I appreciate it how forthcoming they were with information in regards to what I needed for my tune up and what I didnt need. They could have said I needed a full tune-up but they didnt. they said everythings working great except you just need some new brakes so I appreciate their honesty and not trying to overcharged me for s*** I didnt need. And they called me informing me of this before moving forward on any repairs which I also appreciate it. Thanks guys

A part broke on my bike that made it unrideable (seatpost clamp), and this was one of the few bike shops that was open on Monday in the middle of the morning, and they had a replacement at a reasonable price. Glad its here!

Busted my front break and they were able to replace it within the hour when i brought it in for repair. Friendly, good pricing, good experience all around!

Theyre friendly and helpful, I can leave my bike here if the lockers are full. Once had an issue with brakes while headed towards Bart and they did a repair fairly quickly and at a reasonable price. Im a big fan. They also let me use a bike pump when I need one. Theyre awesome!!

TL;DR: one of these mechanics damn near killed meI went in with a slightly bent rim a long while ago; they said they could try to true the wheel, but if it didnt work then they could just sell me a new rim. I told them Id pay for either situation as long as it was fixed.I came back later and they told me they did the truing, so I paid and left. Got halfway across town before my bike threw me clean off it in a busy intersection. THE MECHANIC FORGOT TO TIGHTEN THE WHEEL BOLT.Also, the rim was still bent.Ive avoided going back for anything but parts, but they couldnt sell me a decent bell and they charge a high price for bike tubes. The last straw that had me writing this review was the guys telling me I couldnt even swap out the new tube in their store. They wouldnt even lend me a tire wrench to put my new tube in, a first in my long experience with bike shops.Its not often I leave bad reviews but this is now an avoid whenever possible spot for me.

So convenient and safe. I only wish they were open later and on weekends. More please.

Shady. Dropped my bike off and picked it up later to have them charge me $13 for a new tube. Hello? I did not authorize that. First off, if there was a hole in the tube I would have just patched it, PLUS, they didnt even have the original tube which astounded me. Very bad business practice. How are you going to charge someone for a replacement part and not show them the original? I dont even believe they replaced it they are just trying to screw me out of money. Definitely recommend the Downtown Berkeley Bike Station but stay far far away from this location. Will be contacting the manager to get my money back. DONT do work that your customer DOESNT AUTHORIZE you to do.
