Went week ago. Arrived during day light. Came out and got in my vehicle. Started up my vehicle and noticed a low tire pressure light on my dash. Drove across the street to Holiday to put air in. Long story short someone had slashed the inside of my tire. I was at a couple of places before coming here and if it happened I would of noticed. The only thing that I noticed was before entering the store there was a couple who kept looking at my vehicle as they were leaving. Im disabled and Im normally up front parked in the handicap. This store needs more lights and more cameras especially at night.

I ordered some deck posts in early June. They were back ordered by Menards multiple times. So now its November and winter is coming so I had to order the posts from another vendor. I went with my receipt to Menards to get my money back and they refused to refund my money because it has been more than 90 days since the original purchase date. Seriously! Its been more than 90 days because Menards has postponed the order multiple times...not my issue. I could see if I bought something and tried to return it after 90 days but I never recieved the order due to Menards postponing it. So I get store credit which means they kept my money and force me into using it at their store. This is completely wrong. Just a way to keep money. Poor business and not good customer service. Penalizing the customer for their issues and then forcing the customer to spend that money at their store. Wrong in every way.

We were not made aware of an item being part of the bargain area prior to purchase. The signage and communication regarding the return policy of these items is unacceptable. This was not communicated prior to purchase and the only indication is on the receipt. At the point of receipt, it’s already too late because the purchase has been made. As a result of the poor signage and lack of communication, we have doors that we are not able to return.The return department said “someone should have notified you at purchase.” This did not occur but regardless, the “he said she said” scenario can be alleviated with proper signage. We do a lot of work with Menards but I will be shifting my business elsewhere and advising my friends, family and colleagues to do the same.

(Oakdale, MN Menards) I had such a great experience at Menards last night. Mr. Johnson, I believe he must have been a manager was very helpful and patient. There were things I was looking for that other store associates said this particular Menards did not carry at the moment, but I run into Mr. Johnson and he was able to show me where everything was located. The one thing I didn’t find, he went above and beyond to show me options of what the store had in inventory. Thank you so much for your patience and professionalism. It is impeccable service like this that creates customer loyalty! Thank you Mr. Johnson for making my experience at menards a seamless one!

I love Menards so this opinion might be skewed but everytime I go there if I need help anyone I ask will either help me or get me with the correct person for help!

This store is very organized. I went here because my usual store was out of stock of what I needed. I looked at the website and it said they were in stock here. Everything was where it was supposed to be and was in stock just like the website said. Nice store will look at this store again if my usual store is out of stock

FM, love Menards. Shopped during the week with all very knowledgeable staff then shopped during the weekend and had the appliance sales guy helping in the plumbing area (because the staff could not answer my questions and didnt know what a whatchamacallit is). Thx appliance sales guy!

Was looking for some gardening supplies and stumbled upon a dead bird, looks like it’s been there for days. Utterly disgusting

Employees on the floor and employee at customer pick up were great. The woman at the pick up window has a great sense of humor. The guy at the register was grumpy. We all get that way I guess. Hope his day got better!

The gentleman working customer service was an absolute gem! Amazing selection of everything and we were able to get a lot of the oddball items we were looking for for my garden.q The cashier, on the other hand, wasnt exactly thrilled with us as we had a lot of open ticket items that he was unable to authorize himself so he had to call manager over a few times. Sorry, dude, if we wrecked your day! Overall, highly recommend this store!!

Pick up appliances in yard. Fast service, employees loaded stove and fridge with forklift. Sadly appliances had some damage.After contacting the store regarding damage, adjustments were made to the price. Great communication and resolution.

Nothing major one way or the other. Courteous staff, had most of what I was looking for. Though the offset to Courteous staff is they were hard to track down and things werent where I thought theyd be so I needed the staff to find the few things I was really looking for.

Plenty of cool stuff to look at and useful stuff to buy. You can find everything from lawnmowers, to hand soap. Also, some very friendly, and knowledgeable employees to talk to!

There was an argument and an older Anglo saxon female manager was not paying attention, there was long lines 8+ people waiting in 2 aisle on a Friday night.The woman was making excuses to customers instead of finding people to load or open up other aisles.Her and 2 other Anglo Saxon 60+ age workers were leaning on the customer service counter talking about gas station food for 5 minutes instead of focusing on the customers waiting to be assisted.They yelled at an older POC customer who had been waiting for 15 minutes for a large box to be placed in his van, for not wearing a mask when he came just inside the door to ask where the lot attendant was.He went and got his mask and asked where the help was and she said she didnt know. Then he asked for a refund. Then she denied him the refund... Finally calling the lot attendant on the radio.All while 30+ customers are in line waiting in 2 aisles. Then she finally calls for another cashier once I told her assertively Of course he wants a refund... Because you are not doing your job... Look at all these people waiting in line?? Do your job. As I am walking out the door.There was not one POC within the vicinity of the store front, they were all stacking products which I could interesting at first but now it all makes sense.This may be an isolated incident but from the attitudes of all the staff while I was there you could tell that leadership might be toxic.The carts in the cart chute shouldnt be pushed into a customer walking by no matter the age or circumstances of the worker doing the pushing.Very chaotic visit if you ask me.

Had everything I wanted. Attendant was disinfecting carts both as I walked in the store and out of the store. Appearance was clean and tidy as well.

I was directed to 3 departments by 4 people, none accurately directed me to it...until I ran across 3 employees just standing around in an isle. Finally, after 35 minutes, I had the one item I needed most. Also, I expect the parking lot to be snowy, but they need to make the front sidewalk between entry/exit doors safe by shoveling from time to time to clean up what we all drag in from the lot. Worst trip to a home supply store Ive experienced. Wont be back.

I will never order online from Menards again. There is NO live or chat customer service, only emails, and there is no response to those other than the issue of a ticket #. The # on the website for Moen & FedEx shipping is NOT for residential customer service. Guest Services at headquarters is also of no help for customers who want to know anything, but you can send them a letter or email. I spent hours 3 days in a row trying to find out where a shipment was, drove to a store hoping to find help there. I was sent to 4 different desks and no one could tell me more than I already knew. Done.

OAKDALE Menards is very put together wide isles and many items are back where they should be . Employees will to help at a minutes notice . Pro staff are knowledgeable with their work area and store is clean bright.

They need to replace their electric wheelchairs they only have two and they dont work all the time and theyre super old I go to home Depot they have 4 brand new ones and Ive complained to the managers and they havent done anything

They usually have what we need, and more often than not the staff knows their inventory, what its for, and how to use it. Far prefer Menards to other major competitors.

Slower lines at checkout, but overall a good store to get all of your needs for your projects.

I would give Menards 5 stars, but their wood selection is very hit or miss and more often a miss than a hit. I would recommend shopping elsewhere for wood, and just getting your tools at Menards!

This is by far the BEST Metro area and Western WI Menards. Heather and Isaiah in Building Materials are seriously my heroes. I am building a deck and the level of service I have received from helping with finding all the building materials, even those out of stock at this location, to getting 55 60lb bags of concrete to my house without me breaking my back, I couldnt imagine a better level of customer service.

Best service ever and I will be happy to be there for tomorrow.

I’m extremely disappointed with the way one worker told me that if my daughter was not wearing a mask that she needed to be sitting in a cart. I told her “she’s two and will not keep a mask on her face,” and then I proceeded to say “I can’t hold my daughter in my arms?” The women told me “No, she needed to be in a cart.” So I went and got a cart and my daughter screams through the whole entire store. Not really how I wanted my shopping experience to be but...... well I get home and check there website for there policy.... it clearly states in your arms or in a cart. Wish their workers would know the policy before telling someone what to do. I thought it was ridiculous.

Menards is my go-to big box stores. Mostly I use the Oakdale store which is smaller than most. My rating varies visit to visit. Today they had to do a price check on a sale item and it took surprisingly long, thus the 3 stars today.

Went to three different stores looking for a real basic (though evidently difficult to acquire) universal tv stand, and was about to go to at least two more when I called here, spoke to a lovely associate in electrical named Jessica who helped me find what I needed--and informed me it was on sale, too! She saved me $10-15 and a lot of driving. Thanks!

Menards is a great store. I love the great selection. The staff is friendly and helpful. They cut vertical blinds and shades while you wait. Its great! Theyve maintained cleanliness and physical distancing during Covid.

I go to Menards Oakdale, just if I must. They have some few good sales person, but most of them are very rude, impolite and even belligerent. Also Once they have their 11% deals going on, they will not price match anything further. I went in today 12/06/2020, and bought a few items, and gave a male cashier a rebate slip which he scanned, but will not tell me what the balance due was because he was on the phone complaining to a friend about his day at work. All this is after he couldnt greet or acknowledge my presence. When the transaction was done, he wont say thank you or furthermore, I found out that items like cement blocks are more expensive at Menards than Home Depot. The only one good thing that stands out at Menards Oakdale, is their return policy.

DO NOT BUY YOHR INSULATION FROM THEM.Home Depot has better prices on insulation and you can rent the blower for free when you buy 10 or more bags of insulation.Terrible management

Ask not one, not two but three associates for help finding wood shelf brackets. No one knew where they were located, no one looked for them and no one moved more than 1 foot from where they were standing!! This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 66 years!! I will NEVER go into that store again!! Store management needs to give these employees some much needed training!

Walked in with an idea for a project and walked out with what I needed and extra insight into my project.

The Lumber team is very unhelpful! This was my first time trying to pick up lumber, and I received almost no instruction and felt like I was very stupid for even having questions. Would not use them again! That being said, everyone else in the store was nice and helpful

This location is not allowing customers without masks. I’ve always liked Menards but this was a very poor decision and I wonder if they will survive it. BTW, their own employee behind the customer service desk wasn’t wearing her mask correctly so don’t think for a minute they’re asking you to put one on for your safety.

Well stocked stores and very clean

First time at Menards since Covid started. The parking lot was full. When I entered I was pleasantly surprised that it n.v was easy to monitor the distance. Check out was fast. Not crowded. I watched the cashier cleaning the card machine between each customer. Very positive visit.

Slightly messy store compared to most others and the shelves seem to be more empty but the staff is so worth coming back for.

The level of incompetence found at this store is staggering. Zero follow through, zero accountability, zero understanding of the implications their failures has on their customers. Having spoken with the management of the store it comes as no surprise. Garrett, Linde do not have any understanding of how to fix problems that their people create. It seems they get off on using the word no. As long as they have the $ in hand, its NOT THEIR PROBLEM. How do you combat that logic.... but they are in control right? Better call Big John, because these big swingings report straight to himIf you do business with this store I encourage you to reconsider. This is not a partner you can rely on. Save yourself the hassle and GO.... ANYWHERE.... ELSE. In the end I expect it will come at a lesser cost to you and the people relying on you to come through for them- Another Lost Customer

Completely pointless to order online the 12 item order was put in at 2pm its now after 6 it took being here 20 mins b4 anyone started to pick my order while people are standing around

They usually have the things you need, the staff are helpful in many ways. Most impressively is if they dont know the answer, theyll say so and work on getting someone who can help.

My husband wanted a piece of metal, they only had 1 piece left and it was a bent up and the manager wouldnt even give him a discount on it

The front end manager needs an attitude adjustment. Tried to return a tire inflator that stopped working. The reciept lookup kiosk was broken so they were making people take a picture of the screen and show them. They couldnt find the SKU from that picture, and apparently they had no other way to find it since the item wasnt on the website. The nice girl at the desk called the front end manager who glanced at the website and then said We cant help him, try going to another store to print the reciept she then pushed my item back at me and called the next person in line. This is just 2 weeks after I spent $800 on new prefinished doors from this store and they arrived full of dents, chips, and scratches with the finish quality being extremely poor and splotchy as well. Had to haul all of them back to return them as well, and they then tried to charge me a 25% restocking fee. The Woodbury home depot is my new go to.

I have bought so much from this store over the last 10 years, the staff is always helpful even to the Do It Yourself type folks like myself. There is only one person there ive had a bad experience with in plumbing but I think hes just a grumpy old guy and thats the way he is. The paint, tools and flooring department have been lifesavers for me!

My receipt at checkout was printed at 4:20 pm. I drove directly to the yard. I waited and waited. They finally brought my three items at 5:24pm! Then they did not have any twine!

Practically everything from soup to nuts (and bolts 😉). Surprising how wide of a variety of items they carry and sell. Some things are over priced to me, but much of what they sell is less expensive than in other types of stores. All and all, I do shop there often and enjoy the 11% rebates they have available much of the year. Of course, thats if I remember to send it off in the mail. 🙄 😄

Its Menards so you know they have everything. The issue with this store is the lack of knowledge the staff has. The store also always seems to be very under staffed. There are a few great employees that have helped me out in the past. I now go to Home Depot if I am doing a bigger product as they have more knowledge to answer all my questions.

Just a consumer. Not in the trades. Always helpful. You do have to pick your lumber.
