The experience of going there is interesting, not in a negative way, more like it felt out of a movie. Seems like a shop ran by two knife enthusiasts. Knifes were sharpened promptly and for a reasonable price.

I dont like this guy. Went in looking for some Japanese steel, he rails against it and says I should be buying American. Sorry dude, westerners (at your shop) dont make knives with good steel. Not trying to replace my VG10 knife with another VG10, was looking to spend several hundred dollars on a carbon steel chef knife. Your loss.

It doesnt matter if youre looking for edc pocket knife, shaving equipment, or some other cutting blade, they have or can get it.

After a hiatus of patronizing the shop and moving away only to return the East Bay I learned today a few years ago (4) the shop moved to another location but the customer service and friendly atmosphere remains the same! As always my Andis clippers were fixed in no time. Thank you!!

Just visited them after 4 years, they were as warm and friendly as ever. Helped me resolve a simple problem with my clippers and didnt charge me for the services. The education they also offered was critical to avoid the problem in the future.

This place may be a little hard to spot from a moving vehicle if you dont know what youre looking for. Flat rate for sharpening, none of that fancy $1-1.50 per inch jazz that a lot of fancier shops and mobile guys try to push. Knowledgable, professional, and friendly. I highly recommend this place if youre in the market to have something sharpened.

Ive been going to the shop for many years now and dealing with the repeated slight reprimand whenever I want my knives sharpened while I wait and theyre closing early before published hours has finally driven me over the edge. You will pay a premium for knives here you can get better deals online I know that for a fact.

This shop is a fascinating place. there are no pretensions and very few fancy merchandising touches; instead, its crammed with products. on the knife side this shop has a wide assortment of styles and manufacturers--more than ive ever seen in one place. the prices always match and are often below the online price plus the guy who runs the knife side is a total knife freak, who will discuss in detail every item that meets your requirements.the shave side is equally well stocked and favors electric shaving. im not as competent to discuss shaving since my grooming is quite challenged. But every once in awhile my wife wants me to clean up so i purchase a shaving implement, and im always well satisfied.

The people that work there are assholes. I was treated very rudely during my first visit. And another time I called the guy hung up on me after answering only one of my questions. Dont waste your time.

These guys know what theyre doing, they really know knives and sharpening knives.

If you care about your knives, dont sharpen them here. Youll loose your edges original angle and they will reshape your knife.
