What is not to love about this place?! So many beautiful treasures on a regular basis with surprise finds from different artists and vendors on occasion. Their prices are fair and when things go on sale you can save big time. Literally every single employee is knowledgeable, helpful, and nice. I love that it is locally owned any a family friendly shop. It took until my late 30s to discover I enjoyed crafting and this is a perfect place for me to learn many crafts. I have taken classes with them as well and the instructors are amazing.

I love coming to this shop with to browse all of their amazing selections and plan for my next jewelry making project. The staff are so kind and knowledgeable and I love supporting this local business.

They have a lot of beautiful and unusual semi-precious stones here. Tools and classes are available as well.

You helped me today with a weighty clasp change on a sterling silver chain with a chunky tourmaline unfixed pendant.I had originally gone in as a repeat customer with a completely different idea of what I wanted to have done in order to not have the clasp make it’s way around to the front due to its weight.Amanda really went above and beyond in her attempt to get creative and procure my request. In the end there was a safety issue with a potential for the pendant Come off under pressure. Her colleague Amy got in on the action when Amanda had some questions. Both ladies were Helpful, friendly and customer service oriented. In the end the issue was resolved . I’ve been checking the clasp all day and it’s still at the back of my neck.Sara the owner clearly loves her career since any time I’ve been in all staff are friendly and helpful. One of the only beads shops left in the area. Staff are helpful. Store is clean and laid out well. You for sure pay a premium for the luxury of going to a shop and not having to wait for an online order from another spot. I hope they stay in business!

Blue Door Beads is a gem of a shop! Im allergic to cheap ear wires, and I was able to swap them out for gold-filled ones at a reasonable price here. They have tables and an assortment of tools so you can work on projects, which is a boon for someone who doesnt have the tools on hand at home. The last time I popped in, the lovely lady at the counter noticed I had a bee stuck in my hair, and she gently removed it for me! On top of that, she comped me the small rubber earring backings I wanted. Now thats what I call service!

BDB is truly so much more than a bead store! While they have all the wonderful beady stuff, it is the staff who are each so helpful and knowledgeable that make this a magical bead store. I had been struggling with a design to incorporate a friends watch that belonged to her bother who had passed away. I asked Amanda for ideas and we found the perfect solution! Sara, the owner, who it is very hard not to hug in COVID times, suggested a safety chain for another friends bracelet - she had broken the last one I had made for her. Amy just wears her own stunning designs...they all do Amys was just my favorite on this visit.

Their bead selection is top-quality! They also carry fastenings, wiring, and such. I could spend hours in here. They also offer workshops and frequently have trunk sales. WIN!

Had a big bead project to tackle and it went smoothly. The staff was very helpful to me and my needs. I will be going to them in the future for any further projects.

Friendly crafty people and beautiful collection of beads. Something folks dont realize is for a small ve (around $5 for what I needed) theyll do the fine motor as FOR you. I needed to make a necklace for a pendant and I have horrid crafty skills but lots of imagination! These prob will help you bring these disparate skills together!

Very patient working with my kids making jewelry. It can be hard to get a seat at the table though...

Visited these sweet spot while I was in town visiting and loved it! Great selection and they were soon headed to Tuscon to bring back more beauty.

Ive never been to a bead store, where the employees knew so little about the the products, their uses and any information. I got blank faces and questionable nos when asking questions. The seed bead selection is very limited, too large of sizes and too few of colors. When I called, I asked for hanks of seed beads, and showed up. They had no hanks. It was a very disappointing visit.

Great spot to get creative! So many materials to make some amazing jewelry for yourself or family and friends.
