Amazing sandwiches!!! My favorites are The Club and The Italian. They take about 10-15 minutes for food to be prepared. Service staff is friendly. Cleanliness is okay. Sandwich day is my favorite day. One of my goals this year was to do a sandwich tour and this is a GREAT place to try different types of sandwiches!! My favorite sides are onion rings and fried pickles
Good burgers and sandwiches. Loved the spicy cheese curds with spicy ranch. Menu prices of burgers and sandwiches dont come with fries. Bathroom not clean and not well stocked with toilet paper. Entrance doors were gross, not that I ever touch them. While I understand the dive vibe, some things just looked too run down.
I ate at this place at its old location and loved it. This was my first trip to the new place and it was a 100% let down. I had family from out of town and talked it up pretty good based on my previous visit a few years prior. We went around 2:00 in the afternoon and was only one of three groups there. Our server was real nice, but seemed to be the only person in the place working. After being seated, we started ordering just to find that they were out of 40% of the items we requested. Once we settled on what we wanted, it took a great amount of time to get our food. The sign quoted a 25 minute food wait and it was every bit of it if not more. Once the food came to us, we were told they were out of one of the sides we ordered. We just went without that item at this point. They failed to bring one of the ordered items and so we just went without it as well. The bacon cheese fries were pitiful with very little cheese. The bathrooms are unisex, but they are multi-stall bathrooms, so be sure to lock the door if you dont want a gender specific person walking in on you or your kids. Over all I was not impressed and will not ever be a customer again. If this was the service for three groups, I would hate to see it if it were full.
I have to sadly add my voice to those who loved the old Other One but were disappointed in the new. (Please check the age of the reviews; any review older than a month from this one refers to the old location.) I cant comment on the food because I cancelled my to go order for two Vol burgers 30 minutes after placing the order in the restaurant and being told that they would be out in 10 more minutes. The sign that other reviews mention warns of a 20 minute minimum wait unless they are busy. Then the wait will be 40 minutes to an hour. The sign also states that this is because that they are now a full service restaurant and have three times as many customers as before.During my 30 minute wait, I counted no more than 9 customers at any time (myself included) and no fewer than 5 staff members. So I might have gotten my order in 20 minutes if there had been three customers?I may try them again with a call ahead to go order. But I would never bring a visitor or recommend the restaurant (as I have in the past) as it now stands.I miss the atmosphere of the old place. The new one doesnt seem to have any character. I loved the old place and take no pleasure in giving the new a bad review.
Nice options on the different types of burgers and unique. This time I stuck with a typical cheese burger with bacon, but we also got chicken fingers, hotdogs, fries, and a milkshake that was all tasty. My order got a little messed up and it took a little bit to get everything but in the end it was great. Like the closeness of the old location to the Oak Ridge pool but the new location isnt that far away. 6 minutes to drive now as opposed to crossing the street from the pool.
Customer service was very good from the cashier/hostess. She was helpful and offered recommendations. I ordered the tank burger x2, the wildcat burger, onion rings, fried pickles, and a basket of curly fries.($50.00) The restaurant had a few guests and a few to go orders while I was there waiting. I was told approximately 25 minutes but it took almost an hour. A guy Finally brought my order in 2 tied bags and apologized for the wait. I took my order home about 10 min from there. The basket of fries was not in the bags, the burgers were fair but probably could use a better bun. The onion rings were fair, The fried pickles were not edible ( completely burnt to a crisp) just ended up throwing them away. I tried this place for something new,and their ratings. I personally would not recommend wasting your time or money. I was very disappointed and the reviews were not an accurate depiction of the current Service or Quality expected.
Definitely not a review I want to be writing! I have, historically, been a huge fan of the Other One. After reading about the issues theyve had upon reopening, we decided to wait before visiting this iteration so that had time to work out the kinks. But oh. The kinks, they have not been worked out.Upon coming in, we were told that it would be a 45 min. wait for food. We were in no rush, so said sure. Upon being seated we looked around in disbelief. While a sign at the register asks customers for patience since the new restaurant has a capacity 3x that of the old, there were only 6 booths occupied. Some had already received their food. They were not accepting carryout orders. 45 minutes? Given the menu, a skilled cook should have been able to push the mains quickly while one of the plentiful front of house staff dropped fries or expedited. Needless to say, this did not happen. But thats getting ahead of the story! We ordered cheese curds as an appetizer; we were told they could bring those out while we were waiting on the mains. 30 minutes later, we were told there were no cheese curds. We were also informed that my original side was unavailable. We went through replacements: Curly fries? No. Sweet potato fries. Yes! Okay, wonderful.1 hour and 7 minutes after ordering we had our sandwiches and sides. Our sandwiches were a BLT and a mushroom Philly. I can only assume the cook was making one order at a time for it to take 1 hour and 7 minutes to present a sandwich which only needed 2-3 strips of bacon on the grill, and another whose main grilled component was mushrooms. But at that point the wait was almost funny. The bigger problem? The third-choice sweet potato fries were, to put it nicely, well done. To put it honestly, they were burned to a toasty shade of brown-black with some pure black accents on the edges. The waiter took a look at them and brought them back to the kitchen. They were then sent back to us, with a waitress (?) claiming that they were simply a new brand (Great Value - Walmarts finest), and that while they looked burned, they tasted just as good.Reader, I tasted them. They were burned. The edges were charcoal. We sent them back again. The same waitress (?) insisted theyd only been in the fryer for a minute, so they must have been fine.Have you worked in food service? I have. A frozen fry, sweet potato or otherwise, should not take under a minute to cook, and certainly shouldnt take under a minute to burn. They claimed the oil had been changed the day before, and our onion rings came out fine, so my suspicion is that theyd allowed the sweet potato fries to thaw and then tossed them in the fryer. Hence the overcooking/burning.And still, the restaurant insisted they were perfectly okay. Now, Im not a the customer is always right sort of person. Frequently the customer is wrong. The customer can be unreasonable or difficult. ...But sometimes the food is just burned and it makes much more sense to say, Sorry about that, well try with a fresh bag, than to insist a product that is clearly burned is fine. Its not all bad. Our waiter was very good, and trying his hardest - he seated us quickly, was prompt with taking the orders and doing drink refills, and was apologetic about all the mishaps. Of the food we received, both of our sandwiches were good, and the onion rings were fine. The product shortages were a little frustrating, but Covid, supply chains - eh. Just communicate to FOH whats missing at the beginning of the shift. The wait time was completely unreasonable given the number of customers (again, we were quoted 45 minutes - already laughably long - and it took over an hour!). And the sweet potato thing! Why, why, why would you keep insisting to a customer that a burned product is fine? We have tastebuds! They desperately need an experienced GM who knows the business and is willing to address problems rather than making excuses.Well be back eventually, but itll be after another few months. Maybe by then the kinks will finally have been worked out.
The Other One Deli has Great food. I got a burger, curly fries, and a milkshake. My entire meal was delicious and above my expectations. The burgers were very filling for 1/3 lb patties. The four of us loved our meals and we will be back the next time we’re in town. I also recommend trying the zucchini fries, they were surprisingly delicious.Thank you for a great lunch, we all left full and very happy!
We waited no less than 30 minutes and since theyre so disorganized at the front, they couldnt track whos next in line. When a table finally became available, the people that came in behind us said they were next and marched their happy butts right to the available table. We waited another 15 minutes, without acknowledgement, and left. While we waited, at least four different parties left as well as a to go order that tried to phone in but nobody answered. This was a terrible experience but, understanding that they just relocated, well try again in a few months.Google forced me to give a star rating, I hope to be able to adjust after another visit.
Amazing local dinner. The owners and staff go above and beyond for their customers. Please remember this isn’t a fast food restaurant that has food cooked from a plastic bag or ahead of time. Your order is made to order with all ingredients added at the time it’s cooked. If you can understand that you will be very pleased with your meal.
We have always loved The Other one and understand that since moving into the new building they are still trying to work out some kinks. We were a little disappointed tonight. This was the first time we have been to the new building and it was nice to sit down and order like a full service restaurant. My husband ordered the italian sub with no onion, fries and soda. I ordered wings with two different sauces, zucchini sticks, and a soda. My husbands sub came out with turkey on it which was not supposed to be on it so they did politely remake it and the manager explained that they had new cooks. The second sandwich was good other than one side had onions. The wings were a little overdone but I ate them after knowing they are training new cooks. The waitress noticed we needed refills but never got them and when we asked for the refill she explained that she could not give us any because the machine had been cut off due to them closing. We were not aware that they were closed and it would have been nice to have had a refill before they cut the machines off. I want this new building to work. I want to give them another chance because we have always loved their food. If I can give any advice it would be to train the waitress to pay more attention to their customers needs and make sure to always keep drinks full and if its close to closing time let the customers know because we didnt see a sign and we arrived at 7:20. Also if you know your drink machine shuts off at a certain time check with your customers before that time. I wish The Other One the best of luck to succeed in the new building.
I enjoyed eating at the Grove Center location. It was centrally located and easy to get to. I live outside of Oak Ridge and I came to specifically to eat at The Other One. The new location is not as easy to get to. That being said, nothing in Oak Ridge takes much time to get to. Besides the location, the reason for two stars is my husband and I drove back from Nashville and detoured to Oak Ridge to try out the new facility. We checked online to make sure they were open and the times of operation. When we arrived they were closed. Needless to say I was disappointed. I will give them another try and report back.
I have NEVER walked out of a restaurant before... Well we just did... empty restaurant... never got our food after 45 minutes after we ordered! We always had a great experience when yall were in Grove Center... Super sad about this....
Better service at old location. Took 15 minutes after ordering to realize they were out of chicken that I ordered. Too long even for sit down food place.
I love this place but was underwhelmed today. New locations take some time. Burger was over cooked and blt bacon was burned. The kitchen was full of smoke. I don’t think the cooks paid attention. Still love the other one but maybe I’ll give them some time to work out the kinks.
Walked in, there are signs warning the new establishment has waits that will be a little longer than the 20 minutes folks are used to due to more customers in a bigger space. No problem. Its 7pm, there are less than 12 people in the restaurant, and some already have their food. My order was taken within 2 minutes of being seated.30 minutes into my wait, another table which ordered before I arrived were told they had a printer malfunction and their order hadnt even been received by the kitchen, so they left. Another 15 minutes go by and now my waitress comes to me (45 minutes after I ordered, mind you) and says itll be another 25-30 minutes still, is that okay? The first update I got was 45 minutes into waiting for a burger with bacon, at a restaurant which now sat only 9 people. 6 of which had their food. The remaining two? They were just told another 20 minutes even though they ordered before I arrived.A sign saying slightly longer waits than the 20 minutes youre used to is insufficient if its a 70-75 minute wait for a single burger on a not so busy night. I will never be back here.
New location. We tried for first time. Three things we ordered off menu were not available. Maybe they need to update their menu. Food was ok. Maybe our next time will be better. Will try again.
Great food as always. Great and friendly staff. Nice little diner to enjoy a nice meal.
I loved this place before they moved. I understand theyre doing table service now, but the waiters need training! The menu is more limited now, which saddens me because my favorite sandwich is no longer on it. I tried to get something similar, but not all the toppings were available since they ran out. I waited 30 minutes for my sandwich to come out, which is way more than my lunch break allows. I really hope this restaurant can get it together, especially since its locally owned and part of Oak Ridge. I might try again in a couple if months.
Absolute worst. Food took absolutely took too long to be served even though there was hardly anyone was there and the food wasn’t even cooked right despite the wait time. Also, absolute worst place to work as well. They try and tell u what u can and can’t do outside of work. Despite being completely out of jurisdiction according to their employee handbook they fired my son. Why say your going to open an investigation about a situation when your going to fire them anyway. Again absolute worst place ever and major disappointment
They moved for people that dont know to hwy 95 oak Ridge turn pike . When you go in they seat you an tell you wait is 30 to 40 minutes just for a hamburger or hot dog an fires . Uhm . Seems they dont have there progress up . Grill is to hot hamburger was burnt edges an pink middle not cooking correctly the heat is not even distributed thru the meat an this can be done on a hot plate is all I got at home . Taste was pretty good though cause I like pink middle but not burnt edges . Fries good . Served good . Friendly servers .
Delicious!! Service left a bit too be desired...But Donnie (owner?) made up for it 10 fold!! Will definitely be back.
Staff was wonderful! Still need some kitchen tweaking but will go there again definitely
Absolutely one of our favorite places to eat!! Everything on the menu is amazing but as a vegetarian finding a place with so many options is thrilling. Whether its a veggie burger done in a 100 different ways or a tofu reuben I have never left not satisfied. The laid back feel and friendly staff is also a plus when coming over from the pool or coming in to eat with the family. We are so glad we found this Oak Ridge treasure.
Was really excited to eat here had pretty decent reviews from locals and was recommended... Honestly wasnt impressed... Service was decent and the bill did reflect our dissatisfaction... If in the area again Id probably try them again and order something else
Used to be a favorite, but doubt Ill return. They desperately need to bring in a consultant to streamline things, it takes laughably long to get food out. Theres no reason a burger and fries should take 40 minutes when the place is empty.I dont know what happened to his place, staff was excellent at the old location, it seems that they are now gone and all employees are new and untrained, they try but are being set up to fail.
They have moved to a new cleaner place on the west side of town. The New place has been open a few weeks so I thought I would take a chance. The food is prepared fresh.. apparently so fresh I can imagine they dont go to the store and buy it until you order or maybe they are raising the cow. Had to wait over an hour for Hamburgers and fries... A well done burger and fries takes less than 10 minutes to cook. I was already seated and ordered before I heard the wait staff telling the customer behind me that there was a 45 minute wait for food. She was wrong.I dont understand it taking an hour for Hamburgers and fries. But then when I finally got the order. It was wrong. Even after having a full discussion with the waitress on what comes on the burger and being assured... they still didnt put what I asked for. None of our orders were correct. Waitress offered to have them cook it again, but we didnt have another hour to wait, so we just ate it.Over heard one of the wait staff telling the other how the cooks were Killin it in the kitchen.I laughed. But we wont be back.
I went their with my daddy and went in and talked to the good looking gentleman at the front and asked for a milkshake with strawberry and orange swirl and the man immediately went at it and started working at it like a dirty dancer getting paid $100 for a lap dance and not surprised about this but the milkshake was amazing. I was a little sad because he didnt leave his number on the milkshake but besides that everything was good
Great food server was new so that could have been better but he is learning owner touched table and let us sample their Mac and cheese it was awesome definitely recommend this place
Called in an order for a hotdog and fries. Was told it would be ready in 35 minutes. Arrived at the restaurant. Waited 10 minutes before anyone even noticed me. Paid for my order. Employee walked away. Finally got the attention of another employee. Told it would be 5 minutes, that they had just dropped my good to cook 10 minutes later the manager asked what I was waiting for. I told him it was a to go order, to which he rudely repliedwhat is your order! I told him and he walked away 10 minutes later my order FINALLY came out, WRONG!! I asked for a refund, and the manager came out and stated rudelyI already have sent you a refund!! Check your bank account!, and walked away. Rude, unprofessional management, very under trained staff, VERY SLOW SERVICE!! Will not go back, and will not recommend!! Went to old location a couple of years back, good experience! I understand they have new owners, though. Dont know if they will make it if they fon:y DRASTICALLY IMPROVE!!
There is a sign on the door that basically says dont get mad if your food takes longer than usual, so I expected a wait. Here is my experience.Pros:Server was attentive to refills.Staff is friendlyMenu selection is extensive and interesting. We had a fun time reading it and jokingly suggesting some of the more adventurous items to each other. They serve beerCons:Took over an hour after placing the order to get 3 burgers that were very dry and a veggie sandwich. No reasons or updates while we waited. Two of the four meals came out 10 mins before the 3rd which was 10 mins before the 4th. This left us the awkward choice of waiting for all the meals and eating cold food or rudely eating while the others wait. Two of the meals were incorrect. One item that was ordered didnt come out with the meal and when we asked about it we were told that the zucchini sticks are no longer available. This wouldnt be an issue if informed when the order is placed or sometime during the hour + wait. Finding out after everyone else finished eating isnt acceptable.Bathroom was not clean. This place seems like it could be a great spot, but after this experience, we will not be recommending this restaurant to friends.
I miss the atmosphere of the old place, but the food was still good and servers were super nice, especially Nathan.
The food was underwhelming, rather average. They lost a star because of the way it was served though. 1 persons order was brought out at a time and everyone was finished before the last burger was brought out. People with kids will know why this is an issue. Everything was SO disorganized as well, including paying for the order.
Hey, so I don’t really have good things to say about this place. the old location and owners were great!!! but we just had it today and it was totally different. the cheese curds were good but. the burgers are smaller then they used to be. I got the cheese quesadilla and it was burnt. it took about 30 minutes for our food to come out. it was not busy at ALL! I also ordered a side of queso like it said on the menu. it was just a cup of cheese. I will probably not be coming back. our drinks were always empty. they never come to our table so we had to go up there to ask them for the bill. the price was way to much for what we got though. They seasoned the firecracker fries WAYYY to much. we couldn’t even eat them. and it’s not in the middle of the town at all! Not coming back at all! also when we were sitting there waiting for our food. the hostest was not there and so people walked in and standed there for 10 minutes and no one ever came to seat them. The hostest walked past them and never said anything so they just walked out. of course I don’t want this place to shut down but with the way it’s going they might have to. and the owners are NEVER there so they can’t fix the problems.
Couldnt tell you how the food tasted because I never got my meal after waiting an hour and a half our server came to us and said it would be 25 more minutes then proceeded to argue with me telling me it had only been 30 minutes not to mention they tried to bring us the wrong food. Sweet tea tasted like dog water
I like the setup better before they moved with the menu on the chalkboard and you order before you sit ... thats what made it unique. Not crazy about the menus and it seems as if the menu choices arent as many as before.
10/10 I encourage everyone to go ASAP, but be prepared to wait even if theyre sorta busy because the burgers are hand pattied to order. This place is nuts and very eccentric, but the food is top notch. They have a gigantic burger and hot wing eating challenge that neither one of us were interested in trying today lol. Some of the regular menu items are the Little Boy with three 1/3lb patties for $13.20 and the Tobin with double patties, bacon and entire grilled cheese sandwiches as buns.. top AND bottom.. also for $13.20. Their burger game is real and they have plenty of options in the standard price range for high quality, fresh burgers too. I just wanted to highlight those two and I cant forget to mention the big mack daddy one for $26.40.. its called the Fatman and it has 2 pounds worth of patties with a pantsload of bacon and cheese. I had the double patty melt and its impressive... plenty of onions with a bit of crunch that arent cooked to death (Im sure they can cook them longer if you prefer), cooked medium-well (again, just preference) and this stellar toasted marble rye with an unbelievable amount of butter and burger juice in it. I really dont know how the bread holds that much liquid.
Ordered carry-out. Food was ready within 10minutes even with an additional burger added at the last minute. Seems like things are picking back up here!
Food was delicious. Although the price of your sandwich would lead you to believe that it comes with a side. But no.Service is okay. I say okay because I couldnt find a better word. Dont bring your family. Apparently they frown on large groups. Want to test it? Walk in with your family and watch the cooks faces.
Decent burger (a little overcooked), but the issue was it took 56 minutes to get some burgers, dogs, and Italian sandwiches. We didnt have 1.5 hours for lunch, late getting back to work.
Been here a few times now. Its hit or miss on the service you get. But, the food is amazing and tasty. They have a wide selection of burgers, salads, and regular sandwiches. I have the tank and it actually fills me up and dont forget to tell them what size of burger patty you want.
Burger was really good but it took 40 minutes to cook it.
The Other One is knocking it out of the park, after moving to West end of Oak Ridge, they have work so hard to open a nice restaurant, we had great service, Thank you Dakota:) food was delicious 5 Stars all the way!
I had the best pastrami sandwich ever there!!! It was so amazing.. The customer service was excellent.. They have a huge menu selection.. They must of had a 100 of different hamburgers on that menu to try. (That might be a bit of an exaggeration, all I know is there was lots to choose from.)I am looking forward to going back soon..From the outside of this restaurant it doesnt look like much but when you get inside its cute, with several antique accessories.. I highly recommend this place...
The Other One was one of our favorite stops, we take trips to Oak Ridge solely to get a meal there. When we learned that they moved locations we were a bit bummed because the old building was part of the charm of the place, but Im not going to hold that against them. We decided to try out the new location, but the experience was not good.We should have taken all the signs posted up that said We are a full service restaurant now so things take a long time. I shrugged it off, but looking back, what does that even mean? It seems like the only practical difference in the service from the previous location is that you no longer ordered before you sat down and you didnt get your own drinks. At any rate, the hostess said it would be a 30 minute wait. We assumed she meant for the food to come out as there was plenty of open seating, so we said sure and we were promptly seated. What that turned into was a 20-30 minute wait for them to take our order and get us drinks. And then another 20 minute wait on top of that for our food to come out.As we waited, customers came in wondering if their order was ready. One gentlemen had been waiting almost half an hour for a *rueben* and was told it would be another 15 minutes. He could have been nicer about asking for a refund, but geeze. Several other customers came in after us, but the staff turned them away telling them that the kitchen had stopped taking orders well before closing. One couple had been sat for several minutes before being told they wouldnt be served. My wifes food came out well before mine and it was cold. The portions were smaller than our previous experiences ordering the same dish. When my burger came out I heard the kitchen ring the bell, so it should have at least been hot but it was also cool. Fires werent seasoned (but hey, I could salt them to my taste at least I suppose), but the burger was still tasty.Waitress/hostess (she was doing both) never refilled our drinks, they sat us at a table that didnt have napkins or condiments (the ones around us did and we had to grab from them ourselves), and we didnt get our check so we had to get up and wait for them to acknowledge us so we could leave, as another gentlemen stood in front of the hostess stationed being ignored. Behind us another wait staff was defiantly showing a couple their ticket so they would know they werent the one to mess it up.Nail in the coffin, no habanero lemonade and we were charged 50 cents for water, which Im at best ambivalent about. It was a terrible experience and it breaks my heart. As noted above, we really loved it at the previous location. This new spot seems to be in desperate need of both a front of house and kitchen manager. Im never one to write a place off completely after a bad experience, so well give it another go in a few months if theyre still around. Hopefully its just growing pains.
First time today, Ive been missing out. The OODDD has a great menu. The Vol was delish (according to the wife) and I had the Tank. Outstanding. Best onion rings Ive had in a while, maybe best ever. Wings were very good as well but you gotta try the watermelon habanaro lemonade! Not sure if its a seasonal or what but its goooood! Went on lunch break so I couldnt partake but I am going back to dine in and have a cold one!
This is a good middle of the road restaurant. The food was good and well portioned for the price.
Service is slow and quality has dropped dramatically. They should have never moved.
I used to eat here all the time, but the burgers got smaller and fries are half of what you used to get. We walked out disappointed for the money.
The menu has too many items and was too difficult to read. Incredibly difficult to make decisions on what to order. No pictures for menu items made it even harder. Not good a place for people on the autism spectrum. Theres only sandwiches and burgers. It smelled like a gas pipe was leaking in there.Would only recommend to people who dont have sensory issues and can enjoy sandwiches and burgers.[Edit]: Menu needs pasta options.
Definitely one of the hidden gems of Oakridge. Amazing food.
Stopped in for lunch on 8/27 for the first time since Covid hit. Still the same great food and the staff was on top of everything. Highly recommend to anyone who hasnt tried this place. They have a large, diverse menu with reasonable prices.
Food was delicious but waited entirely too long for it. Service was sub paar.
An Oak Ridge deli just passed its semi-annual health inspection this week and will receive a follow-up inspection to address several cleanliness CLEANLINESS
The pictures doesnt do the food justice. The food is fantastic and gives the, others a run for their money. I recommend stopping by and trying the food. You wont be disappointed by any means.
The service was amazing, there are options for the whole family and I would re commend to anyone who has picky eaters!
Changed menu and was disappointed. Otherwise, not bad
Good food. I just got a regular cheeseburger and fries. You order at the counter and then have a seat and theyll bring it to you.
Little pricey, but good food.
After an hours wait and an hours worth of sorry we don’t have that, I left. Don’t know what the food might be like as this was my first and last visit. The mushrooms will take an hour, no plain chips, etc. Thanks for the unsweetened tea. Sorry no lemon. No air conditioning either.
Large selection of foods, mostly sandwiches. Reasonable prices. Good quality.
In March of 2020 The restaurant was sold. My name is Amanda and I used to own The Other One. Jimmy and I spent 10 years building a reputation of customer service and great food in a dive of a location. Recently (months after the sale and months after Jimmy was no longer employed by the new owners) we were accused of stealing some of our personal items that now belonged to the restaurant and not us personally. He is correct. I took the memorial to my Father down and I also took my heart out of the restaurant that day. One week later when Jimmy walked out of the kitchen for the final time he left with the soul. These things although tangible are not something that can be quantified in the sale. When you enter now you will still see us and our family on each and every wall but you won’t feel the heart and soul. And what you are not seeing is anything personal of the new owners. It’s as if they don’t want anyone to know we don’t own it anymore. They are relying soley on the reputation we built. We spent 10 years pouring everything we had into the business. My decline in health, and that we ran out of money prompted us to have to sell and it’s hard to watch something we built up go down the drain because the new owner simply wanted to collect a restaurant and not run it. The Kendalls accused me of theft and Jimmy of some super secret illegal thing that I should just rely happened. If the Kendalls had honored our bill of sale I wouldn’t have been prompted to leave this review message letting everyone know we no longer have any involvement in the restaurant.
Out dated facility. The music was loud for the enjoyment of employees competing with their TV and customer conversations. Our sandwiches were good and plentiful but, everyones french fries were cold. This location lacks attention to detail.
The Other One has so many menu options that its hard to choose. Today, I had the French Dip sandwich. My friends had the portobello mushroom Philly and the pizza burger. We were all pleased with our choices. This is a very popular lunch place so, be prepared to wait a bit for your food.
The new management has brought me up to 4 stars. The food is great its just the prices were always a lot. However they are now offering more deals/combos and we are probably going to come here more often! Nice atmosphere and staff.
I love the selection. Food is great. The service is good.
I enjoy every one I work with.Everyone is so kind and well and well mannered, very respectful..I am very blessed to be there with them.
Took over 40 minutes to get French fries then over an hour for a small burger
Horrible experience waited for an hour for a hotdog that I never got. Staff seemed like they didnt care. Wont be back. Terrible.
Best place ever. Unique sandwiches and great people.
Both highchairs buckles were broke. They were out of a few items that my table ordered, and the service was slower than at the old location. May try again but not sure at the moment
Sandwich was kind of lean, bill was pretty expensive. Chocolate eruption, cheese cake and chocolate cake was really good.
Great burger and sandwich shop. Service was fast and helpful. Good flavor and value.
The selection of hamburgers and sandwiches is phenomenal. The options are not your everyday choices. The food was served quickly and was hot and fresh. I had the Chili Shaq and zucchini fries. I also had some of the sweet potato fries, which were thin and crunchy, served with apple butter and absolutely delicious. Cant wait to go back!!
Had the tofu banh mi on a gluten free roll. It was so good! The gluten free roll was delicious. The sweet potato fries were served with apple butter, which was interesting. I prefer my dinner sweet potatoes with more savory dips and toppings, but I would definitely be down for this combination as a snack. I also tasted the onion petals, which were very good. Look forward to eating here again next time I’m in town.
Good food! Lots to chose from, its a bit overwhelming! Our party had the Italian, the black and blue burger and the hamburger mixed with pulled pork. Everything was tasty! Onion rings were good and crunchy but were a bit cold by the time we got them. Everything is made to order so be prepared to wait.
Great serving size and flavor
Great hamburgers in a simple old fashioned restaurant. The Sean’s spicy burger was HOT, but Don att the whole thing! I chose the Vol with jalapeños, delicious!I would recommend this one to everyone!
Well it said location was open but it was not. It looked like it was empty.
Id like to give this place at least 4 stars, but today was not a good day for them. Ive been here a couple of times and Ive normally received decent service and excellent food. The burgers are normally cooked very well and still juicy. The sides are usually hot and crispy. Unfortunately that wasnt the case today. It took them over half an hour to give me my food, several orders that were put in after mine were delivered, my burgers were all over-cooked, and everything was only warm. I hope this was just a one off today and they will return to their normal standard of burgers. Ill definitely try them again, and I would suggest this place as a good local eatery normally.
Waited over an hour for hamburger and fries. Very disorganized. Avoid this restaurant for now.
Delicious food. Fast friendly service. Everything made to order.
Youll never run out of delicious food choices. Amazing every single time Ive been. Theres a reason this is voted best burger and youll find out with every bite you take
Good sandwiches and friendly service.
One of the coolest places to eat in Oak Ridge. The other one has an extensive menu, with all manner of burgers, sandwiches, wings and other things. You want a huge burger, they got that. A spicy burger? They have that too. Highly recommended.
