Its the best place I know to buy bulbs, lamps etc. The personnel is efficient and very courteous. I have used them many times and LBU deserves 6 stars, IMHO!

Great selection of very high priced lighting which was not the problem. The problem is if you dont look like you can afford it they ignore you. Lots of people have money doesnt mean they need to flaunt it.

Please make an appointment with Michael Moreau. He worked with my wife and I with choosing all of our decorative electrical fixtures we wanted, as we are in the process of updating our entire condo . We live on the beach in Pompano and needed his advice on which fixtures would best enhance our condo look. He is very professional, experienced and our place came out great. We looked everywhere, and this store had the largest selection in all price ranges.

I walked in and right out because nobody was on the sales floor to help me, they looked at me while I walked in but didn’t say anything I waved hello and no response. Maybe because I was dressed in a hoodie? I won’t take it personally. Looked like nice lighting and I’ll be back for something soon.

A few years ago I purchased 3 outdoor sconces for my pool deck. The total cost was around $1100. A few weeks ago, one of the sconces stopped working. I went to LBU to purchase another bulb. I was told that the sconce should not have stopped working so soon. The salesman checked for a replacement and learned that the sconce and bulb were discontinued.LBU was able to locate a replacement at their Naples store. I was told that I would be able to purchase the sconce at cost. I was billed $176. + shipping. When the sconce arrived, I found an invoice in the box for $127 + shipping. I contacted the store and asked about the discrepancy. I did get a response and was told it would be looked in to. Since then, my emails regarding the matter have been ignored.I would not recommend LBU due to the poor and dishonest customer service that I received.Jeff York

One of the best lighting stores in Fort Lauderdale. Employees are friendly, EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and they will bend over backwards to find you the item you are looking for. They also have a very generous, and hassle free return policy. If you are looking for a unique lighting fixture that will be the center piece of a room, most likely they will have it. I love the place. Two thumbs up!!

Very high quality lighting but not cheap

I brought a bulb in I needed replaced. He looked at it but did not give me the correct replacement. I asked if it was the right bulb twice and he said yes it was. When I got home it was 15 watts dimmer. I paid full retail for that bulb and would have been better off ordering at myself online from a different vendor. Really disappointed I drove there.

My review isnt slighted against the store itself though as an architect I am not overly impressed with the stores content there is nothing in there I cannot locate online.My issue is with the customer service in particular Mr. Michael Moreau.I was in there with my client and felt so dismissed and disenfranchised by this little effeminate troll that if not for my clients loyalty to local business I would have walked out.As a sales associate he is abysmal to the point of mental anguish. This man is as pretentious as is possible putting on airs that he is construction savvy while disseminating any legitimate questions with an adjunct standoffish attitude ..simply put I would rather go to a dentist and have him pull my teeth out one by one without anesthetic than deal with that disjointed snobbish man.I tried speaking with the owner and left a message to that end with no call back so I suspect the message was intercepted by this delightful toad.

Went to LBU (Fort Lauderdale) today since Home Depot does not carry the dimmer switch for my 1980s-style lighting. The lighting reps were AWESOME. Within minutes they located exactly what I needed and the service was excellent. Made my crappy day a bit brighter. Will definitely visit this store for all my future lighting needs.
