First I have to say the customer service was excellent! The staff was very pleasant and they made you feel super comfortable with their laid back style. As for the food, the ribs are tender, the brisket is flavorful and smoky. I like the collard greens, baked beans and black eyed peas they all had great seasoning.The different types of BBQ sauces (hot, sweet, and mustard based) are all tasty. Now for the critiques the coleslaw was not my favorite nor the sweet potato fries they definitely needed some salt or something. The cornbread was dry and didnt taste good. Overall it was a great experience at this cozy spot. Im definitely going to visit again. I totally see why they have been in business for a very long time!
Delicious! Dixie Pig barbecue has been around 33 years! And still awesome customer service and food! We are from Naples and we don’t have a barbecue place as good as this! Rib tips, pulled brisket, baked beans, corn bread and collard greens. All delicious like $13.00 super affordable for the amount of food you get. You can taste the Smokey barbecue flavor! Customer service was excellent and friendly! Highly recommend! Very clean!
Best BBQ in S FL! Im originally from NC and this BBQ is better than the best NC spots. The staff is always super friendly also. I normally speak with Amber, whos grandfather started the restaurant. She always makes me feel at home. Be sure to try all 3 of their sauces. All are amazing, but cant beat their NC vinegar based sauce!
Excellent local bbq joint. Staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. Real smoker BBQ, not pressure cooked and reheated like big chains. Relaxing atmosphere and the porch has plenty of fans :)
Had a craving for ribs. Ordered takeout the wings and rib combo and it was excellent. The smoke flavor was great. Super tender and the sides were just as good. Plenty of sauces. I highly recommend.
Yum. Really great atmosphere, the outdoor seating has lots of charm. The food was flavorful, amazing and plenty, and you can tell they know what they’re doing in the kitchen. Also, the hospitality was nothing short of perfection. The only thing I’m disappointed in is the fact that I live 3 and a half hours away. Definitely recommend!!

Some of the best bbq Ive ever had! Large portions, fresh, tasty and consistent every time! Fried okra, collard greens amd the pork plate was to die for. Also, not a fan of hushpuppies, never have been but I ate all four of them that came with my plate! My new favorite go-to bbq place. Thanks, guys!
Took a package deal home. Definitely worth the price! I found the BBQ chicken a little dry, but the tips and ribs are excellent! Plenty of extra sauce in the package! I enjoyed the coleslaw, flavorful and a little crunchy. Good service, we will be back to check out other items on the menu!We are new to the area, have driven by and wanted to stop. If you order for pick up, make sure to double check your order. We are actually frequent customers of this place but This has been more than 3 times they forgot to complete the order. 3 times missing corn breads. The sad part is that the owner doesn’t care about the customer and doesn’t even want to take responsibility for their mistakes. Never an apology from them for the inconvenience of going back and forth to pick up the rest of our order .

Over the past five weeks of quarantine in South Florida I have been looking for the restaurant that has the best ribs. I have ordered from sports bars and barbecue joints around me and I must say at this week 5, Dixie Pig BBQ has the best ribs I’ve had in a while. There really is nothing like the flavor that comes from a true smoker. Thank you for responding to my request for more bbq sauce and giving me three of them. And thank you for giving me what seems like a 2 pounds of ketchup, hand wipes and napkins. Keep up the good work, I’ll be ordering again soon!

Good old fashioned Carolina BBQ. There brisket is chopped (pulled) instead of sliced but is so tender and delicious. The staff is very friendly and has good suggestions if you dont know what to order...

Definitely not all its cracked up to be. I got the Infamous rib tips and they were barley warm and were super dry. Mac n cheese was okay. We also got smoked chicken wings and they must have been cooked twice because the inside was hard and dry. I didnt think you could dry out a chicken wing. Smh probably wont get it again. I feel like it would have tasted really great if it was fresh. It had great taste it was just so dry.

I spent 1978 and 1979 in North Carolina, where I picked up an insatiable need for North Carolina barbecue and Brunswick stew. I havent found anywhere in southeast Florida thats a better match for these Foods then Dixie Pig Barbecue in Fort Lauderdale. This is your basic take away and outdoor seating sort of casual counter but its thats just fine. The service is friendly, too.

This has been my fav BBQ spot for the last year, I even made my bf bring me food when I lived out of town lol! Now I live in the same town and always remember to grab a bite from here. Smokey delicious tender and the sides are also delicious (love the fried okra). The price is also fair.

I purchased ribs,, pulled pork and cheeseburgers. My order came to $68.00.I asked the lady could I have some more sauce since she only gave me two.I go a speech about how it cost to provide condiments and thats why they only give two. Mind you I did not receive any sauce for my one pound of pulled pork. This is the second time I have been told I could not have anymore Bar b que sauce. Now I have made my mind up. I will not be returning to this place nor will I be recommending this places to anyone. Sad because I am a Bar b que lover. customer service is horrible.

First time here have driven by countless times and have had lunch delivered from here but actually eating fresh food out of the kitchen was a totally different experience.Super welcoming staff and felt like I was at a family members house.The catfish was super fresh and not dry at all. The brisket platter was delicious and it was a huge serving. All the sides we tried and sauces were really good and got the desert for the road. Banana pudding and peach cobbler.Will definitely be back for sure.
I have been driving by this place for years and friends have recommended it but I havent tried it until tonight...and I am SO glad we did. This is the best BBQ I have had in town. The staff were so friendly and customized a family meal for us. I could not stop raving about the food once we dug in. The ribs, the pulled pork, the okra, the hushpuppies...all of it was DELICIOUS. The Carolina Gold sauce was just incredible. Great staff, delicious food and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely be back!
This place was okay. Nothing to brag about. I was very disappointed the brisket was absolutely atrocious! The only way to describe it would be minced flavorless meat. Fries was hot but did not appear to be fresh? Hush puppies great! Rib tips were good after saucing them up! Sweet Tea freakin AMAZING!
I like it. You eat outside but it is roof covered, also wont get wet when raining, they can close plastic clear blinds so you wont get wet. Kind like hooters. Serve lots of stuff. You order and they bring food to your table. Been few times.

Having lived all over the south, this is hands down the best bbq in south FL. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised, and took three bottles of their sauce home with us. The gold sauce is good on anything. I mean anything! Having recently moved to Chicago, we are trying to find ways to get their sauces up here! Can we order online?! We miss your restaurant already!
I used to go there in the late 90s and it was okay, stopped going for years. I was craving some pork so I decided to stop by. Damn it was good. Really good. I got the rib tips and pulled pork dinner. The best food I have had in a while. The place looked different and not run down. The staff was very helpful. Very charming to be honest! I am glad they are still around!

The food was ok. Our family ordered a range of things like the brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, pulled pork platter and chicken. I had the pork and it tasted like it was drowned in vinegar. I couldnt finish it.Mac was ok and mash potato with gravy was meh.What really got me was how unnecessarily rude the woman who took our order was. We also waited 50 minutes for an order but I wasnt too surprised since we were just driving by, no call ahead. We saw reviews with great feedback on gluten-free items. When we got there there was a young girl helping taking orders. We asked her but she didnt know, which is fine, so the lady that took over tried to help. She was so incredibly rude to my sister in law and mother in law that I was embarrassed to have brought them there. The couple behind us also got yelled at by the same lady because he asked for chicken and they had just run out. They ended up leaving which is exactly what we should have done.

They must be under new management. Before, the staff and owners were not nice or friendly. Staff were super nice and helpful. Food was great. If you have a hankering for BBQ and dont want to spend and arm and a leg, this is your place

I just wish they didnt charge extra for collard greens.I dont know how long this place has been around (having just found it myself) but for now, Im a loyal customer. I normally never eat pork ribs, I always get baby back ribs, however they do not have these on the menu. After speaking to the sweetest southern waitress she talked me into trying the pork ribs, They were freaking out of this world good! The baked beans and okra was good too. I cant believe I havent tried them sooner! Hidden gem!

This place is awful the macaroni is undercooked and watery the greens are drenched in vinegar with no seasoning and the wings have a frozen taste. Please you’d be better going to McDonald’s then this place

Dixie Pig BBQ been around forver. I finally had a chance to order their food. I give it 2 thumbs up. BBQ is very good and would say its better than most of the BBQ places around. Though I think Tom Jenkins is the best Dixie Pig is still well worth trying.
The bbq chicken has no seasoning, had s very very racist experience with one of the customers who appears to be a regular. The staff heard him using racial slurs towards my friend and I and did absolutely nothing about it. My friend eventually cancelled his order and got a full refund. Horrible place, we will never ever return..
