mom out of $100 when it was obvious the contacts were cover under my insurance. Were very rude when I had issues putting in my contacts in when I never had something close to my eye before. Keep sending me letters in the mail about giving them money for contacts that I refuse to wear and will be getting glasses. Will not come here again.

Ive been seeing Dr. Davis for something like 20 years, and will continue seeing him as long as Im able to (and as long as he keeps me able to see him). Davis Eye Care puts Profits over Patient Care. I lost one contact and the other contact ripped. I called and asked the office for a trial pair to cover me till my appointment. After waiting 2 days for a call back, I was told NO. I would have to pay for another 2 boxes despite the fact I had an upcoming.appointment.
