I had to get some siding and some pressure treated lumber so I went to the nearest place that would have that for me. There was a small wait and you have to grab a number. I was helped by a very professional and friendly lady with my siding issue. My house was built in 1925 and the last time I went searching for my siding a long time ago at another place the guy their told me they dont make that and I ended up buying pine boards? And those were a bit different? But this lady at Economy Lumber told me that they have cedar whichis better than pine, also she knew the size and the type of siding. And she was on point! I was happy. So, at this place they have loaders that load your lumber and they direct you to the right spot of the lot, which I thought was cool because that beats all the walking around you do at those big box shops. The loader was also very professional and friendly. I was greatful for the help and ease of the total experience. And will recommend Economy Lumber for lumber needs. Very poor yard service ! Won’t allow wood workers to choose their wood to work with.. Truitt and White does, The Home Depot does.., etc. general company attitude is below average.Too bad,,, used to be a great yard with great management that really worked with their clients/contractorsOh well..

It was a good time to visit Econ Lumber. Very few patrons. I was looking for tongue and groove redwood planks. Lumber supplies in the U.S. are facing a shortage as a result of the pandemic. I had to go with pine wood for my project. Although there was only 3 customers in the store, it took nearly 45 min to get a small amount of materials.

This is a great huge lumber yard complete with all your hardware needs. The staff is friendly and they will help you find what youre looking for. They may be busy but they will make time for you.

I put in two email inquiries for a quote for a pallet of insulation, never got a reply. Went in person, and they were pretty unfriendly. I really dont want to use home depot, and you really cant do worse than home depot when it comes to customer service, but economy lumber seemed to push this low standard; they seemed to not even care. Weve gotten pretty good quality lumber from them in the past, way better quality than the chain stores. Maybe Ill try them again in a year or so.

Love love LOVE this place for lumber. Partly because the counter service and yard make me nostalgic for how my father and grandpa (yep, carpenter) bought their lumber but mainly because their stock is great quality and they have a lot of it. Its maybe a bit more but Id gladly pay it than have to go to the home cheapo

Its a good thing everybody LOVES this place. I called about buying a sheet of 3/4 inch plywood off of which I needed to cut 4-6 strips leaving me a 4 by 6 foot piece (building a crate for table marble). The salesman told be I would have to pay $20 for the four 4-foot long rips PLUS the cost of the sheet of plywood. Home Depot charges nothing for the first two rips and $.50 apiece after that. You do the math...

They usually just leave people on hold indefinitely if you call. Counter staff is humorless and unsmiling for the most part, During the pandemic quite a few of the counter staff didnt bother with masks which is pretty strange and disturbing. Eventually they got this sorted out but it went on for quite a long time. Did they not understand that the virus was killing people??

This is absolutely the worst shopping experience Ive ever had! I ordered a skylight to be 51 and 1/8 inch by 51 and 1/8 inch and I received a skylight that was 52 and 3/8 inches by 52 and 3/8 inches. When trying to return it I was informed that everything comes 1 and 3/4 inches bigger than you order it. It might have been nice for someone to tell me that before the order was placed. I am now stuck with a $600 Skylight that Economy Lumber refuses to refund me. Brenda Lopez, the person who supposedly helped me there, should lose her job!

Great, I love all the economy lumber yards. They give you that good old fashion feel, the way it used to be. Great service and everything you need to build wherever your project is.

Unreliable service. Called this company twice for window parts. They said to send an email requesting the parts. They do not respond to the email. Then you call them back five days later, and they say they had not read the email and do not know how long it would take to acquire the parts. No wonder why chains will swallow up independent suppliers.

Waited over 20 minutes with 4 other people because they only had one guy working to get orders filled. Saw two other workers simply ignore all of us waiting. The whole point of shopping here is they load the lumber for you. 20 minutes is a long time, all four of us kept ringing the bell for service, the other people waited longer than me. 3 stars cuz the guy cut the plywood.

I have been here twice now. The boards are straight, no splits or knots. You will pay a few cents less at Home Depot but you will also get much worse quality wood.Lots of people at front to help you, friendly & to the point. Come prepared with a list of what you want. I imagine most people shopping here cut their own wood, so if you want someone to cut it for you cheap/free, look elsewhere. After ordering in front, you drive out back and they load the wood for you. Now that’s service!Good selection of Simpson connectors, tools, and various pre-made wood products. You can also get products here you won’t find at HD like PSL lumber, strongwalls, etc, real stuff.

In 2014 I built a large shed and nearly everything, from the footings to the ridge beam came from Economy Lumber. This is a place where youd be smart to plan out your list and just hand it to the counter person. Tons of contractors come in here so they are mostly used to dealing with people who already know what they want... so if you know that you need help making a decision, your best bet is to come by later in the afternoon when the office is slower. I like that you drive into the yard, pull up to a stack and load directly into your vehicle. Its the next best thing to just getting supplies delivered. Overall I was happy with nearly everything I purchased from them and the guys in the yard were easy to deal with. I tried to tip a yard guy once after helping me with a large load and he said, thats OK, I get paid enough anyway. Pricing is always competitive (generally lower) than HD or Lowes but the lumber quality is also higher as is the number of options. Id head right back for my next big project.
